Riad Dar Dmana

Not better location in Fes! Closely located to restaurants, cafes, and the Medina. The service was exceptional and very friendly dly to foreigners. I can't recommend them enough! They have the best roof lounge area in town!!! Very safe area!!!

This is not a hotel. It is a large traditional home built around a courtyard. This one has been converted into a guest house. Once you get past the front desk, you find yourself in the courtyard where there are six large tables making it the lobby some times of the day. Other times, it is the breakfast room, dining room, or even a meeting room. Some guest rooms are right off the courtyard. Others are up the winding tiled staircase, or on the 2nd or 3rd floor. All rooms have their own bathroom. My room had a king size bed, very good lighting, cable tv, and 3 outlets for recharging electronic devices. The bathroom had tiled bath/shower with vanity with plenty of room for your toiletries. Furnishings included desk and small table; also 2 chairs. Doors and shutters all appear to be vintage. Breakfasts were large and with a variety of dishes. I was part of a group that stayed here, so we also had a multicourse dinner. This was a delightful place to stay. I did get lost once in the winding narrow streets. Lots of nice restaurants and a market are nearby. Only complaint was that at times the internet was very slow, probably when our entire group arrived from an outing so we were all checking email. I would stay here again. I would highly recommend Riad Dar Dmana to my friends.

We did not stay here but enjoyed a delicious meal in the gorgeous courtyard of the Riad. The pastille (both vegetable and meat) were very good. The harira soup was also excellent.

Absolutely gorgeous, a great place to go to get in touch with Moroccan culture. Stained glass windows and intricate architecture everywhere.
