From the terrace, you can see the turquoise waters of the Rijeka Dubrovačka bay stretching out in front of you. The bay is surrounded by steep cliffs and rocky hills, covered in lush Mediterranean vegetation. On the right side of the bridge, you can see the new city of Dubrovnik, Lapad and cruise ship terminal in the Port Gruž. On the left side of the bridge, you can see the rolling hills of the Dubrovnik countryside, dotted with small villages and olive groves. In the distance, you can see the majestic Mount Srđ, which offers another spectacular viewpoint of the city. Overall, the view from the terrace of the Dr. Franjo Tuđman Bridge is a perfect combination of natural beauty and historic charm, offering a unique perspective on one of the most beautiful cities in the world.
The Ombla River is unique in many ways. It is the shortest river in the world to have a delta, and it is also one of the few underground rivers that flow above ground. The river is fed by underground springs, which keep the water temperature constant throughout the year, making it a popular spot for swimming and fishing. The Ombla River is also of great historical and cultural significance. In the past, the river was used to power numerous mills and other water-powered machinery. Today, you can still see the remains of some of these old mills and the impressive waterfalls that were created to power them. The river and its surroundings are also home to a wide range of flora and fauna. The area around the Ombla River is a protected natural reserve, and it is home to a variety of fish, birds, and other animals. Overall, the Ombla River is a beautiful and unique natural wonder, offering visitors a chance to explore the beauty and history of this fascinating region of Croatia.
Mount Srđ above Dubrovnik offers a truly impressive panoramic view of the Elafiti Islands (the Elaphite archipelago). Since Mount Srđ is located at an altitude of 412 meters, visitors can enjoy an unobstructed view of the Adriatic Sea and this beautiful island chain in the distance.
Discover one of Mount Srđ’s most compelling attractions: a newly exhibited aircraft from the Homeland War, displayed beside the Homeland War Museum at historic Fort Imperial above Dubrovnik. Combining powerful wartime heritage with breathtaking panoramic views over Dubrovnik and the Adriatic, this open-air exhibit offers visitors a memorable experience of the city’s resilience, history, and beauty.
The view from the postcard view point at Srđ Hill in Dubrovnik is absolutely stunning and is considered to be one of the best viewpoints in the city. From the top of the hill, you can see the entire city of Dubrovnik, the Adriatic Sea, and the surrounding countryside. Looking towards the city, you can see the distinctive red-tiled roofs of the Old Town, the impressive city walls, and the many churches and palaces that make up this historic city. The view is particularly impressive during sunset, when the warm light of the sun casts a golden glow over the city and the sea. At the top of the hill, there is a fortification called Fort Imperial, which was built during the Napoleonic Wars. Visitors can climb to the top of the fort to take in the stunning views and to learn more about the history of the area. Overall, the view from Srđ Hill is a must-see for anyone visiting Dubrovnik. It is a breathtaking reminder of the beauty and history of this unique city and its surroundings.
Cavtat is a charming small town, just 20 kilometers southeast of Dubrovnik. The town is situated on a scenic bay surrounded by hills covered with cypress and pine trees. It has a rich history that dates back to ancient times. Cavtat is known for its picturesque old town, which features narrow streets, quaint houses, and several historic landmarks, including the 15th-century Rector's Palace and the baroque Church of St. Nicholas. Cavtat is a popular tourist destination, attracting visitors who are looking for a more relaxed and peaceful alternative to the bustling city of Dubrovnik.

I’m grateful for the great experience; it felt like discovering the region alongside a friend. All the best as you continue your ventures.
Booked via Viator for this excursion during our Princess Cruise. It was great and we would never have been able to see Dubrovnik and nearby cavtat without our personal tour guide, Dino. He was a safe driver (smooth and comfortable compared to an uber we took back from Old Town), provided excellent commentary, and took us to some beautiful spots for some great photos and memories. Great communication via WhatsApp- from Dubrovnik Gruz port, the meeting spot is literally 3 minutes walk from the ship just outside the gate, and Dino confirmed this the night before and on morning of meeting. We asked for 915 am meeting which was great for timing a snack at cavtat and a final drop we requested at old town for us to have our own lunch, explore, and make our own way back. You could chance it with a 60 euro per hour taxi but booking ahead with Viator and a trusted guide was worth it for us. A perfect half day tour.
