The tour was very history-focused, and we learned so much about the Siege of Dubrovnik, the city’s culture, and the people who have shaped its history. She brought everything to life and gave us a much deeper appreciation for Dubrovnik than we would have gotten exploring on our own. Mihaela was also so thoughtful and attentive throughout the tour. She made sure we had plenty of opportunities for drink and restroom breaks, and was especially mindful about keeping us hydrated in the August heat. That made such a difference, especially while walking the city walls! One tip for anyone booking a summer tour: go as early as possible! We started at 10:00 AM, and while it was a great experience, the city walls get BRUTALLY hot in the summer. In hindsight, I would absolutely recommend starting around 8:00 AM if that’s available.
