Great boat trip! Staff, food and service was excellent! Good narrative about glaciers. Captain navigated boat to allow for views on all sides.

Buy your glacier cruise in El Calafate as soon as you arrive because the cruises sell out. There are a couple different glacier cruises. We took the Upsala, Spengazzini cruise which I highly recommend. We cruised Lago Argentina and up two of the arms. It was beautiful. The water was an unbelievable turquoise blue with floating ice bergs. After visiting one of the glacier up close you disembark on the shore for lunch. You can bring a lunch, purchase a hot lunch from the boat, or purchase food from the cafeteria overlooking the glacier. You can eat inside or on the deck overlooking the glacier. If you want to go in luxury you can purchase passage in the Captain’s cabin riding in a private room in the front of the boat with food and wine served throughout the cruise. We took my father and it was a perfect way for those who can’t go trekking to see the glaciers. Also, this cruise allowed us to see different glaciers other than Perito Merreno which we mini-trekked.

I paid for the trip and got the 'confirmed' status. I've asked for - and received - the precise pickup time for our hotel. They asked for additional passenger data and thanked me for providing them with all they needed. Then, late afternoon right before the cruise, they sent me an email saying they have to cancel because they don't know where to pick us up from. All the despite the fact they got this information from Viator, set the precise pickup time and confirmed the completeness of data. A call to their office revealed that, apparently, they will not be running the cruise on Saturday. Calling their office, with one person talking loudly in the background and another person loudly whistling (seriously?!) in the background was a really bad experience. Trust me, you don't want to be doing all this last minute, in the middle of Patagonia, with spotty wifi/cell reception. I ended up going with another, reliable company for the short boat trip + boardwalks. It was great. Book one of these instead.

the Vitator offer El Calafate Glaciers Sightseeing Cruise is exactly the same like the Rios de Hielo Express boat tour offered by many companies for the same Price or even a bether Price. I did not want to do this very short Rios de Hielo Express boat tour, thats why I ve choosen this offer by vitator. as it has promised something different and a longer tour. Promise broken, Vitator offeres this tour as an 8 hrs tour, but it was only 7 hrs, with only 5 hrs boat tour. 2 hrs were hotel pick up and Transfer to port. So a 5 hrs boat tour is by far not the "full day boat tour" Vitator has offered. We are disappointed.

Our confirmation for this tour indicated hotel pickup at 8:30am. When we tried to confirm this with Grey Line Argentina it was as though we didn't exist. We were asked twice to email our names, passport details, tour booking reference and still received no assistance. Thanks to the persistence of a kind person at our hotel who tracked down the Calafate tour provider, we were picked up at 7am for the tour. While we've used Viator tours in many countries previously and happily, this one has left us with an unhappy experience in terms of organisation and communication. It appears that the confirmation information for this tour has been updated with correct pickup time and a Viator phone number. It would have been very useful to have that in January! The tour itself is beautiful and amazing. Highly recommended.

My experience was good overall. The cruise was excellent and a staff member who spoke English translated the main commentary for the small number of folks on board who weren't fluent in Spanish. The sights we saw were amazing, and even though I visited in spring, it started snowing while we were on the water! The bus driver to and from the cruise was okay, not ecplaining some practical things in English, and not explaining others at all, which is why I'm giving four stars. However, it's an inexpensive way to get to the dock without driving yourself. My hotel concierge arranged this tour for me.

<p>Glaciers are very impressive! The tour lasts a full day, you will need to have your own lunch because the ship has only a coffee shop. Be prepared for the wind.</p>

<p>Actually this tour met all my expectation enjoyining all graciers as expected. Staff service during the tour is also very good. One improvement point if I could request, lunch service during tour will be appreciated, but we can bring it into the trou, so it would not be a big deal. I would like to recommend this tour for all visitors without any doubts.</p>

<p>We booked the trip whilst travelling, then found out that we had to print vouchers and telephone local agents - so not a very relaxed start. </p>

<p>Amazing tour, it was very beautiful and everything was arranged. Bear in mind though that you have to pay the national park entrance fee. But it was totally worth it. They contacted our hotel in advance, and confirmed pick up time with us. Everything went according to plan and we were happy with the guides as well.</p>

A tour that guarantees very beautiful landscapes! Porto, close to the Spegazzini Glacier, has a very good structure for you to have a meal, stroll on the beach and sit and admire the mountains and the lake.

This tour is unmissable. You see indescribable landscapes, the shining blue of the icebergs, the detachment of ice sheets, the contrast of the blue of the lake with the white of the ice... it's sensational!!!!

I don’t give it maximum score because unfortunately we had a rainy and very cloudy day, but it is still one of the most beautiful excursions in Calafate. We have to do it.

