Itinerary
Day 1
1
Our journey will begin in the Medina of Fes, where our staff will pick you up from your hotel or a designated meeting spot.
We will begin our journey from Fes by going via Ifrane, a French-built ski resort in the 1930s designed to imitate a Swiss town.
We explore Azrou, cedar forest where you may feed local monkeys.
You will stop for lunch at Midelt, a town known for its fossils and rocks. After lunch in Midelt, we continue our journey and cross the Tizi N' Talghoun pass while taking in the breathtaking scenery. In Erfoud, there is a breathtaking view of the river Ziz valley dotted with hundreds of date palms.
After arriving at Merzouga, you will have a one-hour camel ride as the sun sets behind the dunes to reach the desert camp. You will experience feeding camels in Sahara. As a part of the tour you will feed up local camel.
Day 2
2
A must-do is waking up early to watch the most amazing sunrise you've ever seen at the top of a high dune near the camp, then riding camels back to Merzouga, where a delicious breakfast awaits.
We depart the desert after breakfast for Rissani, where we will visit the market place (market days: tuesday, thursday, and saturday). From there, we proceed to Erfoud, where we will see the fossilized marble factories, before making our way to the palm groves of Touroug and Tinjdad.
The Todra Gorges, one of the nicest spots in the High Atlas, will be reached one hour later. The river's path has carved out a cliff-sided canyon, which is famous among climbers due to its beauty and steep rock walls. Lunch is on your own time at this lovely location. It is highly recommended to take a brief stroll through the gorges in order to better enjoy the landscape's magnificence.
As we pass through Boumalne Dades on our way to the Dades valley, also known as the figs valley, we will stop at the "monkey legs" Evening meal and lodging in the Dades gorges.
Day 3
3
After breakfast, we may savor one of the best views of the Dades valley from a strategic vantage point in the mountains. From this vantage point, we can admire the vast number of kasbahs and the unique aesthetic qualities of each. The journey continues along a route dotted with kasbahs of touristic importance. Following a few pauses to appreciate the "One Thousand Kasbahs Road" The Roses Valley and the vast Skoura palm grove will bring us to Ouarzazate.
We explore Ouarzazate, where we will visit the Kasbah of Taourirt, the former home of the Glaoui or Marrakech pasha. If you are interested, we may also visit the film studios and museum.
We will stop at the ksar (fortified settlement) in Ait Ben Haddou, where we will explore the well-known Kasbah (declared World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1986). This fantastic stage has been used to film a number of films, including Gladiator, Obelix, The Mummy, The Jewel of the Nile, Sahara starring Penélope Cruz, etc.
In the afternoon, we begin our journey to Marrakech through the mountain port of Tizi Ntichka, with photo stops along the route. Here, we depart the moonscape to arrive at a new, colorful scene. We will arrive in Marrakech at 6 p.m., transfer to the hotel, and conclude our services there.

If you travel to Morocco, you must do the Sahara desert tour, it was so different with other places, nice to see and many things to experience there. However, you will be unlucky one if you book the tour with this agency, they organized this tour was very bad, not professional and like a mess. They tell us about the time and location at 11 pm one the day right before we do the tour ( but I needed to keep chasing them asking them about the time otherwise they may tell us late and we cannot sleep early to prepare for the trip but waiting for them instead ). On the first day, they just put us in the vans and sit with other people from different tours, and no tourguide, just the driver speak english, then in the afternoon, the driver dropped us at the place where to do the camel ride but he didnt say anything or explain how it work, when we asked the driver, he said he didnt know, the agency said he just need to drop us here. We was very upset and worry because it was so crowded and people started leaving, so we had to walk around and ask the information what we need to do although this was supposed the tour guide job, and when we got to the camp, no body tell us what tent number we would stay or what activities we would do, the people working there keep asking what is our tourguide or our travel agency so they can help us sorted out. At that moment we was so anxiety because we saw people keep moving to their tent and pack their stuffs and going to have dinner, but we had to wait until we find out our tent, oh yeah we made it at the end by ourselves, no tourguide here. The second day, we were put to sit with the group doing the same tour with us and had the tourguide, but because we didnt join the tour with the group at the beginning, so he not allow us to sit in the front but the back as there were people sitting there the day before , yeah you can imaging how your back feel when you sit at the back for the whole day. If you want to enjoy the desert tour fully, then dont do it with this agency.
