Great experience in Mostar, Kravica waterfalls in themselves are stunning, but the park and area around the falls was tired and litter strewn.

Loved the old town Mostar & that it was restored to its original after the war. Even at this time of the year it was crowded, the cobblestones on the main part of the old town were very slippery, especially that it was raining, it made it very difficult to walk on them. The waterfalls were beautiful. The guide Hannah was very knowledgeable & spoke well English.
This was a brilliant day out. The guide TJ was great, very entertaining. He made the 4 hour journey go by quickly! He and the driver were both very good. Mostar and the waterfalls were both worth the long journey. Would definitely recommend. Good value for money.
Long time on coach but worth it. Good shoes required bridge and streets are slippery as polished stone due to foot traffic. If you want to eat do this first then shop. Guide (Matt) was excellent gave our tour a very good invite to the history and the culture. He explained about the different foods and wines, no question went unanswered. The waterfalls were well worth visiting but there are a lot of steps to get down and back up in the short time there. It's a long day but well worth it
We visited Mostar and Kravica Falls from Dubrovnik on a small group tour today. Overall, it was a great experience and well organized. The communications with the company for pickup were clear and easy to follow. Our guide Mateo was knowledgeable and passionate about the history of Bosnia Herzegovina and provided his own insights to living there. However, his stories tended to be a bit rambling and his sense of humor didn’t always hit the mark with our group. He was friendly and efficient at navigating the border crossings. We had a very good local guide in Mostar who guided us through Old Town. She was very informative and gave us lots of good tips on how to get the most out of our time there. The Kravica Falls are beautiful, but be prepared for large crowds both around the falls and in the water if you choose to swim. Overall, it was a great experience and gave us a chance to experience new destinations.
Had a really good day, the guide was excellent, in our opinion though there was nowhere near enough time at the waterfalls and too much at mostar. We knew we'd spend a long time on the coach but for us it would have been worth it had we not had so little time at the waterfalls which btw you have to pay on top of the initial fee. If I were to go again I think we'd probably hire a car and do it ourselves as the waterfalls was the main reason we went.
Long day . Too little time spent in Mostar. After the guide took us around the outside of the old town) didn’t show us anything in the old town). He suggested we eat in Mostar as there was not much choice at the waterfalls. After having lunch, there was no time for looking around and had to go back to the bus. The waterfalls were an horrible experience. Hundreds of people, lots of bars. Couldn’t see the waterfalls for all this. A horrible way to view what should be a natural feature. If we had the choice , wea would have just visited Mostar, spent longer there and avoided the waterfalls although. Because of all of this, we didn’t enjoy the day.
Great trip with knowledgeable tour guide Matt who explained the history and politics of Bosnia Herzegovina. Also made good choices on the boarder crossing to save time. In Mostar the local guide again explained the area and its religions present, and why Mostar had been awarded UNESCO world heritage site status. Afterward Mostar there was a chance to relax at the beautiful waterfalls. An excellent trip but it is a long day, but you pack a lot in.
A highly informative tour which was well organised from start to finish. Have already booked another tour with this company.
Had a wonderful day to Mostar and waterfalls. It was a long day but worth it as amazing scenery. Our tour guide Tina was brilliant. She was very confident, informative and friendly and ensured the trip went as smooth as it could go. I will cherish the photos of the waterfalls and we also paid 20 euros to go out on boat close to the waterfalls which was well worth it for the photos I got!
10/10, you must do this trip! Although this is a long day, I must agree with everyone it is so worth it! We had Maria as our guide, who was very kind and extremely informative.
After spending 4 weeks travelling in Croatia I would rate this tour as the number one best thing to do while in Croatia. Our toor guide TJ was insightful, knowledgeable and funny and kind. Let TJ show you his hometown and be transported to a by gone time, simply magical .
Absolutely stunning journey, spectacular views and fantastic commentary on board the coach. Mostar was a brilliant place for a visit, world heritage site, great atmosphere and restaurants. Plenty of souvenir shops. Kravica Waterfalls are stunning and well worth a visit.
A very early start from Cavtat, first pick up and and have many pick ups in Dubrovnik. Prepare for a long day, 6am until 7:30pm, (Cavtat) but very worth it, great guide on main bus (very funny lady) and also at Mostar, explaining all the history. Coffee stop on way, then plenty of time to buy lunch in Mostar and explore, reasonable prices. Then onto Waterfall which is amazing, but get down there quick you only have 1 hour. But great day, don’t go when it’s peak sunshine, pick a cloudy day. 😊. Thank you to Operators who got us a shuttle taxi back instead of doing all the stops again.