Unique and unrivalled experience of glacier navigation. It’s amazing to see the huge and majestic walls of ice up close, to appreciate their various colors, to hear their sounds as they fall, to feel in the middle of nature and its majesty. In our case we had very good weather and temperature but I suggest being prepared for the cold. During sailing a guide is responsible for recounting the particularities of the place. It is one of those experiences that you can not stop living!!! Unmissable.

We never thought to see as much beauty as we did on this ride. The views are stunning. Tip: bring your own food for lunch.

Spectacular tour, but price above the world average. Visit to glaciers, to the side of icebergs for photos, inclusive snack, mini treking, a real profitable day. Meanwhile, the price is above the world average of tours. The Argentine and Chilean themselves also found the tours in El Calafate very expensive.

Glacier cruises are awesome. Continuing through the icebergs, the icebergs may collapse, or you may use the iceberg ice to drink and eat sandwiches as you approach the glacier. The glacier collapse was more than an iceberg.

An experience to remember, we chose summer that is not the cheapest season but in compensation the one that allows you to enjoy more the glacial, not only we went to Perito Moreno which is the one that all agencies offer you but we took one by bus ship that allowed us to see that one from another angle and others more. Calafate has more to do than the glacials, visit him.

This full-day tour runs through the glaciers of the El Calafe region. Very well organized. A spectacle to observe these great works of nature. Unforgettable. If possible, the VIP ticket is worth it. Separate room and lunch much better. In the tour class, lunch is a snack...

Unforgettable walk in the Maria Turquoise trimaran visiting the three glaciers. You rating it to the experienced captain as it allows all passengers, port and starboard not to miss details of the views. Good lunch with classic Patagonian lamb sandwich

and a unique experience to make a tour navigating the Argentine lake and stopping in front of the glaciers to observe especially when you unravel some piece and a show of unforgettable nature the catamaran has a good infrastructure with snack bar on board and all the comfort, a warning to those who buy packages in Brazil do not buy the tours together with the trip because you will definitely pay much more expensive or ask the value of each tour and search the internet because they charge in dollars and a value well above the real value that is charged in pesos and has several companies that do the tours .

for those who are still able to get excited... the view of the glaciers satisfies this feeling, the blue color of the ice, the majesty of nature seen so closely, makes every minute fulfilling with their eyes pointed towards so much wonder

Super happy and wonderful with the cruise experience. It brings us closer to the three glaciers in a spectacular way. I was fortunate enough to hire the VIP experience, where in addition to the glacier navigation the Uppsala, Spegazzini and Perito Moreno offered us a Food Service in times. Be delighted with the Service, the wonderful scenery and the attention. The glacier experience is magical! 100% recommended!

Excursion essential for travelers to Calafate . Almost comparable to Perito Moreno. You can't fail to see those wonders that I don't think you can see in other parts of the world.

Good: I did the GOURMET GLACIERS excursion and it was one of the best excursions I experienced in my life; the landscape is perfect, there is only nature and beauty everywhere... see how the glaciers are born, how they form , how they fall as if they were rivers, it is spectacular !!! The boat guides have a training that I would say is PERFECT, they are divine !!! super polite, informed and dedicated to their work, you rating that they like what they do !!!! The captain of the boat a total genius !!! super dedicated !!! passengers can enter the cabin, chat with him, take pictures .. and he is so spectacularly FRIENDLY, that you get the boat as close as you can so you can see the floes, penguins and birds of the island. It's GREAT!!!! The service throughout the tour is excellent!! Without a doubt, it is the best excursion I have ever done in my life, I will never forget this experience!!! A separate mention deserves the owner of the Enterprise, whom we could meet and the one who KINDLY listened to all our compliments and suggestions..... DON'T MISS THIS EXPERIENCE!!! Beautiful! We did a trekking on the glacier, quite easy. Unforgettable! Magic colors

The tours are quite expensive given the ones we are used to here in Brazil. It's in a very tourist style. Air-conditioned boat with comfortable armchairs. But what it takes is the cold on the outside and being near the glaciers. I suggest taking some snacks, as it's kind of expensive to eat in there. Unless you want a hot drink.

We did a spectacular cruise in the Capitan cabin with very good Service on board.The landscape, the tempanos the glaciers, the colors are unmissable. I really recommend it.

The walk I did was full day and we sailed seeing the Spegazzini and Uppsala glaciers. Luckily the time accompanied the ride and we had lunch on the boat a rich lamb sandwich... it is worth seeing the majesty of our beautiful glaciers.

Nunca llego el vehículo a recogerme, cuando me contacte resulta que no había ninguna actividad ese día. Como consecuencia perdí todos los costos de alojamiento y transporte. Actualmente me encuentro esperando el reembolso de la tarifa cobrada por parte de Viator; sin embargo, aun no he recibido ninguna respuesta.</p>
