Day Trip To Chefchaouen From Fez With Local Expert

Got a ride from Muha Buzga. He was on time, very friendly and overall great to be around. He made the 4 hour journey very enjoyable. He was a wealth of information, giving us the background of all the places as we passed by. He was very patient when we needed to stop along the way and went out of his way to return my hotel room key. 10/10 will book again.

My husband & I took a day trip from Fes to Blue City with Said & Said was wonderful as he drove us safely & leisurely drove us with stops on the way & instructed us well where he will drop & pick . You will get picked up near your hotel at arround 8. It takes about 4 hours to Chefchaouen, so there is a gas station/ cafe/toilet stop half way. The road to Chefchaouen is a little bumpy at times, very up and down through the mountains. It is very beautiful- but if you have motion sickness be prepared. Chefchaouen is very pretty (and as blue as the pictures). Included in the price is a 1hr guided tour. I personally didnt go on it, as I was hungry and wanted to get food. We had 3-4 hours free time after the guided tour, then back to the mini bus. I do want to note that on the day we went, there was a flash flood on the road, so the drive was longer than expected as we had to find another way. Our tour guide, Mahfood, and driver, Abdelhadi, rerouted the bus with ease, and so we arrived before the other tours, which meant we had more free time! Thank you both!

Chefchouen is a beautiful and magical city that is full of history. The city is literally blue. Our tour guide Abdul who is a native of the city is s knowledgeable and his narration is supported by data/facts. The road to Chefchouen is winding and at that time, slippery due to the rains. We had to request our driver to slowdown a bit and avoid overtaking.

Was a great trip with a very knowledgeable driver and guide Mohammed. The local guide was also very good and showed us many parts of the village we may have missed otherwise. Vehicle was comfortable with lots of room.

The day trip to Chefchaouen was amazing, our driver Zaki was super and also our local guide which took us also to the waterfall and gave us some advice where to buy some original hand made carpets and where to eat. Super worth it

THE TRIP IS WORTH IT, BUT IT'S A LONG WAY. They stop three times on the way for tourist stops (with shops, people or taking pictures...) but the town is beautifuls and you can visit the medina in few hours.

Mohcine was an amazing guide! He was very friendly, spoke excellent English, and was an expert driver. He took us to a local spot for lunch on the way to Chefchaouen, showed us beautiful views, and always made sure we were comfortable. He took great photos too! We had a lot of fun with him, and had great conversations. We can’t wait to come back to Morocco and book a much longer tour through the desert!

Fascinating trip and not just Chefchaouen but also the journey there. The driver and guide made it a fun trip, if a little long. In hindsight maybe an overnight stay would be a good idea.

The drive to/from Chefchaouen from Fez is a long one, but the breaks along the way make it very doable, and the beautiful scenery enjoyable. Ibrahim was our driver/guide and he was excellent! He was punctual and took care to explain how the day was laid out, and gave us explanations of what we were seeing at stops/when passing along the way. If you aren’t planning to go north of Fez but still want to experience Chefchaouen, this is a great option and full day activity (8am-8pm with ~4hrs in the city, after a 1hr guided tour which is included). The trip was well worth it. We were picked up very close to our Riad. Guide was in Chefchaouen was very informative. We had enough time to walk around ourselves after tour.

Great communication from the team ,very efficient with the instructions of meeting point, quick response for any queries. For the trip, it was long drive to and from Chefchaouen but scenic route along the way and some stops to beautiful landscapes where you can take photos, so you still enjoy.Our guide in the Chefchaouen(forgot his name)but he is very enthusiastic and has a lot of humor and gives general knowledge about the area.

I've been to Morocco 🇲🇦 to many places... Casablanca, Fez, Tangier , Marrakech. Every city is unique, but the most impressive one is Chefchauen with it's marvelous blue 💙 color. Our driver Mister Mohammed was very kind and friendly, he was very helpful, speaks , very good English and Spanish languages , beside Arabic. The Moroccan roads are one of the most dangerous in Africa but he is a master in accident prevention. I strongly recommend booking their tour.

Pretty on time, good vehicle condition, just the enough number of stops, and very professional. They also offered a free guided tour at Chefchaouen (the guide wasn't great, but also you absolutely do not need a guide in Chefchaouen). And good value too (I was going to do it on my own via bus but this is way more convenient). Overall, highly recommend.

