In the morning around 7am, you’ll start travelling southeast to Merzouga via Azrou and Errachidia. Your first stop will be at Ifran, referred to as “the Switzerland of Morocco”, and then to Merzouga via Midlet and the Ziz Valley. During this journey you’ll experience glimpses of the Middle Atlas and Higher Atlas mountains. Stopping at the famous cedar forest – the largest in Morocco – where you may well sight Barbarian apes. You’ll notice how the scenery changes to reveal hints of the desert as you approach the city Er Rachidia. After lunch , your journey continues along the luxuriant Ziz Valley, stopping for panoramic views along the way. We will drive through welcoming Berber villages to Rissani, the foundation of the Alaouite dynasty – the current ruling royal family in Morocco. Arriving in Merzouga at the end of the day, you’ll be welcomed with a glass of mint tea before you check in to your riad. after relaxing few minuts in Merzouga,we go to the camels who are waiting to take us on an adventure in the sand dunes. We will spend the night in an equipped camp with drums music in the middle of the Sahara, we go to a high dunes to see the sunset , we will spend the night in luxury camp.
This Cedar Forest is in our way to the Sahara desert, We will have a stop to enjoy it and take pictures with the must friendly monkeys (it's optionnal).
Arfoud is famous of it fossiles, marbles, dattes fruits and much more so we will have a stop to see how the turns rocks to tools and decorations, a denasour was found here too!!! * It's optionnal and we can skip it's not interest to you.
Early in the morning your camel guide will wake you up to watch what well may be the best sunrise of your life. Afterwards you will have breakfast in the camp then start the way back, en-route you couldn’t fail to appreciate the unique beauty of the spectacular Sand dunes – changing with the light as the day progresses. You’ll leave for Fes via Errachidia and Ziz Valley ending in Fes.

We had an amazing experience on our private 2-day desert tour from Fez to Merzouga and back! We were travelling as a family with young children, and from the very beginning everything was perfectly organized. Our driver, Omar, was exceptional. During the long drive (around 7–8 hours each way), he adapted completely to our pace, was patient with the children, and shared so much information about Moroccan history, culture, and the places we visited along the route. We learned far more than we expected from this trip. He even made an extra stop so we could buy traditional desert clothing and turbans before arriving in Merzouga!! One thing we appreciated was that there was no pressure to fit everything into the first day. Any stops we missed on the way to the desert could easily be made on the return journey, which made the experience much more relaxed. When we arrived in the Sahara, we checked into our camp. We highly recommend upgrading to the luxury camp—the price difference is small, but the experience is absolutely worth it!! We were lucky enough to have the camp to ourselves. They welcomed us with traditional tea before heading out on a camel ride to watch the sunset from the dunes, one of the highlights of the trip! Back at the camp, we enjoyed a delicious dinner, honestly one of the best meals we had during our time in Morocco. Later in the evening, they organized a traditional desert music show around the camp, the perfect end to the day. The following morning after breakfast, Omar drove us back to Fez. As an extra gesture, he even took us to a lookout overlooking the Medina at sunset, even though the tour was already over. Overall, this tour was one of the highlights of our trip to Morocco, 100% recommended!!! Communication was very good from start to finish, the organization was perfect, and Omar was simply outstanding. Me and my friends did a 3 day custom desert tour from Casablanca to Marrakesh. From the start Mohammed made this trip extremely comfortable as he responded quickly to emails and gave us all the information we needed to book. As 3 young women we always felt safe and comfortable with Mohammed. He explained every stop, gave us different options for food along the way and ensured the trip was exactly to our liking. After arriving at the luxury camp, we were able to enjoy a delicious meal with vegetarian accommodations which was very much appreciated. We enjoyed watching the moon rise over the sand dunes as well as the singing by the fire, which is hosted each night. The next day we had lots of fun finding fossils, ATV’ing and visiting a beautiful lake. After leaving the desert we stayed at a beautiful Riad booked by the Desert Tours, it was stunning, clean and had very delicious food. We spent the whole day driving back laughing with our guide and enjoying the beauty of Morocco. We got to pick beautiful roses, see how Argan oil is made, and even saw where Game of Thrones was filmed. Overall if you are looking for a desert tour this is the place to go. Our guide, Mohammed, was not only knowledgeable and showed us the beauty of Morocco, but also was very kind and is like a friend to us. We did 2 tours with Desert Day Tours. The first was the city tour in Fez with Hakim and it was great. We visited all points of interest and he provided interesting information. We toured all the medina and souks, which I don’t think we could have done it by ourselves. Second tour was the 3 day tour to Sahara from Fez to Marrakech. Youssef was our driver and guide, he was absolutely amazing. The transportation was very comfortable, we were traveling with very high temperatures and the air conditioner worked great. They even provided bottled water. The stay at the desert was even more than what we expected. The site is more secluded and truly luxurious, the facilities, food and staff were amazing. It was an extraordinary experience. The booking process with Mohammed was great, quick and accurate responses to all of our questions. Thank you sharing with us the best of Morocco!

