Riad Le Calife

What a special place! The riad is in a great location, the staff is incredibly attentive, the food is excellent (breakfast and dinner), the rooms are clean and very comfortable, there are numerous places to relax outside your room - there’s a bar, a quiet room, a rooftop terrace, and a lobby area with tables and a fountain. I highly recommend this Riad.

Riad Le Calife was elegant and enchanting! I was lucky enough to occupy the Diamond Room which made me feel like royalty with its beautiful decor, crisp bed linens and incredible view. The owners and staff were wonderfully attentive and went well out of their way to ensure that we were comfortable. Nothing seemed too much trouble as they arranged a superb guide to show us the city as well as an escort to a local favorite restaurant for dinner one evening. Our breakfast as well as the dinners we enjoyed in the Riad were also delicious. I will miss the fresh juice every morning. Don't hesitate to stay in this delightful place and its incredible team. The location is convenient to everything. The owner even checked on our safe arrival to our next city destination! Can't say enough good things about our experience.

This riad is like no other in the world. It's absolutely stunning and resembles a museum, as the hosts carefully pick unique pieces in every corner. Everywhere you look, you are amazed by what you discover. It's a riad that makes you feel at home, for its beauty and mainly thanks to the hosts and staff that are simply beautiful and wonderful generous human beings. Staying here is a true experience that has to be lived at least once! I have stayed here more than 10 times and i'll be back again.

Riad of Dreams. Stay here! Note: The photos just don't do it justice. Yasmine and Alex are sublime hosts and they have curated a blissful retreat in the medina. And the staff are lovely. There are bigger palais that are glorious and have spas etc but you don't want to stay there. You want to stay here. They're too big and soulless. They aren't as cosy or as comfortable. The furnishings not as pitch perfect. The medina is chaotic and I love the energy but it can get draining so knowing you can come back and relax and be looked after with an endless supply of mint tea or a glass of wine stress free is wonderful. Things I particularly appreciated: - We got one of the larger rooms. The upgrade was worth it. We peaked at the smaller rooms and they are lovely too. But our room became a destination itself. A space to enjoy tea and chilling after the hustle of the medina. If your trip is for something special, do it, give yourself the upgrade. - We also gifted ourselves a hotel organised car to and from over a local taxi. Necessary no? A nice way to start and end things. Absolutely. - The Riad is very much in the medina but located near a square - after a few days in the medina you appreciate the proximity to open space. - the Moroccan wine served was delicious and didn't feel at all illicit. Nice at the end of the day. Two things we didn't get quite as right: - I usually prefer group tours on a trip to private. But in the medina, group tours look like hell. Luckily we ended up on a private one anyway. But honestly, just book through the hotel - I would trust Alex and Yasmine's pick over a thousand TripAdvisor reviews. - Snacks. The hotel has a restaurant for breakfast and dinner, but for dinner needed pre booking. We weren't organised enough to use it and our schedule was off so we were eating later. We ended a few nights peckish because we hadn't got organised and taking on the medina to find food at that time just wasn't something we had energy for. I tried four different delivery apps - all couldn't deliver. We should have stocked up on some snacks the first day. Our bad.
