Fes: Museum, Al Attarine Madrasa & Tannery And Medina Tour

We enjoyed two excellent guided experiences in Morocco. In Marrakech, Lhoussin was a great guide—knowledgeable, patient, and very friendly. He made the history and culture of the Medina come alive and gave us plenty of interesting local information. We also had a guided tour in Fes with Abould, who was equally professional and knowledgeable. Both guides made us feel welcome and gave us a much deeper understanding of Moroccan history, traditions, and everyday life. We would definitely recommend these tours to anyone visiting Marrakech and Fes.

Our guide Abdul was very informative and we enjoyed learning about Fes. I do wish he would have shared his advice about how to negotiate price - BEFORE he took us shopping! When our guide rejoined us after the tannery and leather goods tour, he found out how much we had paid and then went in to a long explanation about how the merchants will double the initial asking price for tourists. We trusted that our guide took us to a reputable vendor, and also trusted when this vendor stated "this is a very good deal." Once we realized that we had been set up and grossly overcharged, our group lost enthusiasm and we didn't complete the rest of the tour.

Fatah was an exceptional guide for our visit to Fes. The Medina can be quite confusing, but he knew exactly where to take us and helped us discover some incredible historic places. His explanations were clear and interesting, especially when talking about Moroccan traditions, architecture, and local crafts. He was friendly, professional, and very attentive throughout the tour.

Exploring the medina of Fes with Abdoultif was unforgettable. The city can be overwhelming, but he guided us through its narrow streets with confidence while explaining its rich history and traditions. We visited beautiful madrasas, artisan workshops, and local markets, and every stop was full of fascinating stories. We couldn't have asked for a better guide.

Our guide ABDOUL was amazing! She answered every question with patience and made the history of Fes come alive. The tour was perfectly paced, and we never felt rushed. A must-do for first-time visitors.

If you want to know Fes, BOOK THIS TOUR! I would advise to do it early so that you get a feel of what stores you want to see and what areas you want to go, I recommend booking with Abdul F. . He was fantastic, he had an excellent grasp of the history as well as great relationship with local artisans. He even helped negotiate prices for us. He took us through historical buildings and was able to describe the architecture beautifully. Thank you Abdul for showing us the university of life!!

My visit to Fes was truly one of the best experiences of my trip to Morocco, and a big part of that was thanks to our guide Abdou. He was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about the history and culture of the city. Walking through the narrow streets of the Fes el-Bali felt like stepping back in time, and Abdou explained so many fascinating stories about the traditions and daily life there. One thing we really appreciated was how Abdou helped us when shopping in the old souks. Bargaining can be difficult if you’re not familiar with it, but he guided us and helped negotiate fair prices when we wanted to buy some souvenirs and handmade crafts. It made the whole experience much more comfortable and fun. A special thank you to VOYAGISTE Maroc and their co-founder Elhoussien, who organized my entire tour across Morocco, from Marrakech to the Sahara Desert and even the north of the country.