We arrived a day early for a group tour and wanted a tour that didn’t emphasize the walled town or Game of Thrones. We loved our guide’s flexibility; he picked us up at the airport and dropped us at our hotel at the tour’s conclusion. This tour had a relaxed pace. We explored various parts of the modern Dubrovnik. We especially enjoyed seeing the city from the top of the cliff and two beautifully restored houses along the Ombla River. We got “the big picture” of the city and surroundings that prepared us for the additional details provided on the next day’s group tour. Our guide’s flexibility allowed us to sip coffee on a sunny afternoon and discuss local culture and history, which was an unexpected pleasure. Highly recommended.
Excellent customer service. Car couldn’t accommodate us so the operator got us in another car with Sika - who was knowledgeable and fun. Had a great time, and especially loved Cavtat. Nice to escape the crowds - Would recommend.
Wonderful tour. Knowledgeable driver.
Nice overview of Dubrovnik in small SUV, perfect for me and my sister. Tour was mostly in the car with photo ops. We spent about 30 minutes in Cavtat. Dino was our guide and was personable and gave us a mix of history, present day, and personal anecdotes. I walk with a rollator-walker and Dino went above and beyond to make sure I was able to get to all the photo ops, offering his arm to get me over uneven terrain and managing the rollator in and out of the car. I appreciate this so much.
This was a great private tour for a shore excursion to see Dubrovnick in a few hours. Our driver was very nice and provided a lot history and information about all the place he took us. Ours favorite was the Russian fighter jet and the ability to see all of the Old City from the park.
We had Dino showing us around Dubrovnik. He was an excellent guide, showed all the great spots in and around Dubrovnik.
Dino was a great tour guide and driver. Had a great day getting to know the beautiful city and gorgeous views.
This was a great day in Dubrovnik. We got to see lots of things in a short period of time. Our guide, Dino, was fantastic. Not only did he talk to us about Dubrovnik, but he shared personal experiences and facts about the culture. I would definitely recommend this tour.
Our guide was fantastic…very knowledgeable and answered all questions. The city was very beautiful and so clean!
We had a wonderful tour with Dino. Communication prior to the tour was excellent. Dino was well versed in the history of the country and shared many insights of the area. We would highly recommend this tour.
Wonderful tour around Dubrovnik area and hills with beautiful views with Dino. Dino was fun to spend time with and very knowledgeable. He timed the sunset view perfectly.
Excellent tour and guide. Elvir was the best and went over and beyond what we expected. Very knowledgeable about everything. Would definitely recommend this tour and Elvir as a guide. Had a really enjoyable day.
While the views were phenomenal and we visited a few interesting areas, we felt that this driving tour took up a lot of valuable time that we could have spent exploring more of Old Town Dubrovnik as we only had 2 nights in the town.
Comfortable car and very nice driver. We visited places we would never have seen otherwise. Plenty of time to soak up the views.
We are a family of four with two grown up kids (aged 18 and 21) who have just come back from five days in Dubrovnik. No doubt Dubrovnik is an amazing city but this is peak season so very busy, and this was our first time in Croatia so we were keen to see the surrounding area. We were able to do this thanks to a great day out with Dino as our driver and guide. Dino is a very friendly, warm and engaging person who has excellent connections and great local knowledge. Our trip consisted of stops at the one of the smallest rivers in Europe, panoramic views and great photo opportunity over Dubrovnik, then onto a delightful small resort town of Cavtat where we had ice cream and were able to spend time looking around Cavtat. On Dino’s recommendation we then stopped for lunch on the way back to Dubrovnik at a nice restaurant where the food was fresh, very nice, and really good value especially compared to Dubrovnik Old Town. Thank you Dino for a memorable trip.
We had an amazing time in Dubrovnik with our knowledgeable , professional , friendly, kind tour guide, Luka . The effort he put in to show us all the beautiful places in Dubrovnik was amazing. His knowledge about the history and more current events in this area is fascinating. We could walk on our own time , take pictures, when we looked around, Luka was there to answer questions and tell us what we wanted to know. We booked a trip with Luka to Montenegro, he arranged for a boat trip , advised us what to see and where to eat . His driving skills are very good and we felt very safe and comfortable in the vehicle at all times. We had a luggage problem that he helped us with, and if it wasn’t for his effort and communication with the people at the relevant place we would have battled to get our luggage. He spoke professionally and friendly in his language and explained our situation. We can recommend him by name for trips in the region . From my Beautiful Wife ❤️ Tanya and myself , we say in our language “ BAIE DANKIE “ thank you !!!!!
