Great boat trip. We loved the Glaciers and the lunch venue. We booked on Vaitor and there was a big mess up somewhere between Viator and the tour company. We were told 830am pick up at our hotel. We received a call at 7:30 AM to ask why we were not ready for pick up. We caught a taxi to the jetty which cost us US$60. The tour company confirmed they would refund us and after requesting a refund, they denied the refund on the basis that there was a confusion over the ticket, even though we received two reminders to pick up at the hotel at 8:30 AM. My advice is that you take great care when confirming whether you are booking a transfer or no transfer and what your subsequent pick up time is.

Itinerary
After picking up the passengers from their central hotels from 7 am, we will head in a comfortable bus to the Port of Punta Bandera, located 47 km from El Calafate. For those who select the non-transfer option, we will meet at the Port of Punta Bandera at 8:30 am to start sailing.
Once all passengers are on board, sailing begins on the North Arm of Lake Argentina at 9 am. We crossed the Devil’s Mouth to the Uppsala Canal, sailing between huge floes detached from the front of the Uppsala Glacier. As you enter the Spegazzini Canal, you will enjoy a panoramic view of various glaciers, with the opportunity to take pictures at designated stops to observe the imposing ice blocks.
Throughout the tour, passengers will have the opportunity to view several of the numerous glaciers found in Lago Argentino, including the Seco Glacier, the Spegazzini Glacier, the South Heim Glacier, and the Peineta Glacier. During navigation, you can admire the ice blocks from various angles, which will allow you to capture the best photographs.
We will disembark at La Base Spegazzini to trek through the 300-meter path through the forest to the Spegazzini Refuge. It is accessible and does not represent complexity since it is done on firm ground. Posting will be done at different stations (Glaciology - History - Fauna and Flora) with viewpoints overlooking the entire Bay of Glaciers. Once in the Refuge you can enjoy the gastronomy, the shop and an incredible panoramic view from its rooms and from the outside (Deck & Terrace). Another possibility is to take the mountain trail, of medium difficulty through a wooded path, with natural viewpoints, full of incredible views that ends at the landing point.
Once back on board the boat, we will continue with the second part of the navigation until reaching Punta Bandera, where it is expected to arrive around 4 pm. Later, for those who have selected the option with transfer, the return to El Calafate will be scheduled for approximately 5 pm.

Reviews
It was exceptional and well organised. Everything went to plan and was on time from pick up to drop off.
If you’ve never seen icebergs and glaciers before this is good but if you have it’s not worth it. The company is fine. The boat was crowded and there were over 200 people in board in economy class seating. You can walk around. Either take lunch or pre order. There are some things on the boat but would also recommend board games or distractions if you have kids. It’s a long day
Leaving this review because there are no reviews in English and because the description of this tour is not accurate on viator, but it’s an amazing tour and should be bragged about. This tour is mostly Spanish speaking tourists. But the guides speak in both English and Spanish. You see some amazing icebergs and glaciers during this tour. You won’t see Perito Moreno glacier which was perfect for me because I did a full day tour of perito on another day. So if you want to see more glaciers and icebergs, aside from perito, this tour is perfect. It is quite cold on this tour, so bundle up because if you want great photos of the icebergs and glaciers, you’ll be going in and out of the boat to take pics, then back in to warm up! There will be lots of people trying to take pics on the deck so get your shots, then move out of the way so others can get their shots. The boat does pause at the grand sights for everyone to get their pics. But not for the smaller icebergs. So catch them if you can! I basically got my shots then returned to inside the boat repeated in order to stay warm between photo shoots. They sell warm drinks and snacks on the boat to keep you warm and happy. And at the end of the tour, you’ll dock to have lunch at the restaurant. Or you can hike around. But it’s pretty cold. Overall, a great tour! amazing pics!
It was a wonderful experience, all the staff very friendly and helpful. The very safe catamaran and the exceptional glacier visit
We were picked up by a combi from the hotel, very friendly. They took us several km to where we boarded a boat, a sublime experience, the front of the glacier is something indescribable for the extraordinary, the very good explanations, when you return they wait for you and leave you in the afternoon night at the hotel. Highly recommended. Don't stop doing it.
