★★★★★ Our wine tour with Christina was absolutely incredible! She was an amazing guide, and her choices of wineries could not have been better. Each one was completely different and stood out for its own reason, which made the entire experience feel so thoughtfully planned. And the lunch restaurant she chose may honestly have been one of the best meals we’ve ever had in our lives! Christina made the whole day special, personal, and effortless. Easily one of the best experiences of our entire trip.
We had an amazing day with Mijo. He was knowledgeable and guided us through the experience with ease. We traveled with our 3 boys, and Mijo was entertaining, gave us insight on the area, and showed us the most beautiful areas of Dubrovnik, including Ston. We visited the oyster farms, were greeted with a smile and fresh wine, and made the most amazing memories with our family. We can’t recommend this tour enough! Mijo was the best!
Miho was a great guide and the wines are really fantastic. It’s a hugely underrated wine region and Miho took us to some awesome wineries (special mention to Anticevic - amazing family winery with amazing winemakers). Brilliant day - you won’t regret doing this tour!
Miho was an amazing host! Incredible and adventurous day and I would highly recommend requesting Miho. We so enjoyed the day and had lots of laughs with Miho.
We had a fantastic day with Miho!! He was kind, funny, knowledgeable and served as an amazing guide for the day. Mario - the oyster man - was the highlight of our trip! You get to see a very small family winery and a larger, more boutique winery and we really enjoyed both. Highly recommend booking and requesting Miho, you will not regret it and it will be the best memory of your trip! Thank you Miho for a fabulous day
Absolutely amazing. Miho went above and beyond making us feel like family the whole time. Such great stories and explanations of everything along the way. We were never bored!. We shared so many laughs with the wineries owners as well and truly felt like it was something we could come do with our kids. Again one day.
My husband and I had a wonderful day with Miho visiting 3 wineries, learning all about Croatia and seeing the beautiful countryside. Everything about our experience felt very authentic and special and we were able to top off the day with fresh oysters from Ston. Miho was the best, he went above and beyond his duties to make sure our day was memorable. I highly recommend this tour to anyone searching for a day visiting wineries in Croatia.
My Neice and I had a very good experience with Miho. He was very personable and knowledgeable and added many interesting tidbits to the trip. He was very accommodating and timely and wanted to be sure our experience was a good one. Dafna and romy
I highly recommend this experience! I had an amazing time eating fresh oysters straight from the bay and enjoying wine with a beautiful view — and then again amongst the vineyards at another stunning spot. Everyone I met was so kind, welcoming, generous, and incredibly knowledgeable. My guide, Miho, took wonderful care of me on my solo excursion and made the whole day unforgettable.
Our wine tour was fantastic...Miho was an awesome host and the places he took us were unique and super fun...highly recommend!!
Excellent guide. Highly recommended!! Very knowledgeable, very helpful and entertaining. Great oysters and nice wine tasting.
A wonderful day of sightseeing, food and wine! Miho is a fantastic guide and host for this memorable excursion. Miho is not only knowledgeable but he is engaging, funny and warm. It feels like spending the day with your best friend. Highly recommend this tour and that you ask for Miho as your guide.
This was the most special day! Jacob our driver was so funny and fun. Every winery was unique with amazing people and amazing wine. The oyster experience was great- add it- trust me! Overall, one of the best wine tasting days we have ever had. Thank you!
Miho was an excellent guide. Very professional and personable. The tour was also a very memorable day for us with a good blend of sightseeing, food, and of course, wine. You definitely get a great authentic local experience on this day trip as well, which we really enjoyed. We highly recommend this tour and encourage you to ask for Miho as your guide!
We had a fantastic tour with Miho. He drove us comfortably from the Sheraton hotel to Ston and three wineries on the Pelješac peninsula. Each winery had its own charm and we walked away from the day with smiles on our faces and a bottle of wine for the road. You'll also get the chance to try amazing olive oil, cheese, and some liqueur. I would highly recommend the tour for someone looking for a Croatian wine experience.
This was an amazing experience, from the oysters and wine out on the boat to the tasting at the winery. Our guide, Miho, was excellent and provided us with lots of interesting details along the way.
