Fes To Volubilis, Moulay Idriss And Meknes Private Day Trip

Volubilis was amazing and our driver was very accommodating and pleasant. The drive itself was very scenic.

Seeing Volubilis was incredible! It was definitely worth visiting and exploring the site with its beautiful mosaic floors. We had a great lunch in Meknes after which we visited the mausoleum. Gorgeous building with beautiful mosaics! A lovely visit to a local winery finished off the day. We all enjoyed the full day adventure!

Good pickup: on time, nice vehicle & a good driver, Mustafa. We headed out of Fes into the countryside where he gave us plenty of good commentary along the way: also plenty of stops to view scenery. Really well done: given that English was not one of his main languages we thought he did very well. He escorted us to the Roman ruins site entrance, we paid our 100 dirham cash & headed out to explore for the next 2 hours. A must do visit in Morocco! WOW! We then jumped back in our vehicle to see some more interesting sites around the general area: stunning! Then we headed to Meknes : if you haven’t seen a Médina & its fortress walls, etc, make sure you experience that however for us after 3 weeks we had seen plenty: so we asked Mustafa to drive us around but we didn’t want to do those touristy things again. He obliged & he took us to a couple of other sites in town where he explained their history. We then headed back to Fes through the heart of the sprawling, noisy & congested Meknes. We arrived at our Riad at around the time expected. So in summary what do we think? Certainly go out to the Roman ruins: for what you get it is super value for money at 100 Dirham as compared to other overpriced tourist Mecca’s. Discounting the time spent in Meknes, we would recommend this day out of Fes to our fellow travellers: Mustafa did his very best to accommodate us. Our rating is a 4-Star. Good ruins. I didn't use a guide. The signs around the ruin are in French, Arabic, Spanish, and English so everything is easy to understand.

Our driver was pleasant and spoke reasonable English. The car was very comfortable. Good at dropping us off and picking up at designated places. Provided some interesting background on life in Morocco/Fez. Our guide at Volubilis was poor. Please be prepared to choose a knowledgeable guide at the site who speaks your language fluently.

This is a must do trip out of Fez. The ruins are incredible and the site is really well laid out with information. The other cities give you a greater understanding of the religion and culture. Our driver was first class with his knowledge, English and driving ability. I highly recommend this tour

Everything about the day exceeded our expectations. To start with we received a message from our driver/guide the night before informing us that it was a religious holiday and many of the sites we were going to got visit would be closed. (We do wish that Travelocity would have informed us of this!) We asked about options and decided to switch our trip to focus on the Cedar Forest and Atlas Mountains. We also pushed out the start time. Our driver Sufyan was amazing from the start. Incredibly flexible. Personable. Such a wealth of knowledge about the sites we visited and the history of Morocco. We had a wonderful day, even though the villages we visited were much quieter due to the holiday. Sufyan wa able to think on his feet and create a custom itinerary to make up for the effect of the holiday. Having a private experience was totally worth the extra cost! We would highly recommend any tour with Sufyan!

Mohammed was a terrific driver and guide! He kept us comfortable with drinks and stops along the journey and was a wealth of information about everything we passed. He knew just how to take incredible photos to preserve our memories forever. I highly recommend this tour or any other tour with Mohamed as your guide!

Perfectly located atop scenic hill. Surrounded by lush farmland and hills. Uniformed employees very helpful with information and picture taking. Please tip them. This city is worth visiting.

Title: Wonderful day trip from Fez We had a lovely day on this trip and would definitely recommend it. Our driver picked us up directly from our riad, which made everything very easy and stress-free. His English was limited, but he was still able to communicate well enough and gave us a lovely tour of the area. The car was beautiful and very comfortable, and we really enjoyed the scenic drive through the countryside. It was such a nice escape from the busy Fez Medina and a great way to experience a different side of Morocco. A wonderful day overall!

We were able to fully customized this trip throughout the day. It was our preference to go directly from Fes to Volubilus early in the day to avoid the tour buses and the heat. Our driver, Mohammad was very informative throughout the day and chose a wonderful place for lunch.

Our trip was more amazing than we could have ever hoped for! Our guide was very professional, spoke great English, and had plenty of amazing recommendations. The car was very nice and fully air conditioned. Our stops were local and authentic. I would not book with anyone else!

Fantastic tour with our guide Hamza. Don’t miss his favorite local spot to eat. Amazing Roman history dating back to third century BC. Some of the beautiful mosaics are still intact.

We were so glad we did, having flexibility to decide where we wanted to go, how long to spend in each place makes such a difference. Hamza was great in understanding our interests, recommending restaurant for lunch, taking us to see artisans at work and learning all about Berber rugs.. none these places were actually in the description of the itinerary but after visiting Volublis he adjusted our time in Menkes to our interests. When we told him we liked wine he even gifted us with a bottle. While he is unable to act as an official guide in historical sites or cities due to local regulations his knowledge really helped us appreciate the area. Thanks so much!

Mohamed was our private guide and driver and provided us with an amazing experience which was truly the highlight of our stay in Fes. After a seamless pick up, we made our way to our first destination. The ride was a “luxury” experience and extremely roomy. We stopped several times for panoramic photos. Mohamed is also an amazing photographer & captured amazing pictures of us. He was educational and offered history lessons at every stop. 100% recommend!

Mohammed was an excellent driver and guide for our day trip from Fes to Volubilis, Modular Idriss and Meknes. His English was very good and he was able to share plenty of what we were seeing on the drive as well as the places visited. He accommodated a longer stay for us in Volubilis since the one hour recommended was much too short for us. It was an incredible sight to see.

The agency was flexible amd allowed us to rearrange pick up time. Our driver, Mohamed, spoke excellent English and he was very keen to show everything, pointing our points of interest along the way. We has a rally good tour.

