For those who love to walk, it is possible to climb up to the medieval Watchtower -overlooking the whole area with the Neretva river gently bending underneath. 16.ct Mosque, Clock Tower, 17.ct middle School (medresse), Turkish Bath (hammam), Ottoman inn (Han) and Governor's house can still be visited while walking through Pocitelj's cobbled streets.

Let your driver/guide show you the centre of this historical town with stunning Ottoman 16.ct Horse-shoe arched Bridge, Bazaar street still offering same arts and crafts like hundreds years ago, Crooked Bridge, Tabija tower and Koski Bey Mosque. Learn about Mostar's golden era as well as about misfortunate troubled times of the 1990ies war You will have a chance to try Turkish style black coffee alongside Neretva River or to have lunch of selected Bosnian (Herzegovinian) specialties ("Chevapchichi u somunu" – minced meet in Pita bread with cream and onion) in family-owned traditional restaurants (at your own expense)

We thoroughly enjoyed our day with Miho. He was friendly, very interesting and we learned a huge amount from chatting to him. He also recommended the best places to eat. A great day!
We recently took a private tour with Miho to Mostar, with stops at Kravice waterfall and Ston. Miho was a great guide for the day - we really appreciated all his local knowledge, humour and personal stories (thank you for the recipe too!). My partner lived in Bosnia as a child but hadn't been back to the country since 1992 - it made such a difference to have a guide who was so open and reassuring, it really removed any anxiety. The organisation and arranging of the tour was excellent. We kept great time but this was done without pressure, Miho was happy to tweak timings if it was helpful to spend a little more time in one of the places we stopped at. We got to Kravice in the mid-morning and we were able to avoid the arrival of larger groups. It was very special to spend time in such a beautiful place with only a handful of other people. When we got to Mostar, Miho introduced us to some of the key sites in the centre and it was really helpful to have his recommendations for places to eat either side of the river. It meant we made better use of the time: we were able to go in some shops and have a lovely lunch (cevapi and Bosnian coffee) next to the Neretva. On our journey back we stopped in Ston and got to see the saltworks and views of the medieval walls, it was awesome to hear some of the history. Thanks again for helping us have such a great day, Miho. We will certainly look at doing Doria tours again in the future.
A long day (our choice - we wanted to do the lot in a single day) and everything about the tour company was first rate - prior organisation, information prior to the day, organisation of the day. Would highly recommend this company.
Highly recommended one day private tour to Bosnia (Mostar, Počtelj and Blagaj) with Ston in Croatia. Very friendly and highly informative driver/guide Jakob who was very flexible and knowledgeable about any aspects of the places we visited with good food recommendations in Mostar. Excellent experience and would warmly recommend. Excellent English speaker like a native!
Excellent tour with a great driver/guide Miho. My family and I enjoyed the tour of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Miho was an attentive and knowledgeable guide and provide interesting facts and recommendations throughout the tour. If you would like to visit Mostar and other historic sites from Dubrovnik, this is an excellent way to go. Enjoy!
From the outset Doria were really amazing! Josip was so helpful online when I made the first enquiry. In just a couple of emails he confirmed the booking as requested and without advance payment. The day before our trip, our driver Miho reached out to confirm all the details and the next day he arrived promptly with a clean and comfortable van, just for the two of us. Miho was an excellent driver and tour guide, explaining the places we were going to visit and the route we would take. He took time to show us around the ottoman village and the dervish house before moving on to Mostar. Miho was so friendly and chatty that we found many different things to talk about, which made the long journey very interesting. I would highly recommend a personal guided tour with Doria because they are very flexible and allow you to arrange the time as best suits you, allowing for toilet stops and leaving earlier if you require.
Our tour guide, Vincent, took us to Pocitelj, Kravice Falls and Mostar. The trip was easy, Vincent was informative and funny and we learned a lot about Bosnia-Herzegovina! His restaurant recommendation was delicious. This is money well spent! All logistics were taken care of!
A brilliant experience from start to finish. Jacob was an excellent guide and driver. We learned so much and saw lovely sites and scenery. Excellent value for money. Highly recommend
Our guide Miho was fantastic! Miho called me the morning of the tour to let me know he was running 30 minutes late due to the company lot was locked to pick up the van… but don’t get me wrong… Miho made up the time! Miho took a short cut while in Bosnia and took a route we were not supposed to take to Mostar. Miho never made us feel rushed while we toured and told us to take our time at all the various stops we made. Miho was very knowledgeable of the history and very fluent in English. Miho was so professional he even returned back to our hotel to return an item my Wife left in the van. Mostar Bosnia is well worth the visit if you have extra time from Dubrovnik… a totally different vibe and experience and beautiful old town and bridge!