I hope this review gives people a chance to make an educated choice when they book their tour. Pros: it is significantly cheaper to do this type of tour than to do it on your own by renting a car from Fes to Marrakech. And you don’t have to find your way, navigate the traffic stops, or deal with lodging. It was easy. Also it’s fun to be in a group and meet other travelers. The desert was stunning, the desert camp was very nice, as well as the lodging in Ouzazarte. Food was ample. Our driver was good and safe. Cons: This tour was one of many that all were the same. It felt like I was on an assembly line. It didn’t feel very authentic - we didn’t get very immersed in the culture at all. You are in the car a lot, which is to be expected. But we didn’t have any kind of tour “guide”, like one that explains the different stops/history/culture to you - We had a driver that spoke minimal English. We would have a stop for like 30 minutes in a place, but there was no “guiding”. We are at the same restaurants as all the other tours driving to the desert that day. We did not do any hiking in the Dades Valley as was described in the itinerary, we just pulled over to take a picture. You stop at some cooperatives to learn how artisans make their goods, but it felt a bit like an infomercial. Also, I had previously seen all of this in Fes so it was a bit duplicative for me. This tour was fine for me because it met my goals of getting to the desert, staying in a camp, and seeing Ait Ben Haddou (for 1 hour, no tour included). I would not personally do this again, because it’s not really my style. But the ease of the trip and provided transportation was really nice. It was professional. I hope this review helps others decide what is best for their travel desires.
It’s a very beautiful bivouac, they treat us very well, the food is good, the Rooms are beautiful, the staff is good, I love it.
The part of my trip to Morocco that I was most excited about was this tour. I researched a lot and waited with great anticipation. First of all, the agency was incredibly attentive. They answered all of my questions, and I want to thank them for that. Beyond that, our driver and guide, MOMO, was everything to us. He took great care of us every time, did whatever we asked, and he’s genuinely an amazing person. We were so lucky to have him as our guide. He’s a highly professional driver who got us safely through many difficult roads to each destination. Momo was truly the main character who made this trip unforgettable. Thank you so much for everything, Momo! ❤️
Had a great time on this tour with our guide Tarek. He created a great environment for us to have a really fun time with the others on our tour and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great trip. Consider yourself lucky if you get him as a guide! The desert was beautiful and there were plenty of stops between the major stops which broke the trip up perfectly.
There was a mix up at the start but the locals and guides put in 100% effort to get us back to the bus. Was a long journey to the desert and back but was really memorable, we loved the camels and sandboarding.
I enjoyed this trip so much it was one of the highlights experience in Morocco. it can be long tiring day but seen so many good things along the road.
We completely LOVED this experience!!! Great views on the drive with Abdul, then we arrived at this AMAZING dessert camp after a camel ride and watching the sunset in the dessert, and goes on and on... recommended 100%, and our cheers for our tour organizer Hassan, very kind and great communication!
Amazing camp experience with Hassan! We came really late to Merzouga and he accommodated us in a luxury camp at a normal price (others tried to take advantage before) Our first guide Hussein was amazing he gave us a camel ride with a local flavor to it, sharing the experience of the Berber people in Sahara. At night there was music good food and the star gazing experience is unique at the Sahara. In the morning after watching the sunset we had a nice breakfast and after that a tour in quads through the dunes. 100% recommended
Amazing trip! Everything was organized above my expectations! Trip with camels fantastic! Very friendly guides who made us photos. Camp very beautiful, comfortable, very good food, entertainment with drums! Great!
I honestly loved it!!! There was a lot of attractions to enjoy! Riding camels for 2 hours, sand boarding, beautifull views, sunsets and sunrises. Reaaaally good food, nice beds and showers, and amazing live music by the camp fire. Recommend the experience!
My son and I had amazing experience. My son was 5 years old. But no problem. Staff was so kind and friendly. They tried to find good restaurants for us.
Amazing experience in the Sahara. It's worth to stay more than one nights to enjoy the desert and take thw time to relax. The camp is very comfortable and we felt like home. Very kind people. The camel ride and the quads were the best.