Very beautiful trip! The operator was excellence and very informative. High recommend!! Thank you, from Canada :)
Fascinating taste of Bosnia. The visit to Mostar was interesting even though it was very crowded. There was sufficient time to explore for ourselves. Kravice waterfalls were stunning and worthwhile visiting despite my initial scepticism it was great to have some relaxing down time after Mostar. Overall a lovely day.
Gorgeous places to visit, informative guides but just not enough free time to enjoy. Especially the waterfalls (35 min)
Really enjoyable day and many thanks to our guide who was informative and helpful throughout. Very long day....12 hours... and a lot of driving. However, 2.5 hours in Mostar was not enough - after a locally guided tour (excellent!) and getting a bite to eat we would have loved to explore a bit more but just didn't have the time. Could I suggest a tour that involves Mostar only be considered (much as the Kravica Waterfalls were worth seeing also). Thanks for a great day.
Lovely to see, Mostar was beautiful. Little disappointed with the waterfall, very busy and both were very much tourist traps. A long day for what the trip was. The tours guides were great and very informative.
Oli our guide was very informative and entertaining and the execution was smooth and efficient. Nice day out, recommend
We had a great day. Only downside I would say is it took so long to get there (5 1/2 hours from Cavtat pickup) that we felt we didnt spend enough time there. It’s well worth a visit though such beautiful scenery. Our bus tour guide Maria was outstanding and so knowledgeable as was the guy who did tour in city. Oh and it was very hot 41 degrees! Glad we did this trip though
A wonderful tour to both Mostar and Kravice Waterfalls. Time on your own to enjoy Mostar and eat some great and very affordable food at one of the restaurants. Recommend good shoes to Kravice, many slippery stairs to get both up and down to the water.
Really enjoyed this trip the guide was so nice very informative throughout the whole journey loved mostar had a lovely lunch and it was so cheap could be difficult for some people to walk as it is all large cobbles and especially going over the bridge very slippery the waterfalls were amazing could have happily spent more time there deffinatly worth doing this trip
Had a fantastic tour with Laura, she was very informative. Beautiful views of the Bosnian Herzegovina countryside and Croatias coastline, Mostar old town is enchanting, with lots of restaurants and extremely competitive prices, we found a lovely restaurant in an enclosed market on the left at the end of the old town, it had spectacular views of the bridge and the food was delicious.
A long day but really good trip. Picked up from Cavtat at 6am and spent next one and a half hours picking up people from Dubrovnik area. Guide was very informative and scenary stunning. Mostar and the waterfalls were both amazing although busy. Had lunch in Mostar overlooking the bridge which was delicious and good value. Once back in Dubrovnik, changed to a minivan which took us straight back to Cavtat without having to go back around Dubrovnik dropping other people off.
Be prepared for an extremely long day and if going in the summer months then the border crossing can take hours. Mostar itself is very much Turkish themed, the shops are similar and despite being urged to haggle by the rep they wouldn’t reduce any amount what so ever. The place is surrounded by the most turquoise rivers I’ve ever seen, there are some beautiful views around the city and the old bridge. The old bridge is amazing, a little slippery if wet but a beautiful landmark to visit. The crooked bridge is also worth a trip to see it too. The prices for food are cheap. It’s well worth a trip to say you have been there but expect a long day
Our tour guide Carmella was absolutely lovely. She was so informative and interesting. She went above and beyond to help us try and get my partners missing wallet back. Would totally recommend this tour. It is a lot of sitting in the bus. But Carmella made sure we were not bored and kept amusing us with interesting fun facts about the places we were passing. The town of Mostar was beautiful and the waterfalls were breathtaking. I would totally recommend coming in April as there were virtually no crowds (the old town did have a bit but it was manageable nothing too crazy) and we got some photos of the waterfall and it looks like it’s just us there.