My wife and I arranged a private day trip away from our group in Croatia in order to visit Mostar in Bosnia. I was interested in visiting Mostar, because it was in the region where my father’s brother, an American fighter pilot, was shot down and killed in 1944. We were driven to and from Mostar by guide Miho Budman who was extremely informative about Croatia as well as Bosnia and was a pleasure to be with. While in Mostar we spent an hour or so with a local guide, Mirna, who had some knowledge of the events of WW2 in the area. Mostar would have been fascinating for us even if we had not had our special family interest. Our entire trip in Croatia and Bosnia was expertly coordinated by Jen Radman of TrulyCroatia.
Miho was our guide to a day trip to Mostar from Dubrovnik. I would highly recommend using this tour company and Miho. Everything thing was perfect from the moment we met Miho and got into the super clean car. Everything about Miho and the quality of the information he provided was top notch. He is instantly likable and presents the information in a way that is easy to understand. I also enjoyed hearing about life in Croatia. It was our honor to spend the day with you.
We just came from a tour of Croatia with Trafalgar where our tour guide clearly explained the Yugoslav Wars. We thought the Mostar and Herzegovina/Medjugorje tour with Doria Ltd. will complement the Croatian trip well. That was an understatement. Miho, our tour guide to Mostar, turned out to be a member of the Special Forces who fought to get 2/3 of Croatia back from Serbia in just 4 days! How the Croats did that is being studied in top military schools worldwide! His stories made all the history I learned come alive! Apart from being precise and on time, Miho also took care of us. When I text him that we are on our way to the van/meeting point earlier than usual, he'd go to the van ahead of us to turn the air condition on. Thank you Miho for your service and for showing us the best of Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina!
This was a great day trip to some beautiful places in Bosnia and Herzegovina! Unfortunately I did not catch the name of our guide, but he was nonetheless amazing. He had some great information about the places we went to, and provided insight into the life around the war for independence there. Our group also wanted to make a stop in Medugorje, and he was very accommodating for this (we went there instead of Blagaj). We never felt rushed at each stop and were able to see most everything we wanted. He recommended a local restaurant in Mostar that was delicious! I wish we had had more time to explore this beautiful country, but if you only have a day to see it, this is an ideal trip!
We had an amazing day with Josip today We visit Ston in Croatia and then drove to Bosnia to visit Kravice Waterfalls and then Mostar He's Profesional and knows the places history and his English is perfect He made us feel at ease and safe. Highly recommend him Thank you Vitor e Graça
Our driver Kristina called us in advance advising of arrival time. She was professional throughout but conversation was so easy made the day so enjoyable. Mostar is a not tobe missed destination if you have any interest in the history of this region . Kristina gave us recommendations where to go and best places to eat in our free time . Would certainly recommend Doria Tours and especially Kristina for the way she arranged the day and the flexibility with times at the various locations we visited.
We had a great all-day experience on this tour. Our guide, Mijo, was outstanding. His English was exceptional and the history he shared, both personal and about the countries was intriguing. We stopped at three wineries and the last one was so great we even purchased wine and olive oil despite not wanting to check our luggage. A MUST-DO!
Driver was prompt and tailored the time spent at each location to our interest in each one. He provided good insights on the people and history of the area. He gave us good suggestions for what to see and where to dine for a good experience. He were happy we took this tour.
This was an incredible tour and a very professional tour agency. I would recommend using them for your time in Dubrovnik! They picked us up at the hotel and created a memorable day for us. Our guide Ivo was fantastic and there was a new guide learning the ropes with us that day. We were fortunate to have 2 different people to share stories with us. It was a mix of history, beautiful views and great food. It was worth every penny! We started with a quick stop in Ston and then drove to Kravice waterfalls, which was stunning. We saw so many things in a short time! Stopped in this really interesting village of Caplijina and then had the best lunch of our entire trip in Mostar! Each part of the trip, I thought that it couldn't get better and yet it did! Ivo was a fantastic guide. This country has such an interesting mix of history and cultures. We ended up taking 2 tours with Dubrovnik Day tours and getting an airport transfer, too. From Josip in the main office answering my many questions to Milli to/from the airport to the guides, using this agency was the best money I spent on our trip! I also highly recommend the private tour because it was tailored to our interests and time.
