We had a wonderful tour, great amount of time in each stop, driver Hassan was fabulous! Great AC in the car, lunch recommendation was perfect. Highly recommend.

A pleasant and informative Volubilis, Moulay Idriss, and Meknès trip!! The driver, Hassan, was attentive and made sure everyone enjoyed the trip. Pick up and drop off were also smooth. Time spent at each stop was just right. A small group in the tour so I appreciated it was not crowded. The ambience was also good. Comfortable bus. I recommend this tour package and the driver!!

We didn't need a guide in Volubis, just read Wikipedia and walk around reading the signs. It's pretty self-explanatory. Hassan was very accommodating to the small children (ages 4 and 6) and blind woman in our group. He arranged for a disability ticket at each stop and drove part of the way not usually driven to decrease the walking. He also gave his hat to a child to wear in the sun. He called everyone by name, jumped in and took photos, reminded everyone to buckle up and offered a hand while exiting the vehicle. The van needed better A/C, but we were fine.

Great tour with experienced guide, Abde & driver Hassan

Not English tour of 7 hrs—we 5 English speakers were combined with 7 French and it was 10 hrs. The van was good, driver only talked about a couple of things so English didn’t matter. Lunch was good. Tour was of Meknes not Volubilis and spent very very long time in a store.

We had a lovely trip to Meknes and the ancient Roman ruins. Beautiful palace, market and square. It was a very well-organised day trip for Fez. Hassan was an excellent and careful driver and very accommodating to my father who was not able to take the walking tour with us. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and gave us lots of information about the history of the city. It was very good value for money. We were very pleased with our tour and highly recommend it!

My host Abdelhadi and Hafssa were both wonderful guides. They are very knowledgeable and we enjoyed learning about Morroco history. The driver Hassan is a good driver and we feel really safe the entire time. Highly recommended trip!

I highly recommend this day trip to Volubilis and Meknes! Our guide Abdelhadi was very knowledgeable and pointed out many things on our drive from Fes to Meknes, making it much more memorable. He was also very helpful and kind and lent us an umbrella since it was raining during our tour of Meknes and also took us to a nice lunch spot. Volubilis was awesome to see and learn about and I would highly recommend going to this site if you are in Fes. Overall, I learned a lot on the tour of Meknes and had a great time. The other guide Hafssa was also super nice and welcoming. The driver Hassan was also excellent and got us there safely!

We started our tour with Abdelhadi as our guide who was incredibly knowledgeable and kind. He gave us detailed and concise history of the areas visited, we all learned so much from him. He even lent us his umbrella during the rainstorm and some extra cash for an admission fare! Hafssa was also very kind and met us midway on our Meknes tour to check in. Hassan our driver was very skilled at navigating the winding roads and stopped at wonderful viewpoints along the way. All in all, it was a wonderful day trip full of amazing views and wonderful history!

Travelling as a solo female, I highly recommend this trip with Hassan. He's brilliant, Comms were great, meeting location 3 mins away from Riad (not possible to have direct pick up as riad in medina), Hassan gave is local info on the way there and was clear in his Comms re collection time at the different locations. Highly recommend, there were 9 of us on the tour so small enough to not feel too crowded but large enough to make friends! Thanks Hassan!

Pick up on time at the agreed location. Great driver & info from Hassan. An additional 10 euros for each site guide, Moh at Meknes & Rashid at Volubilis. Well worth the fee as much useful & interesting information at a sensible pace. An hour for lunch at a very reasonable & super restaurant. A great day all round. Many thanks.

For the day trip version, costing as quoted on TripAdvisor, plus some admission fees, Hassan was a top tier driver and guide for the journey to Volubilis and Meknes. We visited many interesting historical sites!

We had an amazing experience in Fès thanks to our guides Hisham and Omar! 🙌 They are both extremely professional, knowledgeable, and friendly, with a deep passion for the city’s history, culture, and traditions.

We booked the “WITHOUT local tour guide” option which means we only had a driver to take us to each location. But our driver Saad essentially became our tour guide as he would explain the brief history at each location. Tons of freedom this way as he would give us a meeting point and time and we were off to explore on our own. We were actually able to end the tour when we wanted to since it was a little too hot that day and we needed time to pack any way.