We had the absolute BEST experience with Miho on our private wine tour through Ston and the Pelješac peninsula! From the moment we met him, Miho went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. He was incredibly accommodating, tailoring the day to our pace and interests, and his sense of humor kept us laughing the entire time. On top of that, his deep knowledge of the region, its history, and—of course—the wines made the whole experience both fun and fascinating. The vineyards we visited were stunning, the wine tastings were unforgettable, and Miho’s stories and insights tied it all together in a way we never could have experienced on our own. This tour was hands down the highlight of our trip, and we can’t recommend it enough!
We had an amazing day with Miho on our tour of Ston and the Pelješac peninsula. Miho was so friendly and had so much Croatian history to share with us on our drive to the wineries. We thoroughly enjoyed the three family wineries we visited, each of them teaching us about Croatian wines and the surrounding areas. We would highly recommend booking with Miho for your tour!
We had the most incredible day with Miho on this wine tour. It's hard to say the highlight of the day - we loved the oysters directly out of the sea and the family owned winery was also amazing. Miho gave us great history and information all along the way. This was the highlight of our time in Croatia.
We had the most amazing private tour with our guide Miho of the Peljesac peninsula. Miho was the perfect tour guide and is extremely knowledgeable not only about Peljesac but also about Croatia as a whole. He pointed out many things along our driver. He is incredibly friendly and very funny! We enjoyed his company very much. Now for the tour itself - We were a family of 6 (all adults) and this was the perfect day trip for us. We are big wine drinkers and had no idea what kind of treat we were in for! We were picked up from our hotel in Dubrovnik right on time and driven to Mali Ston where we met the wonderful fisherman Mario who took us out on his boat and to his oyster farm where we enjoyed oysters straight from the water - a truly unique and wonderful experience that we will remember forever. From there we did a quick stop and Ston and then off to Peljesac to experience two different wineries. The first was a larger operation with beautiful views and the second was family run smaller winery but absolutely wonderful and the owner was so hospitable and lovely. It was amazing to experience both and see the difference in the two to compare. All of the wines we tasted from both vineyards were amazing. We had no idea how good Croatian wine was before our trip! Everyone said this was their favorite day by far during our week in Croatia! Highly recommend.
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5 stars) Tour Company: Dubrovnik Wine Tours Tour: Pelješac and Ston Private Wine Tour with Tastings from Dubrovnik Duration: Half day Guide: Miho A Perfect Blend of History, Wine, and Fresh Seafood Once again, Miho delivered an absolutely outstanding tour experience that perfectly showcased the best of Croatia's Pelješac Peninsula. This half-day adventure combined historical exploration, world-class wine tasting, and an unforgettable culinary experience that ranks among our top travel memories. The Oyster Farm Experience - Pure Magic The absolute highlight of this tour was our visit to the oyster farm in Ston, where we met Mario, the local oyster farmer. This wasn't just a tasting - it was a complete immersion into the traditional way of life. Mario welcomed us aboard his small boat and took us directly into Ston Bay, where he demonstrated the fascinating process of oyster cultivation. Watching Mario pull fresh oysters straight from the pristine waters was captivating, but the experience became truly magical when he shucked and prepared them right there on the boat. Paired with his own homemade wine, these incredibly fresh oysters from Ston Bay created a dining experience that money simply can't buy in restaurants. Milos Winery - World-Class Excellence Our visit to Milos Winery exceeded every expectation we have as wine connoisseurs. The historic cellar provided the perfect ambiance for what turned out to be a first-class facility showcasing world-class quality winemaking. Every aspect of the experience - from the wines themselves to the presentation and facility - met the high standards we've come to expect from premium wine destinations around the world. Historical and Cultural Insights Miho's expertise extended far beyond wine, as he guided us through the ancient stone walls of Ston and introduced us to a local salt farm. Learning that this salt production dates back to medieval times added incredible depth to our understanding of the region's rich history and enduring traditions. Final Recommendation This tour represents everything that makes Croatian tourism exceptional - authentic experiences, knowledgeable local guidance, and access to traditions that have been preserved for generations. The combination of fresh oysters straight from the bay, world-class wines, and fascinating historical context creates an experience that's both educational and deeply satisfying. I absolutely recommend this tour to anyone visiting the Dubrovnik area. Ask specifically for Miho as your guide - his knowledge and passion for the region make all the difference.
My partner and I had an absolutely amazing time on this tour. The scenery was absolutely amazing. Each stop was brilliant - the fresh oysters were incredible and each of the winerys were both breathtaking with top quality wine. Our guide was Miho, who was very knowledgeable about the area and lovely to talk to - my partner and I became engaged on this trip and he helped pull out all the stops to make it a perfect occasion.
