My husband and I recently did the 4-day private desert tour from Fes to Marrakech with Morocco Fabulous Travel. It was easily one of the highlights of our two weeks in Morocco. We chose the private tour rather than joining a group, and I'm glad we did. We had a very comfortable Toyota Land Cruiser Prado to ourselves, which meant we could stop when we wanted, take our time and enjoy the journey without feeling rushed. It was great having that flexibility. One of the highlights for me was visiting a nomad family in the Merzouga desert. Mustafa took us off the beaten track, where we were welcomed into the tent and offered mint tea and biscuits. Sitting there, surrounded by the dunes with no one around, was an amazing experience. It's not something we would have found on our own. The scenery along the way was fantastic, but what really made the trip was Mustafa. He was friendly, patient and knowledgeable, and had a great sense of humour. We learned a lot about Moroccan culture, history and everyday life through our conversations with him. He was also very accommodating, always happy to adjust our stops and answer my plethora of questions. We felt comfortable and safe with him throughout the journey, including winding roads through the Atlas mountains. After spending four days together, Mustafa felt more like a friend than a tour guide. He clearly enjoys what he does, and his hospitality made a big difference to our experience. If you're thinking about doing the desert tour from Fes to Marrakech, I'd definitely recommend Morocco Fabulous Travel. The private tour costs a little more, but in our opinion it's well worth it. And a big thank you to Mustafa for looking after us so well and showing us Morocco. We enjoyed the experience and will look back on our trip with fond memories!

Day 1
1
Begin your 4-day desert tour from Fes to Marrakech by getting picked up from your hotel or riad in Fes in the morning. Leave the city and head towards Ifrane.
In Ifrane, take a short 15-minute break and have a cup of coffee before continuing to the cedar forest of Azrou in the Middle Atlas Mountains.
In the cedar forest of Azrou, you'll get the chance to see the Barbary monkeys.
Drive to Merzouga via Midelt and along the Ziz Valley, a valley full of palm trees.
In the afternoon, reach Merzouga and enjoy your stay at a beautiful riad with stunning views of the golden sand dunes surrounding the town.
Day 2
2
Start your day of exploration in the Merzouga desert with a delightful breakfast at your riad.
Your first destination is the small town of Khamlia, where you can listen to a unique style of music called Gnawa. The locals, originally from South African countries, play this captivating music.
Next, you'll embark on an off-road drive to M'Fis, an abandoned village that once had Galena mines. Galena is a mineral used in the production of Mascara.
During your adventure, you'll have the chance to learn about the nomadic lifestyle of a family living near the borders behind the Erg Chebbi Dunes. They invite you into one of their traditional Berber tents for a cup of tea. It's fascinating to discover how this ethnic group has chosen to live differently, far away from civilization.
In the afternoon, get ready for an exciting camel ride across the towering dunes of Merzouga to your desert camp. Along the way, you'll stop on a high dune to experience sandboarding while witnessing a breathtaking sunset. After dinner, unwind around a cozy campfire beneath the twinkling starry sky. The camp staff will play drums and happily teach you how to play them, adding to the enchantment of the night. Enjoy a truly magical experience.
Day 3
3
Today, it's a good idea to wake up early to see a beautiful sunrise. After that, enjoy a tasty breakfast at your camp in the desert.
Then, you'll go on a fun trip by car to different places like Rissani, Erfoud, Tinghir, and Todra Gorge, on your way to Dades Gorge. If it happens to be a market day in Rissani (Sunday, Tuesday, or Thursday), you can choose to visit a traditional Moroccan market. It's a great way to experience the local culture and see how people live there. You'll find traditional crafts, spices, and street food that you can't easily find anywhere else.
You'll also have other stops along the way to take nice pictures and learn about the local people and their customs.
In the afternoon, you'll arrive at Dades Gorge, where your hotel for the night is waiting. You'll have dinner and spend the night at the hotel.
Day 4
4
After a yummy breakfast at your hotel, you'll have the chance to explore the area. Then, you'll drive on the road with lots of Kasbahs to Ouarzazate.
In Ouarzazate, you have an option to visit the Atlas Studios or just take some pictures from outside.
