We booked a one day tour to Chefchaouen and could not have been happier. Our driver, Badr, met us at our hotel, was a wonderful driving companion and knowledgeable about our destination. We learned a lot and Badr even assisted our negotiations to buy a trinket or two. The driver and this touring company are the best as far as we are concerned.
Badr is an excellent, safe driver. Prior to picking us up, he confirmed the date and time and also supplied a photo of his car and license plate. Badr was kind, considerate and cheerfully answered all our questions. He has a great personality and we enjoyed our time with him immensely. As a resident of Fes, I highly recommend Badr for any of your driving needs.
The whole process was a bit cumbersome and somewhat annoying. Our original request during the booking process was 10am. We received a confirmation for 10AM. We also received another notification for 9am. I contacted the tour operator and was told they cannot drive thru the mountains at night and needs to be 8am. Not what I booked but ok - Fine - we will go with the flow. When the driver arrived we were obviously disappointment in the car and to make matters worse, the car was dirty. We have enjoyed our time in Morocco and have been accustomed to Mercedes touring vans for Casablanca, Rabat, Tangier and Fez. When I booked the most expensive tour since this was a long trip to Chechaoun from Fez, I expected the same luxurious car / vans we had in other citites- I was not expecting what arrived. The car was dirty, the driver unprofessional and small. The description has luxurious in the title and this felt like cousins Vinny was called to make a couple of bucks. My husband mistakenly forgot his phone and we asked the driver to turn around and drive the three minutes back to the hotel’s. The driver seemed put out by this request. Mind you, this is a private driver that we hired but felt more like we were an inconvenience. We stopped where everyone seems to stop at Mountain Rif hotel, which we did not request. We prefer not to stop but the driver did not ask. We asked the driver for only a ten minute stop - he said 20 minutes so he could have lunch. I am not paying to stop for the driver to have lunch when we are only 80 minutes from our destination and he would have three hours to have lunch while we explored Chefchaouen. Also, he did state that he is not a robot and needs to stop. We had not experience anything like that in our two weeks in Morocco. We were only given two hours in Chefchaouen. On the return trip, our driver was stopped for several minutes due to papers not being correct and then stopped again. We did not ask for any additional stops and were extremely frustrated at this point. Extremely disappointing in the whole experience and the driver acted as if we were at his disposal not the other way around. We also had to ask for air conditioning

Mr. Mohammed was an amazing guide. Very patient and made us feel welcome and comfortable. He also was very knowledgeable about Fes and Chefchaouen. We didn’t realize we also had a private guide, Mr. Hazim, when we arrived in Chefchaouen. He truly loves his city and many people know and love him in the Medina. Great experience and would book again.
We had a good time with Mohammed as our driver. He was quite knowledgeable about Morroco and Fes. We learned a lot. Once we were in the Blue City, Hazim, really did an amazing job in showing all the highlights of Chefchaouen. He was like the major of the city! Friendly to everyone and everyone knew him. Chefchaouen is so beautiful, definitely worth the long drive to get there. Our driver Reda is very friendly and accommodating. He knows where we can get clean toilet, fresh fruits, stops for good picture spots.
We booked this tour to take us to Chefchaeoun from Fes. The driver called me the day before that we needed to set off earlier than planned, I had booked 10.30am so we agreed and eventually set off for 9am. There were 2 main stops before we got to Chefchaeoun. One was a beauty spot where we took pictures. The other was at a restaurant where you are able to eat and use the restroom if you want to. On getting to the Blue City, the driver stopped at two different spots for us to take pictures. Be very careful, some women will approach you trying to put some scarves or caps on you for a fee. Anyway getting into the city, we had to get a tour guide who took us round (paid for by us). We agreed a time to meet the driver for our return trip. It was a lovely experience in all. Now the driver tried to be fast and act cunning (I won't go into details). I reported the next day and Hamza (the owner of Bekben) immediately made amends to rectify the situation. As a gooodwill gesture, he sent a car and driver to pick us up from the stadium the next day at night and take us back to our hotel. That gesture was very much appreciated. Mr Saeed our driver that night, even took us to a good spot to get food before going to the hotel. The customer service we received went over and beyond and I can't thank Hamza enough. Once you book this tour, you're in safe hands. I highly recommend them. They'll ensure you get there safely and back and should you have any issues, Hamza is very reachable and willing to make sure all is well. Thanks again Hamza and Mr Saaed for everything.
The city of Chefchaouen is far from Fez. It takes multiple hours each way to get there, and the roads are safe but have many twists and turns. You drive through many small villages and remote areas but it is a beautiful sight. Definitely recommend a private driver as he made us feel safe and we got to spend as much time as we wanted in Chefchaouen. Recommend leaving early as it can get dark on the drive home. The blue city itself is beautiful. There's not much else to do there, but it's worth going for the pictures. There are a lot of locals trying to be guides. It is preferable to go with a guide, or you can choose to explore on your own. If you're going alone, be aware that anyone who offers to take your picture or wants to show you around will likely expect payment or ask for money. This trip DOES NOT come with a tour guide, so be prepared to find one or plan for one separately.
Little hectic to do it in a day…. 8 hours drive and 2 to 3 hours of sightseeing. Overall good experience
This is a long day from Fes with a 3 Hour drive to and from Chefchouen, but it was definitely worth visiting this beautiful city. We had limited time in the area in general and I’m so glad that we made the trip. We had about 3 1/2 hours to explore and have something to eat.. Be prepared for some crazy driving though!