A wonderful experience. Unique views of the glaciers. The guides were excellent. The haven where lunch is made, beautiful and with amazing views.
Boat trip where you can see the glaciers in the distance, but it is like seeing them on the walkways and it is free... I prefer the excursion where you will touch the glacier with the blue safari. Besides, I was queuing up to be stamped on migrations and he came after us a group with a guide, and they got ahead of us to board earlier and stay in the best places, a lack of respect... they treat you like cattle... besides you complain and justify themselves... they are a lot of scumbags.
They really charged me a fortune to see a Floe near and glaciers one at 500 and the other at 2000 meters Attention to charge admission to the park UNA VERGÜENZA ENDLESS QUEUES AND SCREAMING LIKE WE'RE LIVESTOCK NEVER AGAIN DID THIS PLACE
Excellent service from only Patagonia offering a complete package of boat transportation, Guides and gastronomy. The Spegazzini refuge is worth seeing.
cruise of about 6 hours, very well organized part on foot (restaurant, toilets, etc.) stops with explanations to do if you are in El Calafqte correct price for the service
Amazing tour! Beautiful navigation across the lake, passing by the Upsala Glacier and the Spegazzini Glacier. On the way we can see icebergs that have broken off and the images are surreal! Pay extra to stay on the top deck! It is worth it! The place where we stopped for lunch also has a wonderful view!
I dindt like it at all. We took the captain's club experience and it was all disappointment. I felt like it was a waste of time. I expected the glaciers we visited to be amazing and they are the same as seeing the perito moreno so it is not worth the excursion. I also thought that the experience with the guide would be super personalized but no, he explained almost nothing unlike the guide who was in the main room who talked all the time. You are on the boat for 7 meaningless hours. The food is very basic. I would have loved to have read this before taking it out because I really felt like I wasted the day.
Spectacular!!!! Imposing and the stop at the refuge incredible! The walk is really worth it. Although today you cannot see Uppsala up close, visiting the Spegazzini is worth it. This visit is highly recommended.
Highly recommended for all ages, incredible views, lots of nature, a way to approach the glacier with kindness and care for the environment, beautiful landscapes
Something that no one imagines, until you arrive and see that wonder. The imposing glacier, higher than Perito Moreno. Around the forests and the Argentine Lake with the green color of its water, they make it one of a kind.
Well, let's go in parts, first we do the glacier excursion through Solopatagonia on the boat Vadis, the boat at first looks like a flea market from selling you photos. Bar and meals to have in the refuge now we are going to the excursion as such the last time I did this excursion before this time more Glaciers were visited in today as such you can only see the spegazzini in the upxala from where the boat stays To be able to see it you need some binoculars, anyway, if you fancy a boat ride, well
Gran recorrido! Sirvió para conocer y disfrutar de los hermosos paisajes del Lago Argentino. Abrígate bien, al salir a la parte exterior del bote el viento esta helado. Lo recomiendo.
I didn't imagine so much beauty... a stunning landscape! Perfect sailing with excellent onboard Service. Super recommended. It is not necessary to carry life. On site there is a refuge to buy plates of food or fast food, all very fresh and tasteful
Unbelievable. When I booked the tour I had some doubts because I paid around $90 per person and I didn’t know if it was worth it. The answer is that personally I think so. It has been a beautiful experience and we have known glaciers that we would not have seen otherwise. The boat staff is super friendly. The base where one stops for lunch is first class and you can take your own food to warm up there totally free. You can also buy food there.
A very complete excursion with all the necessary explanations about the glaciers and about the same boat in which the navigation is carried out. You can take your time to take pictures by the glacier or by the mountains that look very beautiful from the bow or stern of the boat. It has a bathroom, cafeteria and plugs in case you run out of battery. There are cameramen who take pictures of you and/or your family, partner or whoever accompanies you. Then they sell the printed photo. After visiting the two glaciers, they stop at a market where they sell souvenirs and food (quite expensive everything). You can also take pictures of the glacier from the same place. After you've been there a long time, you have to get back on the boat to get back to the caulk.