It was an amazing experience. A bit of a road trip from Fez to great locations, with the heat and the distance it gets a bit tiring but that's what you would expect from travelling those distances. Our companion/guide Omar was super nice and made the trip much better.

Omar (our English speaking guide) and Driss (our driver) were very accommodating and picked us up near our riad. They also made sure no one in the group was left behind after dropping us off at the points of interest advertised in the tour. It was possibly my fault, not realizing it was more of a transportation tour, not actually an educational tour of the areas. It was more like a drop off/pick up tour. Omar explained what we would be seeing, prior to arriving at each destination and the pick-up time back to the shuttle. If you want to learn about the ruins while strolling around in the ruins, there are guides available for hire. In Meknes, we were dropped off for 3 hours. We chose to have a late lunch and had enough time to visit a nearby mosque. We would not do this tour again, but if you need transportation to get from Fes to these points of interest, I suggest you book this tour.

Nice trip visiting Volubilis and Meknes. We spent an amazing days and romane ruins are really astonishing. Mohammed was simply perfect! Really a nice guy, he provided us a lot of information and shared suggestions to take the most from the tour. Really recommended!!!

We stayed in Fes and decided to go on a trip with "Viaje a Fez" for some adventure time!! Abdul and Sharafa picked us up the closest they could get to our hostel with their van, and then together with other people we went through the itinerary, how sweet they were!! You really can tell they love their country, surroundings and culture facts, they were very open to share with us about society, religion, even if they didn't need to. We enjoyed a lot the trip, the locations and cities are totally worth it. And we recommend Abdul and Sharafa 100% for this, they made the trip very pleasant.

The travel company was very punctual, and the vehicle was very comfortable. The trip to Volubilis was good, and I enjoyed the visit. We hired the option with a guide, but in Volubilis the guide was just one of the guides that offer their services there, so maybe it is not needed to hire this service. With regards to the stop in Mulay Idris, we didn’t understand it, as the only thing we got to see was the mosk from outside (nothing much you could see) and we didn’t even walk around, so we thought it wasn’t that important as a stop. In Meknes, we had lunch in a very touristic restaurant (only foreigns eating there), which was the most expensive meal we had in our whole stay in Morocco, so not too happy about that. The mausoleum of Moulay Ismail was very beautiful and worth the visit, but the rest of the visit in the town didn’t really give us a great idea of the old town, as we just got a glimpse of it. In global, the service wss comfortable and the company was very available to any queries we had, but we thought the trip was maybe too short to be able to enjoy it properly, and we definitely wouldn’t recommend eating in that place and hope they don’t bring more foreigns there, as it gives a very bad image of the country.

Highly recommended trip, great day out with fellow travellers. Driver spoke good English & French. Make sure y oh head to Moulay Ismail tomb in Meknes , lovely & calm great mosaics . Volubis is really interesting and a great Roman city with interesting guides !

Great tour highly recommended. For Volubilis is better to hire a guide in advance because the tour doesn't include explanation to the site, and is a very interesting historical place. The tour includes a guide in Mekenes which was very good, also Nadia (another guide who was with us in the car) was very kind.

A very nice and worthwhile day trip. We liked Volubilis and Meknes in particular very much. Volubilis was impressive, and we also liked Meknes very much. However, we would have liked a little more time here to explore the city in peace. Our driver was very friendly, punctual, and reliable. On the way, he told us a lot about the history and the various places we visited. Overall, a varied and interesting excursion that we are happy to recommend.

Excellent day spent with Hassan. He was punctual and professional throughout the trip. On the road, he shared many interesting pieces of information during the journey to Meknès. He then dropped us off at a very good restaurant, and after the meal, the guide joined us for a walking tour of the city. Abdou shared information about his city as well as his passion for this place. I highly recommend this excursion without hesitation.

Today we made an excursion from Fez to visit Meknès and we loved it. The city is beautiful, full of history, charming corners and a very special atmosphere. Both the driver and the guides (Omar and Hisham) were excellent: very friendly, attentive and eager to share everything they know. Omar told us a lot of things unknown to us. Thanks to them we were able to get to know the culture better and enjoy the visit to the fullest. We really enjoyed the experience and definitely recommend it. Meknès surprised us for good and is totally worth coming back!!