Miho was a great guide, conversant in English and the history of the region .. he planned the itinerary meticulously, and arranged for tastings at very good vineyards where the owner/hosts were knowledgeable about the history of wine and wine making in the region .. If you are planning a wine tour, Ask for Miho !
What a wonderful tour! Our guide, Miho, had us laughing from the minute he picked us up at our hotel! He is a wealth of knowledge and so interesting to listen to. We really felt like we learned so much about Croatia and its people, food, and wine. The views and sights on this tour are beautiful, even on an overcast day. We loved the selection of stops as well — such a great variety! Each place was so memorable in its own way. This tour was the last day of our trip and really capped it off perfectly. Thank you so much to Miho for a fantastic, fun day!
We initially booked the Peljesac and Ston Private Wine Tour with Tastings from Dubrovnik and had Miho (Budman) as our tour guide, he was so great that we ended up booking the Bosnia Food and Wine Tour for the next day! Miho is one of the most impressive guides I've ever met, he is very friendly, knowledgeable, funny, and professional. He gave us lots of historical and cultural information and was more than happy to answer questions and gave us great recommendations. We had fantastic two days! Highly recommended!
My wife and I came to Croatia for out honeymoon, and this Wine Tour was one of the best things we did the entire trip. Our guide, Miho, gave us such an amazing experience and was one of the friendliest people we've met. During our trip he took us to some amazing photo spots and gave such a great history of all the towns and landmarks we saw. Towards the end of the tour, he took us on a detour that had gorgeous views of the sea and islands. The wineries we visited were extremely inviting, and felt less like a tour and more like we were invited into their homes for dinner. Everyone on the tour was extremely personable and made the experience unforgettable. If you're looking for something to do while visiting the Dubrovnik area, this is a must!
The tour of Peljesac was amazing. Our driver/guide. Miho, with Doria Ltd, was knowledgeable, accomodating, and humerous! He helped make our visit to my maternal grandparents homeland well worth the time and effort. I give him a 5+ Star review. 👍
We were so fortunate to have Miho as our guide. He is exceptional. All the places we visited from the oyster farm to the wineries were superb - and all made even better by the delightful company of our guide.
We opted for the Peljesac and Ston private wine tour with oyster tasting. To sum it up we had an amazing time with Miho from start to finish. Miho’s professionalism, stories and knowledge made our drives enjoyable. The wines, hosts and scenery were all amazing as well. We had the best time and would highly recommend taking a tour.
We had a wonderful day. Miho was an excellent driver and guide, and it was a lovely experience visiting 3 small family owned wineries. In each location it was just the two of us with the winemakers, a much more intimate experience than we’re used to from wine tastings in the US. Like sitting at someone’s table and having a conversation over a glass (or two) of wine. Each spot also had tasty food/snacks. We learned lots about the history of the region. Finally- it’s not explicitly part of this particular tour (I think there are similar tours that include this), but ask to make time to enjoy some oysters and mussels in Ston. Quite certainly the freshest and most delicious you’ll ever have. 5-plus stars!
We all had a great time with Vodic who taught us a lot about the area, he was very informative and super friendly! The oysters with Mario was a highlight, we really enjoyed tasting the delicious oysters and his wine. The wine tasting itself was a beautiful experience and we left with an armful of delights to take home with us. The town of Ston was very pretty too! Highly recommend!
My wife and I went on the private wine tour from Dubrovnik to Peljesac and Ston, and had a wonderful experience! We would highly recommend it, especially if your next stop is in Korcula, because you can do this on your way and will be dropped off at the ferry you need to take! You get a very private and local experience, driving along the coastline and stopping at small, family owned wineries with tastings guided by the owners. The wine is incredible, and the people you get to meet are even better. This was one of the most memorable experiences of our entire trip to Croatia! Our guide, Miho, was exceptional. He was very friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating. He let us stop for pictures several times, even recommending spots that we should stop and get pictures at. He was happy to discuss any questions we had and was very easy and fun to talk to. We really enjoyed getting to know him throughout the day. He was also very helpful to get us setup for our ferry to Korcula. This experience was well worth it, and we would highly recommend it to anyone!
We did a 3 country (Croatia, Bosnia Herzegovina and Montenegro), 3 winery tour. We visited all 3 countries departing at 9am and back by 4pm! Our driver and guide, Miho, was lovely. He was generously shared stories about the region, the history and even some personal stories. He is a very good driver and even stopped to save a few tortoises on the road. Highly recommend this trip! Please let Miho know we appreciated his insights!
