The show itself was fabulous. Lovely warm welcoming. But the agency I booked through was non communicative. I was double booked with a pre existing reservation at the hotel where I was staying where the show was. I had to pay twice and no refund even when the hotel called to tell them about this the day before. So not happy with the agency. But i highly recommend the show and the hotel too.

Reviews
Very interesting show. We appreciated that the founder of the dance group explained the history and cultural significance of the dance and food preparation. The seating was comfortable in a dinner theater style set up. The drinks, including their specialty cocktails, were very good. The buffet dinner was ok. The dancing was very impressive and entertaining. The dancers had tremendous skill and artistry. Very high energy throughout the show.
Pickup with minibus was in time but the guys on site have not been ready at arrival. 15min waiting for the welcome drink. The show itself is nice, but the dinner was after the show at 10:30pm. The price is high.
Viator advice, with ticket, advised hotel pick up 7:30. When nobody had arrived by 8pm, called the venue, & they said the pickup window was 7:30-8:15. By now it was 8:11. Pickup finally arrived at 8:20, & when I queried with driver, he told me that pickup is from 8:15. The evening did not get any better. The introduction ceremony, quite nice, food 'unwrapping' had spirit. It was then chaotic to be served at the buffet, as appeared to be no organisation. People began to queue, but that was 'uncontrolled'. 1 person would be in the queue, & as they got near to srvery, they were then joined by up to 3-4 others. If you were towards the back of the queue, some food items were very depleted, & not replaced. I watched people walk away with 2 plates, piled high with food, again, no control. The actual show commenced whilst people were still in food queue, causing more than myself to miss at least 15-29 minutes of show. Whilst the meal was adequate, it was nowhere close to the advertised. 'gastronomical delight'. As this was not a cheap event, $250+ for an adult, I cannot say that I got value for my money. Overall, a very disappointing event, for me. I have used Viator many times, in the padty, & always had positive experiences. This was not one of them!!
Exactly as described. We had a wonderful experience. Great food, a fun show. Pick up and drop off was seamless
Having face paint and traditional head coverings made for a fun start of the evening and awesome pictures! Delicious food and nice show. It was interesting to see traditional way of food preparation. The food is all you can eat and everything we tried was very good. To be picked up and dropped off was very helpful, especially considering that the show ends around 11:30 pm.
This was a fantastic experience with great explanations of the practices, culture, and dances. The food, drinks and service were all great. Another big positive for me as a solo traveler was how easy it was to enjoy this experience. I was picked up at the hotel, taken to the dinner and dances, and dropped back at my hotel soon after the event ended. Everyone was very friendly and polite, and I felt completely safe. This was one highlight of my trip to Rapa Nui, besides getting to see the ahu and Moai and learning the history.
Great show however, dinner was not until after 9p and people pushed and shoved to get to the buffet. Really enjoyed the history and how potatoes were cooked. Dancing was fun.
The show was great. The food good but not outstanding. Transportation leaves much room to improve. The first time we tried to go the ride never came. They rebooked us but still it was a wasted evening. The ride to the show on the rebook was on time. After the show the bus filled before we could get on and we waited half an hour for it to return.
We all loved the show and the dinner. Not to be missed! The entertainment was fantastic and the food was delicious!
Very weird experience. We arrived, paid our entry fee(last in line), entered and no one greeted us or told us what to do…we finally asked someone for help. She asked our reservation name, after ten minutes(standing awkwardly), we were directed to a table that had our name on it. The server told us to use a QR code for food. We did not have internet so thought he would come back. He did EVENTUALLY. He told us there was free wi-Fi but it was under a different name. We ordered lemonade and had the worst one we’ve had on the island. The show was awkward and way too much bottoms were shown. The storyline was hard to understand. The bus that picked us up, drove crazy fast when he was dropping us off. We also did not like being women alone in the van(that started full) with two men at 11 pm in an unfamiliar place. The dancing was good and some of the men jumped HIGH! The music was good.
Be patient with the pick up, they are coming! I really enjoyed the show and the food was delicious, however I recommend booking directly through the provider. The prices on here are so inflated, some of my friends paid a fraction of what I did. The dancers were great and the ceremonial performance before the buffet opened were entertaining.
The dancers were amazing! They gave 110% of their heart and soul to the show! My biggest complaint was instant coffee with no cream. They could do better or don’t serve coffee at all. Also, there was no appetizer as promised. They could do better with the food and drinks, but the show was well worth it!
It was a great experience. They notified me when they were in their way to pick me up from my hotel and were on time. The food and entertainment was excellent, it was a fun night had by all
The dancing, singing and cooking demonstration were excellent. The food was good but not served till after 9:00 pm. We had drinks when we came but there was nothing to munch on. The kitchen wasn’t opened so you could order but it never came. They did not charge & canceled the order because dinner was served. The pickup was late but a van came when we walked to the street. The hotel told us they would come in & pick us up. At 7:50 we walked to the street and it pulled up a minute later.
The show itself is worth the money as it is entertaining. The food is also prepared in a traditional way, which was interesting to watch.
Booking via their website does not work. You receive a confirmation email that says nothing about how to make the payment. The email address mentioned to make the payment does not exist. Finally contacted via another email address via FB and after some back and forth emailing, ordered cards. Show without dinner ordered. The show is quite monotonous, often the same type of dance. The person who gives the explanation about the background of the dances speaks barely understandable English, so a lot of the explanation is missed, what a shame! Not a bad show, but it feels very touristy, which makes it questionable whether it is authentic. Quite expensive for what you get.
With the price I've paid I think I should get the drink into dinner, not just a welcome glass of cocktail. Pickup should be at the hotel, not that I had to go to a point, which was another hotel and was away from my hotel and the restaurant, and then we passed by my hotel to pick up other customers. That needs to be improved.
A good show in itself, including traditional cooking. But unfortunately with very late buffet dinner after the show. The transfer takes place in minibuses.
The beginning of our adventure well.... face painting, reception with a drink or welcome drink..... history and representation of your kitchen, cooking your meals with stones and leaves, etc. super well....... Then came the buffet, the rich food, but everything was very fast, between us having to stop to serve ourselves or watch the dance show (the best) had already taken everything out and there was nothing left. When you arrived and sat at your reserved table, you had to ask for everything you would take immediately, since afterwards you could not ask for anything else as it was all closed. It wasn't what we expected. Not recommended
The show, the welcome, the atmosphere everything was perfect! On the other hand, the price of Viator is really too high compared to the service itself (price displayed on site if buying online ) and the return transport from the hotel (barely 10 minutes ) does not justify the 50 or 60 euros more ... sorry ...
They don't answer. They charged and have nothing to do with the restaurant. I had to pay again to get in.
The experience actually costs USD 80 if you pay the local and is a suitable price for an explanation of the curanto, dinner and show. Dinner is buffet and the queue was long to the point of being just starting dinner when the show left. Still enjoy it t is pretty. The problem is that for shared transfer, which takes a long time and the margin of the operator of this site, you pay more than double and that is not worth it at all when you see that everything is the same as the rest that I pay less than half.
Excellent and unforgettable experience, a token of love and respect for their traditions, delicious food and beautiful place.
Aprecio el poder usar implementos de sus vestimentas reales; me encantó el show del curanto, y disfruté mucho del show de bailes en dónde pude bailar junto a los bailarines y sacarnos fotos.
The most beautiful show I've ever seen, plus the attention and excellent food. Apart from that, the streets of Rapa nui a real disaster, shame
