Our experience with Chaimae was wonderful! It was probably our favorite cooking class that we have done. She welcomed us into her home and let us cook a dish with her guidance. We made a veggie tagine since we are vegetarian and three side dishes. This was by far the best meal we had during our time in Morocco. I highly recommend it and her home is just a little bit out of the old city and is easy to reach with a $1-2 petite taxi.

Chaimae was a great cooking teacher on my flying visit to Fes! I learned how to cook beef tagine w prunes and almonds, and eggplant, potato, and carrot salad to go with it. She not only accommodated me on a very busy day (2 milestone occasions for her), she also bought me my first tagine! I would highly recommend Chaimae for her beautiful manner, her graciousness, her experience and skills.
We had such a wonderful and memorable experience taking a Moroccan cooking class with Chaimae in her home in Fez. From the moment we arrived, she was incredibly warm, welcoming, and hospitable, making us feel like we were visiting an old friend. We not only learned how to prepare delicious traditional Moroccan food, but also had wonderful conversations about Moroccan culture, traditions, and what it was like growing up in Morocco. Getting to know Chaimae and hearing her stories made the experience feel so authentic and personal. It was truly one of the highlights of our time in Fez, and we would highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Morocco!
Wow. What a magical experience getting to really understand how it is to cook like a Moroccan but also live like one to. I instantly felt like I belonged at home after only being there for a short time. I did the ordinary cooking class and was absolutely amazed at how I was able to cook fabulous dishes from scratch with clear help and instructions. We later got to enjoy the food and have some tea together talking about experiences in fez and how they are different to my home country England. We both found them to be quite different but our love for food remained the same! You have not properly been to fez until you have visited here. I would highly recommend to anyone for a great time and even better food ❤️
Beautiful and incredible experience!!! Learning the deep knowledge of the Moroccan cuisine from the hand of a very lovely person!!! A highly recommended activity if you are in love of the Moroccan culture as I am.
I had the privilege of taking a class by Samri. I learned how to cook appetizers including roasted abergines, cooked carrots, potatoes and the best chicken tajine I have ever eaten. Followed by hot tea and cookies. I also learned to preserve lemons used in many Moroccan dishes. After class we went to a locals collective in the Medina. Samri was patient, knowledgeable, and fun to learn and cook with. I look forward to return to Fes to take more classes from Samri.
We had a great time baking with Chaimae. It was great meeting her in the neighborhood and seeing her apartment and learning about her life. Her younger sister joined us later and it was great for my 14 yo son to converse with someone similar in age. It was a beautiful experience that made our time in Fes really fulfilling. We got to take the cookies we made to go home with us as souvenirs.
This was a highlight of my tour/trip! Chaimae made us feel like warmly welcomed friends into her home. She was so personable and accommodating. The meal prep was fun and the dinner delicious. . She was a woman who clearly loves her craft and home and gave me a very positive respect for her culture and country.
Chaimae provided a wonderful experience in visiting a communal bread oven and also showing us how to make 2 kinds of Moroccan bread. (Moroccan pancakes and Seminola bread) We also had the pleasure of meeting her auntie and sister during our time in her lovely home and both were such a joy to meet and get to know. Chaimae was extremely organized and had everything ready to go so we could jump right in! We took turns adding the ingredients to make the bread as well as kneading and punching the dough to make it perfect. The entire process from start to finish was fun and educational. We enjoyed the freshly baked breads served with jams, cheese and/or honey. She served mint and sage tea as an accompaniment and homemade Moroccan pastries that she made for us to enjoy! Simply divine! This bread making class and visit to the communal bread oven was one of my top experiences during my visit to Morocco. Chaimae also provided the recipes and explicit instructions on how to make the bread when we returned home and sent us pics and videos of our time making the bread with her. She also offers cooking classes which we were able to experience at the same time as our bread making class so that was double the fun and educational! I am so happy I found Chaimae and her cooking classes! I recommend her classes and experiences 100%! You will NOT be disappointed!
Go HUNGRY! Yassir was knowledgeable, hospitable and so generous. His English was great and his kindness greater. We wandered the maze of the medina tasting exotic morsels and ended up with a feast on the square. It was reassuring to know that no food goes to waste. Highly recommend!
Absolute gem!!!! Chaimae is an accomplished cook and an excellent hostess! The food was so tasty and we learned several new techniques. Chaimae was so very helpful. We wanted to take her with us! She also took us to a private spice merchant who was fascinating!