This was absolutely perfect for us! We were picked up right from the airport and started our drive to the Sahara. Our driver was so nice and accommodating; he took us to great sights along the way. We saw the sunset on the dunes of the Sahara Desert and rode camels. The glamping site was gorgeous and the food and entertainment were great. Great deal for a great price!

We (2 women, 2 men) booked a tour starting in Agadir to the Desert and continuing to Marrakesh. Our driver Jusuf picked us up at our hotel in Agadir on time. We started our trip rightaway. On the first day we had multiple stops, a guided tour to Aid Ben Hadou, great lunch and a really good driving experience. The first night we spent in the Dades Valley in a really beautiful Riad. Our trip included Breakfast and Dinner, even with vegetarian options! On the second day we started toward the desert, again with multiple stops. Our driver asked us if we are interested in a spontaneous trip to the desert with Quads and last minute organised it for us. Jusuf was one of the most competent and chill driver I ever witnessed! He made sure we get as much breaks as we needed, lunch on time and the time of our lives! The camel ride to the sun set, the sun set and the desert camp on the late afternoon/evening of the second day, where our personal highlight! The third day included the drive to Marrakesh to our Hotel. I can recommend this trip from the bottom of my heart, to anyone who wants to have the time of their life!

Everything was even better than expected. The camel ride and dunes were obviously breath taking. The guide was so nice and knowledgeable about everything. We felt safe, informed, and entertained the entire time. I can’t wait to come back.
Wonderful trip with Desert Day tours and Hasan. We started from Errachidia and went to desert and finished in Fez. Hasan was superb, and he knew all the people and places. He tailored the trip to our needs and gave us relevant information about the local cultures and history (in addition to answering our several questions). Wouldn’t hesitate to travel with Desert Day tours and Hasan again. They are very responsive via WhatsApp for all communications. Highly recommended.
Best tour I have ever taken. We had the van to ourselves with our driver Youssef who was so knowledgeable about his country and spoke perfect English. The luxury camp was everything I was looking for- quiet, private and close to the dunes with luxuries I never thought I could find in the desert! Will recommend to all my friends visiting Morocco for sure!
Our tour is not in the drop-down menu. I traveled with my cousin on a 2-night, 3-day tour from Fes to Marrakech. Our guide, Youssef, was a great! He gave us information not only about the areas we passed but also insight into Moroccan culture, the dos and donts, and some thoughts about the country as a whole. We appreciated the Sahara stop most and would have loved to stay longer.

