Smashing day. I would say bring a good bit of cash with you. Very few machines in Bosnia. We were picked up by a car in cavtat and brought to Dubrovnik to link with coach. Slightly mixed up as to what was happening but it all worked out. Same on the return. Maria was full of knowledge. Main thing bring cash. Mostar is very nice as is the falls.

Great day and knowledgeable guide.
Booked this trip because it was advertised as day trip from Cavtat. Paid extra for smaller group but we were actually picked up at 6am from Cavtat on a big bus and were taken to Dubrovnik where we were then transferred to a smaller mini van that had several more pick up in Dubrovnik. Van had aircon but where we sat, the vents couldn’t be directed towards us so all the cool air were blown else where. It was a hot and miserable ride. The tour guide in Mostar was useless. We couldn’t hear her most of the time as she spoke very softly and monotonic. And when we can hear her, she basically repeated everything the other guide on the bus told us. Our tour included the Turkish House and she couldn’t be bothered to show us where it is. She just pointed, “over there by the bridge”. This place was packed with so many people and with the heat, it was unbearable. Second week of September and it’s still raging hot here. Waterfall was refreshing but again, too many people. I would not recommend this trip at all unless you like crowds and long bus rides in the heat.
This is a long day, so be prepared (but it is worth it). We were exactly 12 hours from start to finish. Stephan was our driver for the day. He was pleasant and knowledgeable on the areas we visited. Kind of a crazy driver, but he got us to each stop safely! A few things to note. (1) Make sure you bring cash! You will need it for park fees and many if the shops and restaurants in Mostar. (2) Be patient at border crossings. You will need to get out of the bus at EU checkpoints to have your passport checked. (3) Be ready for a great learning experience. Hearing of the war for Independence in the 90's and seeing some of the destruction is humbling. (4) At the falls, they tell you that you need to walk down. There are many steps and some are quite steep. There is a train available to go down into the valley and back out. Price at time of this writing was 1 Euro per person each way. Bring swimming suits if you want to beat the heat. Changing rooms are available. (5) The drive back to Dubrovnik from the falls was with the price of the entire trip. Stunning beauty!
Mostar was great, absolutely amazing. Bus driver very scary. The waterfalls are not worth it. Stay in the bus especially if it's hot. Little to no changing rooms if you want to swim. Only one and it had a queue about 30 people outside it the heat.
Amelia our guide was lovely and so informative. Mostar was stunning and our local guide was also so informative. Shops were full of trinkets. We had the kebab at the restaurant suggested by the guide. Food was very good. Could have done with extra hour at Mostar. Waterfalls were picturesque but absolutely mobbed. Given the choice, I would go to Mostar on its own and give the waterfalls a miss. Going in a smaller group was a wise choice.
We were on and organised trip. The guide was very knowledgeable about the Mostar area being from the City. He was very entertaining and caring ref my wife who has a stick to walk with. Very knowledgeable about the 1991/1993 civil war and related family history about leaving to get away from the war. Really enjoyed the day. The Waterfalls are beautiful but if you suffer from li.ited mobility be aware that the little train that runs up and down every 10 to 20 minutes only goes so far then you have to cope with quite steep steps and crowded conditions going down. All in all a lovely day. Tony and Marie
We booked a day trip to Mostar via Get your Guide and learnt that in future, you should always check the review of the operator on Google, as “Get your guide” is just the platform for all tour operators. And they position only the good reviews in the front. First of all, our bus was late for 5 mins, not a lot but quite a lot when you wait under 12 degree at 6am, drizzling and not sheltered. it sounds great when they pick you up at 22 locations, our bus was already half loaded when we board and yet we stopped another 6 times, took about 43 mins in total before we head out. Not sure what time the guys before us starts waiting. The best part is at the custom. Only 1 officer handle our bus of about 60+ people, you need to get off the bus and stood under the rain to queue. The whole process took about 30 mins, you are lucky if you are at the front of the queue. 20 mins coffee/ toilet break. For ladies there are only 6 cubicles, if your bus is the only bus at that time you have to choose between having a coffee or go to toilet cos both have long queue and you won’t be the only bus. Again, unless you are one of the first to get off the bus you can have both. Rosa our guide is not the typical cheerful and knowledgeable type. Very strong ascent (Period =pair-hee-odd), history are reading from script, (think audio book) slightly worse than a recording because of the repetition. She repeats twice at least in everything she says like a broken record, and thrice on things that’s important to her, ie. Tax and entrance fees in cash only. On the contrary our local guide in Mostar Aidon is so much better, huge contrast. Rosa also didn’t manage the group well. People were seating in different places and personal belongings were moved around. She doesn’t care. Waterfall doesn’t worth $10, if you have a choice. Overall I think this tour is poorly managed. The guide played an important role.