Chaimae’s cooking class was a once in a lifetime experience. Throughout the whole class Chaimae’s passion for food and your experience genuinely shone through. The tastes were amazing and the atmosphere so friendly and helpful. Chaimae was amazing and I very highly recommend that if you’re in Fes that you experience one her classes. Will definitely come back!
Samri was a great teacher and cultural liaison for her country. Commination with her was clear and always timely. The food we made was tasty and filling. She offers different options of cooking classes, so be sure to inquire with her about what's available. Not only does she offers cooking instruction, but she also offers other cultural experiences. Make sure to ask her about those too!
I had a solo class with Chimae and it was one of the highlights of my trip! She was so kind and happy to share with me all about Moroccan food and culture. She was kind enough to send the recipes to me after the fact so that I can make for my family in the future. She also took me to try different spices and fragrances at a local market. Lastly, the food was delicious!!!
We had a private cooking class with a lovely Moroccan lady in her home. It was a truly authentic experience and we could even see how local people live. We cooked a traditional Moroccan lunch/dinner (not the pastry class), but we were lucky to taste some sweets from the earlier group and they were absolutely delicious! The whole experience was wonderful. She welcomed us so warmly, explained everything in detail and put so much love and effort into it. After cooking, we also joined the spice tour. She took us there by taxi, showed us around and introduced us to different herbs and teas. we could smell, taste and learn about everything. She also helps you with anything you might need in Fès. She even organized a guide for us to visit the leather tanneries and much more. Overall, it was an excellent start to our stay in Fès. We would absolutely recommend doing this at the beginning of your Trip. it makes you feel more comfortable, welcomed and connected to the city. You’ll fall even more in love with Fès!
We had the pleasure of joining a cooking course with Chamae in Morocco, and it was an unforgettable experience. The class gave us the chance to truly dive into Moroccan cuisine. Chamae is not only highly knowledgeable, but also warm and welcoming. She explained each step with patience and passion, making it easy to follow along. The atmosphere was relaxed and fun, and at the same time we learned so much about the culture behind the food. Sitting down afterward to enjoy the meal we had prepared was the perfect ending to a wonderful day. We highly recommend this cooking course with Chamae to anyone who wants to experience authentic Moroccan hospitality and cuisine in the best way possible!
Chimae and her sisters were the kindest, most patient, wonderful teachers and helpers, making this experience fun, easy, and so enjoyable!! We made an entire traditional Moroccan meal and delighted in every bite of it! If you desire to learn how to cook Moroccan food, bread, or pastries, Bless Munatas is the best choice! In Fez, Morocco.
My wife and I have come to enjoy the cultural experiences that only come with being with locals and sharing a family meal. Chimae was incredibly hospitable, shared her knowledge of the Moroccan culture, and helped us prepare an incredible meal with our friends. Highly recommended. 10 out of 10!
This was my very first cooking class, as it was for several others in our group, and it turned out to be an absolutely wonderful experience that I highly recommend. The warmth of her hospitality, combined with her deep experience and genuine passion for what she does, were the perfect ingredients for our group of ten to enjoy an unforgettable culinary journey. We left her home not only satisfied but also eager to learn even more about Moroccan cuisine and to return for another taste of her authentic flavors
I had the most wonderful time with Chaimea! She was incredibly open and welcoming. I was invited into her home, where I had the pleasure of meeting her family. We shared stories about our shared passion for food, and she taught me how to make a delicious beef tagine with prunes, along with two traditional Moroccan salads. After the cooking workshop she also showed me a local spice shop which was very nice☺️ Beforehand, we had already been in touch, and she was so helpful in supporting me with my solo travels in Fes. She even recommended a friend of hers for a day tour it turned out to be one of the best experiences I’ve had in a long time. Thank you so much, Chaimea ❤️
We took a class with Bliss Munatas at a home in Fes. We asked specifically to make a bread and a pastry. She was very hands on and very instructive. Both dishes came out great and were very tasty. She was very accommodating in getting us to class and arranging a time that worked for us. She even called us a taxi after and recommended several local restaurants. We tried one and it was the best meal we’ve had in country. Highly recommend.
