We highly recommend booking this tour with Rachid to see Fes. After an evening of wandering and getting lost in the old Medina, my boyfriend and I booked this tour recommended by our riad. Rachid met us at our riad and took us everywhere, from major historical sites to small fruit and juice vendors to unassuming dark alleys that led to high quality artisan cooperatives and everything in between. Rachid was born and raised in the Medina and is highly educated and knows Fes like the back of his hand. He took us to places we would have never seen or known to stop by on our own. I had briefly mentioned spices, so he took us to the place he shops for spices, which was a 5th generation shop. It was so special to learn from him. He is clearly beloved in this community because so many people stopped to say hello during our tour. Rachid is kind, charming, and wise. He gave us so much information, yet it was like strolling through town with a friend. We feel so lucky to have met him and to have this experience.

Rachid, a historian and a lovely guy gave me and my boyfriend a lovely tour of Fez and all of its industries. We had a great time for the value, only 500 dirahms. He stopped for lots of photos, helped us negotiate prices with vendors, and was lovely company. I cannot recommend him enough. Truly unforgettable experience. I would absolutely return.

Rachid is a brilliant tour guide. He is an absolute hidden gem in the tourism industry in Fez. Our holiday would not have been the same without his insight, encouraging our curiosity and being patient with us, as it was our first time in the city. We had an absolutely unforgettable day in Fez with Rachid. Being born and raised in the city, he knows Fez inside out and shared its rich history, architecture, culture, and traditions with incredible passion and knowledge. Beyond his extensive knowledge, he is an exceptionally kind, patient, and warm-hearted person. We were traveling with our children, including a three-year-old, and he was wonderful with them. He treated them with genuine care and affection, included them throughout the day, and made sure they enjoyed the experience as much as we did. We learned so much, laughed a lot, and enjoyed every moment of the tour. Both our children and we absolutely loved spending time with him. We are incredibly grateful that we found him and would recommend him wholeheartedly to anyone visiting Fez. Rachid our guide, made the walking tour of the Fes Medina very interesting. We walked through the various sections of the market visiting different handicraft experts. He made the tour very interesting by incorporating history throughout the visit. I totally recommend him.

Exploring the Medina of Fes can feel overwhelming at first it is a labyrinth of history, culture, and thousands of narrow streets, but having such a knowledgeable and passionate guide made the experience absolutely unforgettable. Our guide brought the city to life. Instead of just walking us through the famous spots, he explained the deeper history and hidden stories behind everything we saw. We visited incredible places that most tourists would never find on their own, including historic schools, artisan workshops, hidden rooftops with breathtaking views, and fascinating corners of the Medina that reveal how the city has functioned for centuries. What impressed me most was his ability to explain the cultural, architectural, and historical significance of Fes in a way that was engaging and easy to understand. You could really feel his pride in the city and his desire to share its heritage. He was also incredibly kind, patient, and attentive — always making sure we were comfortable and tailoring the visit to our interests. Navigating the Medina with him felt effortless. If you are visiting Fes, I strongly recommend taking a guided tour of the Medina, and if you can do it with this guide, even better. Rachid met us at the train station and accompanied us (by car) to our Riad. This was a huge benefit because our Riad was inside the Medina and we would never have found it on our own! The next day he led us on a tour of the Medina, giving us a comprehensive history of the main features - the university, historic mosques, the tannery and more. Rachid is very knowledgeable, personable, conversant in English, French, Arabic and maybe more. Highly recommend !

Rashid was an amazing guide to the Fes Medina and really helped us make sure to see all the sights and shops. He helps us find Moroccan slippers for our friends and family as well as bribing us to a delicious restaurant for lunch. We booked a tour through our riad, and that’s how we met Rashid! He grew up in the medina of Fes and was able to swiftly navigate the winding streets. We were introduced to libraries, universities, learned the difference between a riad and dar, and were taken to various shops where we learned about the crafts/artisans of Fes.

We had a deeply disappointing experience with Rachid, a tour guide we found through his website, which we accessed via TripAdvisor. I reached out to him on WhatsApp on July 27th to arrange a half-day tour of the old medina of Fes for the following morning, July 28th at 10:30 AM. We agreed to meet in the Al Batha area, and everything seemed confirmed. On the day of the tour, my wife, our young son, and I arrived at the meeting point five minutes early, full of excitement for what we hoped would be a meaningful and informative introduction to Fes. Unfortunately, Rachid never showed up. At 10:31 AM, I made the first call—no answer. I tried again at 10:35 AM—still nothing. I sent a message on WhatsApp at 10:37 AM asking if the tour was still happening. No response. We waited until 10:45 AM under the heat before finally accepting that we had been let down. Not only did this ruin our day, but it also disrupted our entire itinerary. We were only in Fes for one day and had planned this guided tour as the centerpiece of our visit. Left with no other option, we attempted to explore the medina on our own. While Fes is undoubtedly beautiful, the experience was chaotic and lacked the structure and insights we were hoping for from a professional guide. I’ve attached screenshots of our communication for transparency. I understand that unexpected issues can arise, but a complete lack of communication—no notice, no explanation, and no apology—is unacceptable. I wouldn’t recommend this tour guide to anyone looking for a reliable and professional experience in Fes.

Rachid is a great tour guide and showed us all around the Medina of Fes. More than that, when I got sick from ingesting washed fruits, he was extremely helpful in finding meds, food, and a doctor. Above & beyond!!

He knows every alley way like the back of his hand. My sister and I received a tour from him and at the end we were in love with Fez. He shows you the heart of Morrocco! This was a wonderful tour by a highly educated guide who grew up here. Rashid has a lovely manner, very warm and welcoming, very respectful and kind. He is educated not only in where things are, but the history and beauty of the place. If you want to spend the day dropping deeply into the old world of a beautiful city, he's the one.

This was the highlight of our Morocco trip! Fes is a must-visit and especially with Rachid. We were very fortunate to have a private tour with Rachid (which I highly recommend vs a large group navigating the crowded tiny streets). He gave us a true authentic experience in the Medina all while including the historical significance behind certain sites. As we walked through the streets we were greeted by several of his friends and talented local artisans, and really felt at home. The Medina is a beautiful maze of chaos, and Rachid made it feel much less overwhelming - something a traveler will very much appreciate. Truly a lovely time, will definitely be reaching back out to Rachid the next time I am in Morocco!

To us all street looked like and were a bit crowded but when you leave your comfort zone and explore you see and experience things you hadn’t before Be sure to bargain all the shops.
