This not a desert tour, we only spent about 20 minutes total in the desert. Did not go sand boarding - we asked and they told us we could do it the next day but then the day after they said it would not be possible. If you like spending 10-13 hours in a car 3 days in a row, this is something for you. Very misleading that the tour name is desert tour as the tour basically just consists of staying in a bus and driving to random locations that are not the desert. The camping was nice though, the staff there were nice and the tent cozy. The hotel (second night) was terrible. Our driver Mahfoud was nice and funny. Unfortunately I do not recommend this tour.

Didnt expect much going into this trip besides going into the Sahara but I was pleasantly surprised by the whole package. I went for the budget package because I didn't need to spend the money for a VIP package and didn't see much of a difference. The budget package was more than worth it and I was more than satisfied. The transport was comfy and took enough breaks to not feel exhausted from the drive. We were able to experience snow and moneys in the morning and the desert by the afternoon. Both nights had very clean stays with great food and a small group to make it more personal. Overall a great experience. Our driver Moha was definitely a highlight and made our experience more enjoyable. He is happy to be around and have a talk with the whole group as he drove us around for the 3 days. He gave us the option to see certain highlights so we didn't feel forced to see things we didn't want to so we had more time at our destinations, he negotiated prices and found local guides for us including luggage help if you needed it in Marrakesh or Fes. He showed us good dishes at decently priced places and introduced us to locals. He's just happy to be there and make everyone happy for the ride!
Younes (driver) and Omar (guide) were very friendly and made the long car journey easy. As was Mustafa who drove us from Ouarzazate to Marrakesh showing us thing such as traditional Berber villages and allowing us to have flexibility of stops and more time in some places rather than others. The Sahara Camp was set just edge of the desert with Camel rides into arrive at the camp. Everyone working at the camp were very friendly and welcoming. We booked the luxury room which had an ensuit bathroom and shower which was clean and nice hot water too. Large queen sized bed which was very comfortable. Dinner was chicken tagine and breakfast was pastries and yoghurt. Value worth the money. At Ouarzazate we stayed at 3 star Hotel le perle du sud which was very comfortable and clean with friendly staff. Breakfast and dinner had a buffet option. The hotel also had a lovely pool but unfortunately we didn't have time to use it. Much better than expected for a 3 star. One thing we didnt realise is that they combine the tours from different companies/ packages together which caused a lot of confusion/ looked disorganised from the outside as we didnt know what was going on. That being said, everything still went smoothly. Overall a great tour worth the money. Although long drives, we have seen so muvh of the country that we wouldnt have managed in the time span otherwise. Highly recommend!
Omar and Aziz were our guide and driver, very careful in the driving and helpful when needed as I felt sick. Very good!!!!
- Drivers — 4/5 stars (Very helpful and knowledgeable) - Accommodations — 2/5 (The camp is far from being Luxurious, there were huge black cockroaches running on the floor. The dishes were not clean and the tent smelled like cigarettes.) - Food — 3/5 (The worst was Rihab restaurant — very dry meat and tiny portions, taste is below average. The spot, just like the most stops is to bring tourists in. At the camp we had to buy water as it wasn't included with breakfast.) - Activities/Sights — 1/5 (You barely see any of the cities listed. The stops are 10-15 min just to visit a toilet in a touristy spots. In Ifrane, for example, we stopped only at a cafe where all the busses filled with tourists stop, then left without seeing the city. Same with the cedar forest and other towns apart from Rissani.) - Desert + camp — 1/5 (15 min camel ride around the camp... We didn't event got into the desert. The camps are located nearby. You see the dunes in the horizon, that's it. Also we arrived late in the evening and left early in morning, haven't had time to explore the dessert and shower as we got kicked out of the camp with literally a !5 min notice!. But they did manage to squeeze in the "shopping presentations" everywhere which is the overall theme of the trip, they will milk you everywhere after each activity. Sandboarding — non-existing.)
