We start our tour from Dubrovnik driving south alongside the Adriatic coast passing the town of Cavtat and Konavle region and soon crossing the Border to Montenegro.
After the Border crossing we continue our drive along the spectacular Montenegro coast passing the town Igalo and Herceg Novi (two Great Turkish and Venetian fortresses), Bijela, Kamenari and pausing for a photo-stop at Verige isthmus Panoramic view point of magical Perast and two small islands St George and Our lady of the Rocks. You will have time for coffee break, to stretch your legs and admire the beuty of the Kotor Bay.
After the stop at Verige panoramic view point we continue our drive along the Kotor Bay passing charming town of Risan and stoping at Perast situated beneath the St. Elijah hill. The guide points out major buildings(Visit baroque parish church St Nicolas) and explains its reach history. OPTIONAL visit by boat artificial island Our Lady of the Rocks and stunning 16ct Baroque church and museum(boat ride fee 10€ per person).
Finally reaching our main dedtanation the UNESCO city Kotor nested at the very bottom of Kotor Bay and surounded by formidable verticals of neighboring mountains. After having passed the Border we have about 55 minutes to Your Hotel in Dubrovnik.

We had an amazing time in Montenegro today with Filip. He is very knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and provided an unforgettable experience. He knew all the local shortcuts, border crossings were easy, and took us on all the scenic back roads that had amazing views. The pictures does not do this justice. The coffee shop he recommended had great coffee, cake, along with amazing views. Ivica was an amazing Kotor guide and his living history of Kotor made it much more memorable. My husband and I spent an amazing day with Filip on October 27, and I can’t recommend his private day trip from Dubrovnik to Montenegro highly enough! First off, Filip rolled with the changes. We had luggage and moved hotels and he picked us up early so we would still make it to the border crossing at a reasonable time to beat traffic. He has sooooo much knowledge of not only his country but has somehow managed to remember every single thing his customers from around the world have discussed with him over his career in tourism. Which he is happy to share! It rained on and off during the day and yet somehow we were exactly where we needed to be for whatever the activity was. We stopped for coffee and breakfast at the most beautiful spot in the world. The sun even came out for a little bit! We went onto Kotor and had a great tour of the old walled city. I’m terrible with names but he was an older gentleman who was a retired lawyer and had so many great stories about the city and growing up there! We went to Perast and took the boat out to the island. I think that part would have been nicer on a clear day. And then onto lunch at a hidden gem of a family owned restaurant and farm that had a natural spring. It was beautiful and maybe even more so in the rain. Catovica Muni. Filip kept us entertained as we waited a bit at border crossing on the way back. He loves basketball so once he gets going there’s no stopping him from deep discussions about players and teams. I think my favorite parts of the day were the breakfast stop and listening to Filip’s love of his country. I would highly recommend if you don’t have much time to spend in Montenegro, but would like to see the all the beauty you have heard about.

When Filip arrived early for a 6:20am pick up, I knew he was going to be prepared for a full day of adventure. My husband and I wanted to do a day trip to Montenegro from Dubrovnik and I came across Filip’s private guided tour because of its incredibly high reviews. A perfect day. I read a lot of reviews of different tours in deciding to choose Filip for this tour with two friends. Pre tour communication was excellent. He adjusted schedule and route for border traffic. We stopped for breakfast at a lovely spot, wonderful guide Ivo for walking tour of Kotor, then he drove us up above Kotor for views, a stop for boat to Our Lady of the Rocks and finally a special restaurant for lunch. All during drive he pointed out landmarks, history and we talked about current events. We learned a lot and thoroughly enjoyed our day

We had the worst weather (heavy rain & strong wind) to start the tour on Friday 9/25. Thankfully we were so lucky to have the best guide Luka to accompany us. My girlfriends & I have been on numerous international trips for more than 10 years, Luka is easily ranked the top guide in our list. Luka is very experienced and knowledgeable & insightful about the culture, history, and regional politics. He is like an open book never running out of topics to talk about for the entire day!! He is also quite funny and sociable which made the trip truly enjoyable & pleasant! Luka is very thoughtful & considerate. He suggested we started early to avoid the long queue at the boarder and he made a wise decision to take us through Bosnia on the way back to save us from wasting more time stuck in traffic after a long trip! Bravo Luka! I would recommend Luka to anyone who is interested in a private tour!!
Upon booking, Filip was quick to reach out, provide details of the trip, answer any questions and arrange the pickup and drop-off point which was less than a minute walk from our stay. Filip checked in with us prior to and right after the trip to ensure everything is good and asked how we liked it. Our driver, Luka, was a gem. He was very knowledgeable about the regions we were driving through as well as the countries history. Luka was familiar how the border crossings work and informed us what to expect and how to proceed going in and out of each country. He is attentive to his passengers, interesting to listen to and a very safe driver. At times during the trip, he provided us with options. We always took his suggestions and were never disappointed. Ilija, our awesome guide in Montenegro is passionate about his country and its history. He even lives in the square (the heart) of MNE. A very enjoyable trip, relaxing - even though we saw and heard lots. I highly recommend it.
My husband and I had a wonderful day trip to Montenegro! Filip was our tour guide and he was amazing! We had such a personalized experience from start to finish. We started with stopping for coffee with breathtaking views of Montenegro, then continued to the city of Kotor in which we had another private tour arranged by Filip with a local tour guide there. A lot of history there! We also had a little time to explore on our own. We then continued onto the town of Persat which was beautiful and had a little time for a drink while taking in the breathtaking views of the mountains which meet the coast. Lastly he took us to this delicious lunch! I was very impressed with Filip’s ability to navigate the borders as they can get really backed up. He took us through Bosnia which was beautiful just to avoid the long lines. Please don’t hesitate to book this tour, you won’t be disappointed!
Our driver, Luka, was very knowledgeable about the regions and the history we were driving through. He was very informative about any questions we asked in general about anything. His English - speaking and understanding was excellent. He was informative about border crossing. A very enjoyable trip. He offered us options and had suggestions which we always choose his. The local tour guide, for Montenegro itself, (Elija - unsure of his spelling), was also very informative. He lives right in the square we were touring.

