I did a single guided dive of the Underwater Restaurant with Michael, and it was a blast! Had a great time viewing the coral that has developed around the area and peering into the restaurant. We had a lot of extra air because it was a shallow area, so another client and me were able to dive around on our own. I would recommend this experience.

I did five guided dives with Sergio over three action-packed days. Sergio was a really great dive guide and totally fun to hang around with him and the rest of the gang at Ahla. I love their relaxed vibe, serious dive experience, and professionalism. I got to see a lot of variety; including night diving, up close with dolphins, sea turtles, rays, moray eels, vibrant reefs, and several cool wrecks and interesting underwater structures like the pyramid. I am looking forward to coming back! Huge thanks to Sergio and the Ahla crew. You are the best.
We did four dives over two days with Ahla Dive Centre, knowledgable instructors who helped us make the most of each dive site. Helpful and friendly over email beforehand to make booking easy. Really interesting local sites, and more we didn’t see we’d love to come back for. Would definitely recommend diving with these folks.
My wife and I, plus our 12 year old did a shore dive. The good part is that we could park, and the folks were friendly. We did a shore dive around the sunken restaurant. I have done this dive before, and it was better than the last time. Water was nice, visibility was moderate (good for the red sea), and sea life was plentiful for the area although not necessarily on par with, say, the carribian or pacific. The rental gear was reasonably ok - I've seen much worse on rental places (though I've seen better too) and the instructor was ok as well, though I've seen better, too. I am not the strongest of divers and could use support, and my son is also a new diver and requires attention. In this regard, I've seen better. Not that my dive master was bad per se. I've just seen better. I wouldn't say I wouldn't use them again, I'd just say I may review my options for shops and sites should I return.
The Wreck was absolutely stunning! Our guide took pictures of us with his GoPro and sent them to us! I’m so great full to have a picture of this wonderful experience! 🙏😁🐡🐟
Demi was super nice and helpful throughout the whole experience. The only thing that was an issue was not having enough weights to begin with and it being a little difficult when you asked for more but otherwise and enjoyable dive
I came to Israel as a tourist and visited Eilat with local Israeli friend. We asked before booking our dive to ensure that our guide would speak English as I don't speak any Hebrew. The man we booked with told us it wouldn't be a problem. Except it was, our guide Pasha spoke very limited English and only a little Hebrew leaving my friend and I both quite confused. The language barrier resulted in several communication issues but most importantly me being underweighted for the dive. I asked for more weights in advance- multiple times- knowing the thicker wetsuit than I was used to would make me more buoyant but he told me no it was ok. It was not ok. In fact it was one of the worst dives of my life- I struggled to stay down the entire time. Instead of being helpful he seemed angry and frustrated at us which made things incredibly awkward and uncomfortable. Overall just a very disappointing experience with this dive shop and, for safety reasons, I probably shouldn't have gone through with the dive.
Had a great experience diving with Ahla - the instructor and staff were professional and super friendly, so I had an amazing time. I hope to come back soon!
Terrible management We booked at 9:00 The club decided to cancel at 9:15 after I already got equipment. They spoke Russian between them assuming I don’t understand- and decided to give my hour to a tourist who arrived without any booking. I am never going back there. Left without diving. They offered my to pay more to get my own scheduled diving otherwise. Ofc I left.
I’ve heard that diving in Eilat is a must do. Grateful to have booked at Ahla Diving Center. The instructors made sure you’re comfortable and well-taken care. Just take a look at the photos they’ve taken! Speaks for itself.
I really recommend a dive to red sea where you can see another world. The dive instructor was very professional and put the safety first. The key in the dive is to relax and enjoy the sea wonders.
