Private Full Day Tour On Easter Island "The Highlights"

We had an amazing experience learning from our guide, Tokerau. He did a great job connecting the history of the island with the science. The private tour allowed for a more personal experience, including stopping for pictures along the way.

Tokerau was an excellent guide! He is very knowledgeable about the island and its history. Having a private guide meant we could take our time at areas that really interested us and no it feel rushed. I highly recommend using Easter Island Heritage for your tour.

There aren't enough great things to say about our experience with Tokerau and our private tour! Rapa Nui is truly an incredible place, but Toke really made us feel welcome and immersed in the island and its culture. For such a small island, there is so much to learn and see, and literally everything exceeded our already high expectations. His itinerary planning was perfect, and we often arrived at sites before any crowds, and we felt like we were the only ones there. The weather was a bit unpredictable (as expected!) and he made little last minute decisions based on that to make sure we were comfortable and dry! We kept saying we were so lucky, but really, it was Tokerau who made everything feel like a win. I wish we had stayed longer, but when I do go back, Easter Island Heritage is the only company I will use, I just can't recommend them enough!!

Two full days and a sunrise with Tokerau and we would book him again without hesitation. The vehicle is the best on the island — comfortable and spotless, which matters over six hours. He was great at keeping us ahead of the larger tour groups, whilst making sure we were never rushed or missed anything important. He and his fellow guides knowledge of the history and culture of the island was second to none. Travelling with 3 small children and he was infinitely patient- more than willing to listen and answer all their questions. He bought bottled water for them, and gave each of them a Moai memento made from microplastics- highlighting both culture and the environment! Highly recommended, particularly for families.

Absolutely perfect tour! Everything was organized down to the smallest detail. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive to everyone’s needs. The whole day was planned incredibly well, allowing us to make the most of every moment without ever feeling rushed. Everything was simply perfect from start to finish. Highly, highly recommended!

With this tour you can see the most beautiful and impressive sites of the island. It is something you can’t miss! Our guide Nuku was great, he gave us so many interesting informations about the story of Rapa Nui and about the construction, the discovery and the fall of the Moais. He became our personal photographer too during the day!

This was one of those experiences that felt truly special, almost like a privilege. Walking among the moai we had seen so many times in photos was incredibly emotional — seeing them in their own landscape is something completely different. The whole day had such a peaceful and magical atmosphere, made even more special by our guide, who was incredibly kind and attentive, always helping us find the best spots for photos and sharing so many fascinating stories along the way. And ending the day by the ocean with a delicious pineapple he had brought for us was the perfect touch! We truly felt we were experiencing Rapa Nui rather than simply visiting it. Booking a private tour with Tokerau Hey was one of the best decisions we made on Easter Island. Easter Island was one of the most incredible places I have ever visited. The Moai statues, volcanic landscapes, and breathtaking ocean views made this a truly unforgettable experience. What made the trip even more special was my tour guide. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about the island's history and culture. His explanations were clear and engaging, and he always made sure I was comfortable and enjoying the experience. Tokerau was an excellent tour guide who really loves his island. He was very flexible in accommodating our requests (such as trying the locally brewed beer, he took us to the brewery!) and even mailing our postcards to the grandkids, when the post office wasn't open. He knows all the amazing spots you don't want to miss when you visit Rapa Nui, and stopped any time I wanted to take (more!) photos. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with him over the days we spent we him. We highly recommend him as a tour guide for this amazing island.

We had two private day tours to see all the highlights and some hidden gems of the island. The private tours are very well done. The pace is very good, the guides are very informative, friendly and a great experience. They share not only the knowledge but their experience in living in the island and their culture. It's the perfect way to visit all the important sites of the island and learn what it means living in Rapa Nui.

We had 2 all day private tours, the first one with Niko and the second one with Tokerau. I recommend both the tour and the guides, it was very informative. It feels like a day out with friends, but with very knowledgeable friends! Special thumbs up to Tonerau for the song he performed for us accompanied by just two rocks as instruments, hearing that song while surrounded by the sea and the moai was just magic!

Tokerau was my guide and we hit it off immediately. I got along with him well and maintain a friendship to this day. He knows all about the history on the island and I learned a ton. He made sure that I was comfortable throughout the day and we did everything at a good pace. I highly recommend and visiting and also Tokerau as your tour guide if he's available! Ended the day with a stargazing excursion and that was also wonderful.

I’ll admit, when I bumped into a fellow Australian traveler yesterday, we joked that it was a long way to fly just to see "some rocks." But after spending today with our guide, I realized how wrong that perspective was. ​Taking a tour with a local expert changed everything. Seeing these monuments is one thing, but hearing the history, the cultural significance, and the sheer engineering mystery behind them from someone who truly knows the island is a whole other experience. ​The depth of knowledge and the passion for the Rapa Nui heritage made the day truly unique. It was an amazing experience and a highlight of my time in Chile. This was a great experience and were able to take in all of the sights. Our guide, Tokerau Hey (Toki) was spectacular. He was very attentive to our needs and took his time with us explaining everything along the way. It was very much visible that he cared about us for our time with him on the island. He was very passionate about making sure we knew all of the history and information on each of the sites. Our private tour with him was exceptional and since then anyone that we communicate with in person and from other Facebook chat groups, we recommend that they request to have Toki as their guide when visiting Rapa Nui (Easter Island). Since we were also going to be the some extra time, he also gave us some recommendations of things that we could do with walking distance from our hotel before our return back to the USA.

