First the positive... Chefchaouen is really pretty and worth the visit. Our guide spent 90 minutes walking our group around (he was only required to do 60 minutes) and made sure we hit all the key sites. BTW... he was 85 years old... good job sir. Now the negatives.... Meeting the group was absolute chaos. The meeting site had at least a dozen other groups that were meeting there. There was no signage and it was a bit of luck that we found our tour group. We were 2 of maybe 6 people who spoke English, the other 20 people spoke Spanish. Therefore, our guide had to do his explanations twice. This is why the walking part of the tour took an extra 30 minutes. The size of the group was too large for an 85 year old tour guide to control. By the end of the tour, we had lost about 8 members of our group. Not the guides fault. The main issue though was the bus.... it is a 4 hour drive through the desert to get to Chefchaouen. It was about 95 degrees and the AC on the bus didn't work! It was 4 hours of riding in an oven. We stopped once to stretch our legs. When everyone reboarded the bus, the driver didn't seem to have any idea if he still had all his passengers. On the return trip, they brought in a different bus because of the AC issue on the initial bus ride. The second bus also did NOT have a working AC. So, 4 more hours of riding in an oven. My recommendation is to not use this company. Either use a private driver or rent a car (the road to Chefchaouen seemed pretty easy to navigate).

The drive isn’t as bad as it sounds. It goes pretty quick and it’s worth it. The blue city is so fun to see. Major shout out to our guide Abdelhadi and driver Hassan who were very friendly and helpful throughout the trip.
If you’re searching for a simple tour trip with a local guide, Zaki is not your guy. He is much more than a local guide: he is an humorist, a psychologist, a translator, a teacher but above all a good human being. You will not see the past time, you will laugh and learn so many things along the way. Day trip from Fes to Chefchaouen: bring cash, be on time and enjoy it!
We did the one-way transfer from Fez to Chefchaouen with the driver Zacki. The four-hour journey went by incredibly quickly thanks to his kindness and great personality. Along the way, he shared lots of interesting anecdotes about Morocco, which made the whole trip enjoyable and engaging. We definitely recommend him and this transfer company.
It’s just Ana amazing trip, Guidance were perfect the transportation was smooth and comfortable and City is amazing 💙💙
What an incredible experience, chefchaouen is a beautiful city and the guide (1 hour ish) was very informative allowing me to walk freely and comfortably for the remainder of my time there (3 hours). There are plenty of photo opportunities whilst having the guided tour and even outside of the city, looking from afar. There are also some beautiful shops to explore with local hand crafted pieces. I would recommend walking (approx. 10mins) to the waterfalls from the centre of the medina, but can get quite crowded in the middle of the day. The experience was perfected by our driver Zaki, despite the scorching heat outside in August, the bus was cool and comforting for the long journey. I felt safe from the moment I booked with clear communication and until I got off of the bus back to fez due to Zaki’s excellent driving. A must do experience whilst in fez whilst being very affordable and would recommend to anyone who visits.
Our driver Zaki was super nice and he drove us safely to chefchaouen and back. We had a really good time.
We had a wonderful experience during our excursion from Fes to Chefchaoufen. Our driver Zaki was incredibly kind, friendly and helpful. He picked us up from our riad and he was always available to help and made us feel very comfortable and welcome.
Hello, the tour guide and driver performed their duties well. The guide in Chefchaouen explained the city very well. However, the van's air conditioning was not working effectively; it was very hot inside. My country is hot too, yet the vans there are ice-cold. The heat is no excuse; you are here to provide a service, so please represent your country well.
We had a great experience! The pickup from the hotel was easy and well communicated, and our driver and guide Zaki and Omar were wonderful! They were professional, friendly, funny, and knowledgeable.
Zaki and Mustafá were both knowledgeable, friendly and so helpful!
Zaki was a fantastic driver who made sure we all arrived at the appropriate places and were kept safe on the road!