Prompt pick up, good communication. Miho is a good driver with a good sense of humor to tolerate all the dad jokes going on.
Excellent experience. Knowledgable guide . Great timing and explanation of all sights seen Highly reccomend We will use them again
Fantastic wine tour. Fabulous wines and beautiful locations! Would highly recommend to anyone who wants to discover local wines!
Everything was perfect. The wine, the oysters, the view. Miho was kind and great guide. I really recommend this tour if you like oysters and wine. Some of the best oysters I’ve ever had.
The tour was fantastic. Miho, our tour guide and driver, was friendly, thoughtful, and professional. He was super patient with us and made our day even more special. We visited three wineries: Matusko, Anticevic, and vukas. The first one was more of a big production winery but the last two were absolute gems!!! I was so happy to support smaller wineries and meet the people behind the bottles. Just wish I had brought a bigger suitcase! :) This was a great wine tour and I would absolutely recommend Miho as your guide! Perfect day!
From reservation with the agency to pick up by Miho, our tour guide to drop off, we had great communication. I truly recommend this experience for couples, solo travelers and families with older kids. I traveled with my son who is 21 years old and he had a great time with learning about the oyster process, tastings, sites and history provided by our guide Miho! Our Oyster Owner and Captain Mario was an amazing individual. He welcomed us onto his boat shared his knowledge, homemade wine and oysters! He made us feel special. Living in Florida and the East coast most our lives we have had oysters from all over, but these Oysters were truly head and shoulders above the rest. We went on to Vina Vukas Winery and sampled some tasty liqueurs, wine and even sparkling wines from their local vineyard. I did also leave with fresh pressed olive oil. I loved the liqueur made from pomegranate best. The owner was great to answer all our questions after he shared his process and tour. Miho, a native of the area provided so much information and recommendations. We felt so welcomed and left with an appreciation of all that Croatians went through over the years. We chose to add a dinner before leaving and Bota Šare Mali Ston restaurant & oyster bar. Another great recommendation from Miho! The prices were good, portions excellent, and service was exceptional better than I have found in other restaurants. The seafood was very fresh and the entire meal was flavorful. As a Travel agent my clients ask me for special experiences this one will be my top recommendation when in Croatia. Hvala Miho and Mario for a great end of our trip in Dubrovnik!!! We will return!!!
This was a really good tour. Our guide was Ivo. He was great. Knew his country and its wines. He was prompt to pick us up. We headed out and he ask great questions and told us just what to expect. First stop was Ston for a little driving break, some coffee, shopping, bathroom etc. Then on to the wineries. The drive was breathtaking. He gave good descriptions of where we were and what we were seeing. First stop was BV….recommended by Rick Steves! How bad could this be! It was lovely. Marina took us through the tasting. We enjoyed several wines and aperitifs along with an array of appetizers. They have great olive oil- also for purchase. We spent some time making purchases and then moved on to stop number 2. Anticevic. There are some accent marks I can’t find on my keyboard. So sorry. This was a great place. We were welcomed by Roza - who works for her sons. They run the business and she does some tastings. We did a few barrel tastings - always a treat. We had some appetizers and Ivo brought us some pizza to go with our wine. We made some purchases and then got to watch as they took the grapes off the stems with a machine. It was pretty cool to watch. Then on to the last winery that was closer to Dubrovnik. This review would have been a 5 star if not for this winery. It wasn’t awful but compared to the others it wasn’t great. They had quite a few wines and gave us a taste of only 3. It was a much bigger operation than the other 2. The bonus here is that they had chilled bottles for sale and we were closer to our hotel in Dubrovnik. Overall a great day. If you can get Ivo as a guide you will have a fantastic time.
We had an amazing final day in Croatia. Our guide and driver Miho was entertaining and informative. We began the day with an oyster farm visit complete with fresh oysters, home grown lemons and home made wine. Not our usual fare for brunch but so delicious and worth the drive. We then headed to two wineries where we were able to experience unique wines and liqueurs while learning about Croatian viticulture. Our final stop at the olive press made the day complete. Fresh lunch from the garden was complemented perfectly with the olive oil. We would highly recommend this tour if you enjoy good food and good company.
