Riad 9 Fez

I could not recommend this place more! All the rooms are gorgeous, and Atika the host is amazing! She kindly organized transport for day trips/airport, a walking tour, and places sh recommended for dinner. She also cooked the most delicious breakfasts each morning, and was so lovely and friendly, she really made the trip for us!

We stumbled upon a gold mine staying at Riad 9…a magical authentic Moroccan retreat just a stones through from the bustle of medina life. Atika was truly the most perfect and generous host making us feel welcome and cared for from the second we arrived right until the moment we left. She was also incredibly knowledgable and helpful which was a blessing with our trip. Delicious breakfasts on the rooftop and the beautifully decorated bedrooms were a highlight. Thank you for such a cosy/enjoyable stay. Couldn’t recommend Riad9 and the amazing Atika enough! X

Spouse and I had a wonderful 2-night stay here. The location is great, right in the heart of the Medina in the old city. Gorgeous architecture in the riad itself. The room was comfortable and incredibly quiet with its own heat pump/air conditioning unit. A couple items of consideration for booking a room: 1. Room #1 does not have a bathroom within the room. The bathroom is down the hall and accessible to the rest of the riad, but has a locking door and is quite large. 2. Room #2 has its own bathroom, but does not have a door to close it off from the bedroom. I imagine people sharing this room might use the common bathroom in the riad for "number twos" to avoid stinking up their room. MVPs: Tazi- excellent driver who shuttled us from and to the Fez train station. Very knowledgeable of Fez and other Moroccan cities (as we asked about our next stop in Marrakesh and future vacation plans to Tangier, Rabat, and others). Atika- our wonderful hostess. She's an excellent cook, making at least half our breakfast fresh. She gave us the absolute best tea on our whole vacation (Casablanca, Fez, and Marrakesh), and it was completely free. Quick to answer any questions we had, and always available. We wish we had more time in Fez, so we'll have to come back. When we do, we will be staying again at Riad 9.

Attica is an amazing host that is attentive and helpful and has an eye for all the small details she made our stay experience something to remember. I highly recommended if your into something unique and has a personal touch