Really great day seeing the best views of Dubrovnik with a stop in Cavtat. Dino was a very personable driver showing us all the highlights and even a hidden gem to do wine tasting. We did this tour as soon as we got off our cruise ship and had plenty of time to walk the city walls later that afternoon.
Our Guide Ivan (not sure if spelling was phenomenal. He was very knowledgeable of the history and brought us to breath taking sites.
Elvira, my driver and guide was very knowledgeable, stopped at heaps of places so that I could take photos and it was an enjoyable morning for me. Highly recommended.
We had a wonderful private panoramic tour of Dubrovnik and Cavtat with Davor. We really enjoyed the tour. Davor was extremely knowledgeable and provided us with first hand experience of the country and its history. He also took some great pictures of us. I would highly recommend it. The company and Davor were very flexible with timing, which was appreciated.
Wonderful private tour of Dubrovnik area and Cavtat. We had a great tour with Davar. He was extremely knowledgeable and showed us the highlights of his beautiful town. He was extremely flexible with timing and took great pictures of us. Thank you!
EIvir was awesome! We liked this tour so much we booked a second one with him! He took us to Tresteno Botanical Gardens, an oyster farm, salt farm in Ston, Kapetanova kuća in Mali Ston and Milos Winery. This was our most favorite day and tour of our 10 day trip!!! Venturing outside of the main city was so much better. The air is clean and fresh, the views of the water and mountains epic - truly an amazing time. The best, freshest oysters you ever had, and Kapetanova kuća Captain's House so delicious!! Thanks Elvir for sharing your favorite local spots it made for a very special trip! Croatia is gorgeous!!
Davor was our guide and he made the trip: knowledgable, personable and easy to chat to, his personal stories made the history of some areas of the tour more relatable, lovely tour and a treat for it to be just us!
Elvir was a great tour guide. The view of Dubrovnik is wonderful. We saw a couple of other spots along the way to Cavtat, too. It’s a great way to see other areas just outside of Dubrovnik.
Elvir was a great guide and very knowledgeable/ professional. He showed us a great overview of the Dubrovnik / Cavtat area.
Better than bigger bus tours coz you do not need to share transport with other groups, and Cruiser Taxi can take you where big buses cannot. Elvir handled our tour and he's the best! Kind and helpful, and apart from sharing background information and history of places we visited, he even offered to take our photos using his camera and forwarded these to us during and after the tour.
Nice different perspective for Dubrovnik. Elvir was was very accommodating. The view on the hill above the city was amazing. Thanks
Elvir crushed it. What a great day! It was 92-F crazy hot (August) and his very classy nice ride was super cool with A/C & water provided. His phone took better shots than mine, so he gently took over and got *THE MONEY SHOTS*... ((see a few attached to this review)) - especially the epic high ridge looking out over all of Dubrovnik. Holy moly. We visited Dubrovnik river/spring, the new bridge scenic view, took our time Cafe-ing (my term) in Cavtat by the coast, walked through the town & now and crannies of the old-city ridge walkways. Elvir was really good about giving us space and free time if we wanted, and always super responsive meeting at the car again when we were ready to cool down. He got us situated at the castle/old-town fortress (Kings landing) and made sure we were all set to hop on the shuttle back to our cruise ship, and sent us on our way. Great job, great day, very happy.
It was a great way to see the sights on a very hot day. Elvir was a wonderful guide and we enjoyed the air conditioned drive through the beautiful countryside of Croatia. Highly recommend him!..
We’ve been on many tours, and by far, Steve was our favorite tour guide. He was funny, down-to-earth, friendly, and knowledgeable. He not only offered to take our picture everywhere we went, he took all our sightseeing suggestions, and had the car at a comfortable temperature. We highly recommend this tour, especially if Steve is your driver/tour guide/photographer!
Awesome tour guide, very dependable. A/c was cold in his vehicle and he was very flexible and ask us what we wanted to do....would recommend the tour.
