Fes Desert Tours 2 Days

In the middle of July 2023 my friend and I went from Fes to Merzouga for a two days trip with Aziz who was our driver and guide for the occasion. Aziz was very professional and kind, quite and prepared to answer to all our questions and curiosities. He made sure we had all the commodities we needed and drove us safely to the hotel in Merzouga. We made a few stops along the street to see the monkeys in the cedres natural reserve and some beautiful landscapes. From the hotel in Merzouga we rode camels and reached our tent in the desert where we spent the night, after a nice dinner and music. The morning after we went back to the hotel and Aziz drove us back to Fes. The trip is long but it's totally worth it.

Had a private car with a very nice driver! Saddiq took us from Fez to Merzouga and kept us entertained all the way :) He told us interesting Information and took us to nice stops for pictures and food. The camp was also great! We would definitely recommend it, it is totally worth it.

Aziz picked is up early in the morning from the hotel. Everything went smoothly the whole tour. We stopped and he customized the tour for us 3 according to our needs. We had great banter and communication which is really important if you’re traveling together in a car for 10 hours. The tour itself was Amazing. Never experience anything like it. A couple of words about our wonderful Tour guide Aziz. His English was great, he was super reliable a good driver and really fun to be around with. From then on he was our go to guy anything Moroccan. He gave us tips for fez, showed us around some more and even showed us an authentic Riad as we have not seen one from the inside. We really enjoyed our time in Morocco and he made it amazing! Thank you very much and if we are ever back I’m afraid you will hear from us ;)

We loved our experience on the guided camel tour and overnight stay in the Sahara Desert. Our guide, Fouad, picked us up on Saturday morning and drove us through the little Switzerland village and took us to a spot where we were able to feed the monkeys and take pictures. We trust Fouad and really appreciated him guiding us through a Berber market to find head scarves. Fouad was incredible, we were his “brothers” and would recommend this trip and him as a guide to everyone. The camels were waiting for us when we arrived in Merzouga, then we rode out to see the sunset and arrive to the tents. The sunset was amazing and the tent village was very nice. The individual tents had a space for locks and slept up to 3 people each. We each had our own bed and slept wonderfully. There are bathrooms with running water, toilets, and showers as well as working lights and electricity at the camp. We were able to sandboard after sunset then were treated to tea and an authentic Moroccan dinner. Next, we went to a fire outside and heard traditional Berber drum music - they let us play around on the drums after. We went to see the stars after and loved the peacefulness and serenity of the world’s largest desert. The stars were incredible. We went to bed and awoke to ride our camels back before dawn. Along the ride, we caught the sunset and took even more amazing photos. We then arrived at a hotel where we were served a breakfast buffet and able to shower before heading back to the airport. Fouad got us to the airport on time and we are so grateful for all of his driving and for making us feel so comfortable in a land so foreign to us. Would recommend to everyone - great value, great times, unforgettable memories!

It was an amazing experience. We drove 500 km from fes to the desert, with the extraordinary Abdul. He stop several times for us to take photos and appreciate the views, and took us to some very good and affordable restaurants. The experience in the desert was a bit chaotic because all the tourists there, but to watch the sunset and sunrise in the dunes is priceless. Loved the trip and the company of our driver Abdul. He is really the best! Happy new year

The tour was amazing and everything was relaxed and well organized. We also saw many nice spots on the way from Fes to the Sahara. We definitely had fun!

My sister and I had such a memorable experience with Fuma Tour Travel from Fes to the Sahara. They are extremely accommodating, knowledgeable, and take care to ease you into the slower pace of the desert. Our sweet guide for the camel excursion, Mohammad, even dressed my sister in full Berber attire to keep her warm as the sun was setting and the wind kicked up. Such kind and immensely enjoyable group of people. Highly recommend if you’re looking to unplug and see some real beauty in the Sahara. ♥️

First time in Morocco and found this activity listed on a travel blog. Definitely a must do! The drive is long but once you get out to the desert it’s beautiful and you see so many stars. I recommend!

Aziz was a cheerful and knowledgeable driver who informed us about many different spots and historical landmarks throughout our drive. Stopped at numerous places for photos of some exceptional views. The camel ride and stay on the camp site was magnificent. The camel tour guides were very helpful and made the campsite trip a pleasure. The early morning camel ride is definitely worth it. Would go on this trip again

Aziz picked us up right outside our riad in Fes and stopped at many beautiful landscapes on the way. He is very professional and kind and a great driver as well. Once we arrived in Merzouga, we were greeted with mint tea and directed to the camels. Aziz helped us wrap our scarves around our heads and then off we went! The desert was captivating and the camp was exquisite. I would recommend this experience to anyone!

