Fabulous experience with breathtaking views. The trip was very well planned and the guide was so knowledgable as well as very nice and helpful. Would definitely recommend.

Itinerary
Relax aboard a comfortable coach as you travel along the scenic Route 11, which skirts the shores of Lago Argentino. Along the way, your guide will share fascinating insights into the park’s diverse wildlife and the significance of Perito Moreno as part of the vast Patagonian Ice Fields, one of the world's largest reserves of fresh water.
Your first dramatic view of Perito Moreno comes at the 'Curve of Sighs'—a scenic turn in the road offering sweeping panoramic vistas of the glacier and the surrounding landscape. From here, you’ll begin to appreciate the immensity of the glacier’s 60-meter-high (196-foot) front wall, which plunges into the waters of Lago Argentino.
Continue to the park's iconic glacier walkways, which offer stunning, multi-level viewing platforms. From these strategic spots, you'll be able to take in panoramic views of the glacier from various angles and elevations. Capture incredible photos of the glacier's jagged ice formations, towering cliffs, and the surrounding Patagonian landscape.
For a closer encounter with the glacier, take the optional boat ride from Puerto Bajo Las Sombras. Set sail across the Rico Arm of Lake Argentino, navigating between floating icebergs as you approach the towering ice face. As you get up close, watch for spectacular ice calving—a dramatic natural event when chunks of ice break off and crash into the water below.
After your visit to the glacier, enjoy some free time to relax, explore the area, or have lunch at one of the nearby restaurants offering views of the glacier. The surrounding scenery is equally captivating, with majestic mountains, lakes, and forests providing a stunning backdrop. Return to El Calafate After a day filled with natural wonders, you'll board the coach for the return trip to El Calafate, where your adventure concludes.

Fabolous time, seeing the glacier awesome. The boat ride to the glacier, all good. The walking trails perfect condition.
Only get the package for transportation, do not add the optional boat tour through Viator. It is twice the cost as the price you would pay locally if you want to add it on later at the day of travel. Viator contracts a local company and the local company allows to add the boat tour for anyone who wants to do it. The on the spot cost is ARS 65,000 which is about $45, way less than the $100 that Viator charges. Apart from that the glaciers itself are amazing and a must visit! We had an amazing time, and got to see them upclose, and also break and fall off
Seem to have dealt with alot of companies on this trip; Tangol, Gigantes Patagones, and the tour operator on the day seemed to be Tiempolibre who supplied the coaches and tour guide. Prompt pickup at my hotel and a bus feeder transfer to a coach outside El Calafate. Was booked to do the optional boat ride at 10AM with balcones after. You can also buy the park ticket at the park entrance 45,000 ars with cash or card. Toilet breaks along the way, and there is a Cafe at the glacier centre. After getting our boat tickets we were then told the boat had departed, and the boat was cancelled until 1PM. So we did the balcones first. No big deal. Stunning glacier and good narration in English. I would recommend this trip.
Great scenery the boat went as close as allowed and we had great weather. Downside, so crowded on the boat and some people are so focused on taking selfies for a very long time not caring there are other people waiting for photo opportunities
Tudor was an excellent company to work with. I had personnel changes to make and it was done smoothly. The communication was above expectations. Very quick to respond, thorough. Anna was our guide to the park and her English was excellent. She answered all our questions thoroughly. We had enough time on our own to Tori the glacier boardwalk viewpoints and get a bite. The cafeteria was packed so it was good we brought our own snacks and avoided the cafeteria which was warm anyway. Bathrooms at the park were good. The boat tour was very good. The crew was organized and safely boarded and deboarded us. The captain gave us good views. Melody was good in her explanation and English. Tudor vehicle was modern and comfortable. Group size was under 20 and a good size so we got in and out of stops quickly.
This is a must-do, and you MUST book the optional boat tour. We warned - the weather between El Calafate and the glacier can be very different - prepare for cooler and possibly wet weather. Even if you think you would not be interested in seeing the glacier, once you are there, you will be glad you went.
Great experience and very informative. Its been a dream of mine to see Perito Moreno. I was exhausted at the end.
