Incredible trekking experience. Macarena (Maca) was an exceptional guide; very capable, skilled, knowledgeable, true passion for what she does, and a very wonderful person to lead me. I was fortunate to have her as my guide. We had incredible weather, ideal conditions which made the trekking climb that much more special and enjoyable. The climb is not easy, but a good challenge of ability. I highly recommend this experience - Mount Fitz Roy is breathtaking and the scenery up and down was breathtaking.

Itinerary
Embark on an unforgettable adventure as we whisk you away to the stunning Río Eléctrico bridge, just 18 km north of El Chaltén. This trek promises breathtaking views right from the start, showcasing a spectacular array of glaciers including Marconi, Eléctrico, Cagliero, and the distant Vespignani glacier towards Lago del Desierto.
As we set off, the trail offers gentle climbs and a mostly flat path, leading us to our first breathtaking viewpoint: the Piedras Blancas glacier. Soon, we'll emerge from the forest into a stunning clearing, revealing the iconic peaks of “S”, Saint Exupéry, Poincenot, Fitz Roy, Mermoz, and Guillaumet—all waiting to be admired in their full glory.
Our journey continues as we tackle a 400-meter ascent over about an hour, arriving at the spectacular Laguna de los Tres. The path here is rocky and steep, but every step is worth it. At the top, you’ll be greeted by awe-inspiring views of Fitz Roy, the glacier de los Tres, and the lagoon itself—it's a sight that truly puts everything into perspective. After soaking in the grandeur, we’ll circle around Laguna de los Tres and head to the viewpoint of Laguna Sucia and its glacier. Enjoy a well-deserved break with a bite to eat as you take in the surrounding beauty.
The descent will lead us back to El Chaltén, taking us through diverse landscapes and alongside crystal-clear streams. Don’t miss Laguna Capri—a photographer's paradise! As we drop into the valley, you’ll reflect on a day filled with stunning sights and unforgettable memories. Join us for this incredible trek and discover the magic of Patagonia!

Amazing day!!! Beautiful nature... All day hiking!!! Breathtaking mount and lake in front of the Peaks.
I had an amazing hike, with the kindest and most patient guide. The views were breathtaking, and worth every step!
Gorgeous incredible surroundings and the view at the Laguna of Fitz was beautiful! However our guide would walk very fast, barely look behind to check we were together and not match the average speed of the group/slowest walker and so we either had to call him back to wait or wait for them to catch us up and he over took everyone we passed on the return journey which we felt was unnecessary. There were a couple of one at a time bridges and he would go first and not wait til everyone else had passed over so if you were more than 3 or 4 people behind him you were miles back.
We had an incredible hike with Lucas. It was long and physically demanding, close to 14 miles, but the payoff was more than worth it. Beyond the stunning scenery, what really elevated the experience was Lucas himself. He shared insights about paragliding and climbing, and we were lucky enough to see both happening on a perfect day. We didn’t take the standard out-and-back route and started from Río Eléctrico, which was a huge plus and made the hike feel more special and less repetitive. Having a guide truly mattered, Lucas helped us find quieter spots away from the crowds where we could really take in the views we would have easily missed on our own. If you are physically able to do this trek, don’t hesitate to book. It was worth every penny and then some.
Excellent hike! Our guide was very good. The views were spectacular. Make sure you have good shoes and poles
Not an easy run of the mill hike/trek! It certainly require serious physical fitness and endurance to climb to the top and be back all in one piece! Total trek advertised is very deceiving 16kms but actually it’s 28.57kms (17.7mikes ) as per my Apple Watch total round trip distance reordered. It certainly felt that way in my legs and my wife barely made it through! The guide was super helpful and made all efforts to keep us in steady pace as best he could. Vitor certainly need to put some extra lines in to th description to not blindly alert people and deceive but to give the honest details of what’s required for this trek. Otherwise, people will end up in trouble with injuries to them and with some broken bones at a very steep climb for almost an hour in the narrowest rockiest and the windiest section near the top. Cold and heavy wind gusts almost take you off the steps unless you are very experienced to hang on to a rock! Once you get to the top the lake with turquoise water against the Mt. Fitzroy is just heavenly as long as you can stand in the heavy wind gusts that are almost kicks you off your feet! The rain comes in horizontal pellets like hitting in your face to a piercing pain! You have to suffer to enjoy the view in those harshest conditions and then start nothing but to descending through the same field of large rocks and boulders by hanging on to your dear life not to get blown away with the wind gusts!
