About Activity
A gentle introduction to El Chaltén's trail network, this four-hour hike climbs through a enchanting forest of ñire and lenga trees along the Fitz Roy River, alive with wildflowers and the occasional red-headed woodpecker. Walk quietly and you may be rewarded with close encounters with Patagonia's native flora and fauna along the way. The trail culminates at the Mirador Monte Torre — a spectacular vantage point overlooking the granite spire of Cerro Torre, the sweeping Adela range, and the glaciers of Monte Solo.