Fes 23/09/2024 - Marrakech 25/09/2024 Everything in the tour was perfectly organised (timing, accommodation, itinerary), from the pick up in Fes to the (sad) drop off in Marrakech. I had the opportunity of knowing aspects of Morocco that are very different from the classical 'medina-kasbah package', my personal highlights being Tinghīr oasis, of course Erg Chebbi desert, Rissani old market and village, Todra Gorges (and all Atlas mountains), Hait Ben Haddou. But the real 'plus' to the tour was our AMAZING, AMAZING, AMAZING driver, MOHA(mmed)...extremely professional, safe, careful, very knowledgeable, always ready to go far and beyond to make everyone confortable and feel part of the 'strange family' we have been for three days...above all, a very genuine, always smiling and fun guy, the perfect companion you'd wish to meet on such a long tour. Thank you, Morocco, Moha and everyone in the BeryBery group!!!
Desert tour was beautiful, and Ait Ben Haddou was great as well. Hamza drove us everywhere, and offered explanations of all the places.
Great trip. Well worth the time. Super organized & lots to see. A great overall experience. I would recommend this trip.
Mustafa and Mohamed were excellent in my whole trip . I had good fun since I was alone . They gave me very good advise ;) Mohamed knows everyone in the desert which an advantage to do personalized activities . Mustafa Is the best drive and the most fun guy I met in my whole trip :)
It was a well organized trip and the driver/guide Hassan is patient, respectful and knowledgeable. He drive safely considering we got kids in our group. The company are very attentive to our needs. We will definitely pass this information to our friends who would like to visit Morocco!
We had an amazing experience and Mohammed was an amazing guide. The desert experience was especially special and the tent was so comfortable and warm. Going from the snow to the roasting desert is one I will never forget and seeing the gorgeous valleys of tingir was a major plus. Great value for money and a great way to travel from Fes to Marrakech with sightseeing in between!
Always start with the positive, I say, so let me say that our driver, Hamza, and our desert guides were sensational proving that excellent employees are what make a business shine. We will never forget our desert experience due to the warmth, hospitality and the genuine feeling of the individuals we encountered enroute. Hamza was an excellent skilled driver, funny and engaging. My positive feedback would be that entirely too much time is spent in the vehicle and perhaps management should consider adding another night somewhere enroute to/from the Desert Camp out of Fes. I would also recommend another hotel in Ouarzazate as the one we were housed in looked excellent upon entering but the rooms were substandard and the poorest that we experienced on our journey through Morocco. I did not appreciate the unequal price structuring after polling my fellow travelers especially when I was discouraged from booking online and told that paying in cash was my only option. Having worked and managed businesses within the industry, I am aware how things work so did not appreciate that part of the experience. However, I was able to amicably resolve this issue during the trip and in the presence of my fellow travelers. Thank you for a truly memorable experience and hope to return in the future with others.
I HAVE ENDLESS PHOTOS. The 3day tour was amazing and our guide/driver was awesome. Our driver was Hamza, and he took our small group from Fes to Marrakech. Very safe drive and I felt very comfortable with him. Getting to our different locations, stoping at different spots, and food breaks were more enjoyable, because Hamza was very knowledgeable about EVERYTHING. We enjoyed stops for pictures and tea along the way. The desert experience and being able to view the sunset and camel rides to our luxury tents was amazing; you don’t have to do luxury however. Smooth driving and nice toons on the radio made our long drives more enjoyable. Hamza was a great driver and did a wonderful job!
We chose to take this tour, and we couldn't have made a better choice. Both in terms of the stops but also the timing, absolutely perfect. The quality of service was excellent, especially thanks to the company of Mohamed, our driver, a really pleasant, professional and kind person who was able to guide us throughout the trip and above all was attentive to every little need. If you are looking for a tour, surely this is the one for you!
This is a great tour! Would 100% recommend to anyone going to Morocco. Our tour guide Mohammad was amazing and explained everything patiently, had a lot of knowledge about his country and the places we were seeing. Many mini tours within the big tour and all were great. All the other tour guides were very friendly and patient with us. We felt very welcomed and it was clear they loved their country and what they were showing us. We felt truly immersed into the Moroccan culture. Accommodations were good, had hot water and heater in both places. Transportation was good. Food was decent (not mindblowing but still delicious). Really great tour!