We read the reviews and through doing so, we went with the more expensive 18 seater bus option as it was likely to save time being ahead of the bigger coaches, plus less time at customs vs having 45 people onboard. The tour was a long day, but worth it! 3 house in Mostar which was enough and then on to Kravice waterfalls which are lovely. They're like a mini Plitvice. Couple of breaks for toilet, food, coffee etc. Someone said about the stop after getting theough the Bosnian boarder/customs having a Bakery with more options over the road and we got a apple pastry which was lovely so we were glad of that option. Our tour guides were funny and easy going and had some interesting information along the journey. Great day 🙂
A long but lovely day out. The views were amazing and our guide on the coach was very knowledgeable as was the guide round the old town
We had a very nice trip there we learned a lot of Croatia and Bosnien from our guide Carmella. Kravica waterfalls was a nice place to visit. In Mostar old town our guide walk us through the history in a nice way , it's a sad history. We recommend you to take this trip.
We highly recommend this trip, our drivers and our guide were first class, informative. kind, and helpful, the whole experience was very memorable, Mostar was great, waterfalls amazing, downside was wait at border control and a long day but worthwhile to put up with that as trip was worth it. Pauline turner.
A well-organised tour booked through Viator, the day begins very early - 6:00am pick-up in Cavtat and Dubrovnik. A luxury 45-seater coach took us for the whole day with informative and friendly guide Maria. Bosnian border crossing from Croatia was speedy and efficient in only 20 minutes for the whole party (stayed on the coach). Then a couple of hours’ smooth drive to Mostar (we learned about much of the complex history of Yugoslavia, the Civil Wars, Bosnia and Croatia on the way. We spent 3 hours in the mountain valley town of Mostar with an informative guide Johnny and after 1 hour were free to roam round the Old Town - easy to navigate: several main cobbled streets either side of the famous Old Bridge. Plenty of souvenir opportunities and hearty Bosnian food in the many restaurants. After lunch back to the bus for an hour drive to Kravice Waterfalls - the Iguacu of mainland Europe - a span of around 6 cataracts overall several hundred metres wide and 25-30 metres high. The falls are accessible via concrete steps and railings about 100 metres down/up or a more leisurely roadway. The falls deliver water into a lake which is suitable for swimming. The way back to Dubrovnik is via the Neum crossing from Bosnia and took about 2 hours in total. All in all, about a 12-hour day, but an enjoyable and well-run tour.
Michael appears to be the only way to book a trip to the waterfalls and Mostar tour from Cavtat. But don’t be put off he is very accommodating and knowledgable. We were staying just up the road from Cavtat and he arranged a car pick up from our apartment which met the main coach further up the road. Another couple also picked up by our car which confirmed how well organised the pick ups were. The falls are unbelievable but don’t be fooled by the optional €10 entry fee. You need to pay this else you can’t see the falls. But it’s well worth paying as you have the falls and a few cafes at the bottom to enjoy a cool drink or 2. We opted for a well earned i ice cream from the girl there which was also very cheap. Mostar is amazing too, our guide was exceptional. He grew up throughout the war with Serbia and his take on it and knowledge really brings it home how horrific the times were. Hopefully everyone gets him as their guide as he pulls no punches and we noticed a few times he had to pause to take a breath as he was emotional in his delivery. Our only downside was the return trip. Unless near to Dubrovnik where the drop offs were the same as pick ups, with cars waiting, we weee just dropped off at a bus stop with no cars waiting. We only had a short walk (1/2 mile) back to our apartment but the other couple had a few miles to navigate. Also be aware there is a compulsory charge of €3 per person to cross the Bosnian border. So take some cash, ideally €13 per person for the falls and Bosnian border charge. Well worth the visit though
Beautiful old town and bridge. It was great to learn a little bit more about their history. It was a long day but worth it.
Actually being in Mostar and Kravice waterfalls was absolutely brilliant. Loved every second of both parts of the tour when I wasn’t actually sure if I’d enjoy it. However we were trying to cross the the border from Croatia to Bosnia for well over an hour, which of course is no fault of the travel company. There were also obnoxious Italians on our tour that were half an hour late back to the coach from Mostar and then laughed about it which was incredibly frustrating. All in all a very long day but totally worth it.
We did this as a private tour with three others in a mini bus. 7am start from Cavtat, through the border crossing in around 5 mins, arrived at the waterfalls before the crowds. Spent a couple of hours there, swum in the lake, and had a drink, then back in the bus and off to Mostar. An hours drive, and we were at Mostar. A really nice old place with lots of history, the genocide museum is a must. Had lunch at Kaldrma (see my other review), then back to the van for a couple of hour trip back to Dubrovnik. All in all, a great day out. Our driver and guide was called Disco, a real character, very knowledgeable and very funny.