Explore the Ait Ben Hadou Kasbah, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It's famous because many movies like Gladiator, Prince of Persia, and Game of Thrones were filmed there.
Once you've had a delicious lunch, your journey will continue as you travel to Marrakech, crossing the amazing High Atlas Mountains. Along the way, you'll pass through several lovely Moroccan Berber villages. You'll have many stops during the trip.
Finally, your 4-day tour from Fes to Marrakech will end when we drop you off at your accommodation in Marrakech.

Great experience one our 4 day trip from Fez to Marrakesh with Zaid. He took good care of us and was known by so many people everywhere we went. Also from the dessert and knows it like the back of his hand. Travel accommodations were all smooth and taken care of. A few of the days felt like we could’ve added another stop or two, but glad we booked with Morocco Fabulous and would do it again!
Zaid our tour guide was excellent, encouraged questions about the Sahara, Atlas Mountains, culture, religion, anything and was full of great information. Got off the beaten path at times to see sites and local people we wouldn’t have otherwise. Highly recommend both Zaid and the tour.
What an amazing and unforgettable experience! We spent five incredible days exploring Morocco with our wonderful driver and guide, Ibrahim Yakoubi, and it truly exceeded our expectations. Our journey took us through some of Morocco’s most beautiful destinations, including Chefchaouen, Fez, Merzouga, and the Dades Valley. Along the way, Ibrahim made sure we had plenty of opportunities to stop, admire the breathtaking landscapes, take photos, and appreciate the country’s incredible culture and natural beauty. One of the best surprises was discovering that Ibrahim speaks Spanish! Being from Mexico, we initially expected to communicate in English, so this made the entire experience even more comfortable, personal, and enjoyable. A special thank you to Ibrahim, who made our journey so memorable. Having someone guide us throughout the trip allowed us to truly relax and enjoy every destination without worrying about the logistics. I highly recommend this agency, especially if, like me, you sometimes want a break from planning itineraries, transportation, and all the little details that come with traveling. Everything was taken care of, making the experience incredibly convenient and stress-free. If you’re planning a trip to Morocco, I highly recommend requesting Ibrahim Yakoubi as your driver and guide. It’s a wonderful way to discover this beautiful country!
An excellent experience! We had the opportunity to travel with Ibrahim Yakoubide to several destinations in Morocco, including Chefchaouen, Fez, and the desert, and throughout the entire journey he proved to be an exceptional driver. He was always punctual, professional, friendly, and very attentive to our needs. We felt safe and comfortable during every journey, even on the longer trips. In addition to being an excellent driver, he was always willing to help us and made every transfer a pleasant experience. He also gave us great recommendations and useful tips for each destination, which made our trip even more enjoyable! We highly recommend him to anyone traveling around Morocco. Thank you, Ibrahim, for making our trip such a wonderful experience!
We had a terrific time from start to finish with Hassan Oumouch. In the first few minutes he educated us on Morocco and did so along our 5 days with him. He was very open to answer any additional questions from us on pretty much whatever we had on our minds. Hassan is very kind, funny, smart and great with kids of every you are looking for a family trip. The pick ups, drive, stops and drop offs were always smooth. Besides cheating to beat me on the rock and bottle game although in a beautiful setting in the Atlas Mountains, I give Hassan a 6 star, 110% rating and recommend him to anyone looking to do this trip. On top of having an awesome 5 day trip we ended up making a great friend. As for the stays and people along the way, all the activities were worth it and some are experiences we will never forget. We sleep two nights in the desert camps (caravanserai) which permitted us to see one beautiful sunset and sunrise. The food and the people were excellent. Rachid speaks an amazing 8 languages which is quite impressive. Then we slept at Dar Rihana in Dades where Mohamed was extremely nice and generous. This was the best meal we had in our whole two weeks in Morocco. Our last night was at Ksar Ben Youssef which was very nice although it was a buffet style dinner and breakfast which was very different from our different experiences and was a bit further out from downtown Ourzazate.j
By far the best holiday experience and the best tour guide were ever had! My friends and I booked the private deluxe desert tour after doing a lot of research on which company to go with. From the very start we felt completely taken care of by Ibrahim Bsm. He was very knowledgeable, kind and considerate and happily answered all of our questions (even the slightly silly ones 😅). He was completely professional the entire trip but it also felt like we were road tripping with an old friend and he was very easy to get along with and very passionate about teaching us the local history and culture. All of the accommodation and meals were amazing and far exceeded our expectations. The camel ride during the sunset was perfectly organised and such a memorable experience. We also loved listening to the Berber drumming in the evenings and dancing around the fire. We loved every place that we got to visit and the different stops along the way to take in the gorgeous views of the desert and mountains. We felt so lucky to be able to experience Moroccan culture in this way and honestly didn't want the tour to end. If I ever come back I would definitely book with them again and would recommend them to anyone wanting excellent tour guides and thoughtfully planned experiences.
