We absolutely loved our tour of the city walls. Mihaela was amazing and the best guide of our entire trip to Italy and Croatia. Her knowledge of the history of the town and the walls was vast and not once did it ever seem boring. She made it fascinating and you could tell she truly loves her city. Her pace was perfect and she made sure we were well hydrated and comfortable at all times. I cannot recommend Mihaela enough and will be recommending her to all my family and friends who travel to Dubrovnik. Thanks again Mihaela you are a true gem and we hope to see you again!
Mihaela was a gem! She was so personable and very informative! Loved that she loved cats too. ;) 10/10 recommend! Hi Lisa suggest you booked this tour at the start of your visit so you get an overview of this beautiful city.
Our private tour of the City Walls with Mihaela was incredible. She was so full of knowledge, passionate, and brought the history of the city to life. The two or so hours we spent with her flew by. I highly recommend this tour and Mihaela. It was a highlight of our visit!
We’re very glad we chose this tour with Mihaela. Walking the City Walls is impressive on its own, but having someone with her knowledge made a huge difference. She shared the history of Dubrovnik in a way that was interesting and easy to follow, with lots of stories and details we never would have learned on our own. She clearly has a genuine passion for the city and its history. We came away with a much better understanding of how Dubrovnik developed over the centuries and the important role the walls played in protecting it. The tour never felt rushed, and Mihaela did a great job finding shady and breezy spots to pause, take in the views, and explain what we were looking at.
We had the chance of making this memorable tour along with Mihaela. She has been amazing guiding my wife and I through the city walls. She provided us with a massive amount of historical information about the city of Dubrovnik, from its very begining up until the Yougoslavia war in the 90’. She pointed out all the most interesting things to do and the best restaurants to visit. The tour was definitly worth the price. Memorable experience! Thank you Mihaela!
If you are able to take one tour in Dubrovnik, take the private city wall tour with Mihaela. We have been on many tours in several countries over the years, and this one is a standout. Not only because of how amazing and beautiful Dubrovnik is, but because of Mihaela's vast knowledge, her ability to communicate with clarity and read her audience while responding with personality. We are a family of four with teenage sons. Each of us thoroughly enjoyed this tour and got so much out of our time with Mihaela. We learned so much and I have a firm understanding of the history of Dubrovnik and the current culture of the city. We feel so fortunate that we spent our afternoon with Mihaela and learned all that we did about Dubrovnik. We visited four countries on our summer vacation and Dubrovnik, Croatia is the only one we want to return to . . . in large part to this fantastic tour. Thank you Mihaela!
Andreja was our private tour guide and she did an amazing job!! So much fun and we learned so much about the history and culture of Dubrovnik. She tailored our tour and was such a pleasure to be with. Highly recommend for any tour!!
She brought great energy and enthusiasm to the tour and was very knowledgeable on the history of the city, country, and region
Love a private group tour when we undoubtedly had one of the best tour guides in Dubrovnik. Mihaela was amazing! We were a party of eight, 60 plus in age, touring the wall in Dubrovnik. Mihaela was extremely informative, excellant english, and just very sweet. The actual walk was much easier than we had anticipated. With that said, it was in September and the temps were comfortable. Amazing tour and we highly recommend! Sorry for the late review Mihaela.
Mihaela was an excellent guide for our Dubrovnik wall tour—knowledgeable, engaging, and attentive throughout. She shared fascinating history and local insights while keeping the pace comfortable, and she knew the best spots for photos and views. Her passion for the city really stood out, and she made the experience far more memorable than if we had walked the walls on our own.
Walking the walls in Dubrovnik is a ‘must do’ and our guide Melhana (hopefully have spelt correctly!) made it a very interesting tour by talking us through the far reaching past up to the more recent historical events. Her passion for this beautiful city and its culture was clearly communicated in excellent English. There are plenty of steps, so beware (!) but the views across the city and the streets below with their terracotta roofs are well worth the climb! Thank you
Mihaela was our guide. She was very well informed, we learned quite a bit about the history of Croatia. She was very fun friendly and personable. She has a great sense of humor. We can’t say enough about how much we enjoyed our time with her.
Dubrovnik is fascinating. Such a beautiful city, full of wonders and rich history. Our guide Mihaela was excellent! Communicative, friendly, very helpful, and one of the best I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting.