The trip was well-paced with a few bathroom breaks and opportunities to grab food. Our guide was knowledgeable and helpful throughout the day. Mostar is a unique city and we loved eating lunch at a restaurant with a view of the bridge. The waterfalls were stunning and we enjoyed swimming in them. Could’ve used a half hour more at the waterfalls but overall, it was a really great day.
Seeing a country I'd never have expected to see. The waterfalls were busier than I expected but still very glad we went.
Mixed reviews from my friends and I. It was a 0600 start from Cavtat, the bus was new, clean, not a ton of leg room but overall very nice - we left Dubrovnik around 7:40 after picking up extra guests. Make sure to pack your own breakfast, we had 2 bathroom stops on the way to Mostar. Kravice waterfalls are stunning, if you want to swim you’d need more time than you get there (1h). We appreciated lots of interesting history of Croatia and Bosnia from our tour guide Maria while on the bus. Mostar itself is a lovely old town street and stunning bridge/river that gathers all the tourists. We didn’t see the rest of the city with the time available (2.5h). The 40min city tour was well done. The main touristy street is extremely crowded, even in May and filled with typical tourist stores. We didn’t get back to Cavtat until 1930. Overall we’d recommend to take your own vehicle to make costs better if you’re in a group so you can stay at the waterfalls longer and see more of Bosnia. The $100 CAD each seemed a bit steep for just transport for a 2h drive, but makes sense if you can’t drive/travelling solo.
Starting from Cavtat meant a 6am pick up and also means you pick up everyone else joining the trip, I went for the coach up to 45 people option. this meant we didn't start the journey from dubrovnik till around 8am. there is also a border control stop, we were there for over an hour as there was also another coach crossing the border. we had a short stop for a toilet break and drink stop. personally thought the choice of food was very limited here, I found the bakery over the road had much more choice. the first stop was the waterfalls. they are stunning, being April was far too cold to go swimming but the sound and watching them was amazing! we had an hour stop here. you should note there is a walk down steps and slopes for the waterfall and it's the same route back up. there are places to stop n rest if needed. there is also a small cabin where you can get a drink and toilets available here. we arrived in mostar, where we were met by another guide, personally I was hungry and more interested in getting something to eat at this point, it was hard to concentrate listening to the guide and hard to hear as it was quite busy with tourists. but he was very detailed and knowledgeable. also it did say in the tour details that there was free entry to turkish house included, but it wasn't. the guide said it was 2.50 euro if you wanted to go, i didn't go to the house. there are plenty of places to choose to eat, I opted for a restaurant less busy and it was delicious (review left seperately). we had 3 hours at mostar to explore and eat. so manly ice cream options, so many different flavours. lots of shops selling traditional items. we headed back to dubrovnik, our guide estimated we would be back approximately 6.45pm to dubrovnik, and then its a further half hour to Cavtat. fortunately they had arranged smaller transport for those staying in Cavtat which meant we didn't have to be on the coach for all the different Dubrovnik drop offs. this was a blessing and much welcomed. we eventually got back to Cavtat around 7.30 pm and having been out since before 6am was a very long day. I didn't mind the long day, trips like these usually are. overall I loved it, the waterfalls were beautiful and Mostar is such a beautiful place, and the price wasn't too expensive, you do need to pay additional waterfall entrance of 10 euro and on return to croatia there is tourist tax of 3 euro to pay per person. views from the coach are gorgeous, if you can keep your eyes open. zzzzzzz only giving 4 stars as more detail around timing is needed in tour details, I didn't take breakfast and lunch was very late in the day, and was much longer than 6 hours as detailed. tips: take something for breakfast, you won't have lunch till at least 1.30pm sensible comfortable shoes loose comfy clothes take Water take cash, euros accepted in Mostar.

Nice trip...a bit too long though, 12 hours but it is worth it.. We enjoyed the beautiful places they took as to in Bosnia/Herzegovina...The tourguide in Mostar is excellent too.