It was a wonderful 4-day trip with Zaid. The authentic day in the desert made it very special. We couldn't do the shared tour but the upgrade to the private tour was worth it. Great accomodations! The booking was very easy and uncomplicated.
I booked the shared 4-day small group desert tour from Fez to Marrakech with Morocco Fabulous Travel so that I could have a full day in the Merzouga desert area and I am so glad I did. The tour was really well organised; transport provided from Fez was a Mercedes van which was perfect for the 5 on the tour. It was comfortable, had air conditioning and plenty of room for luggage. The accommodation was very comfortable (I chose camping with the 'luxury' of private toilet and shower); over the 4 days the food was a bit repetitive but ok. Our driver and guide Mustafa, was a super capable local who had a good command of English. He was a good driver, friendly, very accommodating, and punctual. The camel riding into the dunes was an experience! Perhaps predictably uncomfortable but also very memorable! I particularly loved the sunrises over the Sahara and the 4WD day exploring the area and riding the dunes. Overall, the variety of experiences and ever-changing landscapes made for a very memorable trip.
We did the 4-day Marrakech to Fes desert tour. Our guide Ismail made the experience so enjoyable - he was very knowledgeable, a great spirit, as well as a good signer! There is plenty of driving but you can essentially go at your own pace and all the stops we took were genuinely worthwhile. Highlights have to be the Camel rides and staying in the desert camp with songs around the campfire and under the stars. A very memorable trip.
Said Benemar was our guide and he was excellent. His English was very good and he had a great sense of humor. He taught us a lot about the Berber nomad culture. . We went from Fès to Marrakech thru the Sahara Desert where he lives. He was very knowledgeable about the area and culture. This 4 days tour was great.
We had an absolute blast on our 4-Day Authentic Desert Tour from Fes to Marrakech, and it was all thanks to our incredible guide, Hassan Alhiane. Hassan is hands-down the best and most honest guide you could ask for. Right from the start, we felt completely safe, comfortable, and well looked after. His driving was smooth and reassuring, especially across the long stretches and winding roads through the mountains. What truly sets Hassan apart is his authenticity and integrity. We never felt rushed at any stop, and he never pushed us toward tourist traps or pressure-sales shops. Instead, he made sure we had genuine, memorable experiences and gave us the space to truly take in the stunning landscapes of Morocco at our own pace. If you are planning a trip from Fes to Marrakech, do yourself a favor and request Hassan Alhiane. We couldn't have asked for a better guide or driver! 10/10 recommendation!
Amazing unforgettable trip thru the Atlas Mountains and the Sahara Desert! Beautiful views, amazing culture, and kind people. Our driver Said Benamar was the best!!!!! So informative, kind, funny, and on timely. One of the many highlights was going to Said’s Village and having tea with his family. What an honor. Many thanks to Said Benamar for sharing his culture with us!
We had a wonderful time with Said Benamar as our guide and private driver . He picked us up in Fes and drove us for 4 days to Marrakech. He was friendly, knowledgeable on the Moroccan culture and made sure we had the best time. He shared with us a special moment with his family in the Sahara desert who welcomed us for tea. I would highly recommend Morroco fabulous travel .
What a great experience! Said B was our our exceptional guide. He was knowledgeable, fun and made us always feel at home in his country and each community we visited. A trip of a lifetime! Too many great experiences to mention.
Said Benamar was an amazing guide. He was very knowledgeable and had a great sense of humor. He made this trip extra memorable. I would highly recommend.