It’s was a super day , beautiful city very cool and zaki he was the best thanks for everything and for service
I recently did the Fez to Chefchaouen excursion with 3T-Travel and it was an absolutely wonderful experience! A special thank you to our driver Zaki, who made the journey so comfortable and enjoyable. Everything was well organized, and the trip made for an unforgettable day. I highly recommend 3T-Travel to anyone looking to explore Morocco — you won’t be disappointed!
Comfortable ride, and Zaki was very friendly.
Very pleasant drive, very accommodating, made sure we were comfortable throughout. Gave us good advice and recommendations. Overall great experience
This day trip from Fes to Chefchaouen was a fun experience. Our drivers and tour guide had great energy and were helpful with questions and directions. The drive there and back was long but very atmospheric and gave us just the right amount of time to spend in the city.
Great experience and nice driver (Saïd). Unfortunately, we had some problems with the bus. People were complaining, but Saïd made the best of it. He paid for their taxi. Saïd, thanks for everything!
Amazing experience with Saïd! The bus had some technical difficulties, but he handled it like a champ and took amazing care of us. Definitely a memorable experience and would book again!
It was a great day trip from Fes to Chefchaouen. Special mention to our driver Zakaria who made us feel comfortable and looked after us very well during the day. The guide in Chefchaouen was also great, a very funny and knowledgeable person.
Starting with the positives, Chefchaouen is a lovely place and we really enjoyed our time walking the streets. We were given 4 hours there which felt like a good amount of time to enjoy the sites. Unfortunately, the travel to and from Chefchaouen was very poor. The minibus was very old and dated. The seats were very close together which made for a very uncomfortable ride. The seat belts were also not working properly. The drive is very long and the road conditions bumpy, our driver drove very fast which made this worse at points. There was also more than the advertised 17 people on our minibus on the way there which made it feel more squashed. On the way back, the driver did not stop for over 3 hours (the tour advertises several stops). The windows at the back of the bus leaked- which we found out the hard way when it started raining on the way back and my arm got soaked. Overall, we would recommend Chefchaouen but would strongly encourage exploring other ways to get there as we were very disappointed by this and do not feel this was good value for money.
This had mixed reviews. The town has great Instagram moments but it is very touristy with the same shops repeated every block. It lessens the authentic feel. And it is a long drive. Our guide was not very informative with historical facts. There may be other tours better worth your time, like a spa experience at a hahamman with a moroccan cooking class. But if you want to drive 7 hrs for an Instagram moment it may be of value to you.
Definitely worth doing if you don’t mind a day of more driving than sightseeing and have an extra day in fes. The drive there and back was breathtaking, and almost as enjoyable as the city itself! Enjoying the luscious green terrains of northern Morocco.
Great travel experience from Fez To Chefchauen. The driver Zaki was very professional and picked us up at the door of our hotel. Highly recommended and good value for money
Zaki our driver was excellent professional and courteous.
Thanks a lot for this trip, Zaki is the best guide of morroco !!!
Beautiful city. Driver and guides friendly and professional. It was a long day but worth it to see the Blue Pearl of Morroco. Very good value as its quite far
Beautiful tourist destination. Everyone was very kind. The drive was beautiful. Van was comfortable.
The drive to Chefchaouen was incredible! It was a missed opportunity to have the guide tell us about what we were seeing, where we were, and other details about the 4-hour drive through the countryside and mountains. There's a stop at a popular area for tours to get a coffee and pay for a bathroom stop. Your next stop is right outside the city, beautiful views but be wary of the scammers who will charge you for photos and dress you then ask for money. Then you're dropped in the center of things. Our guide was interesting - he wasn't really a people person and had a very unique style. Another missed opportunity for us to learn more about the place. It was a good amount of detail, and he was very perfunctory with his 1-hour tour, but it was also a little bit lacking. We had time to wander Chefchaouen, and I HIGHLY recommend taking advantage of the wandering, before getting back on the bus for a quiet ride back. There wasn't much about this that was special or unique to a private/small group, and there were some missed educational opportunities. If you're looking for a comfy ride from Fes to the blue city, this will work for you. But if you're looking for information, context, a tour, this isn't the trip for you. Interesting end to our evening... after dropping off a couple of passengers right next to where we were staying, my friend and I were the last ones on the bus and the guide & driver were surprised when we said that where they wanted to drop us wasn't our place. Then they put us in a taxi to get us back to our hotel. It added about 15-20 minutes onto the journey, but we did get a free, unexpected ride around Fes late in the evening.