Incredible day visiting the Kravice waterfalls and city of Mostar! Waterfalls for amazing and so was the weather, the city of Mostar was equally amazing and stunning from the locals foods to the bridge! Maria our tour guide was brilliant Highly recommend this tour for anyone visiting Croatia
A excellent day out. We went on the smaller minibus which worked very well and we were picked up from outside our hotel in Cavtat. Be warned it is an early start and a long day overall. Our guide was excellent and gave us lots of interesting facts, she was from Bosnia, so was able to give us some history too. Mostar is a must see and very interesting, so good to see the rebuilt bridge too. We also enjoyed seeing the Turkish House. We had plenty of time to look round and have an enjoyable lunch. The Waterfalls were lovely in the afternoon and again there was time to swim and have a drink. There were two toilet stops so everything was catered for. We definitely recommend this trip.
Very long but enjoyable day trip. Booked through TripAdvisor and got in touch with tour company directly over WhatsApp late the night before who were quick and helpful to organize our pick up from Cavtat. Early 6am pick up and return 7.30pm and we were actually very quick with the border crossings, but you do tour Dubrovnik a bit collecting people. Kravice very pretty and worth getting in the water. Mostar a surprise with its Ottoman heritage. 3 hours was long enough for us. Mostly tourist shops and food. Prices are good... lovely meal for 6 eur and beer 2 eur. If you are holidaying and have a spare day it's a nice thing to do that's a bit different to everything at the coast. We paid slightly extra for the mini bus and I think was well worth it, quicker and more comfortable. Our guide Marija was very knowledgeable and explained lots which we enjoyed.
Very good day. Hotel pick up on time and we had an excellent driver (Luca) who was extremely knowledgeable and gave us lots of information and insights into the history of the area. Waterfalls were spectacular and Mostar was a fascinating place to visit. We thoroughly enjoyed the day.
Amazing day out! It is a long day but totally worth it! The waterfalls are breathtaking and Mostar is also fantastic. Maria was a brilliant guide and explained all about the history of Yugoslavia as well as giving recommendations of food to try for lunch. We had a great time!
We had a great day visiting Mostar and the Kravice waterfalls. It started a little rough as there was a fatal traffic accident on our route to Dubrovnik which meant we were at a standstill for 2 hours after a 6:15 pick up. Once we arrived in Dubrovnik to collect the rest of the group it came to light that we had been added to a larger group of approx 40 people even though we paid specifically for a smaller 18 person group. The reason given for the change was due to the delay so I’m happy to overlook this in the circumstances. The tour guide gave us information for most of the long journey which passed the time and gave us some knowledge of Bosnia’s history. Mostar was beautiful and well worth visiting. We were advised to be aware of pick pockets and beggars which was good to be warned of so we could take extra care of our things. The local guide we had was very knowledgeable about Mostar’s history and we also had a tour of a Turkish House. We had 3 hours in total in Mostar which was needed to see everything and get a bite to eat for lunch. The Kravice waterfalls were breathtaking. We took our swimming things so we could take a dip and I would highly recommend this. Swimming shoes are also a good idea to take. We only had an hour here so just enough time to take a quick dip and some photos. Then we travelled back. Once we got to Dubrovnik we were transferred to a private taxi to take us back to our resort which was good. My only negative is the driver talked on his phone and to the guide constantly. As we were sat at the front it got a little annoying as it was a long day and we just wanted some peace and quiet especially on the way back. Be prepared for a long day of travel but it was worth it!
It’s a really long trip, made even longer if you go from Cavtat, as the pick up is at 6am, not 7. Trip very good though, journey seemed interminable . Maybe look for other options, if you’re travelling outside of Dubrovnik. .
I can't rate this trip in any other category than excellent. Because of the distance of travel, the tour starts very early depending on which hotel you are staying at. Our hotel was the first pick up at 06.00. But the organisation was brilliant, with the mini bus being onsite for around 05.55. After collecting all of the passengers, we picked up the guide, who was full of local knowledge and surrounding knowledge. The waterfalls were an unforgettable sight and experience. They are described as the "Niagra Falls Of Europe". When we finally got to Mostar, the sights were incredible. The prices were also "very cheap", and they accept Euros so you dont need to worry about local currency. As an example (although Im not a smoker), 20 cigarettes were just over 5 euros. Compare that to around £14 or 16 euros, you can see how much cheaper it is in Bosnia. In conclusion I would highly recommend this trip to anyone who visits Cavtat or Dubrovnik.
