Mohammed was very knowledgeable about all the history and details of the Fes Medina. He took us to all the best places to shop and eat. His English is excellent and is a great personality.

This was an absolutely wonderful tour, especially for the price. Mohammed couldn’t have been a better guide. We only had a little over a day to spend in Fez/s and he helped us make the most of it. He picked us up at our riad and really customize the tour to fit what we wanted. I would say out of the cities we had gone to that Fez/s seemed to be best for shopping. Since we had a little time, we wanted to shop, but I also wanted to learn about the city. Mohammed was very knowledgeable and passionate about the history of the city and it was great to learn about all of that. Very interesting. He also tailored the experience to fit our needs as far as where we wanted to shop and what types of goods. He was also very useful to have an around because he would tell us if we were getting a good deal or not, and even negotiated on our behalf. He was such a nice, courteous, and respectful man, and we really enjoyed your day. I would definitely recommend this tour because it was a cool way to experience the city and get shopping done at the same time; especially if you have a short amount of time in the city. Five stars. I would even take this tour a second time if I were to ever go back to Fez/s even though I have already taken it because of the help he provided with negotiations.

Mohammed is a wonderful guide! He speaks multiple languages. He led us through the maze of alleys in the Medina giving us a far more comprehensive experience than we ever could have had on our own. He also took us to his trusted artisans who displayed their skills for us. We believe the vendors he took us to were honest and reputable with good prices. I had a great experience exploring the Medina with my guide. He was very knowledgeable, patient and explained the history, culture, architecture and daily life of Fez in a very clear and interesting way. I especially appreciated that the tour felt cultural and informative, not rushed, and I never felt pressured to buy anything. Mohammed was a great guide for the souks in the Medina. We couldn't have navigated the different places without him. The entire experience was about 5 hours which included visiting a tannery, a madrasa, mausoleums, different local shops just to name a few. We learned a lot of history, enjoyed some authentic cuisine, and met some great people. If you are looking to visit Fez, I would recommend Mohammed as a guide. Shukran!

We loved Mohammed! He arrived in a bright and colorful outfit, and his personality matched 😊 His English was excellent, and he shared so many interesting things with us as we walked through the medina and visited the important sites of Fes. Mohammed knows the medina like the back of his hand, and we felt completely at ease following him through its winding streets. He was very patient whenever we wanted to stop and shop, and he had great recommendations along the way. He even helped my husband get his watch fixed and recommended the perfect place to get a specific food my husband loves. It was exactly what he was looking for! We had a good experience exploring the cultural city of Fes with our guide. He was a nice, friendly, and approachable person, easy to understand, and clearly knows the Medina very well. It was also nice to see that he knows many people around the Medina, which made the experience feel more local and authentic. Overall, he was good and we enjoyed our time with him. One area that could be improved would be providing more detailed explanations at some of the stops. For example, it would have been better if he had also accompanied us up to the tannery and explained the entire process, as we noticed some other guides doing this. We also saw other guides providing more historical and cultural information at certain points. Inbetween we met one of his old friends who sang for us in Hindi, which was surprising. It was good . That said, he was a great person, helpful and pleasant throughout the tour, and overall we had a positive experience with him.

My husband and I had a great tour of the Fez medina courtesy of Mohammed. He has a wealth of historical knowledge and interesting tidbits about the medina that only a lifelong resident would have. He knew secret passages and alleys that only a local knows. He took us to some of his go to vendors for carpet (we just received our carpet in the US! so his carpet man is reliable and trustworthy), spices (great for prickly pear and argan oil), etc. It was amusing to see him walk around like the “mayor” of the Medina. All the locals knew him and had great respect for him. We highly recommend Mohammed as a Fez medina guide!

He was truly the best tour guide we could have asked for in Fes. Super knowledgeable, funny, and made the entire day feel effortless and fun. He took us to all of the main hotspots while also sharing so much history and context that made everything more meaningful. We booked Mohammed through our Riad, and we couldn’t have asked for a better tour guide for the city! He has been in Fes for over 50+ years and it shows through his intentional and engaging descriptions of the life/traditions of Fes. He started off our tour by giving us a history of the creation of the city and leading us to a variety of cultural spots - religious tombs, historic madrasas, museums, and more. He also took us to a number of different artist collectives where we were able to buy authentic, handmade souvenirs. He even helped us haggle, which we were super thankful for! For lunch, he brought us to a traditional local spot and we got a tasting menu of a variety of different Moroccan street food specialities. We truly felt like we were locals! All throughout the tour, Mohammed greeted, and was greeted, by so many different shop owners, locals, and passerbys. This showed how beloved he is in the community and really made us feel like we were in good hands! Towards the end of our tour, Mohammed remembered that we had mentioned seeing the “blue gate” so he made sure the taxi driver drove us there to see it before returning to our riad. All in all, Mohammed was professional, easy to understand when speaking English, informative, and very funny. We would recommend him to anyone who asks!!