Walking the city walls is an absolute must, especially after reading about their remarkable construction and thousand-year history. It was a sunny day, April has unpredictable weather in Dubrovnik but we were very lucky enough so the photos we took on the tour all look amazing. Mihaela wasn’t rushing with the tour, it took us roughly two hours to do the whole tour. First we took a walk on the part of the walls just next to the sea, where supposedly oldest parts of the city lie. She explained how the city developed throughout centuries from initially rather small settlement, and how the construction of the walls grew bigger with the continuous threats the city had to face. Some narrow parts of the walls can feel overcrowded at times, but she would let us know every time we could find a good spot for photos to avoid huge crowds. The latter part of the city walls was the most impressive, as it sits slightly higher and offered a stunning panoramic view of the entire city, its rooftops, and the island of Lokrum. We stopped there for a bit longer, so she could explain the construction of the huge fortress, and she even helped us with some photos. She addressed all our questions regarding Dubrovnik and provided insight into daily life there as a local.
This was a very informative walk on the wall at a comfortable pace. Took about two to two and a half hours. Guide was knowledgeable and friendly. She answered all our questions and gave us great insight into the history as well as current day living situation within the city walls. We had visited Dubrovnik a few years earlier and saw the old town from the streets. To see it from above gave us an even greater appreciation and perspective. The photo opportunities from the wall were outstanding. So glad we did this.
My experience was simply amazing. We left in the morning, and were immediately delighted by the spectacular view of the city, the sea and the surrounding islands. Mihaela was extremely kind and professional, sharing fascinating information about the history of Dubrovnik, its construction and significance over the centuries and my favorite of all: fun facts. :) The tour of the walls itself offers a unique opportunity to feel the history of the city, and climbing the old stone steps offers incredible panoramic views (great pictures). For history buffs or simply for those who want to enjoy beautiful landscapes, this is an experience not to be missed. The walls of Dubrovnik are not only impressive due to their magnificent construction, but also provide a feeling of returning to the past and an incredible sense of pride in the cultural heritage of this wonderful city. I will definitely come back and recommend this tour to anyone who wants to experience Dubrovnik from a different perspective!
Mihaela is an amazing guide. She is interesting and full of knowledge and local tips. Will recommend her to all of my friends!
Our guide Michaela was a young woman with an excellent grasp of Dubrovnik history! She enjoys sharing her knowledge and answered all our questions. On this tour we learnt both historical and contemporary Croatian context as we walked the walls. And the views were stunning. Dubrovnik’s Wall is something you must do. Highly recommend this particular tour and Mihaela! We loved listening to her stories!
This was such a great tour. You must do the City Wall in Dubrovnik! And having Mihaela as our guide was just amazing. She was so patient and passionate about her hometown, local life, history and her family stories. What my wife and really I liked was that Mihaela explained us the homeland war from 1991 and what was going on in Croatia and Bosnia. The views from the Wall are just stunning. Walking on a 1000 year old Wall with a local like Mihaela was the best part of our trip in dubrovnik. Would highly recommend Mihaela and this tour!!! James and Veronica
This is a must if you come to Dubrovnik. Me and my friend booked this tour and had the best time ever. Our guide Mihaela was more than guide! She was so passionate about her hometown, local life and friendly! Walking on the Walls it’s magical. Views from up there are incredible. And having a local guide helped us a lot to learn about the culture and especially homeland war in 1991. Mihaela grew up in Dubrovnik and was so opened for all our questions.I definately reccomend doing a private Wall tour with her! Thank you Mihaela 🫶🏻 Anamarie&Jane
This was the best tour we ever attended and we had the best tour guide Mihaela😊. She was very passionate and answered all of our questions to the last detail.
Excellent experience with Mihaela, by far one of the best guides I have ever had. He's very kind and knows a lot. Definitely recommended, and the tour overall fantastic.
Highly recommended the Spanish tour with Mihaela. Very attentive and friendly, and masters the stories he shared with us very well.
We just did this tour with Micaela and we loved it. She is a local girl, she knows a lot and has told us a lot of interesting things about the history of Dubrovnik in a very pleasant way and in perfect Spanish. Highly recommended!