Said Jamai was fantastic! He made the trip fun and go by quickly. Great driver and felt safe the whole time.
I had the absolute best time in Chefchaouen. Our driver Said was very professional and knew the roads very well. Our guide Abdelhadi was very nice and made sure everyone made it back to the meeting spot on time and communicated well throughout the trip. 10/10 would recommend this tour company!
Our journey with Said was truly memorable. From the moment we set off, he showed genuine care, making sure we were comfortable and at ease throughout the drive. What stood out most, however, was his entertaining spirit. Said has a natural gift for storytelling and humor, he turned what could have been a simple transfer into an engaging experience filled with laughter and lively conversation. His warmth and attentiveness made the long road feel shorter, and his energy brought joy to the trip. Traveling with Said wasn’t just about reaching Fes; it was about enjoying the journey itself. Highly recommended for anyone who values both professionalism and a touch of fun along the way.
Although our day trip to Chefchaouen didn’t go as planned due to flooding and an impassible road, our excellent driver, Zaki, handled the situation with grace and good humor, quickly pivoting the itinerary to Volubilis and Meknes instead. Some travelers in our group were using the tour as transportation to Chefchaouen rather than a day trip and back to Fes, and Zaki went out of his way to help them arrange alternative transport, even driving them to the train station to ensure their journeys continued smoothly. For the rest of us, the day turned out to be a success after all, rather than just returning to Fes, we had a fantastic visit to Volubilis followed by Meknes, where Zaki also arranged both a restaurant stop and a local guide to tour the medina. A great recovery from unexpected circumstances and a memorable day in the end.
Even though we took the trip on a rainy day, the trip to Chefchaouen was smooth, thanks to our driver Zaki. In very good English, he informed us from the start about the day's schedule and took us safely to our destination and back to Fes. The only one who was useless on this tour was the local guide in Chefchaouen. An old man, with no teeth in his mouth, who we could hardly understand and who made us worried that he wouldn't be able to continue on to the medina when we heard him coughing. Overall, it was a successful trip, the 4 hours allowed to tour the blue city were enough, too bad the weather didn't cooperate with us.
Abdelhadi and the driver Mahfod were right on time and very personable. The guide through the Medina, Abdul Salaam, was excellent. Five stars all the way!
Amazing drive from Fez to Chefchaouen with Zaki. Communication from start to finish was fantastic. Zaki is a great driver/guide with a wealth of knowledge and great conversation. Highly recommend!
We had a great experience! Our driver Zaki was very nice and informative. Chefchaouen was beautiful and worth the day trip. Would recommend it!
It was a good drive to the city and family thoroughly enjoyed it. Guide was knowledgeable took us to nice scenic areas
This is effectively a shared taxi; they take you to Chefchaouen and you explore - which is fine. The minibus was comfortable (although a few people had problems with their seatbelts), Zaki the driver did a great job, considering it was raining, the riad conditions were not always great, Moroccan drivers 🫣 and it's a long day for him. His sidekick, Omar was also nice, speaking both in English & Spanish. Getting to Chefchaouen, there was a guide who'd show us round for an hour. We were a group of 3 Spanish visitors and 3 English speaking people - the 'guide' mostly only spoke Spanish. I told him at the beginning that I didn't speak Spanish, but he continued focussing on the Spanish people. We were told we'd go to a Berber arts place, which turned out to be a rug place, of course with the intention to sell. In the rug shop, the man there only focussed on the Spanish people, because the guide was doing the same 🤷🏻♀️ So I learnt nothing about the city. After the 'tour' there was a further 3 hours alone time to explore. The company are aware of the above and have said they will not use the guide again. The next day I had a message from the driver asking me to leave a 5⭐ review, which makes me question how honest and reliable other reviews have been.