Our almost all-day tour with Mohamed was wonderful! From start to finish, he taught us about Fes and Morocco, and the culture in customs of this amazing country. He seemed to know everyone in the Medina and greeted everyone with cheer and a smile. He was very caring and considerate of keeping a pace that was comfortable for the four of us. Mohammed was a very professional guide on our day in Fes. Medina is not an easy place the first time, so it's critical to have a knowledgeable guide to navigate the maze in a safe and quiet way. Mohammed showed us places that we would have missed entirely. I would recommend his services every time. Glad the hotel sent us Mohammed as our guide.

As part of the 9 day Morocco Tour starting from Casablanca, we had one full day for Faiz. In the morning our assigned local guide Mohammed and driver were at the RIad before the scheduled departure time for the tour. He took us to the elevated UN Heritage site near cemetery for a bird’s eye view of Faiz city then on to Mosaic tiling and ceramic works place showing how various crafts get done from start to finish. Visited the Palace gates and passed through the Jewish quarters. Later we went on a walking tour of the inner city the Medina through narrow alleyways that included the traditional leather preparation without modern chemicals, old madrassa, tomb of Moulay Idris II, Carpets and Argan oil stores etc. before ending tour and returning to Riad. Mohammed is fluent in English, incredibly knowledgeable and passionate like a friend showing us the favorite and important parts of the inner city revealing the traditional cultures and ancient history. Out of many guides assigned to us on this tour Mohammed was fantastic and “head above heals”. What fascinated us was that throughout the walking tour he was exchanging pleasantries with almost every second person and shopkeepers in the crowded Medina and seemed to know everyone and when asked he explained he is local born with now 45 years as tour guide in Faiz. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

With just a single day to tour Fez, our local guide, Mohammed, focused on the Medina, old city. Before beginning, he took us to an elevated site by the cemetery, so we could get a bird's eyes' view. After, we explored the many Moroccan crafts: mosaic tiling, ceramics, metalworking, weaving, wood carving, the renouned tannery, and the use of the argan tree's nuts to produce various oils.His English was audible, understandable, and peppered with a wonderful sense of humor. He shared his knowledge of his home city's ancient history, proudly sharing interesting facts, along with explanations that made the tour more meaningful & memorable. He seems to know many of the medina's residents & shopkeepers and the restaurant he suggested provided tasty dishes and generous portions.

Our family of 5 had a great tour with Mohammed today in Fes. He was engaging, patient and knowledgeable. He explained the history of the city and took us to see different artisans. He also guided us with the haggling (which we were terrible at!). I feel that we have a far better understanding of Fes and have purchased much better souveniers than we would have without him. He also took us to a great little lunch place that was both super delicious and super cheap.

We did two tours in Fez first day with another local guide and second day with Mohammed. Hands down recommend him for history of city and knowledge of sites in and out of old city. The other guide would point us to read signs while Mohammed would know the answer and go into historical facts about sites. Highly recommend!!

As first time visitors to Fez, we could not have found a better guide to show us the city and surrounding area. Muhammad grew up in the Medina and we felt comfortable and trusted his suggestions as he navigated the route through the thousands of narrow passageways. We visited cooperatives which was important to us because we share their philosophy and would have been difficult to find on our own. He explained Moroccan history and was an ambassador for the heart and mind of the Moroccan culture. His survival tips were invaluable to us and helped us feel safe. In our three day visit, we also were driven by Moustapha to Roman ruins, Middle Atlas Mountains, Meknes and Berber caves. In summary, these gentlemen were trustworthy, caring and authentic guides. An excellent introduction to the city of Fees, it's history, and culture from an expert guide. Mohamed is wonderful, knowledgeable, and obviously well like around town.

I doubt you could find a better guide for Fes than Mohamed. As he will tell you, he was made in this city. He seems to know everyone and greets them with a smile as he leads you through the streets and alleyways of the Medina. He has many stories to tell and good tips if you want to buy something special. I recommend you hire him. It you do, ask him to make a Moroccan hamburger for you.

My mom and I had an incredible visit to the Medina with Mohammed yesterday. We were able to see so many places that we would not have been able to navigate on our own! Our new friend seemed to know the entire city which made us feel like we were in great hands with our limited amount of time to spend in Fes. Of all the places we visited on our recent vacation in Morocco, Fes was my favorite! I think it was largely because we started our stay in Fes with an all day private tour of Fes with Mohamed! He was so knowledgeable, funny and streamlined the tour to our preferences. He gave us so much information, and balanced it out with giving us time to self-explore the various sights.