Booked as a group tour but ended a private one. Couldn't be a better experience. Specially with a very experienced, Knowledgeable and polite guede such as Macarena. I was a bit anxious about this demanding hike but thanks to Macarena everything went perfect. Pitty that the laguna de los tres was iced and covered with snow, but this was a different beauty.... Lots of photo opportunities. Thanks for this unique experience.
This tour was an incredible experience. My guide, Naher, was the consummate professional. She taught me so many interesting things about the nature of El Chalten, and led the tour at a fun and challenging pace. She was also very game to take pictures of me at various spots and was incredibly personable. I fully recommend booking a tour with her!
Unforgettable experience. One of the best trek of my life Just WoW Higly recommend tour. One full day of emotions
The trekking was very good and the guide was excellent, giving very good information. Everything well organized and I enjoyed the day very much .
As a beginner in trekking, this was one of the most challenging physical activities I've ever done. However, it was also an amazing and unforgettable experience. The landscape was among the most beautiful I have ever seen. Our guide, Mika, was professional and incredibly encouraging, especially during the final kilometers leading to the top. I was on the verge of giving up, but Mika motivated me to keep going and shared valuable tips that made a difference. I personally believe that joining a guided tour has many advantages. You get to learn about the history and interesting facts of the place, take some shortcuts, and receive useful tips—especially for beginners like me who aren't particularly fit or physically active. I highly recommend this tour!
I had a fantastic time on this trek. Our guide was very friendly informative and patient. There was a great view at the top!. Overall, just a great day.
Terrible tour guide from Walk Patagonia named Sebastian. He was mean to my wife the whole 7.5hr hike - he called us “lazy city people” and told us we didn’t have patience/were moving too quickly to then call us lazy and slow, despite us finishing the trek in 7.5hr (recommend time: 10hr). He gave us no info about the area, flora, fauna, etc. Absolute waste. Just go by yourself and you’ll have a much more peaceful time. That said, our driver Gustavo, was fantastic and kind.
I rated 2. The tour coordinator was not well informed about the park fees. They asked to pay fees via internet and it was not need. Others people that were part of this tour did not pay
We chose a shortened trek and did not attempt the climb to the top due to the rocky steep and unstable base. It didn’t reduce the delight in the fantastic scenery or photographic possibilities. Our guide Paolo was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. One warning, the mosquitoes at Lago Capri were viscous.
Amazing views and our guide Lisandro was very helpful and knowledgeable. We were paced well, took ample breaks and got great photos. Lisandro taught us a little bit about the geology and history of the area, took good care of the group, and even helped us get fresh glacier water to drink. Highly recommend!
The views, the landscape, flora, fauna. But best was the guide Leandro. (Yochi?) I really struggled with a first time knee issue on the descent. Leandro was great and made sure I got down ok. My fellow travellers were wonderful too offering assistance and help. Thank you
Unfortunately, I was was the only person who signed up for the tour that day. The guide was very nice so I got the chance to practice my Spanish the whole day. However, I wished a heads up that I'm gonna be the only one. Since the hike itself is not very challenging, I mainly signed up for this tour so I can hike in a group and get to know other people.
Just book this!! 100% recommend. This is a challenging hike and Lee was an excellent guide. Patient, informative, safety first - she is quickly able to read all of our abilities and adjust the pace to our skill level. She kept us on time and we completed the entire hike. Also met some wonderful people in the small group. I honestly think I would have given up near the end had I attempted this one my own (traveling solo). Thank you, Lee. You’re the best!!
Nicolas was a fantastic and passionate guide! We enjoyed every minute of our trekking to laguno de Los Tres! The view of the Fitz Roy at the top is just amazing, it is worth the effort!
Very good experience. The guide Victoria was well informed and regularly checking up on me whether I needed to rest. Enjoyed a lot. Thank you.
Even though we hike pretty often we decided to get this tour and be guided -just in case- Leila, our guide made the hike very fun, sharing a lot of great information, tips for other hikes and keeping us safe. Lots of laughs, amazing views and all went smoothly, thank you to our guide and bus driver. I will highly recommend this experience if you’re not an avid hiker or to get the great insights from the local guides about the area
Julie is a perfect and professional guide, so I can completely rely on the routes she chooses. Great talk, view, and experiences!
Great trecking, very good guide (Virginia), helpfull and a real pro, wonderful scenery, excellent service, Sharp on timing and full focused on the team, a memorable experience.
