We had a wonderful tour starting from Tangier! We set off early from our pickup point with a super knowledgeable driver who shared all the details about our day. We arrived in the beautiful city of Chefchaouen, where a friendly guide showed us around. Then we drove to Fez to spend the night—the riad there was lovely, and the hosts were so welcoming. The next morning, we met our driver again to keep exploring Morocco. We enjoyed gorgeous landscapes and stopped at several scenic spots before finishing the day at a desert camp. The vibe was great, though the breakfast options could use a little more variety. At this point, we met our favorite driver, Driss—such a kind person with a big heart! He was flexible, full of knowledge, and made our last two days amazing. We continued through Ouarzazate and the Atlas Mountains, ending in Marrakech with great memories and unforgettable adventures. Thank you!!!

Itinerary
Day 1
1
Departing from Fez you will begin your ascent into the Atlas mountains
We will pass through Ifrane, a winter ski resort in a totally un-Moroccan style built by the French in the 1930s to resemble a Swiss village. Visit the cedar forest in Azrou and see the monkeys in the trees.
Most of the day will be spent winding your way through the beautiful forests, springs, jagged rock faces, and Berber villages as you cross the Atlas Mountains and begin to descend towards the Sahara Desert. Half way, you will stop for lunch in the town of Midelt, famous for its fossils and rocks, then you will continue towards Merzouga
you will reach to Merzouga in the afternoon around 5 pm, where your guide and camels will be waiting for you. After a short break, you will start a camel trek across the sandy dunes of the Erg Chebbi. See the desert landscape and sunset from the camelback, and after two hours you will reach to the desert camp to spend the night in a Berber tent. At your desert shelter, your camels are hobbled and mint tea is served. After dinner, watch the stars. Overnight in the tent.
Day 2
2
In the morning you can get up early, take a walk over the sand dunes and watch the sunrise from just behind the Algerian border, which is about 31 miles (50 km) from Merzouga
Then take the 4x4 back to Rissani where you will change into your minivan. From there you will take the road to Fez. En-route you will have stops for rest and lunch. You will reach Fez in the late afternoon or evening.

A wonderful experience, though there is room for improvement in some areas. The camel ride was quite short, and by the time we arrived, the sunset was already nearly over. Perhaps it would be better to consider offering camel rides at sunrise as well. The bus journey was very comfortable, and Mahfoudh was incredibly kind and attentive; he was always ready to help with any request and shared interesting details about the various landmarks we passed along the way.
everything was great, absolutely worth the price! all the guides were so sweet, food was great, activities amazing they tool good care of the animals too which was important to me. 5/5 stars :)
Moha is an amazing Tour Driver and guide. We had excellent time with him. He is the best. He took good care of all of us. We recommend him to everyone who wants to explore Maroc.
Ibrahim was our driver and he was absolutely great! Provided chargers, was safe and efficient. We had just the right amount of stops to break up the long drive & also not too long at each stop which was just perfection. The tour itself was magic, the camp was comfortable, food amazing and the Sahara experience was amazing. My only regret is not doing the 2 nights (due to limited time)!
Najime really good people, everything good and really fun
Was superb Najim was great driver and supporter
Najim was a great driver and tour guide!
Spending a night in a desert camp was an exciting experience, and I was really looking forward to it. Unfortunately, the weather was not ideal that day, so we missed the sunset. However, we were able to enjoy a sky full of stars early the next morning, which was truly unforgettable. We also watched the soft reddish sunrise the following morning. The tent was very comfortable and well equipped, with electricity, a hot shower, a private toilet, and air conditioning. The shuttle minibuses used for the journey to and from the camp varied in quality. Some had Wi-Fi, while others did not, so it seemed a bit hit-or-miss. Overall, I highly recommend this tour.
We had a great experience! Our guide/driver Mohaa is very professional! He goes above and beyond. We will recommend him to other travelers.
I had an amazing trip to the Sahara Desert with our driver, Mohaa. He was very friendly, kind, helpful, and professional throughout the whole journey. He made us feel comfortable and safe, and he was always happy to help and answer our questions. The trip was a wonderful experience, and having such a nice driver made it even more enjoyable. I really appreciate Mohaa’s hospitality and positive attitude. I would definitely recommend him to anyone visiting Morocco and planning a Sahara Desert trip. Thank you, Mohaa, for making our journey so memorable! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Good expirience, our drivers (Mohcine and Moha) were wonderful. Prepare for a long drive through the desert.
