The Ombla River is unique in many ways. It is the shortest river in the world to have a delta, and it is also one of the few underground rivers that flow above ground. The river is fed by underground springs, which keep the water temperature constant throughout the year, making it a popular spot for swimming and fishing. The Ombla River is also of great historical and cultural significance. In the past, the river was used to power numerous mills and other water-powered machinery. Today, you can still see the remains of some of these old mills and the impressive waterfalls that were created to power them. The river and its surroundings are also home to a wide range of flora and fauna. The area around the Ombla River is a protected natural reserve, and it is home to a variety of fish, birds, and other animals. Overall, the Ombla River is a beautiful and unique natural wonder, offering visitors a chance to explore the beauty and history of this fascinating region of Croatia.
The view from the postcard view point at Srđ Hill in Dubrovnik is absolutely stunning and is considered to be one of the best viewpoints in the city. From the top of the hill, you can see the entire city of Dubrovnik, the Adriatic Sea, and the surrounding countryside. Looking towards the city, you can see the distinctive red-tiled roofs of the Old Town, the impressive city walls, and the many churches and palaces that make up this historic city. The view is particularly impressive during sunset, when the warm light of the sun casts a golden glow over the city and the sea. At the top of the hill, there is a fortification called Fort Imperial, which was built during the Napoleonic Wars. Visitors can climb to the top of the fort to take in the stunning views and to learn more about the history of the area. Overall, the view from Srđ Hill is a must-see for anyone visiting Dubrovnik. It is a breathtaking reminder of the beauty and history of this unique city and its surroundings.

On the left side of the bridge, you can see the rolling hills of the Dubrovnik countryside, dotted with small villages and olive groves. In the distance, you can see the majestic Mount Srđ, which offers another spectacular viewpoint of the city. From the reviews, it appears Elvir is the owner and the guy to do the tour with. We unfortunately did not get Elvir as our tour guide, but some guy who showed up in sweats, didnt get out of the car to greet us, downplayed our other tour and restaurant choices, was on the phone constantly with the speaker on while driving, had to stop to fill up the tires with air, had to stop again for gas in the car, bought a package of Tuc crackers and after eating several, offered a few to us which we declined. My husband had enough of his negativity and sensing this and his tip slipping away, our guide got somewhat better but didnt rescue the tour enough. Get better back ups Elvir, this guy was a waste of our money
The organisation was excellent. I was sent a photo and directions to the meeting point and then a photo of the car with it's number plate. The driver/guide was very good and helpful. I particularly enjoyed visiting the Arboretum.
We are very happy to recommend this tour. Good communication for where to meet. Wonderful scenery! Our guide, Dino, was very pleasant and a good driver. He gave us good information about what we were seeing and was relaxed about us taking time to enjoy the various stops. Good value for cost.
Elmir met us outside the port gates. He took us to some great viewing points or the port area Trestno arboretum was cool and interesting but only took around 30 mins. The highlight was the hill top viewing of Dubrovnik. Superb. Recommend the tour and Elvir as a guide
Today we disembarked the Celebrity Constellation to meet Elvir at the port entrance. It’s a warm day and the aircon in the car was very welcome. Elvir took us to some brilliant panoramic views around the port and gave background on the buildings and the region. Trsteno arboretum was a good choice beautiful and shady. The highlight was the hill top view of Dubrovnik. Just wonderful. Highly recommend travelling with Elvir. He was informative but not intrusive
Great viewpoints. Had a great perspective on Croatia. Learned a lot about the history of this beautiful country.
This was a great tour and we got to see several beautiful spots. The view of Old Town was incredible. Elvir was knowledgeable and personable. Would highly recommend.
The arboretum was very relaxing and beautiful. At the end we got to see one of the best views in Dubrovnik!! Elvir was very accommodating throughout the trip.
We visited Dubrovnik 4 weeks ago and had the pleasure to have Mr. Elvir as a tour guide. His tour included transportation and a tour througt Dubrovnik Old city and the surrounding area. Elvir was very professional and offered us great service, including some tips on restaurants and things to visit after the tour. We were very impressed by his presentation of historic context of the city and general information, as well as some local stories and interesting things. We would recommend Elvir and his company to everyone who would like to have a tourguide in Dubrovnik. 10/10
Everything was excellent, professional. We experienced Dubrovnik in a completely different way. I sincerely recommend the cooperation
We spent an incredible afternoon with our tour guide, Elvir, who showed us some of the beautiful sights and hidden gems in and around Dubrovnik. Elvir was friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable of the entire area and its history. We highly recommend Elvir and his company, Cruiser Taxi, for a relaxing and enjoyable tour experience!!
We had wonderful time with our organizer. He was kind, easygoing , fun and he shared with us some really important historical facts about the city. He is a great driver. He knows the city very well and he can certainly give you advice where to have a beautiful lunch, and what to see. We recommend him from our hart.
Highly recommended. I visited Dubrovnik with my friends. Our guide was very kind. He took us to great places. We really enjoyed it.
Fabulous mini tour, Our guide-driver, Elvir picked us up promptly and drove with care to each of the places of interest, taking time to explain them on the way. The Trsteno Arboretum was particularly beautiful and the view of the Old Town from Mount Srd was simply stunning (not uploaded a photo of the latter so as not to ruin the experience!). If you are considering doing the cable car I would personally chose this trip instead as much better views. Highly recommended.
Amazing! Elvir knows the best spots to see the city. Off the beaten track with no crowds but the best views! A must do trip!
This trip is a great way to spend a morning away from the crowds in the old city. Communication before the trip with Elvir was excellent and he confirmed the pick up on the morning of the trip. The taxi was clean, spacious and made for a comfortable ride. We really enjoyed the Arboretum, the gardens are lovely. The view from Mount Syd was breathtaking, far better than anything you would have seen from the cable car. If you fancy spending a few hours away from the crowds seeing different sites in Dubrovnik this trip is for you.
We had a very enjoyable tour with Elvir and saw some lovely places. Elvir was an excellent driver and guide. We certainly recommend him and will use his services again if we return to Dubrovnik.
Communication between booking and pick up were efficient and helpful. The panoramic views of Dubrovnik were amazing and we we enjoyed walking around the gardens..
Definitely take this trip. You get taken to some amazing spots and the views are incredible, much better than the cable car. You're not rushed and get plenty of time to take in the area around. The taxi is very clean, you get a bottle of water. Highly recommended
Thinking about spending €27 per person on the cable car? Don't. Get this tour instead. Amazing views of the Old Town. Some hidden sites and entry to the Trsteno Arboretum. Elvir is a great guide. Gives information and history throughout the tour. The car is clean and spacious. He provides water. He even picks you up from your hotel. Cannot recommend enough
Cannot recommend highly enough. Elvir was friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating, taking us to the places that we wanted to go, while stopping off at a few places he recommended on the way. We did not feel rushed at any point and enjoyed both the journey and the destinations, very highly recommended tour.
Huge thank you to Elvir for our private tour, glad he stopped us in the old town to give us his info with no pressure to commit. Was easy to book the trip and he tailored the day to what we wanted to see with lots of local information - was a great way to see places you wouldn’t normally get to! Would recommend:)
Our ride with our driver Elvir Zeba was perfect. He was right on time for our pick up and great driver. Would definitely recommend