Our cooking class with Chaimae was one of the highlights of our stay in Fes. We chose to make Chicken Tajine and Pastilla, inspired by dishes we saw on her Instagram. Since the class takes place in her home, she provides an approximate address ahead of time and sends detailed meeting instructions the day before. Her neighborhood isn't a tourist area, which we absolutely loved. We were greeted by local children in French, and a nearby bakery even offered us some pastries. After meeting Chaimae, we stopped at an olive shop and a butcher to pick up fresh ingredients. She then welcomed us into her family home, where we cooked together. Chaimae explained all the spices and ingredients in detail, and we had such a great time chatting with her about Moroccan culture—festivals, traditional cooking tools, and more. She even sent her brother to help us buy a beautiful Tajine pot so we could recreate the recipes at home! After preparing lunch, her aunt and sister joined us, and we all enjoyed the meal together. They even taught us a few basic Arabic phrases, making the experience even more memorable. Chaimae’s family was incredibly warm and welcoming, and we felt lucky to get a glimpse into their daily life. After the class, we returned to the Medina with Chaimae and visited a local spice shop. The herbalist there was very knowledgeable and incredibly entertaining—we spent nearly an hour learning how herbs and oils are harvested. While we usually buy high-quality spices at home, the quality here was exceptional. We recommend not booking anything immediately after the cooking class so you can fully enjoy the extended spice tour. Chaimae is a wonderful young woman—friendly, easy to talk to, and genuinely caring throughout the experience. We highly recommend her cooking class!
We had the pleasure of bringing our clients to a cooking class with Chaimea in Fes, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, Chaimea welcomed us with warmth and authenticity. The class was not only fun and interactive, but also a deep dive into the rich culinary traditions of Morocco. Our clients were thrilled to learn, cook, and most importantly, taste the delicious dishes they helped prepare. It was a day full of laughter, learning, and incredible flavors. Thank you, Chaimea, for creating such a special memory for our clients — we will definitely be back "yayamoroccantous" Omar
My traveling buddy and I had the most amazing experience yesterday! We took a cooking class with Chef Chaimae who walked us through several Moroccan dishes sharing her special recipes and techniques, and in particular, the relationship of the food and the culture. This was followed by a beautiful meal of our creations in traditional Morrocan style. The experience was filled with lots of information and laughter. I highly recommend it.
Our day with Chaimaa learning how to cook tagine, Moroccan salads, and msemen was a day to remember and for sure to remember when home and cooking Moroccan food ❤️. The best kind of treasure to go home with. Chaimaa and her sous chef sister were a delight to learn from and hangout with for the afternoon. We not only learned about what was on the learning menu, but also about how to preserve lemons and make yeast for the msemen. We also had a conversation about the traditions of eating in a Moroccan home as we enjoyed eating our food. Such a wonderful afternoon and the pastries for dessert were perfection.
I would like share with you what we considered our biggest highlight of this Morocco adventure for past week Cooking class in Fez, please if you’re planning your trip around Morocco and happen to stop by in Fes don’t miss out on this experience Chaimae is one genuine, amazing, kick-ass woman who let us spend a day with her and her family, treated us like friends and showed us Fes as locals do. What she does she does with genuine passion and love. Even after teaching us how to make delicious local dishes(which were exceptional) she deciced to hang out with us, show us where she shops for spices, took us for tea and helped us navigate the city. It’s very rare to meet such a unique and heartwarming person with such a passion for everything she does so make sure you don’t give this experience a miss when you passing by Fes 1000/1000
Chaimea is an excellent teacher and great company! She tailored the class to my favourite bread and pastry dishes, and we enjoyed eating them together in her family home. She makes complex baking seem simple and patiently explains along the way. Unlike other cooking lessons which are more 'watch and learn', Chaimea will have you join her and prepare with your own hands. I can't recommend her enough.
A very relaxed day learning to cook my chosen dish Kofta Tagine plus two salads. Any questions were answered and the ingredients/process were well explained. Then came the eating, which was great. I was surprised how tasty it was, with how simple the dishes were with the help.
Chaemai was amazing. She showed me how to make delicious fresh Moroccan tagine and 3 starters. She even got her brother to buy me a tagine dish so that I got it at the locals price. She also treated me to tea and pastries afterwards. If you're looking for how the locals make their food and want to learn about the culture then I would recommend this.
A wonderful experience.. you can learn about Moroccan cuisine, how to do do bread and pastries.. but you can also have an immersion in Moroccan tradition.. you will be welcome from Chaimae.. her patient and her smile are the best ingredient of this experience.