You arrive by car or you have to hire transfer or transfer because it is several kilometers from Calafate. The walk is beautiful, sail between the ices that pass you nearby and the view of the two glaciers Upsala and spegazzini, take a long time for everyone to see. The catamaran is full of people, surely if you can afford the top you have better view and fewer people, in the catamaran you can eat and drink something or you can also take your food because everyone is sitting with shared tables in front of each one type long table with long seats with 8 people approx along, if you go early you sit on the sides that have the windows, the last ones are in the middle, you see the same but from the middle. The outside part of it collapses because everyone goes out to take pictures, but it gives time for everyone to go out.
It is worth this navigation, where you mainly observe the glaciers Uppsala and Spegazzini, keep in mind that for a few years the Uppsala will be seen at a distance of 12 km , no boat can get closer for safety , the Spegazzini is seen close , I recommend if the day is cute to bring your own lunch and at the stop that you get off for lunch , do it in the armchairs of the wooden deck in front of the glacier and not enter the restaurant
It is an obligation to do this sailing of about six hours if you are in El Calafate. The pity is that I made it about 12 years ago and it was a much better experience. On the previous route the view of icebergs of all sizes and colors was continuous. Today they are much scarcer. It is a very good and recommended experience, but it is unfortunate that it is worse than the sailing years ago. It would be highly recommended that they recover the route from years ago.
The experience is spectacular, certainly after the minitrek, it should be the obligatory tour to do. Good organization and comfortable and spacious boats. It's very cold!
Very nice experience. The tour is unmissable and the landscapes imposing. We enjoyed it a lot as a family and with a little girl
All agencies sell the same excursion as it is the only Enterprise that does it. I guess that monopoly makes the price excessive for the Service they provide. It is a catamaran ride to the Soegazzini Glacier. Al Upsala hasn't been around for years. I thought it was very commercial. Much of the excursion focuses on selling the Photographic Service. The catamaran is cute and the views beautiful. Maybe it'll get long. It is several hours of sailing to see the glacier. The shelter where they stop to eat is very cute and has ovens in which you can heat the food bought on site or carried by the passenger. At this time there was no queue so it would have been more comfortable to buy it. It hits you in the shelter. I wasn't convinced by the cost/benefit ratio. It's a $25000 field trip. I think they could at least include a photo or a snack for that value. Above there is a sector of the boat destined for the vip excursion that has included food. Ideal for retirees who do not want to do adventure tourism.. they spend it saying that the Spegazzini is twice as high as the Moreno Expert. Expertise is impressive and enjoyed at very low cost
I find it a very expensive excursion, and it lasts a long time. Sitting or standing still for so long, I had a very sunny day and I was sitting by the window... it was torture. And it was not clear to me that you can hardly see Uppsala Glacier, which for safety reasons no longer let the boat approach as it did years ago. They made a descent on a small beach and made us walk a little to tell the story of the wild cows....I thought it was a cheap fill...without any historical importance, it could have been told from the boat....anyway I think since you can not reach the Uppsala and its floes this excursion is no longer the same. I emphasize that it is very good navigation of the north face of the Perito Moreno Glacier...but this excursion can be done separately , it leaves near the walkways and lasts only 1 hour.
Unmissable excursion if you visit El Calafate. Very good boat and Service. The treatment of the photographers is very friendly and friendly. We travel on the boat "Quo Vadis" Recommendation: arrive early to be one of the first to board the boat to choose a seat next to the windows.
It's not worth the price. Instead of promoting domestic tourism we are scared, they prefer to lose customers with excursion prices. They don't give you a glass of water. The upsala glacier that is the largest you see from afar, the only good thing is the landing, the rest is not worth the cost and think how much silver they earn filling the boat, when the fuel expenditure is the same go one person or 50