We had an absolutely wonderful time on this trip! We booked this as a part of our 2 week long vacation to Morocco and I can certainly say it was the highlight of our stay. If you want to experience more than tourist traps and actually get to experience the variety of the country, then this is a really good option. We got to go on the sand dunes in the desert, ride on camels (actually pretty long ride, over an hour in total), drink tea with local nomad people, dance and learn to play the traditional castaniettes, among a lot of other things. The stops at riad hotels along the way felt effortlessly premium, and if you were to book the places on your own, you probably wouldn't get such a good deal on them. The first riad was absolutely breathtaking - even people who were staying in a 5 star hotel in Fes said this was even better than their stay there. Our tour guide, Said, spoke really good English, kept up the mood of the passangers on longer bus rides, made sure we got enough photo opportunities, shared a bit of history of the places we were visiting and just generally was a thoughful and polite guide. Thanks for making it happen! PS make sure you bring some cash to tip people along the way, as it's a custom in Morocco (for example to the people who let you feed the monkeys at a roadside stop) PPS everything was always on time :D
Had a wonderful time on the desert trip! The Sahara desert exploration was definately the highlight of the trip with Land Cruisers and camels. Everything was on point and timely, the driver and guide were very friendly and helpful.
We had an amazing 5-day trip from Fes to Marrakech with a group of 30 people. Everything was punctual, the tour guide was very friendly and welcoming and the bus driver was very good. The desert part was the highlight with a camel ride and campfire with musicians under the starry sky. The first accommodations and food were top notch! Everything was definitely worth it! Moroccan nature is incredible! Thank you!
Great experience: a lot of activities, great hotels and meals, safe and smooth driving, and generally time well spent. Our guide Zaid is very knowledgeable, friendly and fun.
Would definitely recommend, so many amazing sights and experiences. Our tour guide Zayd was always in a good mood and helpful. Everything was planned for us so I didn't need to worry about anything. Our wishes about what time to leave and how many stops to do where always taken into account, even though we were a big group. Unforgettable!
The trip was well organized with detailed itenerary and stops layed out throughout the road. The guide Zaid was quite helpfull and accomodated all the bathroom stops in the group he also gave introductions about every place we are going through. The guide managed to include and engage with the 32 people in the bus none of us felt left out. The driver was really professional. We had some people who get nauses in the bus but none of them felt bad in the trip. The driver somehow managed to go through really rough cuves smoothly without making anyone feel dizy. I would for sure recomend using their services.
We had an incredible tour across places in Morocco that we would've never seen if it wasn't for this amazing local team. The organization was fantastic, giving us clear plans for each day's and at the same time a lot of flexibility to meet everyone's requests. A huge thanks to our Guide, Driver and Helper, always kind and friendly. They really made me fall in love with Morocco and I will definitely visit this country again in the future.
Overall, the tour was great, especially the Sahara, which was definitely the highlight! However, we had accommodation issues twice (missing rooms or extra beds). Ouarzazate was a complete disaster. They changed our agreed hotel, and the replacement was unacceptable: moldy, rusty, extremely low-quality rooms. Dinner was a disaster, service was terrible, and the staff were rude. That hotel shouldn’t even be in business, let alone hosting tourists. What a shame! I highly recommend skipping Ouarzazate entirely.
