A short but rewarding hike departing from El Chaltén, this well-marked trail crosses the Fitz Roy River bridge and begins at the National Park Visitors' Centre, ascending to one of the area's most strategically positioned lookouts. As the name suggests, this is prime condor-watching territory — scan the skies for these magnificent birds riding thermals above the Fitz Roy River valley. The viewpoint also frames an impressive panorama of the granite peaks and glaciers that define El Chaltén's iconic skyline.
