We had the best day in Fes cooking with Noor. She taught us the special touches that bring the best from the food, and the importance of combinations of ingredients. We did the full experience which allowed us to spend most of the day with Noor, talking about her culture and our culture, in addition to what we learned about the food. It was such a treat to be able to spend the day with her and learn about Morocco and Moroccan cuisine. It was a small group with a very personal touch. Would highly recommend!! So glad we found her. Thank you Noor!!

Nour and her mother Nzaha are lovely hosts and our 1/2 day spent cooking, visiting and eating with them at their home was a delight. While Moroccan cooking isn’t necessarily complicated, we appreciated in this class learning more about the different cooking and baking techniques, all the varied spices and ingredients used for different purposes, and the way typical Moroccans prepare food and what they eat. The carrot salad we learned to make was a standout dish, but everything was delicious. Nour’s English is excellent too. We made and ate lots and lots of food in this class, so come hungry.
What an extraordinarily special experience. As a chef, I make it a point to seek out cooking classes wherever I travel, and this one truly stands apart. The class is led by the exceptionally talented Nzaha, alongside her wonderful daughter Nour, who ensures everything runs seamlessly with her thoughtful coordination and translation. From the moment we were collected at our hotel, guided through the vibrant market, and welcomed into their beautifully renovated family riad, it was clear we were being received as guests rather than customers. We were made to feel genuinely part of the family. Throughout the afternoon, we prepared a stunning array of dishes, each accompanied by invaluable insights and techniques to elevate their flavors. Nzaha’s background in baking for events was evident in her exquisite selection of homemade cookies—each one flawless and truly deserving of accolades. Equally memorable were the gentle, meaningful conversations that wove through the experience, offering a glimpse into life in Morocco. It was an afternoon filled with warmth, generosity, and authenticity—one we will cherish for a long time.
Cooking with Nour and her mother was a truly unique and special experience. My daughter and I took this class and agreed it was one of the highlights of the trip. They welcomed us into their home and taught us some classic recipes. The food was delicious and Nour and her mom were so warm and welcoming. I highly recommend this experience!
This was a fantastic cultural experience, as well as an amazing culinary experience. The atmosphere is safe and fun. We made and ate great Moroccan food. What a great time! Highly recommend!
My husband and I spent a wonderful 4 hours (plus extra hour due to a unexpected thunderstorm) with Nour and her Mum. We had mint tea and homemade cakes. We then cooked a full 3 course meal which we then shared. It's a great way to learn true moroccan recipes with a family's worth of experience. Everything was well explained and it was a real treat to spend time with Nour and her Mum. I can't recommend this experience enough if you're looking for a true experience of moroccan cooking.
We had an absolutely amazing experience with Nezha and her family! She personally came to pick us up from where we were staying and guided us to her beautiful home — such a warm and thoughtful welcome. Communication was effortless from the start. Her daughter, Nour Houda, and the whole family welcomed us with refreshing mint tea and delicious Moroccan pastries. During the cooking class for our group of students, they paid incredible attention to everyone, making sure each person learned and felt included. They guided us step by step through preparing a variety of dishes, from starters to beef dishes and desserts, with patience and care. The home itself is stunning — full of charm, comfort, and authentic Moroccan vibes. I wholeheartedly recommend booking this experience with Nezha’s family. Don’t hesitate — it’s an unforgettable cultural and culinary journey that truly values every guest!
An unforgettable day of cooking with Nzaha and her daughter Nour. We started and 10 and left with our tummies full at 2h45 but only because we had to! We started the day with the most beautiful biscuits and mint tea and then the cooking started. We prepared a beef and prune tagine, an aubergine and coriander side, a bean and split pea soup, some delicious Moroccan biscuits with just a little bit of sugar (!!) and then some fresh oranges with cinnamon. We then all sat down together - just the four of us, and had lunch. Perfect in every way.
This was one of the highlights of our trip! Noor and her mother are wonderful hosts and it was such an immersive experience.
One of the best cooking classes we have ever done! Nour and her mom are so sweet - we really enjoyed spending time with them in their beautiful home, cooking and laughing together! We made bissara soup, pastilla pies, kefta tagine, and spiced oranges for dessert. We were also treated to Nour's mother's homemade pastries and breads as well as delicious tea. Highly recommend!
We had a really great experience. We made 2 tagines, msemmem (very fun), spicy eggplant, bayssara soup, and an orange dessert. We also started off the session by making Moroccan tea and enjoying homemade cookies. The whole thing was about 4.5hrs. It was nice to be able to choose what we made and that they could be flexible with the scheduling. A sweet mother daughter team.