The 4 day trip from Fes to Marrakech via Merzouga was easily the most valuable and memorable guided trip I’ve ever taken. Pickup in Fes was easy to locate. The size of my group was a total of 7 passengers (including me) and we had a very comfortable sprinter van with nice seats, AC etc. My tour group was full of kind, like-minded people who were all looking for an experience that was authentic, adventurous and comfortable. Our tour guide, Mohamed Yakoubi, provided an amazing experience every day! He was proactive about advising us about tipping and interacting with people at tourist destinations. As someone who raise and/or lived in multiple locations we visited, he was able to provide us with authentic details and experiences. To have a tour guide who is Berber and easy to speak with (as he is incredibly friendly and knows a myriad of languages!), was perhaps one of the most valuable resources for learning about the history, lifestyles, beliefs and cultures of the people and places we explored. Beyond the “big” experiences that attracted me to this tour, like seeing the monkeys in Ifrane, adventuring in the dunes of Erg Chebbi and walking through Aït Benhaddou, there were many valuable moments that gave a lot of “heart and soul” to our time on the journey. Some of those experiences include meeting the nomadic family on the outskirts of the Sahara and seeing how they lived. They were incredibly hospitable and live humble lives, yet seem very happy. Mohamed had the wonderful idea of purchasing treats and snacks for the children of the community so throughout our time there, we handed out candy and yogurt to many children, who were very excited! We also made a last minute stop that I’ll never forget. While approaching to Todra Gorge, Mohamed shared with us that most true Berber rugs were from this town and made by Berber women of all ages, who often choose to live on their own when they are older. When I was discussing with him that I was planning to buy a rug in Marrakech, but wanted to make sure it was authentic and the money truly supported the artisans, he made a quick phone call and brought our group to a small home-store of local female rug makers. They shared tea with us, explained the process, showed us how they make yarn, weave and embroider. Then, they showed us about 2 dozen rugs (a fraction of their inventory), and then we were able to directly negotiate price with the woman who made the rug. By far, this experience was more enriching, meaningful and valuable than haggling for a rug (likely made in china) with men in the Medinas of Marrakech, Fes, etc. I’m very grateful to have a tour guide who was willing to be flexible with the itinerary and was well enough connected to be able to create this experience with only 5-minutes notice. To detail the highlight of the trip - the Sahara experience! When we arrived, we were brought to the camels for our sunset ride over the dunes of Erg Chebbi to our camp. The camel ride was an amazing experience but was not the most comfortable and when the camels stand up and sit down, they are very tall, so it may feel difficult to stay seated for people with less upper arm strength. In general, the camels were a once-in-a-lifetime type of experience that I’d recommend! My group chose to ride quads the next morning. For an additional $50 or so, this was a really wonderful experience, too! The desert camp was very comfortable. As a solo woman, I was originally a bit more aware that a tent is likely not as secure as spaces I normally stay in while traveling by myself. However, these tents did lock and I felt safe for the entire experience there. As I was the only one who originally signed up to stay at the camp for 2 nights, I requested to switch to the hotel with the rest of my group (due to ease and consistency more than anything) Morocco Fabulous was able to make this change quickly and at no extra fee, which I was very grateful for! Overall, this experience was one of the most valuable experiences I could have wished for (especially at the price we paid for it!) - i highly recommend this trip to anyone who is looking to travel in comfort but be exposed to authentic experiences. 🤍
Our 4-day tour from Fes to Marrakech was an unforgettable experience. Everything was very well organised, punctual, professional, and with great attention to everything we needed. A special mention to our guide, Mohamed Yakoubi, who speaks both Spanish and English. He was always attentive, friendly, and made us feel comfortable throughout the trip. We especially appreciated that we never felt pressured to buy anything. He also took us to some really interesting and authentic places along the way, such as a traditional carpet shop and women’s cooperatives, which gave us a much deeper insight into Moroccan culture and local life. There are quite a few hours of driving, but the beautiful landscapes and interesting stops make the journey enjoyable. We chose a group tour because we wanted to meet other people, and it was one of the best decisions we made. We were from different countries and ended up sharing experiences, stories, and learning from each other as well as discovering Morocco. The hotels and restaurants were also perfectly chosen. A wonderful experience that we will remember for a long time ❤️
A Fantastic 4 day /3 night private tour from Fes to Marrakesh. A wonderful experience and the perfect way to see the “ Real Morocco” The Highlight was our wonderful guide Hassan Kamana. Fantastic English, funny, kind , a wealth of knowledge and always professional , Hassan Kamana is a great ambassador for not only his company “ Morocco Fabulous Travel” but most importantly his beautiful country of Morocco!
My sister and I had an incredible time during this private tour. Our driver/guide/ Moroccan bestie Mustapha Azigane was truly exceptional! He always made sure we were safe, was super knowledgeable about everything, and made sure that we were having fun. We did a lot of driving during the 4 days but honestly I didn't mind. Not only was the car very comfortable, but Mustapha always made sure to keep us informed on where we were going and what we were doing for the day. It honestly felt like a road trip with a friend. The hospitality we were shown surpassed our highest expectations. Our only regret is that we did not book a longer tour. Seeing the beautiful landscapes of Morocco was our favorite part of our vacation. Every stop we made and the sites we drove by were so beautiful. I will definitely be back.