My family and I wanted to do a tour to the Sahara. I started to search online and came across this tour. I have read a lot of the reviews and wanted to see it for myself. I can say that it was really beyond my expectations. Everything started with clear and quick communication with Mohammed. He gave me a lot of information and answered my questions. We booked the trip and the pickup was in our hometown nearby Fes. We met Youssef and began our journal. Youssef was very helpful and patience! Told us a lot about the places that we came acrossed during our drive to the dessert and the history of them. The beauty of the dessert itself is not to describe. The calmness is something I never experience and the whole setting felt like a movie. After the camel ride we went to the camp where we met Ibrahim and Youssef (other one then the driver from before). They welcomed us with lemon juice and Moroccan mint tea. The dessert camp was beautiful and clean, it was more then we expected. Later that night we looked to the stars and that was something to never forget. The view without any light pollution was so beautiful and is something you have to experience yourself! The people we met at the camp really made us feel save. Traveling with 3 women that is very important to really enjoy the trip. At the end of the night they felt like family. We did the 2 days tour but when we left the next day we regret not staying longer. The people, the place, the whole experience felt so good that we definitely are going to do this again. The places we have seen and the people we have met were something that made our holiday in Morocco very special. It really is a tour to never forget! We booked our tour online and it couldn’t have been easier. They were very accommodating as we had to change our dates and even the tour itinerary. The tour itself followed suit and it was a very smooth 3 days. Our guide, Hassan, was brilliant and explained all the best sites and even pointed out small bits of information about the towns/people/animals we passed along the way. The riad was amazing on the first night and the luxury camp was surreal. Overall we had a very enjoyable tour and would highly recommend!
My friends and I went on the 3 day tour starting in Marrakech an ending in Fes via the Sahara desert. Desert days tours were so helpful from start to finish, we had so many questions about the different tours and they were more than happy to answer our questions. Desert days helped us work out which tour suited us best, they always checked in on us, even to ask if we arrived to Morocco okay. As for the tour itself I do not have one bad word to say, it was honestly the most amazing experience I and my friends have ever done. We all came away knowing that we truly had been on a once in a life time journey. Our driver/guide Youssef was the BEST! He was so patient with us, (3 girls, always needing to stop to use the restroom) always asked if we were okay, what we would like to do i.e where/when we would like to stop for views/shops/food. He made us feel so at ease, we even booked him again for another day trip to Chefchaouen. I have no doubt in my mind that if I was to go back to Morocco I would book again with desert days and Youssef. 100 and 10 percent recommended

My friend and I opted for a 4-day, 3-night trip from Marrakech to Fes via the Sahara. Earlier this week, we did 3 days Sahara trip from Fes to Marrakech with Desert Day Tours. Youssef was our driver. We were family of 4 - all adults and had a comfortable ride in the big Hyundai H-1 van. Youssef was a charming person, fully knowledgeable about desert and other areas. The tent and the Riad we stayed were really class - 5 star ones. Had a wonderful 3 days and will recommend them any day.
We left from Marrakech, spent one night in a beautiful gorge near Ourzazate and then went into the desert. The stay in the desert was by far the highlight of our whole Morocco trip. We rode camels into the beautiful Sahara sand dunes, watched the sun set, and then rode back into camp for dinner. The food and accommodation was amazing - the best tajine we had and great tent with hot shower and heated blankets. After dinner, we sat around the camp fire listening to Berber music (live), and danced and drummed a little ourselves, and ended the night by sharing stories and riddles over the fire. The desert night was so beautiful and all the stars and planets were the clearest I’ve ever seen them. The next morning, we climbed into the dunes to watch the sunrise and sand board. My kids loved it and can’t stop talking about it. After a great breakfast, we went onward to Fes, where we were dropped at our next Riad and left the tour. There were many lovely stops along the way, which are all optional, but we dressed up like Berbers in one place, saw a famous casbah, saw how they mine and shine fossils, saw monkeys near Fes and walked through some amazing gorges with springs and unique rock formations. I would definitely recommend this tour and we are planning on coming back as soon as we can to stay for longer and go further into the desert.
One of the best trips we ever had, this 3 day desert trip was the highlight of our 10 days trip to Morocco. We started from Marrakesh and ended it in Fes. It was well organised by Mohammed, followed by we were tour guided by a wonderful soul Youssef who was instrumental to the whole well planned trip. Staffs (Ismail, Youssef) in the desert camp were also very friendly and made the whole experience in the desert camp beautiful. Overall we would recommend this desert camp to anyone who is planning a trip to Morocco.
Youssef was a wonderful driver and a guide. He kept our interests as priority and adapted the tour to our specific needs. In addition, he’s a wonderful photographer, some of the best travel photos was shot by him. All in all I would totally recommend him for the tours.