Natalia is an excellent guide and the driving was good. The entire experience was fabulous, I am very glad that we included the boat tour.
You will be charged additional usd 65 when booked the boat tour via viator with them. Just get your own ticket of boat tour there. in the park the boat tour will be only 63k pesos. And when reached out via viatour, no reward or no partial refund was offered.
Well paced , knowledgeable and friendly guide, confident in completing tour in English and Spanish and as we were the only 2 English speaker we were not left out or wondering things Analia was fabulous and ensured we saw the most we could weather permitting , take clothes for every weather , we had bright sunshine , 90kmph winds , rain and sleet . But the weather just enhanced the experience
Perito Moreno Glacier Day Trip & Boat Ride: Worth Every Moment The full-day trip to Perito Moreno is an essential Patagonian experience, and the added boat navigation transforms it from amazing to truly unforgettable. After exploring the extensive network of boardwalks, which offer breathtaking panoramic views of the glacier's 240-foot face, the one-hour boat ride provides a crucial, up-close perspective. Sailing into the Canal de los Témpanos, you feel the glacier's immense scale and hear the powerful, thunderous cracks as massive chunks of ice calve and crash into the water—a spectacle you might miss from the land. The sheer blue color of the ice seen from the water is mesmerizing, offering photo opportunities that are completely different from the walkways. This combination of land views and water proximity ensures you capture the full majesty of this actively growing natural wonder. It’s an easy, well-organized, and awe-inspiring day that is highly recommended.
Great guide and driver .. they picked us up on time and explained passionately throughout .. Great experuance overall..
It is the great place. The tour was well organised. Guide was great. Everything was perfect. Life time experience
The Glacier National Park is definitely unmissable and is an exciting and fantastic day trip. Whilst our guide was really cheerful and pleasant and gave us some interesting info on the glacier, and we also stopped at some nice places to take photos of it from a distance, it was rather a lot of money to pay for what was a convenient bus ride. A smart bus though. But unless you hire a car your travel options are very limited! Note you pay for the national park entry yourself using cash only (pesos only accepted) or you can pay on line via the national parks website. It's around $42 US on conversion. But you can pay for the boat trip at the quayside in cash or by credit card.
This beautiful scenery plus a well-run tour equaled just what we wanted! It was easy to sign up for this tour because we prefer easy hiking and great photos, which we got! The boat ride was an hour long- we stayed on the upper deck and took some awesome glacial photos. The majority of the other passengers went downstairs after the first 30 minutes, which gave us more photo opportunities. We brought our own lunches, and enjoyed walking along the shoreline in the park after our guide showed us how to use the simple color-coded trail system. The trails were made of sturdy metal-grated steps and pathways with railings. Before reuniting with our group back at the bus, we stopped for refreshments at the park’s snack bar. It was a very enjoyable and memorable day! (Be sure to purchase your national park tickets online beforehand, and study whether a 1, 2 or 3 day pass makes the most sense for you).
It is wonderful trip. With pick up at hostel, very convenient. We have trouble with get national park tickets online. Our guide help us resolve it. The whole trip is smooth.
So much more than expected! Beautiful scenery and breathtaking views! Awed by its magnificence! Do not miss! I would highly recommend!
Drive to a scenic view. Very touristy but that’s to be expected. Got about 2 hours to independently explore the area and park with informative guide
All went well it’s a beautiful place you need local currency if you buy the ticket at the gate or pay online if you have time pack some food and enjoy it on your walk
Well prepared, well communicated! The guide Anita is very knowledgeable in the area and tells us lots about the national park, lakes and glaciers
Everything worked out as promised. We had a perfect day. Pablo our guide was very helpful and knowledgeable. The bus was very comfortable and we had plenty of space The trip to Perito Moreno glacier is awesome and very impressive
Lovely, but overpriced for what it is and park fees on top. Could be longer as it was rushed. However the admin team (Melany) and guide of Huella del Sur were excellent and very accommodating
Incredible experience. Our guide, Martin, was very knowledgeable and shared so many facts with us with positive energy throughout. For those that didn’t want/could find mini-trekking, this is a worthwhile alternative. Although you don’t walk on the ice, you’re able to see the glaciers from different vantage points (boat ride was great).