We were a group of 3 females and had an EXCELLENT 4 day tour with Youssef as our driver. We had great stays and stops along the way and Youssef was very professional, kind and made the journey very comfortable and fun. It was a highlight of the trip chatting in the car with Youssef about his life in Morocco. We had such a good time that we booked a further day with Youssef to go to Chefchaouen. Thank you so much Susu!!
I recently did the 4 day tour from Marrakech to Fes via the Sahara Desert. The best part about this tour was our guide/driver, Youssef, who was incredibly kind, patient, generous and knowledgeable. He was so great we booked him for another day once we arrived to Fes. My favourite part of the whole tour was a visit to a nomadic woman and hearing about her story. Our accommodation at Hotel Babylon Dades and Riad Azawad were both exceptional. We also attend at Africa Luxury Tents while in the desert but I do not recommend. This is a great way to see a lot in 4 days, especially the wonderful Sahara desert. I recommend 4 days over 3 if you can. The highlight was Youssef, ask for him for your Morocco adventure!
This trip was wonderful in many ways. I got to see the beauty of Morocco, was met with stellar hospitality, and had a number of unique experiences which I simply cannot begin to describe. All that being said, this experience wouldn’t have been a fraction of what it was if it weren’t for my driver/guide Mustapha Azigane. He was more than a driver, more than a guide, he was a true friend. Someone who felt like I had already known. We laughed, talked endlessly, and he taught me so much. The perfect person to go on the ultimate road trip with. The only bad thing was that 4 days was simply not enough time to explore such a beautiful country in the best possible way. Gracias por todo, estoy eternamente agradecida. Hasta la próxima x
Hassan Alhiane is a credit to Moroccan Fabulous Travel and an absolute professional. Blessed with a keen awareness, learned and devout Hassan made our trip into the Sahara even more special. He took us to places away from the hoardes of people to see flamingos. Invited us into his home to enjoy tea with his family and ensured that we needed for nothing during our 4-day desert holiday. 10/10 If you want to enjoy an incredible experience in, and around, the Sahara without the faff accompanied by an expert guide and wonderful gentleman, ask for Hassan.
Mohammed Karouich did a fantastic job. Nothing was to mich for him. We rally enjoyed everything. Untill next time
We did a multi-day desert tour with Youssef as our driver and guide, and he made the whole experience unforgettable. From the start, he was warm, funny, and clearly loved what he does. He kept the mood light with jokes throughout the trip while still being incredibly attentive, always checking that we were comfortable, hydrated, and had everything we needed. His English was fluent, so communication was never an issue, even when we had lots of questions about the culture and history along the way. One of our favorite parts were the music he played and the food places that were absolutely delicious — he truly made this whole trip memorable. He clearly knows the desert and the region inside out, no need for a map. If you’re planning a trip and want a guide who’s knowledgeable, fun, and genuinely caring, ask for Youssef. Highly recommend!
We did this tour with a group of friends, and it was an absolutely amazing experience from start to finish. The landscapes were breathtaking, the itinerary was well organized and every stop was worth it. A special thank you goes to our driver, Youssef, he truly made this trip unforgettable. He was incredibly kind, funny, professional and always made sure we were having a great time. His positive attitude and sense of humor made all the difference and we honestly don't think the experience would have been the same without him !!! Thank you, Youssef, for giving us memories that will stay with us for a lifetime. I highly recommend this tour!