El pliegue tumbado is a not so usaul trek, but is easier than the others and with also a beautiful view in the end
We had a great time on the hike. We were able to take a van to start the hike where the normal trail would be hard to get to. If you want to do the laguna de Los tres hike from town, you can do so without a guide. It is about 12 miles round trip.
Wonderful guide, very nice and professional. Nice pace and stopped for people taking photos. I would use here again. Amazing hike.
Five Stars⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!!! Julien was really friendly and knew his way around the trails to show us the best view points of El Fitz Roy!! We had to switch hotels the night before and the tour company was very responsive to changing the pick up point. Overall a great experience!!! Thank you
Rocio is an excellent guide who speaks Spanish, English and Italian. She follows safety procedures and is very knowledgeable about the trail and it’s conditions. She pushed me when I needed it and stayed with me when I was going slower, ensuring I felt safe at all times. A wonderful guide who has given me the memory of a lifetime
Great day with a great guide!! Perfect trekking tour with Raul.. I highly recommend this company for the fitzroy tour! It Was a great experience!!
Tour itself disorganised. Made us treck to town (20 minute cab ride) only to ferry us back to our hotel to start the tour. The guide was great though.
Excellent guide, great experience. Small group; excursion to be done only if you are in excellent physical shape because it is very demanding
We went to Chaltén and did the Lagoon of the Three, leaving very early. Bring supplies and water. Trekking poles and dress in layers. Stop whenever necessary, enjoy the journey; the last kilometer is tough. Very steep. Do it at your own pace. Listen to your own breathing. Upon arrival, enjoy, fill your mind with good vibes, take photos, film, drink, and replenish your strength. It is not to be missed. The return is easier for me. But long. The body already feels the fatigue; do not faint and continue at your own pace to reach the hotel, take a bath, eat, and rest. Suggestion for a light activity the next day.
A wonderful experience. A great guided tour through amazing natural landscapes. It all went painlessly. Highly recommended!
Very well organized. Two guides for eleven passengers. Both well prepared and super disposed. Because of the difficulty of the climb to the Lagoon of the three, we were given the option to decide whether to do that stretch or not and the group was divided into two, each with a guide.
An outstanding and unique adventure. You have to be fit enough to run 20 km and do 800m altitude difference. The reward is unique landscapes, a guide who knows a lot about the area and the history, overall a great experience!
If you do not have preparation I do the trekking from the city view, we did the trekking of 20km without being physically prepared, incredible experience and suffering, but wonderful views, it is only not finished due to the bad weather, I indicate to go to land 1 or 2 nights in the city to not risk losing the tour if it goes the route of the 3 lakes in Fitz Roy
Fantastic experience. An immersion in nature and an opportunity for you to take a break in your daily running. The trail is challenging, but it is possible to do so with calm and patience.
Simply one of the best treks of my life. Varied route with many spectacular views. Quite challenging, it lasts all day. Staring, you won't regret it!
The guide Franco showed me the flora and fauna. The name of the different places we visited and saw. Very professional!!
Excellent Excursion! Amazing views!! The guide explained the journey. It's worth it. It flies by all day!
The scenery of this Trek was breathtaking and the Guide was great. We had a great time. The Guide was very familiar with the environment and described not only plants and trees, but also glaciers and, in general, the whole environment surrounding them.
Un trek exceptionnel avec une guide Julieta parlant bien anglais, sympathique, enthousiaste et qui connait très bien son sujet
The fact is that I absolutely wanted to make this climb but in a group in order to be reassured. The experience was very conclusive as we were a group of 3 people (a couple from Spain and me). Our guide managed to find the right balance between pedagogy and freedom of action and has totally adapted to the group level. His presence reassured me especially in the descent - he lent me his walking stick. Finally icing on the cake, the weather was fantastic that day - so the experience was exceptional in every way!
Very good trek, Florencia is an excellent guide and the views are beautiful. It has a medium-high difficulty, but it is highly recommended.
spectacular place, I recommend planning the activities, according to age or physical condition and how to approach the excursions. This way it is used better. I think there should be more information about the activities. The prices are excessive, in the supermarkets they do not display the prices (that is not good)
A wonderful place, unique in the world. The climb on one side and the descent on the other allow you to have a complete idea of the great beauty of this park. Lisandro our guide was impeccable. Thank you so much
Compartir con los guias. Muy buena información y acompañamiento. Un treking de 16 km desde las 9 de la mañana hasta las 16 hs
I loved the trekking place and the experience of the guides. I followed the excursion with Lucas, to Capri lagoon, which was the shortest hike. Lucas taught us about fauna, flora, history of place and of course explained us about the hills, height and difficulty of ascent.