That's the perfect way to go to the desert. It was an amazing experience with kind and organised people. We recommend this company for the kindness of Hussain and all the amazing experiences that that they allow you to do. Note of mention for our driver Mohammed, one of the most beautiful person I ever meet abroad.
We had a mixed experience with the operator. Starting with the negatives- First we did not get any confirmation on pick up location until very late at night the day before the tour. The morning of the tour, our pick up was 35 mins late. We were then transferred to the vehicle of another operator (we got lucky that the other operator was excellent, and our transfer to the desert camp was smooth). At the camp, our luggage arrived late. The dinner served was very underwhelming- i had an upset stomach for the whole of the next day. The tent was very noisy, with a gap in the canvas on its ceiling which kept rattling all night. The next morning once again we had to wait close to an hour to get picked up for our day 2 tour. Thankfully back to the same excellent operator we got, so the rest of the tour was smooth and well organised. However, as we travelled with the substitute operator, their itinerary was different from the one provided to us by Merzouga Experience. About the positives : as i mentioned, we got lucky with the substitute operator we got handed over to. So overall we had a positive experience with the 3 days of travel and the lodging day 2 onwards. The camel ride and the desert was surreal! Would recommend it for anyone who wants to see the Sahara.
The desert was so beautiful nothing bad about that. But the tour was very poorly organized from beginning to end. Didn’t get information on pickup until night of the day before and tried contacting the operating many times beforehand without any response. Very long 10hrs drives each day which can be exhausting and you’re in and out of the desert in less than 12hrs, in at sunset and out by sunrise, very rushed. The hotel they placed me in also didn’t have hot water and all the stops for lunch/breaks were very expensive. The views were great though, but the tour can do better.
Amazing experience, we spent 3 days and two nights from fez to Marrakech, our driver was helpful and friendly he gave us a lot of informations about Moroccans culture and we learn from him a lot, the tents and hotels are very clean , good services , we advise anyone want to visit Morocco to book with this agency and choose Hassan as a driver
We bad a great trip from fes to marrakech our driver abdoul was amazing gives all the informations we want to know and he answer for our quetions. 100% recomended
My experience with the travel agency for the 3-day tour from Marrakech to Fes via Sahara was outstanding. The itinerary was well-planned, the accommodations were comfortable, and the guide provided insightful commentary throughout the journey. Highlights included breathtaking scenery, authentic cultural experiences, and personalized service. Highly recommend for anyone looking to explore Morocco's beauty and history in a short timeframe
Rashid was a very good driver as well as a very helpful and knowledgeable guide. The Sahara night was very good. We chose a luxury tent which was the right choice for a cold night. I would have liked at least a few minutes with less light around the camp to enjoy the stars before the cold set in. Perhaps a 5- minute break in the lights around the fire would be appreciated. Other than this minor annoyance, it was a great tour and spectacular journey through the mountains.
The perfect way to experience the desert and its magical atmosphere! The tour will guide you through the streets of Marocco up to the desert where you can spend an enchanted night in a beautiful tent under the stars. Special mention for the guide and driver Mohammed: a professional driver with a perfect English, a flexible, kind and exquisite companion. It wouldn’t have been the same without him. Super recommended!
The tent/room in Sahara desert is a big surprise. It is really nice and clean and equipped with hot water for shower. It is much more colder at night as expected. But we had a great time. Our driver/guide Aimad, is very friendly and explains the background of every stop we make along the way. He is also very considerate. A few of us were sick in the group and he was considerate enough to get us all to the hotel earlier so we can get enough rest. On top of that, after knowing that we were not able to book the train to Casablanca, he offered to help and drop us off as well, making our trips a lot more easier. Overall I would say this is a must have experience if you visit Morocco.
Best part of my stay in Morocco. Our driver Abdel was the best. He knew everything and he was driving very well. The whole trip was interesting and gave a deep look into the culture of Morocco. The camel trip through the desert was a lot of fun and the desert camp was nice. My favourite part was to see so many different things in 3 days. I would recommend it!
We had a nice time traveling to the camp on camels and exploring the dunes, along with a beautiful sunrise. The tents are nice and clean with both private shower and toilet.