Pros: We started from El Calafatae, where the company contact punctually picked us up at 9:00. Our guide, Pablo, was very patient and explained everything in detail. The weather was perfect, and we could take the boat tour to see the Perito Moreno Glacier. Cons: The trip was expensive compared to all the other providers. We were charged $240/person, whereas other companies charged $150 for the trip to the national park, including the boat tour. I was under the impression that this tour would also take us to Upsala Glaciers, but the tour was very much the same as $150 (trip to the national park + boat tour). Please don't go for this trip unless you want to be in a van with less than 20 people( I am not sure what advantage it provides)
Excellent trip. Very informative and worth the money. My partner and I went expecting way less. The view was truly magnificent
What can I say. Wow! One of the highlights of our visit to Patagonia. If you only visit one place, this must too if your list. Incredible. Our guide Nadia was fabulous. Fun, informative & such a lovely lady. A truly memorable day with my husband & son 😊
The park is fantastic, and should be visited. The tour group leaves a lot to be desired. The bus pick-up was more than 45 minutes late and we were told it was the fault of the tourists, not the tour company. This time was cut off the time we had to visit the catwalks and see the actual glacier. You would be better off renting a car and driving there yourself. Once again, the park is worth a visit, but yoy shoukld avoid the tour companies. They are only interested in maximum profit, not your tour experience.
Amazing tour! The glacier is absolutely stunning! Highly recommend the boat tour to be able to see it up close! Nati was the best tour guide I’ve had - shared all her tips and tricks for making the most of the tour and having the first and best views!
We were picked up from our hotel on time. The bus was nice and clean and comfortable. Driver was good and our tour guide was excellent. Explained exactly what to expect and shared about Perito Moreno. And amazing day.
We loved visiting the perito moreno glacier! Our guide was really good and offered information about the glacier and the region, also the flora, on our way to the glacier. Note that you can pay for entry to the park online and not only in cash; just do it while you have WiFi or cell service because there is no service at the station ask entrance. Sometimes they allow payment in credit card at the entrance via a machine but it seems like it does not always work. The glacier itself is spectacular. We went in winter (June) and it was cloudy to start but the clouds gradually lifted and we had amazing views. We were supposed to do the boat tour as well but it was canceled due to fog and we were promptly refunded that part of the cost. Highly recommend this tour!
The tour was great. We were brought to the glacier with a couple different viewpoints, and then we had three hours on the boardwalks, partially guided by our guide Nadia, who is phenomenal, and partially on our own. Then we did the boat tour, which was really good too. There was a very cute shop with food and souvenirs. Also that we stopped at. The glacier is breathtaking. Definitely worth a day if you’re in the El Calafate area.
The tour was great. Could have been even better if there were more information about the gracier, history etc.
Guide was nice and the driver was great! However, the value for the price was not there. While the guide was super nice and engaging on the way to the glacier including sharing great history and biological information, etc., it was essentially just a shuttle to the glacier where everyone wondered around on their own and were picked up a few hours later. There were many other bus services there around 50-60% cheaper which did the same (perhaps with a little less interaction/guides.
Leandro was a wonderful guide. Very approachable and very informative. Nothing was too much trouble. The “tour” is very much a DIY affair and that’s probably for the best. The boat trip to the glacier itself is well worth the extra money.
The bus was 45 minutes late to my hotel. The hostess did apologize. Otherwise, this was more a transportation than a guided tour. We were left at the glacier to walk on our own and regather at 2pm. For 372 US dollars, they need to do a lot better.
The visit of the glacier is something that I totally recommend to everyone! Our guide, Jenny, and the driver came on time at my hotel to pick me up and the whole logistic of the tour was smooth and nice. She also helped me to book a boat ticket to see closer the glacier. What I really liked was the passion and the well detailed as well as varied explanations and info given by Jenny. Without her the visit would not have been the same. The driver was so kind to leave me in downtown afterwards to enjoy a nice walk in the city center of El Calafate.
