Grand Hotel Cavour Firenze

Absolutely wonderful hotel. The location is excellent with all major sites a short walk away. The building is blend of old and new, feeling like a boutique hotel with a unique style, different from traditional chain hotels. The rooms are clean and quiet. The breakfast option is worth the additional price since the selection was vast and convenient. The hotel also offers rooms for solo travelers. This is a must visit for anyone seeking comfort and convenience.

Good hotel right in the heart of Florence and steps from the Duomo. We were here for our delayed honeymoon and stayed in the corner suite 539. The room was spacious and pleasant, but no views and middling air conditioning (“sufficient”). Overall though clean, comfortable, and well presented. Hotel staff were polite and courteous, and they have a nice lounge to sit in if you’re passing time. Gym is very lackluster, tiny hand weights and a few machines, but better than nothing. The rooftop bar is absolutely worth attending, we made a reservation and had drinks there the first night, lively, social, and a fantastic view from of both the city and the Duomo. Location is hard to beat, walking distance from all the major neighborhoods and a 15 minute walk to the train station. It’s definitely in “tourist central”, but it’s otherwise kind of nice to walk out the door and be dead center in the action. Did not have breakfast with our rate, but it’s right next to the lobby and looked like the usual full spread you see in Europe. There’s a coffee shop right around the corner and you’re very close to a bunch of plazas with restaurants too. Overall solid stay

Hands down, the best positioned hotel to easily walk Florence. You can go for sightseeing in the morning, return briefly to drop off your purchases, and continue your journey in the afternoon without lugging things along all day. There are 10,000 places to eat within mere steps of the hotel. Probably some of the most helpful staff I have encountered in many years. I would not hesitate to return at a moment’s notice.

My wife and I stayed at the Grand Hotel Cavour for four nights and were very pleased with our experience. It’s a striking, beautiful hotel and a wise recommendation from our independent travel operator (Ciao’ Italy Tours). Our room exceeded our expectations. It was quite large and beautifully decorated. It was meticulously kept for our entire stay. The location is exceptional and because it was in a central area, our side trips and excursions were within walking distance. The breakfast offering and dining area are fantastic. There’s a great variety of healthy food and a very attentive staff. We highly recommend your hotel! Best wishes for your continued success!
