I was going to give 5 stars, but the owner made me give one only Everything in the place is perfect The Manager, chef, and staff are super friendly The place is more than perfect the only problem is the owner who lives in the same place, she is super rude and disrespectful she treated us like she owns us with the place

One of the worst hotel experiences I have had in years. We were the only guests during low season. After check-in, the only staff member left the property completely unattended overnight. No front desk, no on-site support, no basic supervision. Breakfast was not available at 8:30 AM because “no staff” could arrive before 9:30 AM. If a hotel is open for business, basic services like breakfast should be properly arranged. Otherwise, this should be clearly stated before guests book. At check-out, we were told we had consumed a jar of nuts and damaged a toilet seat. The toilet seat was already broken upon arrival, and we did not consume the nuts. There was no check-in inspection and no staff present during the stay. To avoid further dispute, we paid 600 in local currency just to leave. The issue was not the money. It was the lack of professionalism, transparency, and accountability. I would not return.
Wonderful location. But bit disappointed in the stay. We felt a bit rushed. Unfortunately, when we booked, months ago it asks you to put a check in time and we just guessed the time to fill the blank space. Then when we didnt meet that check in time, we were a bit rushed to get there and travelling with a baby didnt help. The breakfast is a bit underwhelming. Maybe its because we are aussie and we don't eat much bread or processed foods. We'd all have been happy with just eggs & Yogurt. The thing that actually irritated us though was that someone had done the pluming in the shower before we arrived (and didn't put back the drain lining) and we knew they had done the plumbing because the room stunk of sewerage in the mornings - we thought it was the toilet but then on night 2 we noticed the capping from the shower drain was removed (and was being stored in the ledge!). Given the place was not busy, I would have thought the logical thing to do was just put someone in another room until they had the sewage sorted!
Kaya Villas, this summer we discovered this truly exceptional pearl that is truly commendable, manager Tanja and her colleagues gave us an unforgettable 6 days. Kindness, cleanliness, peace, everything was great and excellent, after 25 years of staying in various destinations we finally found what we really liked and that's why we booked a slightly longer stay next year, we hope that Tanja and her colleagues will be there next year to complete our stay. For every recommendation
Nice modern suite and beautiful grounds. Very good breakfast Staff very friendly, but not good in communicating, for example when water was off for hours and no info given Also wanted to charge us at the end a lot of money extra for breakfast 'additions' like coffee, when breakfast was meant to be included. No mention of extra cost during the stay, only at end. Got resolved ok, but for a property at that price point, really unnecessary. Kitchen has new appliances, but no tools needed like handtowels etc Also felt like the place was more catering for family and friends of the owners, than for paying guests. Last but not least, had the worst ever pasta for dinner at the restaurant. Other food was OK, although a bit pricey...