Good experience, amazing driver and amazing workers
Moha was such a great tour guide!!! The drive felt so nice with his entertainment. He was so sweet and made us feel so welcomed in Morocco. Thank you once again for such a great experience!
Very good service, friendly people and good experience. The driver Moha was too kind and good person.
We had a great experience with Moha! He was very accommodating and friendly.
Moha, our guide was amazing! He made the ride so fun , loved his energy. Didn’t even feel like a long ride because of him. Would highly recommend booking with him!
We had such an amazing experience with our driver Moha! He was genuinely such a vibe and made the whole journey so much more fun. He’s a great, safe driver, but what really made the experience special was his personality — he was hilarious, friendly, and had us laughing the whole way. Whenever we drove past something interesting, he would explain what it was and tell us little things about the places we were seeing, which made the drives feel like part of the experience rather than just getting from one place to another. We felt completely comfortable with him and had such a good time. Moha definitely made our trip more memorable, and we couldn’t recommend him enough. Thank you Moha!!
It's a fantastic tour if you're short on time. I went alone to look for the dunes and wasn't disappointed by magic of desert. Our guide, Drill, was fantastic: attentive, helpful, cheerful, punctual, and gave us all the information we needed. Obviously, if you have more time, I recommend the longer tour; you won't be disappointed.
This experience was worth every penny! Our guides communicated with us so well from pick up, what was upcoming on our itinerary, interesting facts about the places we were seeing, to drop off back at our riad. Pro tip: Listen to your driver and be prepared for people to try to give you peanuts and take pictures for money at the monkey site near the forest. I would suggest having a few dirhams out before you step out of the vehicle so you can enjoy the monkey experience without the pressure of being pushed to take out money. As for the desert experience, the guides were very kind and helpful. Ask any questions you have to your guides! They are very knowledgeable. They also know the best poses and places for beautiful photos:) The "tent" we stayed in was so luxurious! Dinner was delicious and fresh, and hanging out with other people staying in the camp was also very fun. Tip: If you added the four wheeler tour to your package, make sure you know what time and where to meet for that! Overall, I would recommend this 2-day desert tour to anyone visiting Morocco!
The experience was very good. We were warmly welcomed from the beginning and throughout the trip by our guide, Zaki. He took great care of us and provided us with a lot of information about the trip and the cities we visited. Everything was very well organized, and the trip was excellent for both of us Khalil & Lucie
The overnight stay in the dessert was amazing. We had a driver Mohamed who knew the roads very well and took us to some great eating places. We had a little trouble with the hot water in our luxury tent but one of the hosts came right over and assisted us.
We had a great trip up through the mountains and out into the desert. We were picked up in a pristine black Mercedes people carrier by Mohcine. He was a superstar. We hadn’t had breakfast, so he stopped at a little roadside place where we could get some pancakes. He took great care of us the whole trip, and played great music. He was also a very careful and smooth driver. We spent a long time in the road and felt safe the whole time. The desert camp was stunning too. Thanks Mohcine, we were so glad you were our guide!
This was hands down the coolest experience of my life. I would 100% recommend this to anyone interested in visiting the desert without sacrificing their travel time in Marrakech, like you might with the three day Sahara trip. Our driver Zaki was great. Super nice, professional, and accommodating. Also, I definitely recommend adding the quad tours to your package. It was entirely worth the additional charge. Overall, we had a fantastic experience.
So much fun!! Incredible experience in the desert and out driver was the highlight, he was very nice and made great stops as well as an efficient drive.
Zaki was a brilliant driver and guide. He helped us with everything and allowed us to enjoy the trip to the fullest. He answered all our questions respectfully and he was very attentive. He ensured we could see the sunset and sunrise at the desert which definitely was an extraordinary experience. Finally, he was very helpful with leaving us close to our hotel, which we really appreciated.
Zaki is the best driver in Morocco. He's very attentive and polite, with lots of great advice. Recommended to everyone. Thanks, Zaki.
