I stayed at Aurum Firenze during a business trip and had a very positive experience. The hotel was comfortable, well-located, and the staff were professional and welcoming throughout my stay. A special thanks to Leonardo Kevin at the reception. He was exceptionally helpful, friendly, and always ready to assist whenever needed. His professionalism and positive attitude made my stay much smoother and more enjoyable. I would happily recommend Aurum Firenze to both business and leisure travelers visiting Florence.

Had to switch rooms twice because WiFi and AC did not work. They knew both were existing issue and were annoyed at having to move me because I expected these basics that were advertised and needed. None of the staff were welcoming or at all concerned with my experience. Shocking for the price. Very loud!
It was a convenient location but other than that, room was extremely smelly like foul odor even with window open. There were mosquitos flying around my room and walked away with at least 20 bites...did not enjoy my stay.
We booked and paid for a double room but were given a one full-bed room instead, which was very disappointing. When we went back downstairs to address it, we were told there were no other rooms available and that this was simply what we would get. The shower was extremely small—so much so that even as a petite person, I couldn’t comfortably close the glass doors while showering. There was barely any space for our carry-ons, and surprisingly, no phone in the room to contact the front desk. The walls are paper-thin—we were woken up in the middle of the night by a neighboring guest being sick. The breakfast was also a letdown, with stale and old food. While the view was nice, it didn’t make up for the overall experience. To top it off, the front desk staff (particularly the main woman downstairs) was unhelpful and rude. Overall, not a stay I would recommend.
The hotel is in a great location, conveniently located near the main train station and Florence attractions. Everything from shopping to restaurants are within walking distance. The hotel itself is very basic. The walls are paper thin. You can literally hear everything going on outside your door and whatever is going on in the rooms adjacent. We were listening to people’s conversations, doors opening and closing, you name it! All from the comfort of our room. So if you’re thinking of getting freaky, be aware that your neighbors will be your audience cheering you on from the other side of the wall. The shower was incredibly small—phone booth small. The toilet sits so low, you might as well squat on the floor. But hey at least you’re doing your business in Italy as opposed to your house, glass half full my friend. Considering the walls are paper thin, the walls/windows to the exterior were thick enough to block the street noise, so that’s a plus. The staff was very friendly though, so that’s a plus…I mean that earns them a star. Breakfast is included, that earns them another star. The grand feast consists of TWO types of eggs, TWO types of croissants with the option of a filling from the filling station (that fragola flavor was empty the entire time), a large bucket of Nutella for all my Nutella lovers out there. Breakfast was supposed to include bacon, but the bacon never arrived. A juice machine, and few items of meats, bread, and cheese. I believe they had some cereal too, but who comes to Italy to eat cereal??? The automated coffee machine has coffee good enough to brew the morning bathroom session, but if you want real coffee pick any coffee bar outside the hotel….any will do. Overall, if you want a basic room to rest this will do. After all, you don’t visit Florence to stay in your room all day. If you want a goodnight sleep however, some sleep aids will do just fine, if anything remember sleep is overrated when in Italy. If you’re feeling a little grumpy next morning, there’s nothing an Aperol spritz won’t fix.