The first riad that we stayed on our first night was really nice and quiet. The room and bathroom were big. The luxury camp is really luxurious. I didn't expect it considering the amount we paid for the tour, it was really worth it. The breakfast and dinner were absolutely delicious and were really filling. As part of our time in Morocco our family of 7 wanted to spend time in the desert. We typically do all our own tours and do not hire guides. What a way to see the dunes! A key player in our trip was our guide, Yassin. Yassin was an excellent guide to me and my friends. He truly helped to make for an unforgettable trip. He was knowledgeable and was keen to share with us the things he knew. He was responsive to our questions and shared just as much enthusiasm for the trip as we did. And I must add, what a great taste in music!

We did this tour for 2 nights and 3 days coming from Fes. We were able to tailor the tour and go at our own pace. Yassin was a great tour guide and really took care of us and was flexible with our needs and requests for the trip, it felt like hanging out with a friend!
Our 4 day Sahara Desert excursion and Fez city tour with Desert Day Tours was absolutely amazing! From the moment Mohamed picked us up in Marrakech to traveling through the Atlas Mountains to the Sahara Desert to Fez, we were in excellent hands. I highly recommend this company “Desert day tours”. Visited Morocco with the wife for our honeymoon and had an incredible experience doing the 3 day tour. This would not have been possible with the help of Said and Hamid. Said is very knowledge about the culture and history. Said offered valuable advice for the areas we visited to ensure that we would get the best out it as well as answer any questions that we had. Hamid is a great driver who will get you from point A to B without any issues we felt safe with him behind the wheel. They ensured that our time in Morocco would be an unforgettable experience. I suggest doing the private tour. We were able to stop and take as many pictures as we wanted. The accommodations that were made were great from the hotels to the food stops along the way. During the trip we stopped at a local restaurant and after sitting down and looking at the menu my wife and I did not like the options provided. Said was more than happy to take us to a different place which I appreciated. Day two of the tour I experienced stomach pain most likely from something I ate. Said suggested that we stop at a Pharmacy to get medicine which they drove us to without hesitation. He even went inside with us to make sure I got what I needed and communicated with the pharmacist. Long story short I was able to get the proper over the counter med and later that night the stomach pain went away. I can not stress enough how genuine Hamid and Said are. Highly recommend booking with this company. This was definitely a highlight of our trip as we learned a lot about the Moroccan people and culture which is our main goal when we travel to a new country. It is a great way to see a lot of places and get from one city to another in a nice private car. The website details about every place you will visit and see. Before booking, we exchanged several emails and Mohammed answered any and all my questions; he answered my emails in a timely and professional manner. We originally were going to take this trip in March 2020 but decided to hold off as it was the start of the COVID pandemic. But as we were deciding on whether we could make it, Mohammed answered all my questions related to COVID restrictions in the country and seemed very flexible if we booked and then if we needed to cancel due to COVID. We decided to hold off since we were unsure how COVID would pan out. Over a year later, we were finally able to book our trip. Prices and everything we discussed before remained the same which I appreciated very much. Our tour guide Mohammed was excellent and spoke English which was very good. He made us feel very comfortable and safe. We never felt rushed and was very accommodating. He always gave us timelines on what we should expect coming up and pointed out a lot of things along the way with interesting facts. He answered any questions we had. He was also great at taking pictures for us and many pictures too. The car we were in was very nice and comfortable and very very clean. There was a little hiccup on our pickup in Fes which was my fault. I didn’t realize there could be multiple riads by a parent “company” name with a specific name under the parent name. I had given the parent name which took him to a different Riad. Luckily our Riad host was able to help us call him and figure out where we were. We were thankful that it was resolved quickly with the patience and support of everyone. I would recommend when communicating pickup to include address and link of place you booked. The desert camp was very nice. Each tent had a bathroom and shower. It was very much glamping which I was very happy with. It was nice to be able to take a shower before bed after a long day. On our drop off in Marrakech, Mohammed ensured we safely arrived at our Riad and called to ensure the people helping grab our luggage was from our Riad. All in all it was a wonderful experience and highly recommend.