We had Idriss as our guide from Casablanca to Fes and the next day from Fes to Chefchaouen, as well as for the last day going back from Marrakech to Casablanca. We spent a lot of time driving in the car so we felt like we got to know him pretty well. He is very personable, friendly, funny and kind and he helped us shaped our itinerary to fit our needs. It has been a great pleasure working with him and if you’re looking to book, feel at ease because he will take great care of you!

Mustapha went above and beyond! Particularly when dropping off the clients (end of trip), he ensures everyone are safe. With those who has big bags he even assisted them to find a cartwheel so it will be easier for them to go to their respective Riads inside the Medina. Very accomodating and respectful

The trip was exactly as described. Everything was on time, and the guides were great. The pickup and drop off at/from my hotel were much appreciated and one of the reasons I chose this particular trip as opposed to others. The vehicle used was comfortable.

Our driver, Mohammed, was a very pleasant and knowledgeable person, not to mention a safe and confident driver. He stopped several times on our way to get beautiful photos at vistas. I must admit that my travel companion and I were expecting more of a tour, with a guide, experience with more explanations during the drive--as the title of this experience, "local expert" had us thinking--but luckily we were ready with questions ourselves and our driver was more than ready and eager to answer. The van was comfortable as well. In our estimation, taking advantage of this experience is well worth it, as getting from Fez to Chefchaouen via other means of transport such as a bus or shared taxi can be very dicey and hard to navigate.

I did the Fes to Chefchaouen day trip with Abdul and I can’t recommend it enough. He was always very friendly and engaging and made sure we knew the key highlights of the stops we do on the way. He made time for us to stop for pictures along the way and always kept a positive spirit :). Once in Chefchaouen he made sure we all got to where we needed safely. In my case I was travelling only one way and he made sure I got to my Riad safely, calling the reception and confirming directions. 100% recommend it !

Amazing full day tour. Even though four hours didn’t seem like a lot of time, it was more than enough to see the highlights of Chefchaouen. When we arrived, we also met with a local tour guide who showed us around for one hour and the rest of the time we were able to explore the town on our own. In addition we had a driver and a guide, Yassine, who made our journey from and to Fez very safe and comfortable.

We’d recommend this tour to anyone looking to get the most out of Chefchaouen when you’ve only got a half day to spare. The staff were fantastic. Our driver Hassan got us to our destinations safely, and our tour coordinator Yassine was very personable and incredibly helpful - he made sure to call out important landmarks along the trip, and gave a brief introduction to the city as we got closer for some additional context and history of Chefchaouen. Yassine is the man! The tour around Chefchaouen offered beautiful views with great information provided by a local guide, with stops along the way for stories and pictures. Not once were we pressured to purchase something, making the guided tour a very pleasurable experience. There was free time after the tour to roam the city, which was mostly taken up mostly by getting lunch at a local restaurant. I’d recommend you pack some food if you’re looking for more time to explore, but the tour certainly covers enough to see Chefchaouen for the beautiful place that it is. Thank you from Canada!

Comfortable van ride and good explanations by the guide in our day trip to Chefchaouen from Fes and back. Little pauses in between the trip were nice to see the beautiful scenaries of North Morocco.

This was a good day trip. Our tour coordinator Yassine was really friendly and nice. The tour guide in Chefchaouen was good, he did take us to his shop and tried to make us buy things but still a very good day trip. Would recommend.

The trip was quite good , everything went accordingly and the driving felt safe. Both the driver and the guide on the tour bus had a very good english and was really nice, the tour guide of chefchaouen was included and the guide there was also quite friendly and had a complete explanation of the tour! Overall was a really great trip and totally worth the price.

We were between going there by bus and going with a tour. Selected this tour. Enjoyed the tour, we were picked up from our riad and returned to blue gate as our riad was pretty close. About pick up point dont hesitate to contact them through whatsapp or direct call. They help a lot. Our guide at fez and at van was knowledgable enough. Enjoyed it. Due to rain, the city was very empty, perfect for taking pictures. The city is cleaner safer and cheaper than fez. When going you have 3 stops, one at lake, one for coffee and one at panaromic view when arriving at chefchefan. At return you have one stop at coffee point. Going, returning, visiting takes 4 hour each. 12 hours in total.
