Alto Calafate Hotel Patagonico

This hotel is not worth the price. The rooms are highly outdated, with old furniture and musty smells. The shower leaked onto the floor. The staff was helpful and courteous, which was the best part here. Although the view is nice, I recommend staying elsewhere in El Calafate.

This is not a happy place. The staff is not sincere. They don’t have the required manners of the service industry. They act like “people come and go” Everything is average. Also be careful with the check out time 10:00 am.

Location is a little bit far away from city center but view is great. The attitude of hotel administration is unfortunately not so friendly. For example they don’t accept any late checkout even for 2 hours (check out time is 10 a.m) it’s already earlier than the most of hotels. Besides at 10:03 they denied to serve a cup of coffee. Both are not a friendly attitude. I guess they were a little bit spoiled by huge touristic activity.

The Alto Calafate Hotel, where I stayed for four nights in El Calafate, has a breathtaking view of the surroundings from the hilltop. The rooms were clean and the food at the hotel restaurant was excellent. The staff was friendly. It was a perfect choice. You will feel the same way.