I loved the cooking class with Noor and Nzaha. Very fun to learn about the food and culture and then eat a delicious meal. Really great value
This was such a fun and special experience! To be able to learn about this family, share their home and recipes and enjoy the best meal of our trip together was a highlight of our vacation. Nour and her mother are wonderful. If you have a chance to spend an afternoon cooking with them, it will be a treasured experience you won’t soon forget! Thank you Nour and Nzaha, I hope to see you again soon!
We had a wonderful cooking class with Nour and her mother Nzaha. It was such a pleasure to meet them and we had a wonderful time cooking together and talking about so many things. The food was very delicious and we ate definitely the best tajine of our morocco trip! We can highly recommend their cooking class. Shukran Nour & Nzaha!
If you’re looking up different cooking experiences and not sure which one to choose, then you can stop looking – this is the best cooking experience I’ve had! My 15 year old son and I knocked on the door at 10am and left feeing revitalised just after 2pm… 👉 First, the cooking – we learnt how to make lots of different dishes in a way to have them all come together at the right time for lunch. The way the experience is set up can be completely replicated in your own home, and I am confident that we will be able to make a Moroccan feast when we get back (especially as all the recipes we cooked were sent to us straight away – no excuses!). We did every step of the cooking together, and watched what was happening on the stove at each stage, so we really learnt how to do it. 👉 Next, the eating – we started with tea and biscuits (though to call them biscuits doesn’t do justice to the incredible pastry home made creations we were given) which as you can tell were incredible. We then ate lunch at the end of our experience and had by far the best meal of the holiday – Moroccan soup, salads, tagine full of well balanced flavours and perfectly cooked followed by a refreshing dessert of oranges and cinnamon. 👉 Last but not least, the company – it was truly a privilege to be invited into Nour and Nazha’s home, share stories with them and experience genuine local hospitality. In my experiences of travelling you don’t often get to see this when visiting somewhere for just a few days, and we certainly didn’t experience this with any of the other activities we did in Fes or general interactions in the medina. We were there for over 4 hours and conversation flowed (even with my 15 year old son which any parent of teens will appreciate is not easy!). The world needs more people like Nour and Nazha and I hope that this review in a small way helps to give something back after all the kindness and warmth they showed us 😊
Great experience! Very welcoming, authentic food, discovered a lot of new flavours and techniques. An unexpected bonus: an absolutely breathtaking view on the entire medina! Defenitely recommended!
We are a family group of 4 aged 19-80, and we all loved this experience. It was very special to be invited into their beautiful home and learn how to cook delicious Moroccan food. Mother and daughter were both so lovely and we really enjoyed chatting to Nour about life and Morocco and food! It was educational and a wonderful experience that we won’t forget!
We enjoyed very much our time with Nzaha and Nour, her daughter. We started with shopping in the Souk, ingredients presentation, tea and homemade cookies and a lot of talking:) Nour speaks English very well and we had an amazing experience talking about the differences between our cultures, religions, educations, even politics. Then we went on to actually cook the tagines: chicken with olives and lemon and beef with sweet plums. They ended up being very tasty and flavourful. The price was more than decent, considering the market average. All being said, I would definitely repeat the experience if I had the choice.
What a fantastic experience. I was welcomed into the house of Nour and her beautiful mother Nzaha, and what an amazing experience it was. The stunning house is a secret behind a brown door, you have no idea what you’re walking into!! I spent hours talking with Nour regarding her life and experiences in Fes, and with her mother Nzaha we cooked the most delicious cous cous meal, with chicken, vegetables, chickpeas and the most spectacular onions basted in spices and cooked with raisins. Better than any food we’ve had in any restaurant. Nzaha has also worked as a pastry chef, and she had baked the most beautiful selection of Moroccan sweets and biscuits. We made mint tea and enjoyed it with the sweets. We were so full of food when it was time to leave. Such a lovely time, I can’t recommend this experience enough, it had been a highlight of our time in Morocco!! Don’t miss it!
We spent a beautiful morning in the company of Nour and his mother Nzaha. After buying the last ingredients together at the local market, we walked through the streets of the Medina until we arrived at their beautiful Dar (ask them to show you the terrace!). My boyfriend and I are vegetarians and Nzaha came up with a seasonal vegetarian menu for us: in a family atmosphere, with fresh vegetables, spices, eggs, and pulses, we cooked together a complete meal with a soup, two typical Moroccan starters (which I had read about in cookery articles but could not find on the premises during our holiday), a Tajin made with fresh peas and eggs, and a simple dessert to finish the meal... forget the classic salads and tajines you have already tried in restaurants! Needless to say, everything was delicious. It was very nice to cook together and talk about cooking while comparing our different culinary cultures, and Nour and Nzaha are kind and very sweet. Nour then sent us PDFs of the recipes, which was very convenient so during the lesson we could concentrate on the preparations without having to take notes. Of the many cooking classes you can find in Fez this one is 100% recommended. Many thanks to Nour and Nzaha!