Highly recommend booking a tour of Easter Island with Tokerau! We booked 2 days with him, which covered most of the main sites on Rapa Nui - 6/7 per day. We were picked up promptly every morning and the tour lasted from about 9:30-3:30 each day. The tours fit together beautifully, each site done is a specific order to build on what you’ve already learned and tell the story of Rapa Nui and its peoples chronologically. At every site you learned something new. The sites are also nicely varied - it’s not just Moai (though there are many of those). You leave feeling like you learned and saw a lot. Tokerau was excellent - he is from Rapa Nui and is clearly passionate about the island, its history and heritage. He’s very good humoured and we had a lovely two days with him! The company is relatively new. Tokerau has a lot of experience in hospitality and has just started Easter Island Heritage. In future I’m sure even more tours will be available, but for now, if you’re looking for a guide, he’s the best (as he will jokingly tell you himself)!

I went to Easter Island on a solo trip. A colleague had recommended Tokerau as a guide, and he was simply fantastic. We did two full days of tours. He was extremely kind and had a vast knowledge of the history. I 100% recommend him.

Haumoana give me a perfect trip around Eatser Island. He drove well and had impeccable English. Fascinating place and I got to see all the highlights in one day. I am sure that there are other good operators out there but at the time of writing this I see that these guys have had perfect reviews always and they are totally justified. You won't go wrong!

Arrived solo on Rapa Nui without a guide. Tokerau hooked me up the next day with Karina for a full day trip followed by a sunrise trip to Tongariki. Karina was a fabulous guide. A Rapa Nui native eager to share knowledge and insights into her culture. The price was half of what my hotel was charging as well. If you visit Rapa Nui, contact Tokerau by WhatsApp. You won’t regret it.

Finally we got to Easter Island, a place that I have longed for forever. The experience exceeded my expectations and was fascinated with all the locations that I had seen on the internet. Important places to visit are Tongariki, Rani Raraku (quary), Anakena, Hutu a Urenga an Orongo. Most will stay in the main town which is Hanga Roa which is well equipped with restaurants and souvenit shops. It is an expensive trip as you need to go via Santiago but this is one destination you will never forget. Highly recommended 🥰

We had two wonderful days with Tokerau… his deep knowledge, combined with his love of his island, made our trip a marvelous and informative adventure. We saw the island, learned about its history and culture… all at a pace that worked perfectly for us. We highly recommend him!

To get the most out of your experience of Rapa Nui you need a good local guide to take to you, and to explain clearly the important historical and cultural detail. Most people have limited time on the island, and the geographic isolation may well mean it is a destination you come to only once. A high-quality private tour made the most sense to me, and i'm so glad i opted for this rather than an impersonal, unwieldy bigger group tour.

Tokr led us on a hike to the summit of Terekava - the highest point on n Rapa Nui. He was very aware of the capabilities of all the hikers and made sure everyone was comfortable with the pace of the climb. Tokr is justifiably proud of his native Rapa Nui heritage and graciously shared many interesting stories - including the origin of his name!

This was an absolutely awesome experience and private tour. We came off a ship and were delayed a little but Alex was waiting with a sign. His passion, knowledge and love of the island was evident all day. Communication from the office was excellent throughout the booking. I do not hesitate to recommend this private option for shore excursions.

I've been all around the world and on many tours. Tokerau is possibly the best guide I've ever had. He is extremely knowledgeable about the island, the history, and the culture, I learned so much! I am a photographer, he was able to tailor the tour to my needs. We were able to visit the sites with all the best lighting for photography. I would come back to the island just to hang out with Tokerau and learn more about the Moai and the culture of the Rapa Nui people. In fact, I'm definitely going to return in the next few years. Our private guide for 3 separate trips was Tokirow. He picked us up promptly from our hotel on each occasion and was always very upbeat and a pleasure to be with. His knowledge of the island was comprehensive and we were taken to all of the sites on the agenda, plus other off the beaten track places that he wanted to share. Nothing was too much trouble for Tokirow and he recommended good eateries to us and took us to an excellent, top quality art gallery. Our abiding memory from our trip to Rapa Nui is the Sunrise Tour to Tongariki. We were taken to a special spot overlooking the moais, where we were serenaded with local songs from times gone by. Truly magical…. All in all, I believe that we struck gold by using this tour company…

Toke was an awesome guide on our tour through Rapa Nui! He shared so much knowledge about the island’s history and culture and answered all of our questions along the way. You could really feel how much he cares about the place. Even after the tour officially ended, he took the time to give us great tips on where to go for dinner and sunset, and even helped us out with car rental logistics. Wow what a place! It has been a childhood dream to come here, the mystery, the massive statues, the power and the paradise island with its exotic feel Our guide was incredible, sunrise tour and his knowledge where to stand for its breathtaking view, tour of the statues and historical information, then the sunset tour and the surprisingly being serenaded, unreal I didn’t want to leave I can’t recommend this highly enough Incredible memories that will last a lifetime