We had a wonderful three days traveling Morocco with our five star driver Soufiene. He was knowledgeable, funny, and very accommodating to our numerous bathroom break requests. We felt safe and protected. We were two women traveling on our own. The desert camp was fun and the hotel in Ouazartate was comfortable. We stopped at so many wonderful sites and learned a lot about Moroccan culture.
One of the most beautiful experience in my life. The night in the Desert is something that cannot be described, dunes are incredible and I have never seen such a wonderful sky full of stars in the night. The other two days are a perfect road trip of Morocco with incredible views and different villages. We had the opportunity to go deeply into the traditional Moroccan life. The trip is very long but Mohamed has been the perfect guide during the trip, he is very prepared about the whole itinerary and such a good person that allowed to make the trip unforgettable
It was a really nice experience and the time spent during the trip was amazing. Saw a lot of nice places and experienced local culture and cuisine. Mohamed was a great tour guide and also really helpful when needed. In two words: thank you!:)
Honest feedback about our trip in the middle of November 2023: 1. Our driver was Abdul Washington - best of the best really. High responsibility for the safety of passengers and he has amazing sense of humour. 2. I think 3 days 2 nights trip is better because the road from Merzouga to Marrakech is too long and you will be damn tired 3. The second day trip plan was a waste of time, it’s better to exclude old town with the 1 hour excursion to their market because it’s too old and there is nothing special 4. Ouarzazate and Atlas studio are amazing sights, definitely worth visit 5. The food on the road is not good, because of the small choice (only Moroccan cuisine and then you became tired of same food for three days) 6. It’s better to start one hour earlier from Fes because it would be better to come to the sunset earlier - this part is definitely one of the best parts of the trip for everyone 7. Sahara is nice and the camping is also good but guys I would be honest that it’s not cold at night - it’s FREAKING cold and better to take ski suit (I’m not joking - we couldn’t sleep because of that cold) 8. Sunrise in Sahara is beautiful but again very cold 9. Absolutely everywhere people will ask for tips (I mean just people around - not 3t travel) I hope my feedback helps :)
We just arrived in marrakesh and what a excellent 3 days it has been, we got picked up by mohammed our driver and guide for the 3 days, mohamed is a excellent driver and he made the trip enjoyable, he explained alot about the cities we passed and he was very relaxed and informed us alot, when we arrived in the dessert we got picked up and went for the camel ride, the tent was a nice suprise and the people in the camp were really friendly and they made the night more fun, the next morning we drove the quads into the sahara to watch the sunset, the hotel was a nice suprise and mohammed helped us checking in, the next day he took us to our riad and contacted the riad to pick us up! Overall a great experience with mohamed our driver and the camp!
We spent two fantastic day in the desert with Yassine, our guide. I really suggest to do this experience for the colour, the humanity oh the people, and the spectacular scenery.
Happy to report that 3t Travel's owners are originally from Risani, gateway to the Sahara, i.e., they know what they're doing. Ikram in the main office was actually the reason I signed up, and the price is very reasonable compared to their competitors (as of October 2023 anyway). Guide was Mohamed, Driver was Hassan. Both did a good job taking care of our group of 10. Later our group grew because we had to go back (extra 20-30 minutes) to Ifrane to pick up 4 other tourists whose van broke down. This made us late arriving in Merzouga to meet the camels, so we had to rush to see the sunset. Otherwise, we had a wonderful time and our international group hit it off, making the experience even more enjoyable. I brought the printed itinerary with me because of comments from others and reviews. I can confirm that Mohamed stopped where we were supposed to stop throughout the three days, with enough time to enjoy the experience. Our driver also checked tires, oil and water levels of the tour bus, which showed that they care about safety of the passengers and getting to the destinations on time (no breakdowns). This impressed me and my husband, even though few on the bus probably noticed. The camel ride (only 30 minutes each way) was just long enough for my backside and sleeping in the "luxury" tent was memorable. I saw the standard tents and you might consider upgrading. The staff at the "Berber" encampment were lively, friendly, and provided excellent service. BTW, there were some issues with the standard tents, and those in our group who were affected, were upgraded to the luxury tents without additional charge. The hotel in Ouarzazate (day 2) was plush enough and the included dinner and breakfast were pretty tasty and generous (buffets). The Atlas Studios Tour was worthwhile and better than Universal Studios in Los Angeles because they let guests step on the sets. Ait Ben Hadou was also another enjoyable stop. Don't buy clothes there; wait for Marrakech or Fes where they would be less expensive. We bought paintings which the artist created with saffron, tea, and indigo. So cool. The final day to Marrakech was fine, but by then we all wanted to get there. It's a long 3-days but it didn't feel that long because of the entertaining stops. I highly recommend this Tour and Tour Provider. This was the highlight of our Morocco vacation. My only disappointment was that Mohamed didn't find me some camel's milk. Thank you, Mohamed, Hassan and Ikram!