I usually dismiss low reviews as bitter people, but I feel compelled to share our experience. Coming for the first time I didn’t want to disappoint my family so I decided this tour would be a good option. If you have a rental car you can make this easy drive from El Calafate. Your time at the glacier is all self guided. You can book your own boat tour. We spent a lot of money for a bid ride and a guide who didn’t share any information of interest. Don’t fall for this
The trip and service were good, except that it was highly overpriced. Accidentally, I made another reservation for the Perito Moreno Glacier trip with a boat trip and hotel pick-up through another agency. This was priced higher by over $100. Before the cancellation due dates, upon reviewing the activities, I was led to believe that this higher-priced option offered more, and seeking to maximize our experience, we opted for this one and canceled the previous booking. It turned out that this option offered nothing more than what the other agency provided (which also delivered good service with the other activity we booked with them during this trip). A hotel pick-up to the Perito Moreno Glacier, where they left us for 2-3 hours, followed by a drive to the boat ride and then ride back to our hotel. I tried filing for Viator's lowest price guarantee, providing the link and snapshots from the other experience provider with their offered price and itinerary, but they just came back to me saying the tour operator states that this is how it should be priced. So if you want to save your money big time, do a little more research.
Our guide (Nadia was her name I think) was amazing. So informative and spoke English so well. She shared so much interesting information with us, and answered any questions we had. She also gave us great tips about other things to see and do (not selling anything). Also it was so convenient to have a pick up at our hotel with a drop-off close by. Since we are over 65, we could not walk on the glacier, so this tour turned out to be an outstanding alternative with so many ways to view the glacier. I would highly recommend it!
If you have your own ride, do this one on your own. The facility picks you up and takes you to the national park (the park fee isn’t included with the tour). Then a boat ride that is only for one hour to the glacier and then they drive you back to the hotel. We paid $800 for 4 people. We could’ve definitely done this on our own and saved some money and enjoyed more time at the site. The national park is definitely worth seeing however the tour isn’t necessary in my opinion.
The beautiful view of the Glaciar, that was an amazing road at bus. Argentina surprised me with every thing
The tour is nice, however far too expensive. You can get all this for a much lower price and probably also a nice tourguide and a driver that turns off the engine while waiting...
It was great to see this giant Glacier up close, hear it cracking and seeing chunks of ice fall off.
A wonderful experience! Wonderful tour guide and driver, stunning glaciers, safe and efficient transportation. An amazing experience and we are glad we chose this tour!
This is so good!!! I was picked up at my hotel and literally didn’t have to worry about anything. I was informed days prior about what I would need and everything was so smooth. Nadia, our guide was amazing and had so much energy and charisma and really made it special. I had so much time to walk around the park. The boat tour was really cool to see the glaciers so close. Such a cool experience
Excellent explanation and experience. A must do. Once in a lifetime! The guide was amazing gave lots of information and interesting facts. We absolutely loved it!
Very nice experience thanks for Tangol company .. they picked up and returned on time .. perito moreno is beautiful landscape and definitely deserves a trial
The tour itself was very good with a knowledgeable guide and beautiful scenery on the lake and at the glacier. There seems to be something lost in translation. As part of the instructions is a note about having to pay for National Park entry fee. They give you a website that is terrible and not clear what ticket you are buying. I ended up with the wrong ticket and was not told I could pay in the bus. This needs to be made clearer. The tour itself was great. You spend a long time on the boat going to with 300m of the glacier so you have ample Opportunity to get great photos of the glacier. Afterwards, you go to the balconies where you have a few hours to have a walk ok. The trails and grab some foos.
It was a good trip I was disappointed we thought we were going to get to walk on the glacier unfortunately that activity was not available since it’s winter time and it can be dangerous. I wished that it would have stated that in the description. I think it would have been cheaper if we rented a vehicle and had gone on our own. Overall it was a great experience to take pictures and learn about the Perito Moreno Glacier. Our guide was excellent and extremely knowledgeable about the region.