Everything about this company is spot on. The pre- trip communication was second to none, they went out of their way to make sure we got the tour we wanted. Our driver Ali was amazing, his skill in navigating such difference terrains was genuinely really impressive and I felt so safe (despite getting extreme travel anxiety on roads). His knowledge of the places we visited was also great and we’d happily adopt him if he was in the market for a UK family. Our local guides were also of a similar calibre. Karim was so personable and an expert on the mountains (and hiking in general- he’s in the Guardian FYI). Mohammed (our dessert camel handler) seemed to magically appear from the dunes and was so at home in such a hostile environment. This was a “once in a lifetime” trip for us and these guys were worth every single penny. Thank you so much,
The trip was organized really well, and had a great itinerary. Communication with the company was always quick and easy. I would highly recommend choosing 4 days instead of 3, as we were able to see so much without feeling overwhelmed and rushed. Do be mindful that the long car rides can catch up with you, so plan some ways to keep yourself occupied ahead of time. The accommodations provided every night were pleasantly better than expected, so I would highly recommend them as well. Shoutout to Youssef Ouyahia, who was our driver and main guide. We felt extremely safe and comfortable in the car with him. He was always very nice and would answer any questions we had. Our trip would not have been the same without him. Highly recommend this tour, it’s a great way to see as many highlights as possible, in so little time!
I highly recommend this tour, my girlfriend and I booked the 4 day trip and had a wonderful time. Getting to see the Sahara Desert while riding a Camel was breathtaking. You also make several other stops throughout the trip all of which were very nice to see. Our guide Youssef Ouyahia who was with us the whole time was the best. He was very kind and thoughtful. He made us feel welcome and made sure we were always having a good time, the trip wouldn’t have been the same without him.
We just finished the 4-day desert tour with Morocco Fabulous Travel and our driver Mustapha was fantastic. He picked us up right at our Riad door, got us sorted with the van, and handled everything seamlessly from start to finish — it really did run like clockwork. Mustapha was warm and welcoming from the start, made everyone feel comfortable and safe throughout, and was genuinely great company on the longer drives. Professional, friendly, and clearly knows exactly what he's doing. If you're considering this tour, do it. Highly recommend.
When we started planning our honeymoon, we knew we wanted an adventure. What we didn't expect was that our journey across Morocco would become one of the most memorable experiences of our lives. We originally booked Morocco Fabulous Tours' 4-day desert tour, and flipped the itinerary to start from Marrakesh and go to Fes. After seeing the itinerary, we decided to customize it by adding an extra day in the Sahara and additional time in Fes. It ended up being the perfect decision and gave us a chance to experience Morocco at a more relaxed pace. From the moment Youssef Ouyahia picked us up in Marrakesh, we knew we were in great hands. Over the course of our trip, we traveled through the stunning Atlas Mountains, visited beautiful villages and kasbahs, crossed dramatic desert landscapes, rode camels into the Sahara, explored Fes, and eventually made our way to Casablanca. Every day brought something completely different, and every day was incredible. What made this trip truly special, though, was Youssef. From the very beginning, he was incredibly personable and easy to be around. Spending several days on the road with someone is a long time, but Youssef made every mile enjoyable. He was fascinating to talk with, always happy to share insights about Moroccan culture, history, and everyday life, and he had a great sense of humor that kept us laughing throughout the trip. By the end of our journey, he felt less like a tour guide and more like a friend. Whether we were driving through the Atlas Mountains, stopping for tea, or watching the sunset over the Sahara, conversations with Youssef were often just as memorable as the destinations themselves. His warmth, professionalism, and genuine enthusiasm for showing us his country made the entire experience feel personal and unforgettable. One of our favorite memories was our extra day in the Sahara. Having more time there allowed us to slow down and really appreciate the experience rather than simply passing through. Watching the sun set over the dunes, spending the evening under the stars, and waking up to the quiet beauty of the desert felt almost surreal. Those are moments we'll remember for the rest of our lives. As honeymooners, we especially appreciated how personal the trip felt. Nothing felt rushed or overly scripted. We felt like we were experiencing the real Morocco, not just checking off tourist attractions. Youssef's warmth, sense of humor, and passion for his country made every conversation and every stop along the way more meaningful. Looking back, it's hard to pick a favorite part because the entire journey—from Marrakesh through the Atlas Mountains and Sahara to Fes, with our trip ending in Casablanca—was filled with unforgettable moments. Morocco is a spectacular country, but having someone like Youssef guiding the experience made all the difference. If you're considering a tour with Morocco Fabulous Tours, don't hesitate. We can wholeheartedly recommend Youssef. This honeymoon was an adventure we'll be talking about for years, and we're so grateful for the memories.