A fantastic way to see many different sides of Morocco. Naturally, it involved a lot of driving to cover the great range of landscapes and experiences this country has to offer but it’s well worth it and our guides (Abdul and Kabous Soltan) were friendly, informative and comfortable drivers that put you at ease throughout the tour. Would highly recommend this trip!
As a solo traveler I ended up in a really fun group; 5 Germans and Soufiane who did a great job driving as well as answering all of our questions. Haven’t laughed that much in quite some time. However, I highly recommend the organizers of this tour to change a few things: - Lunch breaks at those touristy places are pricy and food is not good. Better make arrangements with smaller local restaurants. For lunch, a small snack and some juice is more than enough. Trust me, you will have a unique selling point if you make this part of your advertisement strategy. - We ended up being in a luxery camp, right at the beginning of the desert. So we were riding our camels only for sunset and did not actually sleep in the dunes. Rather go for a less luxery camp, but the real desert experience. - The hotel “La Perle du Sud” in Ouarzazate was my worst accommodation in Marocco. My room was right next to a bar and ear plugs did not help a thing. Apparently, the bar is that loud every night until 1:30 a.m. Was shifting to another room around 1:00 a.m. In total 5h of sleep is not good being on a road trip. Food was also not convincing, so better make arrangements with another hotel. Once those points are considered, I can highly recommend the tour. Soufiane as a driver and guide I can, without any doubt, already recommend.
We had a great 3 day Sahara tour experience from Fez to Marrakesh via Merzouga. Mohammad our driver is very kind, friendly, has a good sense of humour, funny, attentive and good skill of driving. We had a great time touring around Sahara desert. I highly recommend Mohammad.
We’ve been in Morocco for 16 days and so far the day/night in the desert is by far the greatest highlight. We worried about the tent and the bathroom situation, for no reason. Huge tent, great king size bed, sitting area and a great bathroom/shower. Our tour mates were fun & friendly. Our tour guide Oumaima was kind, friendly, informative and always there to assist. Said our driver was kind, helpful & safe driver. Would definitely recommend.
We loved our trip from Fez to Marrakech with Mohamed! He was a very good driver who was born in Merzouga and therefore had a big knowledge about the region we visited. We enjoyed also travelling in a group of young people with the same age as we have (26). Only downside was the lunch, we were driven to expensive restaurants with not that good food and no alternatives around. We would recommend the tour to everybody!
Everything was good. The food stops, the sightseeing points, the guides, the places where we spent the nights where really good. Mohamed our driver was also a great guide, funny, kind and attentive . I’m very pleased to have chosen this tour over other options.
We asked Mohamed (our tour guide whilst in Chefchaouen) for a recommendation for a tour, and we met with Souka on Fes who booked us onto the 3 day/2 night tour from Fes to Marrakech via Merzouga/Erg Chebbi and Ourzazate. It did not disappoint! 10/10. Comfortable and nice cars, great guides and luxury camp in the desert (inclu. Aircon everywhere!). I'd recommend this tour to all. Both our drivers spoke fab English and answered all our questions. Big big thanks to Souka & Mohamed, you made our trip through Morocco the most pleasant journey. All the best, S&A!