We traveled from Fes to the desert camp and back, and overall the experience was great. The highlights of the trip were many. Our driver, Mohamed Buzga, was absolutely amazing. He kept us entertained for the entire journey, showed us interesting places along the way, and answered our questions when the management failed to. For him alone, the trip would easily be 5 out of 5. The desert itself is breathtaking: the dunes at both sunset and sunrise are unforgettable. The camel ride lasted about 1 hour, with a 1 hour stop in the dunes, and it was a lot of fun. At the camp, the staff were welcoming and funny, and the dinner was excellent. However, there were also some aspects that need improvement. Dinner is included, but water and other drinks are not. This is something that should be made very clear in advance, especially since we are in the desert. Luckily, we had cash with us, otherwise we would have been left without anything to drink. The management also felt disorganized. We were contacted on WhatsApp to arrange the pickup, but when we asked questions there, we never received any answers. Thankfully, Mohamed helped us. Finally, we had asked for a guide who spoke English, but in the desert our guide only spoke Berber, which made communication almost impossible. In the end, the desert experience itself was amazing, the trip was enjoyable, and thanks to Mohamed and the camp staff we still had a good time. With better organization and clearer communication, this tour could easily deserve 5 stars.
If you are in Morocco and have enough time you should go - the desert is sensational. We booked 2 day tour, and selected the luxury camp option with a stop at Ait Ben Hadou. The desert camp was comfortable. Our tent had a air-conditioning, and had an en-suit shower and a toilet. The evening in the camp we had a good meal and then had the pleasure of watching Berber music. It is a long way from Marrakech - thank you to our drivers. Mohcine drove us all the way from Marrakech and kept us entertained the whole way. It was great to see him play the drums in the evening too, and he showed us how to play and let us have a go. On the way back we were with Mohammed Bozga. He very kindly went a slightly different route back so we could see new places on the way. He also kept entertained and comfortable the whole journey. It's a long way, but doable. The drivers make sure to regularly stop for food/coffee, and comfort breaks as well as interesting viewing points to take photos. Given the distance we were comfortable in the cars. Thank you Mohcine and Mohammed Bozga. This tour is well organised and we recommend
Tour recommended! Incredible experience. It was planned in every single detail. Fantastic dromedaries ride on the dunes and wonderful landscapes on the road. Learn to tie the turban. Eat typical dishes. Our friendly driver Mahfoudh has gold hands, he drives very smoot, he has always been on time and he answered all of our questions. The Company got in touch with us and scheduled our pick up and all the details about the trip.
The driver Mahfoud was very nice and helpful,it was a long trip but it was worth it. The whole experience was unique and fun.
Very good organized, our driver Mahfoud was very helpful and explained all stops with detail. Excelent experience in the desser.
I had a lovely experience on this trip . Mr Mahfoud our driver /guide throughout the journey was very helpful, kind and professional. He gave us all the details and made sure that we didn’t get too tired with frequent stops at appropriate time. The only things that I would recommend to improve is selection of food at dinner which was very basic and please don’t ask for extra charges for water and drinks during dinner .it should have been included in the dinner . The tents were really nice but it would have been perfect if the water pressure and temperature were also good . As I had difficulty using shower in tent due to no hot water . All in all I would say it’s one in a lifetime experience that everyone should do .
The drivers from Fes were very nice, professional, and very knowledgeable The staff at the camp made sure everybody had a great time. The sand boarding was a nice surprise The staff that helped with the camels were also great, and their made the camel ride fun and smooth The accommodations were amazing The food was great
If you don't have much time—like my partner and I—but still want to experience the desert, this is the best option! Everything was well organized, the drivers were friendly, and both dinner and breakfast were delicious and generous. It would be great if the hosts at the haimas could share a bit more about desert life and their culture—it would make the experience even richer. The only downside for me was the return trip to Marrakech. It's quite far, and the road has a lot of curves, which made me feel a bit dizzy. That said, it's not the tour operator’s fault—it’s just the nature of the journey. If you have more time, I highly recommend booking a longer tour to enjoy the experience at a more relaxed pace.
I had lots fun in this 3 days tour fron Fez to Marrakech. The 1st night in the desert, camel guid is really friendly and patient with everyone. Baraka (the camel guide) helps us took lots photos and answered questions to us. The 2nd day I met the driver Driss and new group to continue the rest of 2 days journey. Driss brought lots fun. To us during the traveling. He explained the location and history to us when we passed by each towns. Everyone I met in this trip is the Great people in my entired trip in Morocco.
