Our family group of 10, from NY and Washington , DC, ranging in age from 4 to 70 something , stayed here for a week in late June/ early July 2026 to celebrate my husband's upcoming retirement. We had a GREAT time and would return in a heartbeat. My husband and I had been to Bermuda three times before ( two cruises and work), but really enjoyed this longer trip and exploring the east end of the island. Very nice quiet water view room, perfect calm water beach for the younger kids but lotsa activities for all ages... kayaks, SUP. Some snorkelling and a shipwreck right on site ! Excellent food, definitely a step up from the Caribbean and Mexico all inclusives we were familiar with. Staff exceptional; special shout out to June Ann and Arturo. Appreciated the nightly live music and daily tea time. Just had a wonderful time, never felt too crowded and very easy to catch a bus out front and explore off site attractions too. All of us hope to return !!!

The resort and staff are remarkable! Beautiful scenery, very clean lobby, dining area and restrooms. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about the attractions and areas on the island. The food will make you want to slap whoever cooked it because it's so delicious, at the restaurant and the bar area by the pool! I'll be back soon! 😆😂 Btw, It takes some time to get used to the Whistling Frogs of Bermuda at night!
I really enjoyed staying at this resort, and will definitely be coming back the next time I'm in Bermuda! The staff were all friendly and incredibly helpful. All the food and drink we had here was delicious, especially the dinner buffets and cocktails by the pool area. We had such a beautiful view of the water out our window, and the rooms were spacious and comfortable. The pool and beach area is nice, and the spa is absolutely beautiful. The cave was also a great and unique place to go swimming! Can't wait to come back here!!
NOT A 4 STAR RESORT. DO NOT STAY HERE. Coming here from the Fairmount was a shock! Grotto Bay is not worth the price at all. It’s a tourist trap. Room are very outdated. Food isn’t great. Other beaches are must better and less crowded. Not very friendly service. We booked the Grotto for all inclusive which they did not allow us to have. We also booked for the Cave Spa which they messed up our booking despite me emailing and confirming the date beforehand. Also, while checking in a cleaning lady was in a shouting match with a guest. This was a foreshadow to the general level of service and feeling welcome on a vacation. Served us rock hard dried out meatballs Majority of hotel staff is extremely rude. Read other reviews which mention the same. They do a better job being rude than if the went to a anti hospitality school The floor is just concrete with a hard plastic like floor. Not kid friendly at all and doesn’t feel comfortable walking around While they have a solid view and a decent beach the overall feeling of the room is not relaxing and feels old/not very clean
This was our third visit to Grotto Bay Resort over several years, and once again it exceeded our expectations. This time we stayed in a Family Suite, which was spacious, comfortable, and perfect for traveling with two children. The resort does an excellent job balancing a family-friendly atmosphere with the relaxed, island experience that makes Bermuda so special. The all-inclusive plan is one of the best values in Bermuda. It is affordable, convenient, and allows you to truly relax and enjoy your vacation. The food was consistently excellent (one night the Chefs cooked out catch from a local charter!), and the cocktails are always equally impressive. The complimentary bus passes are an added bonus to this and make it easy to explore the island without the expense of taxis. The location is ideal—not only is it just minutes from the airport, but it is also close to many of Bermuda’s must-see attractions, including Blue Hole Park, Crystal Caves, the Swizzle Inn, and the historic town of St. George’s. Whether you want to explore or simply relax, everything is within easy reach. The property itself is beautiful, with stunning waterfront views, crystal-clear blue water, and unique natural features (take a swim or a yoga class or a massage in the Caves!), all of which set it apart from other resorts. This is all in addition to the typical resort activities on-site, from swimming, snorkeling, paddle boarding, etc, to simply enjoying the peaceful surroundings. What truly keeps us coming back, however, is the staff. From housekeeping to restaurant servers to resort management, every team member was attentive, friendly, and genuinely interested in making our stay memorable. Their hospitality consistently makes us feel welcomed and valued. Grotto Bay continues to be the family favorite of places to stay in Bermuda. We highly recommend it to families, couples, and anyone looking for a convenient, relaxing, and exceptional island getaway.