My sister and I recently went for our 2 day desert tour from Fes. I dont usually write reviews but I have to say that Aziz was the best travel guide we could ask for to take us to the desert. He was very kind and accommodating. Looked after us well. He made sure we were comfortable during our long drive from Fes to Merzouga and then back. He was punctual and professional. We’re a group of friends who went for a 2 day trip in the Desert of merzouga from Fez. It was one of the most beautiful experence of our lives. We saw beautiful landsacapes( like ziz valley) and had very great time with our guide Aziz. He is a true professionist. He was so well prepared and treated us so kindly. He also knows some really good places where you can eat authentic moroccoan food. We are so grateful and we suggest this experience to everyone!!!

This was a brilliant trip for a family with two boys aged 16 and 12. Yes, it's a long drive, but the roads are OK, there are some interesting things to see on the way and Aziz is a good, safe driver, informative and fun company. He also knows great cafes and restaurants to eat at (I recommend saying yes if he offers to take you to a more local place!). The camel drover was also great, with great language skills and also good company. The camp may not be the smartest there, but it's good enough. You will probably meet more insects than some people would like, but forget them, forget the heat, this is a great experience and really good value. Thanks, Aziz, we will remember this for a long time. Thoroughly recommended!

Had a wonderful time on my 2 Day Fez to Merzouga Desert Tour with Fuma Tour Travel. Aziz, the manager was quick to respond and help me arrange this tour for my group of 7 for a great price! Our driver Abdel was just as amazing and so kind and made great conversation with us (he speaks English which is a plus). Merzouga is the best part of the desert in my opinion and is worth the long journey. The camps were nice, and included dinner and breakfast were great! Would definitely recommend this company :)

We are two Italian guys just over 20 years old. Before leaving for this trip, I admit I was a bit afraid, but as soon as we landed and met Mohamed (our guide), we were immediately reassured. Getting to know him, we understood that we would be in good hands. We had a quiet 7-day vacation, full of experiences; we saw and learned so many things. Thanks to his competence and professionalism, we avoided typical tourist traps and enjoyed the trip 100%. The riads and hotels where we stayed provided us with a pleasant stay, including regarding breakfasts and dinners. Thanks to Mohamed, we had local experiences that we would never have thought of having, but which gave us a great cultural background. He was not just a guide but a friend who made us feel as if we were at home. He introduced us to his lovely family who welcomed us for some exquisite traditional dinners. We had a wonderful time, thank you from the heart! Shkran!

They have been super professional, they have been watching the group throughout the trip. The desert experience better than we expected, the spectacular jaimas, the friendly staff....we go all exceptional Thank Mohamed our driver for his kindness, his attention and how well he has treated us all, his outstanding driving. I only have words of thanks to Aziz because our family trip has been 10! Insurmountable, and if we return to Fez we will call them again;)

Unforgettable excursion with Mustapha in the Sahara desert.Breathtaking scenery, a sunset on the back of a camel and a ski descent over the dunes at sunrise, my children loved it.Thank you very much to Aziz who organized remotely.

I highly recommend this tour, really interesting. Starting from Fes you have an idea of this part of Morocco: you pass through the Atlas Mountains, cross the Ziz Valley and reach the desert with the dunes, where, after a nice walk on the dromedaries, we watched the sunset, had dinner and slept for one night in a tent equipped with bathroom. Morning after sunrise in the desert, breakfast and return to Fes. All accompanied by the trusty Aziz of Fuma Tour Travel, helpful and precise, who knows how to give you all kinds of information and tries in every way to make the long journey to the Merzouga desert pleasant!

Destination quite far from Fez, but the car trip with our guide Mostafa was very pleasant because his kindness , patience , humor and reassuring driving allowed us not to see time pass. Also the dromedary ride to the camp, the starry night, the sunrise, are all good memories for the whole family

100% recommended, I would definitely repeat again, as it has been an unforgettable experience where at all times I have felt at home. We arrived and were offered tea and were in the pool, later we rode on the camels appreciating the wonderful dunes. Mubarak the boy who was with us was very attentive throughout. The haima were great, clean and the treatment spectacular. Very good dinner and later we had live music. Definitely a unique experience that I recommend to everyone and especially with this wonderful family.

We went to the desert with driver Mustafa. It was a long trip but Mustafa was super nice to us, brought us to local restaurants for lunches. We made several stops to see the views, everything was very beautiful. We reached the desert until sunset. On the camels, we enjoyed the most beautiful view of our lives. It was really amazing. Our trip with Aziz was excellent! Always very attentive, we stopped at several interesting points and had from the experience of feeding macaquinhos, to taste the food of a really local restaurant. The Camel tour was great, as was the night at the camp, a magical experience. I had never seen a starry sky like that of the desert! We highly recommend.