People were friendly and Sahara is beautiful but whole thing was very disorganized and short. There wasn’t much communication or anything like an itinerary. We arrived about an hour before sunset and then left the next morning at 9am so 4 total hours of daylight. Going there was in a van but going back there were 7 of us packed in a sedan. There wasn’t really a tour, either. Did ride camels but no one was describing anything at any point. Accommodations were beautiful and music at night was great. But in hindsight would’ve gone with another company.
Fantastic trip thanks to our driver Idris, who was an excellent guide. He made this experience unique with his stories and kindness. He makes us laughter and fun and he makes the whole group feel comfortable, and at the same time he gave us tips advices and let us know everything about Morocco thanks to all his knowledge of the area and the local culture. He greatly enriched the trip. I can say that I have found a true Friend here in Morocco. We will definitely come back and we hope to travel with Idris again.
Great tour! The Sahara desert is one of the most breathtaking places & the accommodation they provide is exceptional! We loved the African drumming at night and the food provided was great. Overall unforgettable trip. Keep in mind it is a very long drive on both days.
Everything was as dwlescribed in the offer. Stunning landscapes, especially on way from Merzouga to Marrakesh. Guides and drivers super friendly and helpful, all stops mentioned were included with even some extra ones. Long drive but plenty of stops whenever we needed. Tents were super exclusive, we got clean sheets, extra blankets, fresh towels and hot water. Only thing which could be improved is communication at the camp, we weren't told when we leave just until 5 minutes before departure, despite asking multiple times. We were late for it cos we were sandboarding, not knowing how much time we have in the morning. And breakfast mediocre. But dinner and campfire with music awesome! We recommend this trip and this company to everyone!
I recently had the pleasure of taking a trip with Mohamed and Aziz, and I wanted to express my gratitude. The drivers were incredibly friendly, considerate, and welcoming. They went above and beyond to make sure everyone felt comfortable and at ease throughout the journey. Their thoughtful and courteous nature made the experience truly memorable. I’d highly recommend them to anyone looking for a pleasant and enjoyable ride!
This two day trek was so much fun! A few stops for snacks/lunch and to see monkeys, easy and beautiful van ride, glorious night sky at the campsite — it all makes for a nice, entertaining getaway. Pro tip: get in contact before tour day if you want to ask questions, and ask about meal times when you’re on the van — my friends and I were confused at some of the stops (as they were not the meal times). Very friendly guys, thank you to Said and Youness for the safe, sweet travels!
Everyone was super friendly and it went smoothly. The drivers, guides, and hospitality staff at the camp were all great. The drive was long but super comfortable and we had many cool stops along the way. The views were incredible. It seemed like there were no monkeys on the day we went but our driver searched and we found some! Thanks to our guide Said!
It is the perfect way to see as much as possible in comfortable and safe way! Diunes are amazing. Our desert camp was more then expected . Special thanks to Mohamed Buzga - our guide - supportive, caring and joyful. Mohamed stories about History and present days of Maroco made this almost perfect experience even better! Thank you Mohamed!
It's one of the best experiences in my life! Climbing the sand dunes and watching the sunset is insane!!! It totally worths it. During the trip you visit so many beautiful hidden places. Our driver and guide, Mohammed was the extra detail of perfection for our trip. He was so kind, so helpful, he gave us so much interesting information about every place, he introduced us to some Moroccan music and he never asked for any money more ❤️ i recommend the trip and especially the trip with Mohammed 🤗
It was a great experience, I really recommend this trip, everybody was amazing, the experience visiting the desert was unique.
Glamping at the edge of the Sahara. Great drum circle. A lot of bus travel but worth it. Learned a lot on the way.
What can I say, just fantastic! We spent 3 fantastic days with amazing people throught incredible landscapes, from the desert to the high mountains passing by historical villages. Everything possible thanks to the best driver in the world Mohammed, fantastic person very professional and very well prepared. We spent memorable moments with him. I want to suggest this experience to everyone!!!
This tour was so much fun!! The desert was so beautiful, especially during sunset while we were riding camels and sunrise when we driving the ATVs. The drive to and from Fez was lengthy but our driver, Zaki, really made it accommodating but making stops for the restroom, food and interesting stops along the way. He definitely went above and beyond!
Had an amazing 2-day tour from Fes to Marrakesh via Merzouga! The group was small and friendly, and our driver mustafa was hilarious and very informative. Riding camels in the desert was a highlight, but the second day’s drive to Marrakesh was quite long. If possible, go for the 3-day option for a more relaxed experience!