My husband and I had a wonderful private tour with Filip at Dubrovnik Day Tours. Filip is very concientious and his main priority was making the trip the best it could be for us. He is very knowledgable, friendly, flexible and a safe driver. We learned so much about Croatia and Bosnia. He gave us great recommendations for places to eat and things to do in each city we visited. He also gave us some great ideas for the other days we were going to be in Croatia. Highly recommend.
We booked a full day private tour to Kravica & Mostar. It was a fabulous day with sun, beautiful scenery, history and the most knowledgeable guide Ivo. From the minute he picked us up he was courteous, friendly and very committed to making sure we were happy with our trip. We are very interested in learning about the local culture and history, Ivo was a fantastic source of information. We visited Pocitelj and Kravica on the way to Mostar and he accompanied us on both sites detailing the history and best way to see the sites. In Mostar also Ivo guided us on what to see, lunch recommendations and shopping! We had plenty of time to ourselves also and we did not feel rushed at all. We even got some hisotorical reading recommendations . We also booked airport taxi transfers with this company and again a prompt and courteous driver who was also very friendly with tips and info for our vacation. We would have no problem highly recommending this company.
A lovely day with beautiful landscapes, a dive on Kravice waterfals, a visit to the marvelous old town of Mostar and a final stop to know a precious village called Pocitelj. We had a wonderful time with our guide Flip. A very good driver with amazing communication skills, very well informed and providing us with very good recommendations regarding the organization of the journey and the lunch. An unforgettable experience.
We booked a full day tour of Mostar and the Kravica Waterfalls - our excellent guide Filip was an exceptional host and driver throughout. The car was large, modern and comfortable. Time between destinations flew by thanks to Filip's good conversation and excellent knowledge of the areas of the tour and complicated history. Combining the Kravica waterfalls, Mostar (and we also stopped at Ston) made for a long day but was well worth it, to experience a very different culture to what you find in Croatia. I would recommend taking the tour company's advice and leaving very early in the morning to miss the crowds at the Kravica waterfalls, as they quickly become overrun with large tour buses/groups.
Great day trip with Filip, a flexible itinerary and a very interesting tour. Filip is relaxed, knowledgeable and accommodated our slight deviations from the planned trip. We learnt a great deal and would highly recommend,
Filip was our driver and guide for a full day private tour of Mostar, Kravica Waterfalls and the Buna river (Dervish house). He was a very friendly and knowledgeable chap, arrived on time with a very clean car and was a very safe driver despite the torrential rain we experienced driving to the waterfalls from Dubrovnik. At the waterfalls he made sure we stayed as dry as possible and looked after us as the steep pathways were extremely wet and slippery! We ate delicious local food in a restaurant Filip recommended in Mostar and he took some excellent photographs, he knows all the right spots! A long but very enjoyable day trip to experience some of Bosnia's highlights and culture, well recommended.
Our excursion to Mostar and Kravica waterfalls was a real highlight during our Dubrovnik visit. The driver made all the difference. Mladen spoke English very well and was able to explain the history and current events not only of our destinations but also the surrounding areas. He was very responsive to our requests, knew the shortcuts to avoid getting caught in traffic, and brought us to an excellent restaurant in Mostar. He was the perfect guide for our family of four.
If you are staying in Dubrovnik and have a day or two spare, I strongly recommend you arrange a tour of Mostar and Međugorje with Doria Ltd. They organized a fantastic trip. In preparation, they were very quick to respond to emails and offered advice and were willing to adjust the itinerary if necessary. On the day itself, Doria Ltd. provided an excellent driver who was very friendly and accommodating for the duration of the trip. Enough time was given at Međugorje and later Mostar, with time at the latter for a lunch (not included). The day tour lasted 7-8 hours in total, including a break at the interesting old Turkish tour of Počitelj, and leaving enough time to settle back at the hotel for the evening. To reiterate, this was an excellent excursion and I would arrange future tours from or around Croatia with Doria Ltd.
