This is an incredible once in a lifetime experience. Worth the cost!! The boat trip gave amazing views, as did the walk up to the glacier. We spent ages walking on the glacier, with up close amazing views from various different angels. Great guides, really friendly and knowledgeable. Finished with relaxing walk along the walkways which gave different views of the glacier.

Itinerary
The tour starts with the pick up from your centrally located El Calafate Hotel (if option selected). Exact pick up time will be reconfirmed the day before the tour.
After passing by the hotels, we will take the Provincial Route N°11 to enter Los Glaciares National Park. This unique natural wonder has been declared a "World Heritage Site of Humanity" by UNESCO in 1981. The National Park includes a scenario of mountains, lakes and forests, a large portion of the Andes Mountains covered with ice and snow to the west and the arid Patagonian steppe to the east.
Once in the “Bajo las Sombras” port, you will board a ship to cross the Lago Rico to arrive at the opposite shore after a 20-minute trip approximately in front of the southern wall of the Perito Moreno Glacier. For those who have chosen the option without transfers, this is where you will meet your guide who will give you all the necessary instructions.
Once on the ground, a short 20-minute walk begins with a talk about glaciology along the shore of the lake towards the glacier. Once on the ice, the guides put on each participant a pair of crampons and give them instructions on how they should walk on the ice. In the about 1:30 hour walk on the glacier, you will be able to appreciate a wide variety of ice formations as well as cracks, glacier mills and small ponds. The trekking difficulty is moderate. The ice surface over which you walk is irregular, but firm and safe. You will get information about flora and fauna and about the particular phenomenon that only takes place in the Perito Moreno Glacier and that eventually produces its rupture.
After the ice-trek and a 20-minute boat ride back to the port. If you choose the option with transfers the tour includes a visit to the walkways of Los Glaciares National Park . There, you will be able to enjoy the amazing panoramic landscape of the Glacier and to walk along some of the self guided trails. If you choose the option without transfers, the walkways are not included. You should go by your own.
In the afternoon, after visiting the walkways and enjoying the beautiful views of the Glacier, we will be returning again to our hotels in El Calafate.

Well-organized and very informed mini trek guides! Lots of bathroom options, good communication. It is a very long day.
I booked a tour at 0730 am and the tour started late and we had to leave earlier and leave the tour because made us late and we had to go to the airport .
I booked a small group tour (less than 10 people) and paid USD 500 for this. But I ended up in a bus tour with 40 people!! The description page on TripAdvisor also says this tour is supposed to no more than 10 people. It took one hour in the morning to pick up all the guests to the bus. And the excursion on the ice was also in large group of 20 people. I tried to contact the vendor, but no reply. I filed a complaint via TripAdvisor and asked for partial refund. The dared to reject the request and told TripAdvisor that my tour was in group of 10. Fortunately, i happened to record my trecking so I finally to got refund.
Our guide Nico was incredibly friendly and helpful. Some of the other staff were a bit pushy to rush everyone through each section, however overall a great experience
My partner and I went to El Calafate specifically to do this tour. We booked in and received confirmation of our booking. On the day that we arrived at El Calafate we were notified by email that the trip had been cancelled. No good reason was provided. We spent 3 hours trying to get onto another mini-trek but nothing was available. In the end we did not do a Mini-trek. We were extremely disappointed to say the least. It is extremely unlikely that we will ever get back to El Calafate so this opportunity was lost. So if I were you I would not book with Viator for this trip in case you are cancelled at the last minute like us.
The walk was out of this world - a once in a lifetime opportunity. A bit frustrated by the unupdated information on the exchange rate for park entrance, which resulted in us having to use a credit card instead of cash. A bit of a hiccup that left a bad taste about the tour group, and not the tour. The tour was AMAZING 😍
The bus picked us up from our hotel with about 20 other people. Note that the time quoted for bus arrival is really just the start time to commute from hotel to hotel. You will need cash for the park entrance fee -- it is not included in the price you pay online. The trek itself was easy (we're in our 30s and not overweight). The guides were knowledgeable and conduct tours in english or spanish as needed. Save photos on the boat tour for the way back from the glacier. Make sure on the catwalks that you just sit and watch (and listen!) for the glacier to calve. Amazing experience. In general, this was a really cool tour. Worth the money, as it is a once in a lifetime type of experience. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
The tour was really a great experience of the glacier! Amazing views of the cracks with the different blue shades and the surrounding scenery was really awesome! The tour started later than it was supposed to, with no explanation about it. The bus is comfortable and it stops first at the walkways, (it was well organized from there on)!after that it goes to the boat to get to the other side of the lake, where the trekking will take place. The trekking on the glacier it was a lot easier than I thought it would be, based on previous reviews. It was a great experience and I had a lot of fun! Towards the end, it’s offered “whiskey on glacier rocks”, glacier water and chocolate. I wish we could have more time to explore and take pictures... I felt rushed. Overall totally worth it!
Perito Moreno is amazing and a must see. I enjoyed the additional views we gained from the boat ride to the mini trekking as well as while trekking. I felt like the group was a bit to large for this activity because it felt like we had to stay in a single file line too much. Just not my way of hiking/exploring. But I understand it’s necessary for safety, but it does take some of the fun away. It’s still worth it though, so I would recommend it.
That was definitely the best day of our vacation in Patagonia. Tour was perfect! Trekking on Perito Moreno was dream came true! So much help from guides on ice. Thanks
Excellent guides, organization, this was definitely one of the best day of my Year 2019 :) Very professional & quite easy wlak for someone who does a couple of hours of sports / week. I would do it again for sure
From start to finish we were impressed with this tour which was well organised and ran smoothly. The scenery was breathtaking and it was a truly unforgettable experience. The small size of the group allowed for a more immersive adventure & I would not hesitate to recommend this trip or Tangol.
From the moment we entered the national park, this trip with my father and sister became an unforgettable experience. The boat ride, surrounded by icebergs, with a view of the Perito Moreno, was breathtaking. Our guide was excellent, he helped us strap on our crampons, and the hike on the glacier was incredible and perfect for beginner hikers. I highly recommend this tour to anyone that comes to Argentina, it's a must!
I enjoyed it a lot but was disappointed that the ferry didn’t take us along the face of the glacier, as expected. The ferry dropped us off and picked us up at the edge of the glacier and it would have added only another ten minutes or so take us along the face, as advertised.