We dive a lot in Eilat, and hands down this is our favorite dive base. The instructors at Ahla are super professional and still very relaxed (and relaxing), their equipment is always great, and the dives we've been on have all been excellent. We tried a few different diving centers over the past two years and Ahla has consistently been our favorite. The fact that they are not on the beach itself is actually a huge advantage, and gives you the chance to explore all the different sites Eilat has to offer. Also, we highly, highly recommend diving with Sasha - a truly great dive instructor who is so knowledgeable about Eilat and is really great with all different diving levels.
enjoyed two wonderful dives today (Nov 20, 2019). Arrived yesterday and toured diveshop and inspectedt their equipment. Very well equipped: regulators and BCs well maintained and good condition. Came this morning, checked in and completed Israeli dive insurance form: 99 NIS for 5 days. (Visa only, no AMEX accepted). First dive was to underwater observatory, now closed facility. Visibility amazing clear, flora and fish abundant and colorful, interior of abandoned underwater club can viewed from windows. Second dive was to underwater wreck (Silat boat). Also easy access from shore. Amazing flora now inhabiting abandoned Israeli missile ship...saw a large moray eel, tiny octopus, large scallop (bowling ball size.) Both divemasters excellent, careful attention to detail and safety. Cost: $280 NIS for both dives, which included all equipment. Extremely happy with both dives and with the friendly service of this diveshop. Would recommend to anyone, from beginners to advanced, and would definitely book with them should I return to Eilat.
They are very friendly, and very, very professional, take good care of my friends who have never dived before, it's about 30 minutes of explaining and about security and approx 20 min diving. Every diver has an experienced diver with hem to be supersafe. Saw the dolphins, nice corals and lots of small fish.
This was an amazing experience, I have dived a lot of times before but this was by far the most beautiful spot I have been to. My instructor Sacha was great, he took some beautiful pictures in the water and it is such a good souvenir. I recommend it !!
Place is perfect for stay and dive. Hostel kind of vibe and very chill. Nice to relax after few dives. Dives (did 5 include morning dolphin dive - recommended but you need to wake up early) were very nice, and dive guide was good. Recommended.
I'm thrilled to be diving with professional service! I dived the first time and, of course, I was a little scared. Instructor Sergei was my Guide to the Water World, explained everything to me. I was very cowardly and afraid of the depths). But under the careful guidance of a professional, I was able to embed myself naturally through my breath into the deep space. Unbelievable feelings, opening borders, freedom from fear, perspective and connection to the whole world! Low bow to all the guys and Sergei my water brother!🙏🙏👍☯️💜💜💜
A very nice place. All the instructors are great. Nikita's just an unrealistic handsome guy. Mass positive, highly recommended
nice and busy young people doing their job well. The dive sites were great and further dives no problem... Equipment was good.
I travel a lot, and yet I do not usually put reviews on this site because it particularly swells me to transform myself into a jury of life, into a consumerist tourist mode. BUT I use Tripadvisor a lot to find recent reviews of serious dive centers because SAFETY FIRST. So it's my turn: We are two AOW - TDI / PADI , we had not dive for more than 6 months so mandatory refresh in Israel. We did 4 dives over 2 days, on 4 different spots, at the times that suited us, there were only two of us, it was very very appreciable. We chose Ahla for its family spirit because we do not like centers that do dives at the industrial pace. Welcoming is personal, attentive and adapted to our pace. We liked that the club was not Mood instructors who do the show and jokes every 3 minutes in GO mode of the club med. Mood is more Eastern country, it is efficient and clear, without fuss. We wondered if dives from the beach and not from a boat would be worth it, and we were not disappointed at all, superb seabed. As stated in a previous message, the center may spot a bit of hippies at first glance but not trust this apparent relaxation: Arthur is a serious instructor who ensures that standards are adhered to. Skills rehearsal, saferty stop, coral respect, check remaining bars, clear instructions underwater. From the brief we felt that he was not kidding, the refresh was complete and this allowed us to dive serenely having well rehearsed the safety bases. The only downside we could bring is the quality of the suits a little worn, but considering the very good Price quality ratio of our experience, this is a detail. We came to dive to safety and that's what we were able to achieve, so thank you Arthur and thank you again Ahla for your Welcoming!