We had an amazing experience at this Moroccan bread and pastry cooking class in Fes. Chaimae is a delightful, hospitable young woman who patiently shared with us the secrets of Moroccan cuisine. It was not only a simple cooking class, but a truly enjoyable cultural exchange, guided by a highly skilled and professional teacher who walked us through each step with care. Together, we prepared delicious food that she later served alongside an incredible Moroccan mint tea. An unforgettable and enriching experience that I highly recommend!
Authentic, and so local experience, more than expectations. If you really wanna live and feel the Moroccan hospitality, take a cuisine lesson from a Moroccan family and to Chaimae. The lessons were pretty good, and i had the opportunity to see and learn some bread and pastry makings, through the hands and touch of Moroccan peoples. By joining the lesson i really felt part of a Moroccan family. If you wanna have an authentic experience, outside the Classic touristic trips and stuff, join Chaimae lessons, It will worth it. Shukran to Chaimae and the family
This was absolutely amazing, Chaimae and her family are the absolute sweetest people ❤️ she and her family let us into their home with open arms and we were welcomed with tea and delicious pastries. We talked about morocco and where we are from and shared our thoughts and experiences. It felt like seeing a friend after a long time only this was the first time we ever met. After our conversation we started with the cooking class. We learned how to make traditional moroccan dishes. A chicken tagine, a vegetarian tagine, bread, salads and a delicious pastry. From start to finish we got to see everything. She explained everything perfectly and even had alternative ways we could make it at home if we didn’t have all the products. After everything we had an amazing dinner with everything we made. We had once again a lovely conversation and a connection for a lifetime. If you are in search of a cooking class this is the one ❤️
The workshop was amazing. Got a little lost on the way there but got helped very well. Very friendly and very helpful staff. Would definitely advise to try it out!!
The cooking class was very informative, structured and extremely organized - but most of all, the hospitality extended by the instructor, Chimae and family was beyond anything I’ve ever encountered - her willingness to impart her cooking knowledge; share her country’s history and culture - simply put - OUTSTANDING - highly recommend anyone visiting Fes, Morocco to look her up and take advantage of her workshop, plus you get to eat what you make!
Just got back from an amazing experience with the most hospitable of hosts. The family was very welcoming and made us feel completely at home. The communication leading up to the class was very helpful and Chaimae gave us plenty of helpful tips for our stay in Fes and its surroundings. The cooking class was well organized and the food delicious. Needless to say, we will certainly be trying out the recipes at home. All in all, a great way to enjoy an evening. It will make your trip to Fes even better.
If I could give a higher score then I most definitely would. The hospitality of Chaimae and her family is superb. It's like visiting family members who you haven't seen for ages. And the food is indescribable. An authentic experience which is a definite must if you want to experience fresh and delicious Moroccan cuisine.
I took a cooking workshop with my family and we had so much fun. We made a variety of dishes from scratch (moroccan bread, multiple salads, pastries, chicken tagines and some more) and the ladies accomodating us were so friendly and helpful. Our bellies were well fed and the food was full of so much flavor. They learned us a lot about the small details in preparing the dishes. Chaimae also speaks fluent English, so there was as good as no language barrier, which made the experience flow easily. The hospitality was also beyond amazing. Not only from Bless Munatas, but also surrounding neighbors, taxi, etc. They also offer a tour through the city, which I myself didn't take part of, but the rest of the family did. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would!
This is the morroccan cooking class you have been looking for! We absolutely loved our cooking class with Chama! Making traditional bread and sweet treats in her family home was such a great experience. The food was excellent, and she created such a welcoming environment. After we finished cooking we were able to sit and talk about morrocan culture while enjoying the company of her family.
It was one of our best experienced during our 4 weak marocco-trip. Chaimae is a wonderful host, we learned a lot about food and culture and i can warmly recommend this course to everyone who likes to get to know a local, friendly, intresting and interested person and anyone who wants to deeply get to know the foodculture.
The host Chaimae was extremely warm and welcoming! I felt like I was at home catching up with an old friend. We made tajine, zaalook and taktouka salad and it was all AMAZING!! I’ll definitely be trying the recipe again at home. I highly recommend this experience for travellers!
I love the conversation after cooking class. My friends and me had a very warm welcome from host and we learn a lot of cultural Morocco. Thank you.
We had a great time with Chamea. She taught us how to cook msemen a traditional dish at her house and then we ate all together ! It was a really nice experience, thank you :)
My friend and I had a lovely experience cooking with Samri. We cooked some very tasty dishes, followed by some wonderful conversation over dinner. Samir is authentic, kind, funny and we would certainly recommend the experience. Note we caught the sunset on our walk back to the Medina from her house through the Marinid Tombs - a short and very enjoyable walk - a perfect way to wrap up.