I cannot in good faith recommend you take this tour, instead it would have been cheaper and easier to take a city bus from Fes to get to Chefchaouen. The Blue Village itself is beautiful, but the tour and transportation were not good. We booked an English-speaking tour, but instead we were lumped into a Spanish-speaking tour. They periodically would explain things in English at the beginning but eventually we became an afterthought and they basically stopped trying to explain anything in English anymore. The “bus” they used (I use that term lightly) was incredibly cramped. I had to sit sideways in my seat just to fit as a tall person. They also never turned on air conditioning or opened windows, so on the way back everyone on the back got sweaty and hot, it was incredibly uncomfortable. Our “guide” also sounded annoyed to speak English and connected way better with the Spanish speaking people of the group. We had a couple that took pity on us and would help translate some of the Spanish (which they didn’t have to do, it was very nice). So overall, skip this tour, take the bus instead. It will be cheaper, more comfortable, and you can look up the information later instead of just being an afterthought on an awful “bus”
Timeline was exactly as they said it would be. Driver Zahra is an excellent and safe driver. Wonderful day in the Blue City. Highly recommend this company for the day trip.
Perfect trip to Chefchaouen for our family! Mustapha was great with the kids and made everything easy. Wonderful experience from start to finish
Great experience from Fes to the Blue Pearl. Stunning views all along the road, and our driver Mostfa kept the trip fun Definitely worth it!
First let me start by staying Chefchaouen is absolutely amazing and definitely worth visiting even though the roads getting there might be tough. However, the communication and organization of this tour company is beyond horrible. Fact 1: the driver was 20min late for morning pickup and the excuse is that travelers lived far apart (poor planning) Ok. But no one called me in advance about this delay and I had to call the operator Lily myself. She could not give an exact ETA and told me to just keep waiting outside. I ended up standing in cold wind for 20min. No apology from the driver when he eventually arrived. (See screenshot #1) Fact 2: the tour I booked is a small group tour of 8 people maximum but it ended up with 11. When I asked why, Lily explained because some people booked last minute so it was still considered a small group tour!! How ridiculous? More people means more time wasted on the road for pickup and drop off and also the price is tied to number of travelers. So this is clearly dishonest practice. (See screenshot #2) Fact 3: I was picked up the last because I stayed in the new city center whereas everyone else stayed in Old Medina. On its way back, the driver drove past my hotel and went straight into Medina and dropped off everyone else. Then I was stuck in traffic in old Medina before I was dropped off half an hour later. (See screenshot #3) I am not sure if the driver was being malicious or racist. But this was totally illogical and unacceptable.
Wonderful day trip from Fes to Chefchauoen - a must do to visit this magical city which is so beautiful and safe. Plan on an entire day given the drive, stops, and ample time for exploring the mysterious streets of this ancient city.
The trip to Chefchaouen was an excellent experience and Zaki was great coordinating the logistics, tours and stops along the way. We were very pleased with trip overall and would recommend to others even though a longer road trip. The city is rather unique given the history, blue color and layout inside the old wall dating back to about 1500.
Had an incredible experience from start to finish. Everything went exactly as described. The van was comfortable, clean, and had air conditioning plus USB ports to charge our phones. We made a few stops along the way to stretch, take pictures of the stunning scenery, and use the restroom, which made the journey feel easy and relaxed. Mostafa was fantastic skilled, careful on all the mountain curves, and made us feel completely safe. He was also on time for both pick-up and drop-off. Overall, it was a memorable trip and definitely something not to miss!
I really enjoyed the trip to Chefchaouen! Mustafa was very steady and always made us feel safe. The blue painted streets and mountain views were unforgettable. I will definitely recommend this trip to my friends
The day Trip to chefchaouen was amazing. The pick took place exactly as previously aligned. Hassan was great driver and was very friendly. Overall I can only recommend this tour.
After more than 10 days in Morocco, we’ve seen a lot of Medinas, but Chefchaouen was the most amazing! It’s a long trip from Fes, but our driver Mustapha made the time fly. Our pickup was prompt, his driving safe, and his cheerful witty conversation had us laughing all the way home. Thank you Mustapha for making the trip even more delightful!!