Highly recommend this tour company! Their pricing is a bit higher than competitors in the area, but I ultimately went with them because I wanted a smaller group (1 car) vs the big tour buses of the other companies. I read that customers were waiting hours for their tour bus to cross borders, but I didn't experience that at all with this company. Pickup was smooth and on time, just a block away from my apartment. We left early to avoid traffic. My driver Mato was friendly, conversational, professional, and wore a mask the whole time. I felt very safe. My driver had great recommendations, excellent knowledge of the whole area, and was always flexible with the timing as it was just me, no other guests. He would say "let's plan to meet at the car in 3 hours, but don't worry if you want to take longer, I'll be here anyway." And that was amazing, because there is nothing worse as a tourist than feeling like you're being rushed along like cattle. Mostar was such a quaint little town, beautiful buildings and river, but it was crowded and HOT. Very affordable, so if you want to do any shopping, this is a great opportunity. Most places only took cash, so keep that in mind. I was met by a local tour guide who was friendly and spoke English well, but the tour was very short (it's a small town, I guess) and I honestly don't even remember anything she told me. Just was an ok tour. I also added on a visit to Kravica Waterfalls, and it was pretty but I regret not bringing a swimsuit. I'd recommend swimming there if you get the chance. Overall, it was a fantastic day! Go with them, you won't regret it.
Had a great experience with both tours! Both gentlemen provide a great and safe drive. Both informative on each respective location, Bosnia and Montenegro. Such beautiful countries. Just the right amount of time spent at each place, never felt rushed. Thank you Philip!
I signed up for a full day private tour of Mostar from Dubrovnik with Filip. Filip was an incredibly considerate tour guide with a great deal of passion and knowledge about not just Croatia (Dubrovnik and Ston in particular) and Bosnia and Herzegovina, but also the rich (and at times tragic) history of the region, and the exceptional food from local grown fruit and vegetables to the exquisite meat and seafood on offer. Filip was a safe driver with a clean, modern car, and took me to a few great photo spots, as well as adapting the tour to suit my interests. His recommendations were always spot on and he took extra time to make the trip a real highlight on my stay in Dubrovnik. Amna was my guide in Mostar and it was special to have someone truly from Mostar taking me through the streets to bring them even more to life, and to share her personal stories and experiences.
Amazing tour, friendly and informative driver (Mladen??). We were on a tight timetable because we were just in Dubrovnik for the day on a cruise ship and he was incredibly conscientious about getting us back on time. The scenery was beautiful and we covered a ton of ground. Really appreciate what a perfect day this was!
Excellent one-day trip with Filip. We learnt a lot about the region of Herzegovina and Mostar. It is close but really different from Croatia. We definitely felt the ottoman influence. One day was a good duration, not packed. The stop to the falls was very pleasant. Thanks a lot !
We spent a great day with Ivo - he was very friendly, professional and also a safe driver. Mostar is a very interesting place and it's amazing to walk the streets and eat the local food We were able to customise the tour to suit what we wanted to see and Ivo was very knowledgable of all the areas we went to, giving some great history lessons along the way but also curious to hear about where we're from. Before the tour we had great communication, the car was new and safe and whilst we covered a lot of ground, nothing felt rushed. This tour is great value and I'd definitely recommend it Thanks again
We loved seeing how different Bosnia and Herzegovina is from Croatia. Crossing the border so many times because of historical and strategic reasons was also mind blowing. The tour organized by Doria Tours was very informative, well organized, great guides, great cars and really focused on teaching you everything there is to know about the destination you are discovering. They provided enough free time to freely explore and discover, which was great. Special thanks to Sasa, Davorin, Ivo and Toni and highly recommended!
Our tour guide Ivo gave clear briefings to each tourist attraction and anything that may interest to visitor. He choose the best ways to all tourist attractions. We arrived fast but safe. We had a great time on this journey.
Fantastic all around! Ivo was very knowledgeable, kind and incredibly patient with our young children. This was a wonderful experience.
After we had already done Montenegro with Dubrovnik Day Tours, also booked this trip with them. Our guide Jacob will make sure you have a wonderful day. The trip on the way to is particularly beautiful and it stops at places you discuss in advance. It was a busy but a great day of our holiday. Both Mostar and Kravica are great. The walls of Ston may be slightly less long, so you can swim longer ad waterfalls. Don't forget the coffee in Mostar with a view of the bridge. Herewith a big thank you to Jacob and Josip (vh agency that arranges everything) for these great days (Montenegro and Bosnia).