Wonderful experience, we’ve been in the desert for two days and one night. Excellent guide (our driver Mohamed was the best) that took us from Fes to the desert. Great experience with camel and snowboard in the sand, the tend was very beautiful and the food was very good. Advised
I really like to recommend this trip . Very nice safety driver , with lots of fun and knowledge about history. When u drive 3 days together , this is so important. The trip special to the Sahra was amazing. Nice people from all over the world . It was very harmony. Also the staff in the luxury Camp so great people , good food , fun Desert experience, also after dinner music. I really enjoy this trip . Thank u everyone.🙏🏻
The trip over all was incredible and very well organized. Our driver Moustafa went above and beyond for us and helped with additional transportation after the tour. He spoke English very well and we always felt like we knew what was going on. He was very courteous, fun, kind, and informative. He also made sure to help when he could with translating. My partner and I really enjoyed having Moustafa as our driver. The trip stops were great for the main sites of interest. The smaller side stops were less appealing to me and the tourist restaurants that pretty much all tours were stopping at were expensive and not great food wise. If I could change anything about this tour it would be less stops at "tourist trap" sites and more time at the main attractions. That and if there could be smaller restaurants along the way that aren't so expensive. Again, over all great and fantastic driver but some of the planned stops are not ideal. So I give 4 out of 5 for this tour.
A 3 days escape from the crowded city and into the quieter, most beautiful natural landscapes. From the forests of the medium Atlas to the Sahara desert to High Atlas, this trip was full of wonders and we had the pleasure to have Mohammed as our guide and driver. Always smiling and at disposal, he made this journey fun and safe. A tip I can give is perhaps to improve the lunch breakes, as the food quality Is not the best and it's a bit pricey. Also the hotel in Ourzazate could be a little better. Eitherways, thank you dear Mahmood for this incredibile journey!
Amazing experience, well organized. The tour allow to see beautiful places other than the desert. Our guide, Mohamed is a great person, always smiling, funny and kind. Also the people work in the desert tent camp are fantastic, you feel as at home. We really enjoyed!
See nothing but sand! Our driver was super friendly and funny so the time in the car didn't feel long at all. You see interesting spots in the way before the desert and after. My highlight was the camel ride into the desert, to feel the heat and the sand. The accommodations were really luxurious. Really good and organized tour which I recommend to everyone who is short in time and want to see a lot of the country.
Amazing trip, wonderful experience. The desert camp was perfect with tasty food and Berber dances. Thanks to our amazing driver, Soufiane, that has carried us in this unforgettable trip!
Wonderful trip and amazing experience. The desert camp was very nice, with Berber dance and food, that was great!! Thanks to ours best driver Soufiane, that has carried us for three days, in this amazing trip!!
Soufiane was an excellent driver and guide during your trip from Fes to Merzouga and Marrakesh. He was very knowledgeable about the area and provided great insights into the local culture. He also made sure that you were comfortable throughout the journey. Overall, you had a great experience with him and would highly recommend him to others.
It was was so nice experience I enjoyed every moments I had the guide hachem he so knowledgeable and informative he know lot and he make our experience so much fun and we enjoy it too much for sure we back thanks for this company we recommend everyone to book with this campany
The trip was simply magical. The travel agency were very professional and followed the program to the letter. Our driver Sofiane was the sweetest. He was respectful, punctual and fun to be around. He was more of a friend showing us around. He helped in making the trip enjoyable as much as possible. If you’re planning a desert trip from Fès to Marrakech, then 3T Travel should be the travel company you choose and Sofiane is your guy to show you around.
This trip was good in any possible way! Although it is a long drive in 3 days (like 15 - 18 hours) every part of the trip was worth every penny. The driver Mohammed was really easy going, told us on the way about the highlights and places we went trough. And at the same time he didnt talk to much or pushed in some ways. Mo, you are the best! Even when we were pushed by some guys to get on a horse somewhere and in the end they asked a to high price, he was there to help us. If you book the trip you will see a lot of culture and nature in Marocco in a short time, so its highly recommended!
This tour was an unforgettable experience. Mohammad our tour guide made the trip so fun. He is very funny and made us feel at home. The tour takes you to amazing spots along the way so the long travels are worth it. The camel riding is one of the coolest things I’ll have ever done and I highly recommend. Thanks Mohammad for being awesome.
Beautiful nature, so picturesque! Mohammad was a great driver who made the trip even better with his knowledge and humor.