Hamza was our driver and he was great! He was a very safe driver and the car was clean and roomy. His English was fantastic so it made our day trip with him that much better. He showed us all the great sites and threw in some impromptu adjustments due to having bad weather on our tour day. I would highly recommend!

This is not a guided tour. We had a driver who spoke broken English. He could provide no information of the sites which was disappointing. This was particularly hard in Volubilis when there are many Roman ruins and knowing where to go is essential. Some areas were well preserved and others were long walks where there wasn't much to see. As a driver I found him reckless. He almost drove off the road over a steep embankment to avoid a cat. If I could give zero stars I would. This was an utter disappointment and frankly dangerous

We had a wonderful day with Mohammed. He was reliable, knowledgeable and friendly. He was completely flexible about all the timing of our visits and ensured we saw all the important sites.

We went on this last minute trip from Fes since we had already covered much of Fes. We drove with driver Mohammed "couscous". He speaks over 13 languages so it was no surprise that he slipped into our language with ease and helped make this trip so much fun. He even arranged a local guide for us in Meknes - Mr. Omar - an 85 year old who knows Meknes and its medina. I felt that Moulay Idris can be skipped. Meknes large square is straight out of Prince of Persia sets.

Hamza is an excellent driver. Every visitor to Morocco should see Volubilis and I highly recommend this provider. We were able to set the pace for the day and Hamza, who speaks excellent English, shared a lot of interesting information with us which enhanced our experience. We were very happy with Bekben Travel. We were picked up on time in a very nice vehicle. Our driver Mohamed took care of all our needs from water bottles to wet wipes and coins for the toilet. He even treated us to pomegranates and juice! He happily took our photos and provided so much information about Morocco and the places we visited. We did the Private Day Trip to Volubilis, Moulay Idriss, and Meknes from Fez, and it was an amazing time! Our driver, Abdel, picked us up right on time at the agreed meeting point in a clean, comfortable, and air-conditioned car. He was super friendly, easy to talk to, and very knowledgeable. Along the drive, he pointed out interesting places and shared information about the region, which really added to the experience.It was a hot day, and Abdel even stopped to buy us bottles of water without us asking which was such a thoughtful gesture that we really appreciated. He told us the day was completely flexible and that we could take as long as we wanted at each stop. At Volubilis, we ended up staying about three or four hours because it was absolutely incredible. We loved the ancient Roman ruins and mosaics are so well preserved, and we just couldn’t get enough!After Volubilis, Abdel drove us to Moulay Idriss, where he stopped at a beautiful viewpoint for photos and took us through the town so we could see more of it. We then continued to Meknes, where he took us to a lovely rooftop restaurant for lunch with a great view. Throughout the day, Abdel was patient, accommodating, and made sure we were enjoying ourselves.We were so happy with this day trip and can’t recommend it enough. It was the perfect mix of history, and culture. Abdel was an excellent driver and guide professional, kind, and genuinely invested in making sure we had a great experience.

Fantastic experience. Hamza is very professional and competent- we requested some changes and he immediately offered different options for our tour. I wish I had booked all the tours with the company. If you want a fabulous experience, book him.

Our driver mohammed was very nice and accommodating, with good knowledge of the area. The tour was relaxed and not pressured, recommend.

This tour only requires a driver as there are guides for hire once you get to Volubilis. Our driver Osama was friendly and helpful. We were finished by 1:30pm and back to Fes by 2:30pm. I would only recommend this excursion if you have an extra day in Fes.

We did the day trip to Volubilis, Meknes and Moulay Idress. Sufyan was friendly, polite, well presented, helpful and knowledgeable. He made the trip interesting and helped us understand the culture and history of Morocco. He was a great ambassador for his country.

We have travelled to over 33 countries but have never experienced the level of service as that from Hamza and his staff at Bekben Travel in Fes, Morocco. All our tours were well planned, with very safe and knowledgeable drivers and who had the same commitment to service as Hamza. We did a private tour to Volubilis, Moulay Idriss and Meknes. Our driver Sufyan not only shared his expertise in Moroccan culture, history and anthropology but went out his way to help us even after the tour had ended. Similarly our group trip to Chefchaouen ran like clockwork in a very comfortable A/C van. We forgot a seat cushion on the bus and I contacted Hamza after 9pm and he responded within a few minutes. He tracked the driver Mehdi who very kindly made a special trip to drop off the cushion at 1045pm. Dedication to care and service like this cannot be bought, it comes from the heart. We applaud and thank Hamza, Sufyan and Mehdi and will recommend them to all our family and friends. 5 STARS does not do them justice

Bekben arranged this one way transfer for us. Arranging this with manager Hamza was easy and straightforward. Our awesome 5-star driver was Abdelkarim. He showed up on-time and with good communication the entire time. He was knowledgable of the areas we visited. Each stop we made was worthwhile. Abdelkarim was a safe, experienced driver and very friendly. He was very personable and made us feel comfortable the entire time we were with him. He knew all the perfect spots for picture-taking. He was easy to talk to and gave us insight on local living, even recipes for some tagine. We would definitely book with Bekben travel again and would specifically ask for Abdelkarim.

We found our driver Sufyan to be very knowledgeable about Moroccan history and culture, with excellent English. A safe driver and extremely courteous, who went out of his way to accommodate us. What a wonderful day! Mohamed Elyahyaoui was an exceptional driver, guide and caretaker. Anything you want to know, he will tell you. He went above and beyond to assure our comfort. Be prepared with questions so you get the most of his knowledge. He knows all the stops for great pictures and he is also a great photographer. Bring your smiles. We had plenty of time in each stop. I would recommend Mohamed. He is like your favorite uncle.

We had a special shopping experience in Meknes where I bought a beautiful rug. We really felt we had a local experience, would recommend.