We wanted to add some spice to our trip itinerary with some activity with locals. So we booked a cheese cooking class here in Fes. Chaimae, the host, gave us warm welcome when we arrived her home. We learned cooking Moroccan style cheese and pancake. But what I like the most is the moment we had a nice talk with tea and pastry after cooking. Chaimae is very fun to talk with and she has a lot of things to exchange from local's insight. We learned about Moroccan life and culture. She explained a lot of things we want to know about Fes and Morocco.
We have just returned from a short break in Fez and I feel I must immediately write a review for the wonderful Chaimae who runs these cooking classes. The organisation and communication before the class was outstanding and Chaimae even came to our assistance when needing help with other trips and experiences which we had organised with other people (she speaks fantastic English, as well as other languages). By the time we met, I already felt like I was meeting up with a good friend. We first bought supplies from the local shops and market which was such an authentic experience, and so different from the more commercial Medina market in Fez. My son and I were then welcomed into Chaimae's home where again, we got to experience the 'real' Morocco and learn about the traditions and culture which very much involves hospitality and food. We had chosen to make traditional Moroccan pancakes and 'Marble Pastry' and we were joined by Chaimae's mother and treated to her cooking expertise. The whole experience was very hands-on and we both felt that we had learned a lot and were very proud of our final creations! After cooking, we sat in the beautiful dining area drinking traditional mint tea and eating some delicious pastries prepared by Chaimae's mother, as well as trying out our own homemade delicacies. It was an experience we shall always remember and which you cannot beat when travelling - interacting with the local people in their traditional way of life. I cannot thank Chaimae enough for her amazing hospitality and giving us such a very special Moroccan experience.
True home style cooking in a cute kitchen with the loveliest host. Samri is knowledgeable. The dishes are delicious and surprisingly simple to make. Fresh ingredients. Fabulous conversation. Love the tea and sweets too! Highly recommend.
We spent a fantastic family afternoon with Chaimae. She welcomed us into her family flat, and greeted us with some of her mother's delicious pastries (we were approaching Eid, and her mother was busy preparing for that so we didn't get to meet her) and started telling us about the way to make mint tea. Simple you think? Yes, but there are some fundamentals you should know to avoid the bacteria that the mint leaves can develop. And this set the tone. Chaimae is amazingly talkative and entertaining. Not only is this a great cooking class, even more, it is Chaimae giving visitors a behind-the-scenes account of their life. As the stories multiplied, the serious cooking got underway. We made half a dozen delicious salads, the best beef and prune tagine any of us had ever had, and we baked bread. All this done while Chaimae was sharing photos of her cousins wedding, stories of their summer holidays when all 54 cousins (that is only the men) and at least as many women all get together for 2 or 3 months. We left with our bellies and heads full. And we all, from ages 11 to 50+, loved our afternoon.
A Day of Culinary Delight in Fes From the moment I stepped into the vibrant atmosphere of the Cooking Class with Bread Workshop and Pastry in Fes, I knew I was in for a treat. The experience promised a full Moroccan day, and it delivered beyond expectations. The class began with a visit to a local market, a sensory overload where colors, scents, and sounds mingled to create a bustling tableau of Moroccan life. Our guide was adept at picking the freshest ingredients, sharing tips that would be invaluable for any aspiring cook. Back at the workshop, the air was rich with the aroma of spices and baking bread. The hands-on approach meant that we were not just observers but active participants in the creation of our meals. The bread workshop was particularly enlightening, revealing the secrets behind the perfect Moroccan breakfast. But it wasn’t just about bread; the pastry class introduced us to traditional Moroccan sweets, each more delightful than the last. The variety of dishes we prepared was impressive, showcasing the depth and diversity of Moroccan cuisine. Perhaps the most enchanting part of the day was learning to prepare Moroccan tea. It’s an art form in itself, and the ritual added a touch of magic to the experience. The instructors were knowledgeable, patient, and passionate, making the complex seem simple and the daunting, doable. They navigated through language barriers with ease, offering instructions in Arabic, English, and French. As the day wound down, we sat to enjoy the fruits of our labor. The food tasted all the better for having been made with our own hands, and the sense of accomplishment was the cherry on top.
that cooking class ... was an amazing experience .. It was a hands-on experience filled with laughter, delicious aromas, and valuable culinary insights. i recommend 👏
