Kasbah Hotel Xaluca Arfoud

Stayed here during our trip to Morocco in September, regretfully only for a single night in this hotel. It is truly wonderful although perhaps a little strange to European eyes. But please think about staying here, the hotel is laid out as around several blocks, the rooms being set in a line along open corridors in two levels. To get to the rooms you walk past the swimming pool an open area, the resteraunt is set to the side of this area. When we stayed it was running a buffet style evening meal that was very good with lots of choices. The self serve breakfast was also excellent and the coffee almost the best i have had in Morocco. The only downside that we found was that although both available hotel wi fi connection worked perfectly both in the resteraunt and the area by the pool the further you got from this the less chance of getting a connection was.

An Oasis in the middle of nowhere. Both day and night you will want to take photos of this beautiful hotel. Go up to the roof for a great view. Has a great pool. Food was good. May need mattress toppers for those who like softer beds.

Lovely hotel in the heart of the Erg Chebbi Desert . Very Moroccan in decor. Lovely room and walk in shower. Went to the desert in 4x4’s to watch the sun set before returning to the hotel for dinner which was buffet style and very busy

While driving to Merzouga, we saw this hotel and decided to check it out. The property looks impressive. We opted for a junior suite and the problem started right after we checked in to our room. It was a pretty spacious suite. There was no water supply. They said they will send someone but none came for hours. Then suddenly water supply worked. Then we noticed the flush button was not working properly. We called again but no one came! It gets very crowded in the evening when the tour groups start coming. The food was average. The wifi never worked in our room. The fitness center was in shambles, a lot of old and broken equipment.