First off, the scenery is beautiful and the experience of hiking on a glacier is very cool. Our guides on the ice were great - very knowledgeable, fun, and safety conscious. Our group on the ice consisted of all English-speakers - and I know that everyone in our group of about 10-12 had a good time. The downside is that this was not truly a small group tour. We were picked up from our hotel in a large tour bus with about 40 other people, most of which did not speak English. The tour guide on the bus mostly spoke in Spanish and by the time she got around to speaking English which was very difficult to hear and understand, we were long past the site and had no context for anything at which we were looking. Also, the tour is expensive for what it is. Most of the time you're walking on platforms looking at the glacier by yourself and without a guide, and the ice trek is only a small portion of the day, so it felt over-priced. However, the ice trek itself was a great experience, so just know going-in, the tour is not exactly as advertised and it's expensive, but you'll still have a good time. And P.S., any remotely physically fit person can do this tour - no experience needed.

Tour of the park everything was malhavilla, but the mini trekking would be unique experience and was sensational!I would like to congratulate the 2 guides are attentive and friendly and telling the formation of the glacier and take care of us to the end! The views were spectacular , we caught incredible moment that we saw glaciers fell making noise , it was too spectacular ! We captured the video that Pena can only post photos kkkk! It's worth it!
You must do it, you travel to the caulk then you must make the decision to do it and live this experience, it is safe, it is incredible, it is somewhat demanding about the effort, a little high the price but it is worth I take you to catwalks at the end then it's the most complete since you also sail
Our guide (believe the boss himself) set an immense pace. 5 1/2 hours on foot. But was sensational and absolutely worthwhile.
The walk was great except for the search where we were staying, which was at friends' house. You only get picked up by a hotel, the reason is not to make so many stops. I was surprised by the mule Capacity (in covers) and flexibility, the unwillingness to see if it was possible to adapt to what the client asked for, considering the value of the excursion that left twice as much as the airfare, because of which we were moved to look for a nearby hotel three blocks away where we were the only ones getting on (so if we had been moved to look for where we were it was the same number of stops) the problem was that for that reason, we had to wait for them on the street between 20 and 30 minutes at 7 in the morning with 3 degrees, just because of the inability of the Enterprise management to adapt a little.
An organization at the top, for a day at the top!!! Accessible to all, a privileged moment on the glacier, to do urgently if you are in Patagonia
The crampon hike through the Perito Moreno Glacier is an experience I recommend. The blue hue, the figures that form on the ice, the cracks, the pools with crystal clear water from which you can drink and the mind-blowing landscapes, with a toast with whiskey cooled with millennial ice and top guides.
The ice walking tour must be done if or if because it is spectacular... that does carry enough silver in cash xq is quite expensive and with card is more. The scenery is beautiful... you have to take the food for lunch, which you do looking at the glacier.
After a walk near the glacier, with multiple viewpoints all more dazzling than the last, the mini trek crampons at the foot completes the experience in a magical way. Several agencies offer this excursion... Tangol via Tripadvisor is not the cheapest.
The glacier trekking tour is wonderful, a wonderful, unique experience, not complicated or difficult at all, highly recommended.
The tour was amazing, even being 2 hours of tekking was not exhausting and was worth every minute. The guide was super attentive even making breaks when we got tired. The Enterprise Tangol, responsible for our tour, met all expectations. SUPER I recommend their Service. Me and my friends love it, who likes an adventure can not help doing this tour!!!!