Great desert stay, super equipped tents and facilities, nice people. They also offer day activities like sand boarding and quad driving. The tent includes electricity, good showers and toilet. Very clean.
It was amazing trip! Omar was a fantastic guide who went the extra mile giving us a gift from the desert, buying us dates to sample going out of his was to help us. The accommodation was great (we went for standard) and my favourite parts were the desert and et Ben haddou. I was really unsure about what trip to book and looked through so many but I must say you cant go wrong with this one.
We had the most amazing trip ever. Hassan was the most welcome host and helped us with everything we needed! The trip is the best thing to do and gives you a truly wonderful experience. The reception, trip to the camp, food and music is all perfectly arranged. Would 100% recommend!
I don’t usually write reviews but I can’t recommend this tour enough. We were received so welcoming with tea. Then we rode the camels to the gorgeous camp. The animals looked very well taken care off. We saw a gorgeous sunset, and did sandboarding. The experience felt so unreal, the views were that incredible. The tent was very large and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was very clean and there was plenty of hot water with delicious smelling soap. The diner was good with enough of vegetarian options. Then the guides played traditional drums which was really cool, and we got to try as well. The next day we say a breathtaking sunrise, so I really recommend to get up early for this! It is more beautiful than the sun set in my opinion. We had breakfast and rode the camels back. Overall 10/10 for sure, we were on a budget trip and splurged on this tour, but it was worth every penny! Furthermore Hassan is extremely kind and helpful. We got into a car accident just before we arrived and he helped translate and fix the car good enough so we could continue our trip. Thank you so so much!!
It was exactly what I expected and more especially the camp it was so nice and the food there os tasty and to much for me, I really recommend this service.

We had the most wonderful afternoon and night in the desert. Everything was perfectly taken care of! It was very romantic and calm. There was music and a firecamp and we danced.
The tour was great and the guide was very friendly. It was my first time riding a motorcycle, but he was patient enough to teach me how to operate it. And then he took pictures of me
Hassan and Ibrahim are the best guides. The tour is amazing. They speak many languages and make sure you understand everything. The accommodations and food were nice. The camel ride in the Sahara was truly a memorable experience. I'd really recommend it, especially if Fes and Marrakesh are both in your list of places to visit!
The camp is super luxury. All the staffs are super friendly and helpful. The music, the food, the view, the camel riding are all awesome! Highly recommend staying at this camp for the best desert experience!
Nice camel ride and friendly workers! Had an amazing experience watching stars and shows at night. Good staying!
It was a very beautiful experience. Amazing sunset, very cool camelride. We woke up very early for the sunrise but it was easily worth it. Very recomended trip!
The tour started with a hotel pick up and made our way to the desert for sunset. Its was breath taking. Also did maybe stop along the way to sightsee. Accomodation were excellent and the food was great. They also organise a driver for me in Marrakesh last minute and were in constant communication with me which I appreciate since am a solo female traveller. Highly recommend, Hassan is the best !!
During this 3 days tour, we have a excellent, safe driver Youssef, drove a private clean and modern vehicle. On the way to the Sahara Desert, I got a terrible stomach ache he stop for us at pharmacy for buying medicine. Then we ride on a camel through the desert to the camp. the facility of the camp is wonderful, we stayed in private room and had private toilet. Well cooked dinner and traditional African drum performance after dinner. Next 2 day morning, Youssef drove through mountains and sand rock. We can see the a lot of places of real and the natural south east Morocco. We have a fantastic and wonderful time with Marakkesh Experience.
We spent three fantastic days in the desert with our guide and driver Yassine. He was professional, friendly, punctual, and always attentive to our comfort and safety. Thanks to him, we were able to discover beautiful landscapes and have an authentic and memorable experience. Everything was well organized from start to finish, and Yassine always took the time to answer our questions and share his knowledge about the region. We felt in good hands throughout the trip. We highly recommend this excursion to anyone who wants to discover the desert. Thank you, Yassine, for these three unforgettable days!
Beautiful tent bivouac, private bathroom, comfortable beds, good and plentiful food, staff who also speak Italian, very helpful. Beautiful music at the fire in the evening. Nice hike with camels. Council