We had such a wonderful experience at this cooking class with Nour and her mother! From the moment we arrived at their beautiful home, we felt genuinely welcomed. Even though we booked at the last minute, they graciously arranged for us to cook a traditional pastilla—which turned out absolutely delicious! Before the class started, they greeted us with homemade cookies and refreshing mint tea, setting the tone for a warm and relaxed afternoon. The class itself was incredibly well-organized, and both Nour and her mother were patient, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience so enjoyable. It felt less like a formal class and more like cooking with family. I would highly recommend booking this class while visiting Fes—it was honestly the best part of our trip!
Extraordinary, they welcomed us with a lot of love, the translation and the willingness of Nour to explain everything in great detail felt like being with family. We learned to make desserts and Moroccan tea, and it was definitely a wonderful experience.
The cooking class was really great: everything we prepared was delicious, and honestly the best tagine enjoyed during our entire trip to Morocco! But it’s more than just a cooking class. Spending this time with Nour and his mother Nzaha in their family home makes the experience deeply human and enriching. We share, we exchange, we learn as much about Moroccan culture as about cooking. Entering a medina’s house gives a very special dimension to the experience: behind these walls, which seem so thick and mysterious, we discover warmth, generosity and a magical family life! Thank you again for this welcome and this wonderful moment of sharing ❤️
I highly recommend! Friendly entertainers and good recipes in a beautiful historic house.
Looking for new inspirations for my catering service, I took the cooking class with Nour and his mom Nzaha. Both women are of incredible kindness and gentleness. I felt right now. I learned so much about Moroccan cuisine and culture. The course and very well organized and the dishes we prepared were just succulent..it was a real feast! The hours have passed too quickly in this warm and family atmosphere! I recommend 100%!
We stayed in the beautiful Riad of Nzaha and her daughter Nour, we prepared a wonderful dinner together. Really nice and pleasant experience, exceptional guests and magnificent cooks! We felt the warmth of a beautiful family and the strength of two women who through work, confrontation with people and curiosity, seek emancipation in a country of a thousand facets! Experience not to be missed!
You want to discover traditional recipes. You found exactly "The Place To be" in a simple setting Beautiful. Do not wait and book now to participate in this beautiful culinary experience to share as a couple or family! Home of the most pleasant 😋
I advise anyone looking for an immersive experience in Fez, to get in touch with Mrs. Nazha and her daughter Nour. Both they are very competent and very friendly. My group of people were greeted with a big smile. Nour speaks French and English very well and translates everything his mother explains during the process of creating dishes. Their home is very well located having the necessary space to accommodate a dozen people. I highly recommend
An unforgettable experience in Fez! We cooked with Nazha and Nour, two lovely, welcoming and passionate people. Beyond cooking, it was a real moment of sharing: we discussed a lot, exchanged on culture, daily life and Moroccan traditions. The meal we prepared together was delicious, but it is especially the smiles and kindness of Nazha and Nour that we will remember. A sincere and humane moment — thank you again to them! Lola.
Really enjoyable and interesting experience! Nour and Nzaha really welcomed us. Always very smiling and kind. I recommend this workshop! We had the choice of dishes, everything is well explained and everything is done with good heart. Many thanks Nour and Nzaha. 🙏
A great experience, not only because Moroccan cuisine is impressive, but because both Nour and his Mother were excellent hosts. The phenomenal class, spectacular food and unparalleled company.
A good time sharing with Nour and his mom We were able to participate and the food a delight! Thank you both for this warm welcome and beautiful experience...
A magical moment of sharing between two different cultures filled with benevolence. We learned 2 tagines as well as a Moroccan dessert, everything was excellent. Nour and his mom share their knowledge of Moroccan cuisine with passion and are caring! The experience begins with a welcome with homemade pastries and Moroccan tea (which you learn to make) followed by a discussion and then learning about spices and finally, we get our hands on the dough so that we can then taste. Thank you for this timeless moment!
Thank you to Nour and his mom for this unforgettable moment of sharing. The welcome, the course and the excellent meal. Everything was perfect! I recommend without hesitation.
We were very well received by Nour and his mom in their riad. We cooked together authentic and delicious recipes especially an excellent lamb and prune tagine. Very nice experience.
This moment was exceptional. The kindness of Nour and his mom, their warm welcome in their Riad. They even respected my husband's dietary constraints. And it’s not just a cooking class we shared but a slice of their lives. We have a small break on the roof terrace of the Riad which offers a superb view of Fez. I highly recommend this time to share with Nour and his mom. Thank you 2
in a typical Riad in the medina of Fes. Nour and his lovely mom are doing their utmost to make this moment unforgettable We recommend