We used Bekben Travel for a day trip to Chefchaouen (from Fes). Hicham was our driver and he was excellent! We had such a good experience with Bekben Travel that we used them again a few days later for transport from our riad to the Fes train station. It was again an excellent experience with another great driver (Hamza). Both cars were clean and comfortable and both of our drivers were good drivers who were friendly and knowledgeable.

I scheduled a photo shoot in Chefchaouen, so I booked the private transportation from Fes. The company provided good communication before the trip. The driver arrived on time, made sure I was comfortable in the vehicle, and explained how long it would take to arrive (3.5hrs). He asked if I wanted to stop at various locations to take pictures. About midway, we stopped to use the rest rooms & to grab a snack. We arrived an hour before my scheduled shoot, just enough time to grab lunch. When the shoot was over, the driver promptly picked me up at the drop off point & we headed back to Fes. We stopped at the same rest stop for rest room break & snacks. Overall, a good day trip.
I cannot recommend Bekben Travel enough, especially our fantastic driver, Hamza. We initially booked transport through our Riad for a round trip from Fez to Chefchaouen, but we’re so glad we canceled it at the last minute and chose Hamza instead. As a parent traveling with an infant, there are certain aspects I am very particular about: a private ride, affordability, cleanliness, and most importantly, a safe and reliable driver. Hamza exceeded all expectations in every area. Not only was the SUV clean and comfortable, but Hamza was incredibly professional and accommodating, even at the last minute. The journey was smooth and, despite the multiple police checkpoints (which we were warned about), Hamza managed to navigate the route efficiently, getting us to our destinations ahead of schedule. There are numerous speed traps and checkpoints along the way, and the police were actively looking for ways to fine drivers, but Hamza’s experience and calm demeanor kept everything under control. Hamza went above and beyond by connecting with our child, making the trip even more enjoyable. He had a great playlist for kids and even made some scenic stops, allowing us to enjoy breathtaking views and buy fresh oranges from a local farm. Along the way, Hamza shared helpful tips for the rest of our journey and kindly offered his assistance if we needed anything beyond this trip. When we arrived in Chefchaouen, Hamza arranged a fantastic local guide to show us around the beautiful blue city. The guide was knowledgeable and helped us navigate the narrow streets, making the experience even more enriching. We also appreciate Hamza’s thoughful gesture for offering us help on anything beyond our Fes trip. He asked to contact him if we ran into any issues. If you are planning a trip to Morocco, especially if you're traveling with kids or need a reliable and safe driver, I wholeheartedly recommend Hamza and Bekben Travel. The guide was wonderful. I was very moved by the fact that I was able to sample the food at a special bakery, that they took photos of the participants, that they carefully guided me through every corner, and that they provided transportation to and from my hotel. The participants also became friends. I had some really good memories. thank you.
I loved this trip! It was the perfect mix of having a guide to teach us something about the city but also plenty of free time to get lost in the city and take it all in our own which I loved. If you’re looking for a full time guide, this isn’t the trip for you. I thought it was the perfect balance. The guides were so incredibly kind too. we traveled here during Ramadan and on the way home we stopped so for Iftar (the meal after the fast), and they all invited us to sit with them and shared their food. This was one of my favorite memories of Morocco. Just sharing in the culture and in good conversation with great people.
Thunder organization!! A person came directly to pick us up at the meeting point and took us to the car. Super comfortable car. Saïd is an excellent driver! But what about Yassine, his co-pilot/coordinator/host/DJ?! Yassine was incredibly kind! Great smile, super funny and greatly contributed to what we don't see during the 4 hours of travel. If we have to do another excursion we will go back to Bekben Travel and cross our fingers that we will end up with Saïd and Yassine again! Ps: don't forget to wear seat belts
The city is truly beautiful and unique. The transfer service with Mustapha was excellent and the guide Ibrahim was really good (he also showed us the most instagrammable spots). Excellent value for money. I recommend the package for smaller groups because it also includes the guide. In any case, a recommended experience!
Great day trip. We had a wonderful time,We had some photo and café stops on the way, which made the long journey comfortable. the city is very touristy but beautiful and pleasant to get around. Maybe it has a few too many shops that hide the buildings and makes everything a bazaar.However, the experience was pleasant and the trip was excellent.Absolutely beautiful city in the sun. hamza made the trip with his information about the country and his kindness.