Just got back from an amazing day trip to Montenegro with Filip. We were picked up at our hotel in a spotless beautiful car and began our journey hearing the history of Croatia, Montenegro and so many wonderful bits of info on the sites we were seeing along the way. This trip with Philip as our guide and driver was amazing! He took us on some off-the-beaten path routes as well as hitting all the best photo locations along the way. His knowledge of the area, its history and his personal stories added a lot to the day. And he made getting through customs quick and painless. Great day in Montenegro! Filip couldnt have been a better host. His knowledge and professionalism was too notch. Started with an early pick up to avoid long checkpoint lines. Beautiful drive thru local landscapes and towns. We requested a coffee stop and were able to adjust our day as we went along. Our tour guide in Kotor was a local and knew all about the town and area. Filip picked an excellent lunch spot, food and scenery were excellent. Catovica Mlini. Boat excursion to Our Lady of the Rock was optional. I definitely recommend this day trip with Filip!!
This was an incredible experience. Stefan picked us up right on time and we headed to the border. Along the way, we learned so much about Croatia and Montenegro. He was full of stories and so much information! He was happy to answer all of our questions. Filip had set everything up perfectly. Our first stop was at a beautiful restaurant overlooking the water in Montenegro. We had a delicious breakfast and then headed to Perast and then on to Kotor. Our guide in Kotor, Ivica, was wonderful as well. He showed us around the city and was so kind. He was great with our kids; we all had such a great time! I would 100% recommend this day tour. It was amazing!
LOVED our private day tour in Montenegro. The area and views in Perast were spectacular. Especially seeing Our Lady of the Rocks located in the middle of the bay. Kotor has some interesting buildings and history. Our favorite dessert was Krempita. So light and delicious. We were also very fortunate to have one of the best tour guides! Luka did an exceptional job with planning, adjusting, driving, and keeping us informed throughout the whole day. He even recommended and booked us at Catovika Mlini. The food was outstanding! My friend scheduled a private round trip tour from Dubrovnik to Montenegro to include herself, my husband and myself. The three of us really enjoyed the tour. Our guide, Filip, was knowledgeable and accommodating. He did the driving to and from the tour stops, and provided a lot of information on a variety of subjects. He knew just where to make the best photo stops. He coordinated with associate tour guides (old town Kotor walking tour) and transportation provider (boat to Lady of the Rocks) which were very well coordinated. Everyone involved the tour were very informative. The late lunch place that we stopped at was a beautiful, quaint setting and the food was wonderful. The trip was awesome and I would highly recommend it to anyone. Maybe take a dramamine if you’re prone to motion sickness as you do get on a little boat on some waves in the harbor for a very short ride to go see Lady of the Rocks.

Filip is amazing! He picked us up at our apartment outside of Dubrovnik on schedule and for the next 9 hours took great care of us. He shared his deep and passionate knowledge about the history of the region. Filip arranged a local guide in Kotor, Ivo, to introduce that amazing town over a two hour walk. Again Ivo was fantastic- grew up in this beautiful and historic place and similarly passionate and informative. On the way back to Dubrovnik, when Filip realized there was a backup at Montenegro-Croatia immigration, he took us on a wonderful detour through Republika Srpska- an area we would have never seen! High;ly recommend Filip!

It was a 9-hour day filled with beautiful scenery, incredible history, great food, and unforgettable experiences. The drive itself was gorgeous, with stunning views of the Croatian countryside and coastline. Filip was incredibly knowledgeable about the areas we traveled through. He shared so much interesting historical and local information along the way and also put together a wonderful itinerary for us. He started the day by taking us to a fantastic coffee shop for breakfast with spectacular views of the bay and Perast — the perfect way to begin the day. In Kotor Bay, we had the loveliest tour with Ivo, the sweetest man who was born and raised in Montenegro. His love and pride for his country were so genuine, and he gave us such a wonderful perspective on the history, culture, and people of Montenegro. We then took a beautiful boat tour around Perast and visited Our Lady of the Rocks, which was absolutely breathtaking. Afterward, Filip took us to a hidden gem for lunch — a beautiful home with gorgeous grounds and a lovely restaurant. The setting was incredible, and it was the perfect way to end our day. It was a long day, but every minute was filled with great adventures and beautiful memories. Filip was wonderful at organizing everything and creating an itinerary that allowed us to see and experience so much without ever feeling rushed. His car was extremely clean, comfortable, and nice, and we felt completely comfortable and safe throughout the entire drive. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would absolutely recommend the private driver and tour from Dubrovnik to Montenegro. It was truly special!
Great day trip! The stops for breakfast and lunch were excellent. The felt very comfortable and relaxed during the drive despite the steep terrain. The country was very beautiful. Border crossings were monitored so we would not have huge delays.