We were in Dubrovnik for a short trip and found out about cruiser taxi through Booking. First we booked a 3-4 hour trip through the city to some great spots. Our personal highlight: the lost place Kupari. In the sixties the top holiday destination on the Adriatic for the beautiful and rich, today a lost place and memorial to the war. At the end we went to the magical little port town of Cavtat. There we had some time to ourselves and took a walk around the city along the water. Fantastic beaches and good opportunities to eat and stop off. Our guide - Elvir completely tailored the tour to our needs/wishes. We also learned some exciting stories about the history of Dubrovnik. We enjoyed it so much that we spontaneously booked another day trip with Elvir to Bosnia and Herzegovina for the following day. Absolute recommendation if you want to plan an excursion tailored to your individual needs. Thank you very much Elvir and cruisertaxi!
I had an amazing time and will definitelly be coming back in the summer, and asking for the same tourguide as he was really helpful and friendly. It felt like visiting an old friend.
The tourguide was amazing, took us to many beautiful spots that only locals know, as well as popular turist attractions. I had a wonderful time and will definitely visit again
As they say, whole life there is something to learn,Elly is the best tour guide you can get in the region
Great communication from start to finish. Elvir was ready for us at the agreed time and the tour was really interesting, he took us to some beautiful views and recommended a lovely place for lunch. Would recommend to others.
Elvir was a great tour guide, from the initial booking communication was excellent, he was waiting at our cruise port at the agreed time. The tour was longer than expected & we saw some great places we wouldn’t have seen on our own. Elvir recommended a lovely place to eat after the tour. Would recommend to others.
Amir was friendly and did a nice job showing us around, he also ensured we were happy and comfortable
Well organized tour. Elvir our guide was informative and helpful. The van we toured in was clean and comfortable with A/C.
What a wonderful tour! Elvir was punctual, flexible and very accommodating. This was the best tour on this trip (and we had several in different countries) because we were NOT rushed and inundated with history and information. We had plenty of time to explore on our own or just sit down and have some coffee/beer/ice cream and enjoy the beautiful views. Great tour, I would highly recommend it!!!
Absolutely brilliant tour with fantastic tour guide Elvir. Elvir was happy to change the arrangements of the tour to start on Cavtat as this was where we were staying. Elvir took us to places of interest that we probably wouldn’t get to see on a group tour.. Elvir did take us up a hill/mountain so we could overlook Dubrovnik however he didn’t expect the view to be in the clouds. After about five minutes and Elvir getting his puffer jacket out of the car the clouds cleared and we had the most spectacular view of Dubrovnik. As I had stayed before in Dubrovnik (forty years) ago and after discussing this with Elvir without prompting he took us to where we used to stay. Would totally recommend using Cruiser Taxi and ask for Elvir…
Very nice trip. Cavtat very lovely sleepy town. A nice change of pace. Our guide,Elvar, seemed to hit all the highlight spots before everyone else did. Great planning. Thanks so much. I’d recommend!
Elvir was a great guide and very flexible. Our family had a great time in his tour and enjoyed all the details he provided at each spot. He also captured some great pics of our froup
Elvir was a great guide. He arrived on time and took us to all the spots and explained lots of interesting details. He was flexible and started the tour early and made sure we had time at each place. Highly recommend his services
Taxi was waiting on us. Nice to be on our own schedule. He was easy to understand and informative. Nice not being on a bus with a herd of others.
cant tell you how delighted I was bumping into Martina who was working her charm while I was sweating it up the stairs to find out about the cable car tickets. She convinced us to take the Sunset Panarama Tour that afternoon and wow wow wow!!! Firstly it was a bargain sitting in an aircon bus for the six of us compared to what we would have paid for the cable car tickets alone. We were placed in the hands of Zoran who was not only a charming gentleman with an incredible knowledge of history, wars and much more - but also quite an artist when it came to taking incredible photos on mobile phones of our group. The tour took us to the new Bridge with a great view of the old and new town - then to the river that feeds the city with their spring water and then an absolutely spectacular sunset to end of a great day. Well done you guys - it made our stay their a memorable experience and wouldn't hesitate in recommending them to anyone else.
I recommend cruise taxi 100%. Great guide very available. He shows us beautiful places.