Mustapha Nogot was an excellent guide, very professional. I really enjoyed his knowledge in regards to area that we visit. Very kind and courteous. I especially felt safe with him and I would recommend him to any of my friends that plan to go to Morocco or anywhere else that's in that region. I'm looking forward to the next time that I come back. I will specifically request Mustapha. He is a great representation of your company. Please let him know how much we appreciated him. It was an honor and a privilege to have spent the days learning more about the country.
Mustapha was our tour guide and he was excellent. He made our trip very enjoyable. He had great information on the Moroccan culture and the various locations he took us. We were three women traveling and we all felt very safe with him. He was very funny, entertaining, and personable. I would highly recommend him for any tour.
We had an amazing tour with our tour guide Omar. He truly made the trip unforgettable! We had so much fun in the car, and we where shown the most beautifull places! We really recommend a 5 Day tour!
I took the four-day private trip and would definitely recommend it over the three-day option. The extra day gives you much more time to enjoy the desert and the other interesting stops along the way. Our guide, Mustapha, was fantastic. Very knowledgeable, attentive to detail, and always responsive to our needs. This was easily one of the highlights of our trip to Morocco
The whole experience from start to finish was unbelievable and will remain an unforgettable memory for us. Our tour guide, Omar An was very knowledgeable, kind and ensured we had a great experience. The Sahara desert was spectacular and all the accomodations and restaurants provided were spectacular. Definitely worth it.
This was a terrific way to navigate Morocco on our first time in the country. It was great not to be driving and navigating all the police traffic stops. The meal stops, excursions and overnight hotels were curated with care and thoughtfulness. Best of all was our guide, AHMED. We hit the jackpot when we were assigned this guide!!! He is gregarious, jovial, easygoing and very personable, the 4 day trip flew by like it does when you are truly in the fun zone.
Fantastic 4 day Sahara Desert experience with our guide, Youssef Ouyahia. Easily the highlight of our trip to Morocco. The sights and experiences (desert, camel riding, sandboarding, stops along the way) were all really interesting and beautiful, but it was our guide who made it extra special. He spoke good English, drove safe yet efficient, very knowledge, and went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and having a good time. By the end, it felt like we were friends and sad to say goodbye! Tip: book the 4 day (instead of 3 day) and spend 2 nights in the desert.. after lots of driving, it is worth it to relax a little in the Sahara, especially if one night you don’t get the best weather.
We took a four day tour with Youssef Ouyahia from Marrakesh to Fes, and I cannot say enough good things! He was overall very knowledgeable, easy going, friendly, punctual and always went the extra mile to make sure we were happy and comfortable. He chose the best lunch spots, and always informed staff ahead of time of dietary preferences. He also took amazing pictures of us along the way (trust me, we are picky with our photos! Haha). We truly wouldn’t have had the same experience without Youssef and his warm personality- chatting with him during the long drives was definitely one of the highlights of our trip! By the end of the trip, we can say we have a new friend :) Thank you Youssef!
These 4 days were the highlight of our 3-week trip to Morocco. First of all I recommend the 4 day vs the 3 day tour as Days 2&3 were wonderful and unrushed. Our guide/driver, Youssef Ouyahia, picked us up promptly from our Riad in Fes in a clean Toyota Land Cruiser Prado perfect for the journey ahead. Youssef answered our many questions about virtually everything to do with Morocco and its culture. He was patient, kind and informative, especially about the Amizigh culture. He also listened to our requests regarding the tour and modified the itinerary to meet our desires and added stops that he expected would interest us based on our conversations. We opted for the third option on the Morocco Fabulous website. The camel ride was fun (about 1.5 hours) and the tent camp was delightful. The two nights’ hotel accommodations were very nice, especially Dar Blues (dinner here was excellent) in the mountains. All in all, at the end of the day, it was a memorable tour in a memorable country.
Traveling to a foreign county not knowing the language can be intimidating, however after a recommendation from a friend and hours of research I went with Morocco Fabulous Travel. And indeed it was fabulous. Our driver/guide Mustafa was absolutely incredible! He spoke beautiful English, very knowledgeable about the culture, heritage, traditions etc.. If you are as fortunate as we were to have Mustafa not just as your guide/driver but your teacher and quickly becoming your friend then you will be in good hands with fabulous memories to last a lifetime!