The tour - it is a cut and paste with people from other itinerary (3 or 2 days). you go on different transports, so half the time you are waiting around and no idea what’s going on with no communication. The accommodation- the ‘camping’ is built right behind the owner’s run down ‘hotel’. Shower has no water so you will sleep with sand in your hair. It’s cheaper to put up some tents and market as ‘luxury camping’ than rebuilding the deplorable hotel. The room in ouarzazate is very old with rusty bathroom, and it smells of cigarettes. The owner - only thing he says with a fake smile is ‘hello where are you from, and how is your trip here? Asks for money first thing in the morning as that’s the only thing he cares about, you see through his act on a 4 day tour sitting around. The food- you are taken to restaurants operating for tour groups only paying a premium, quality is ok. The camping night staff will cook and it will not be enough food. If you are a group of more than 2, with the $ you are paying it is far better to book your own private transfers and your own accommodations. You will have a better time.
Mohamed was the best tour guide!!! He made our trip incredible. Would definitely recommend this tour. The desert camp was lovely and we saw the incredible night sky and rode camels. Salah our desert tour guide was also wonderful. The hotel was also lovely on the second nights
We had an amazing time with our group and Soufiane, would recommend to anyone who has the time in Morocco! The desert was breathtaking and other stops were really pretty as well. Very comfortable van, had a blast with our new friends from Australia & France and accommodations were way more luxurious than we anticipated. We made memories for our lives! Thanks again, Judith & Anne
Excellent hospitality right from pickup to drop off. We got to explore a lot more than we had expected during our 4 days in Morocco thanks to the decision to go on the road trip to Erg chebbi. Mohamed our driver was excellent on the wheel and provided us with fun facts enroute. The desert camp had excellent facilities and the staff went over and beyond to give us the best experience. All in all, we met great people, ate great food and made some life long connections on this tour. I highly recommend to go with this company for all your Morocco exploration needs from Fez.
We took the 4 day tour Marrakech-Dades-Merzouga-Fes with driver Mohammed. There is a lot of ground to cover and I'm glad we took the 4 day rather than the 3 day option. Even with 4 days a couple of the days are very long. Our guide Mohammed was helpful and informative, and was enjoyable to travel with. The accommodation in each location was excellent, meals at the hotels were pretty good. Each of the hotels had pools. The scenery is spectacular and there are a number of panoramic stops along the way. There are the usual sellers of souvenirs, scarves etc at each spot, but only one location where our guide suggested that the products may be of dubious quality. Seeing the sand dunes for the first time is quite an experience, and the camel ride onto Erg Chebbi is great. I had heard that the camels are very uncomfortable (esp for men), but the saddles had thick blankets and the ride is not that long, so discomfort is not a problem. The ride takes you to the lower dunes for sunset and you can walk to the top yourself. It's very strenuous, especially the last, steep section - but it's worth the effort. It was quite windy at the top the day we went. I highly recommend a head scarf - they are incredibly effective for both sun and wind protection. Much, much better than a hat. Plus, they look kinda cool. The camel guys will offer to sell you souvenirs (fossils, thunder eggs and carved stone camels) before you get to camp. The camp is good, some 'tents' have showers and Aircon - that may be dependent on which package you take. Ours had both, which was much appreciated. Pre dawn we walked out onto some nearby dunes. It seems like each couple gets their own guide and they are all great at setting up photos for you. It's fun. Again, they will offer the souvenirs. We had a long haul to Fes on the last day, so we left in the bus straight from the camp. I believe that another short camel ride in the morning was an option, but it would have made us quite late into Fes. The exciting camel trip is definitely the one into the dunes for sunset, so I don't feel like I missed out. Overall, I really feel like I got a great appreciation for the people of the Sahara, the history and the incredible landscape. Highly recommended.
Would highly recommend this trip, was such a cool experience and so many amazing moments. Our guide Mohamed was probably one of the best tour guides we have had, he knew the area very well and knew all the best spots to take us. He was also super fun and we all really enjoyed hanging out with him.
We had an excellent time on our three day excursion from Fes to Marrakech via Merzouga. Soufiane was very professional, friendly, and gave us great insight into local and Moroccan customs. Would recommend 10/10.