We did a 3-day tour that started in Marrakech and ended in Fez. This tour was without a doubt the highlight of our 10 day trip to Morocco. From day one everything was perfect. Our guide (Mohammed) picked us up at the Riad and made us feel welcome with his friendliness. During the entire trip Mohammed was available to answer any type of question and left us completely at ease. The tour included a tour of the Atlas Mountains, Aït Benhaddou's kasbah, Monkey Fingers, Todgha Gorge, not to mention the breathtaking landscapes we saw along the way. When we arrived in the desert, dromedaries were waiting for us and we went to see a stunning sunset over the dunes of the sahara. The camp where we spent the night is magnificent and worthy of a 5 star hotel. Upon arrival at the camp we were very well received and at the end of the dinner, which was also very good, we were entitled to a very good performance of traditional desert music. We start the next day watching the sun rise over the stunning dunes of the sahara before leaving for Fez. Once again, we were treated to the most beautiful landscapes that culminated in the interaction with the monkeys in the Azrou Mountains. This trip was worth every penny and we hope to return one day. Desert Day Tours is a locally-owned and operated company. My wife and i went o. This 2 days desert tour from Fes to Sahara desert and back to Fes and it was an alazing experience. Our driver Mohammed was extremely professional and very knowledgable about local culture, society, economy, history, geology, geography ecology and more. We received a very tailored close-up look at the Atlas Mountains, Merzouga desert dunes, berber villages and the oasis. We hope to be able to come back for a longer tour next time and would highley recommend this company.
My friend and I booked the 3 day Sahara Desert tour from Fes to Marrakech and this was hands down the highlight of our trip!!! We were so happy with this experience and cannot recommend this company more. Before our trip to Morocco, I spent days searching the internet trying to find the perfect company that had the exact itinerary we wanted, had a nice desert camp, and was at the right price point. Mohammed patiently answered the many questions I kept emailing him and was more than willing to accommodate our itinerary by dropping us off at our next destination in Imintanoute, which was 2 additional hours outside of Marrakech (the typical drop-off spot) as we requested. No other companies were willing to do this. Mohamed also gave us riad options for our second night. Other companies choose this for you, but I appreciated having a say. Mohamed actually recommended Riad Tazawa, which we decided to go with, and it was an incredible riad with a garden that had fresh grapes growing everywhere for you to pick & eat! What really sets this company above the rest are the amazing people. Our guide, Said, is the absolute sweetest guy who made sure we were always well informed, stopped people from hassling us, and got us fair prices at the markets. Our driver, Mbarek, is the epitome of cool. He kept us laughing and drove us everywhere smoothly. Traveling with them truly felt like we were traveling with friends and we had the best time getting to know them, the Moroccan culture, and the Moroccan landscape. Not to mention they had an awesome playlist of Moroccan, Arabic, and even some American pop music (can I get an encore of "Shape of You"??) that we really enjoyed jamming out to. The long trek to and from the Sahara didn't seem so long with all of the awesome stops made along the way. And the desert camp itself was truly one of quality. After our 1.5 hour camel ride to the camp, we enjoyed dinner in a lovely dining tent. We also had our own private bedroom tent. There was a shared bathroom equipped with toilets, sinks, and showers too. I didn't know the desert could be so luxurious! The tents here are sturdy and well built. So in case there is a sandstorm, you will be safe and protected at this camp. We sat by the fire after dinner and enjoyed listening to the camp staff (and Mbarek!) play traditional Berber drums. They taught us a few beats afterwards as well. The next morning they even found a sand board for us to try our hand at sand boarding. Said and Mbarek went above and beyond to make our trip special. If you're caught up in the search for the perfect desert tour like I was a few weeks ago, seriously look no further. This company has all 5 star reviews for a reason. I also think they offer the best price point out there, especially considering the great quality of each detail and all of the things that were included. We had an incredible adventure with Said & Mbarek. It was one of those experiences that makes your feel whole and were so sad to say goodbye. We took part in a private luxury desert group for 3 days and 2 nights, Marrakech in and out of Fez, the car was spacious and tidy, the driver was very punctual and funny, point-to-point hotel transfers, which I thought was very important, and the RIAD in Fez Old Town didn't find it easy on its own. 2 nights hotel, one night arranged in a canyon, one night in a Sahara Desert camp, the food was surprisingly good and the best we ate throughout our trip to Morocco.