Excellent from the start. Miho, our guide, sent clear instructions on when and where to meet. He was knowledgeable, thoughtful and affable. Beautiful drive to Ston where we met the oyster farmer. He took the three of us on his small boat to one of his farms, explaining how the oysters are cultivated. The oysters were delicious topped with lemon from his own groves and paired with home grown white wine. Then onto a small family run vineyard where we were guided through tasting liquors, red and white wine, and olive oil. A short visit to Ston which can be extended and an amazing sunset on the way back. It’s a brilliant half day trip… book it now 👍🏻
Fantastic experience all around. Our tour guide Jakob was beyond incredible and would highly recommend him. First, we toured the town Ston and got a coffee. Then, Jakob drove us up the peninsula and the views were breathtaking. We stopped at three different wineries with 3 completely different feels. All of the wine was fantastic! Our favorite was Antičević family winery bc our host was the cutest lady I’ve ever met in my life. She let us try every single wine from the tank and just chatted with our group about life, family, etc. for the hour. At the second stop, we were provided with a snack (cheese and olives) which was delicious! On the ride home, we chatted with Jakob and enjoyed the spectacular views. Jakob was so nice and we really enjoyed his conversation! He was also knowledgeable about all sorts of topics so conversation was flowing! Overall, 10/10 experience!
Overall, I would highly recommend this tour. The wineries themselves were beautiful with very nice hosts explaining the wines. The wines themselves were all wonderful and we were able to buy bottles at the vineyards to take home with us. Finally, our tour guide was awesome and very friendly. The drive from Dubrovnik was probably the prettiest I saw in Croatia
This full day oyster and winery tour was the highlight of our trip!! Our driver, Mato, was so knowledgable about the country and every area we went to. The oyster tasting in Ston is a MUST DO here! It is such a unique experience, and we've never enjoyed such fresh oysters, topped off with champagne on the boat! The two wineries we visited were a great choice, a commercial one followed by a smaller family winery. Experiences at both were unique and amazing....we only wish we had even more time! We left something in Mato's car when he dropped us off, and after a quick email, he turned around and came right back to give it to us...amazing service! Can't recommend this company enough, and Mato in particular!!
To say this is the best wine tasting experience I’ve ever been on would be an understatement. The boats are incredible, the wines delicious, and can’t recommend this tour enough.
We had such an amazing time with Stjepan on this tour. Not only did we get to spend time at a small family owned winery where we met the owner and tasted their grappa and wines, but we also got to go out on an oyster boat with Mario who shucked us oysters fresh from the bay. Absolutely incredible time. And even though there is a long drive to get to the peninsula, Stjepan spent the entire time telling us about the history of the region, the people, and the culture, which kept us fascinated the entire time. Would absolutely do again.
This is for you if: Love wine, want a private experience (2 people), can dedicate a full day, want a dedicated guide, want to learn about history. My wife and I really love wine and given we were celebrating our honey moon, wanted to do something private for just us two. This exceeded our expectation in many ways as Filip, our guide, was exceptional. He picked us up from our hotel and took us to some outstanding places throughout the day. His depth of knowledge was incredible as he taught us many things about Croatia history as we drove to our locations. By the end of the day we considered him a friend as ensured are safe return home. If you are interested in this tour, I would recommend asking for his availability. Our itinerary consisted of visiting (3) wineries (included), stopping for lunch (not included but we knew this before we signed up), and stopping by one a historical city wall landmark. We went to Matsuko, Family winery Antičević, and Edivo. These were all distinctly different experiences. All were good - our favorite was Antičević as this is small family owned place were we were lucky to spend time with the matriarch of the business - it felt like we had been invited into someone’s home for amazing story telling and of course, fantastic wine. A must visit. We also stopped by Winery Milos (fourth winery) for a quick purchase of some rose wine. For those new to Croatian wine (like we were), they are known for their red Plavac Mali which is a red grape only found in this region. My personal favorite is Dingac - so if you see this type make sure to try. For lunch we went Muszle i ostrygi. This was incredible and truly authentic. This was a small place started by a couple (who I believe were ex-bankers) where they literally catch mussels in the water directly in front of their house and steam them. Enjoy these fresh mussels with some bread and white wine. Make sure to go here. We cannot wait to go back and also to see Filip again.
We absolutely loved our wine tour! Our guide, Stefan, was so personable and knowledgeable about the region. He brought us to three very different wineries that were all very unique and had lovely wines and cheese! We also loved getting to enjoy the gorgeous views along the way!