Long day but mostar old town and waterfalls were beautiful. Our guide was fantastic so knowledgeable and interesting telling us all about bosnia and herz, Croatia and former Yugoslavia which she had experience of living in both. Would be good to note that you can go swimming at waterfalls although a bit cold at time of year we went but others wre in swimming. Bit of a pain going through border control twice on way there and twice on way back. However still a great day and we'll worth it!
It was a very fun trip. Our guide Marie was very informative and it wasn’t too hot. The trip was very long from Cavtat…..We left at 6 AM and arrived back approximately 7:30 PM. But g coach transport was fine!
The places were beautiful and the tour guide was great it is just a very long day and a lot of time on the coach. It would be helpful if In the information pack you advise people to take cash as I had zero as used my card everywhere as we had to pay 3euros tourist tax and then 10 euros into the waterfall which I thought would already be included. Then all the places in Mostar only took cash for souvenirs and drinks so I had to go all day without as much as getting a drink. I withdrew money in Mostar but as it is Bosnian money I got just enough for food and the waterfalls and with a fee I didn’t withdraw anymore. Had I known before hand that you can use euros I would have withdrew before I came to the trip. Overall I don’t think I’d recommend due to it been a full day on a bus especially if you are picked up in cavtat as it’s 5.5 hours after all the pick ups are done to you getting to Mostar and it’s a long day.
Fantastic day trip , picked up and dropped off from cavtat 6am/ 7pm , comfortable coach , air con , very good driver and even better guide , also handed me back my sunglasses I left on the previous days trip to Montenegro 😎 ..
Took this trip to Mostar and Kravice Waterfall! Both were amazing experiences! Definitely not to be missed! Such an enjoyable tour, made even better with a very informative guide/ driver called Luca. He provided information continuously throughout the whole trip! Had plenty of time to explore both venues. The colour of the water in Mostar and at Kravice will remain in my mind forever! Mostar had lots of great places to dine and the food is delicious! Wear comfortable shoes because the path to the bridge and beyond is very hard to walk on. There are raised cobbles and the bridge can also be slippery! The Turkish House is also interesting shpukd you want to visit it. Some tours include it as this one does otgers not but do try to go! Overall its a great day out lasting about 10 hours. Highly recommend!
To start,do not believe the start time if travelling from Cavtat. Even though it clearly stated an 0700 pick up from our hotel,it was 0600. We were on the small group tour. The guide was friendly and organised. On the way she suggested we had a bit less time in Mostar and a bit more at the waterfalls. As no one on the bus knew any different we went with the suggestion. I advise if you do the tour, have longer in Mostar and a lot less at the falls ( see comments below). We thought Mostar old town was lovely with a lot of history and the guide was very informative. However,he walked so far in front of the group that at times we lost him in the crowds of people. But,by the time the tour finished, and a quick lunch,we had to rush back to the bus giving no time at all to investigate the town further. We arrived at the falls, which are fantastic. But the beauty of the falls is totally spoiled by the bars, restaurants , loud music and people doing the conga to make it worth spending more than 15 minutes there. In summary, travel very well organised, but given the length of the day,13 hours, we would not recommend this tour unless you are much, much closer.
Excellent tour. Really enjoyed it and enjoyed Marija's knowledge and friendly nature. Mostar is a fascinating town. Busy place but very enjoyable.
Long but very interesting day. Got pick up from the hotel at 6:00 and got back at 20:00. Our guide, Maria, was full of information and told us about the history and present of Bosnia and Hertzegovina, Kroatia and times in Jugoslavia before it broke down. The waterfalls were amaizing and city of old Mostard beautiful. I can highly recomend this activity for your holiday.
We booked the 7 person tour so we were in a smaller vehicle which was very comfortable. Important because you are spending quite some time travelling. Lora, our guide was a very competent driver and was also brilliant at telling the story of her homeland. As you will know, a complicated story, which she was able to convey clearly. She also picked some really nice photogenic spots to stop along the way. The Kravice waterfalls are well worth the visit and if you have time do take a swim. The entrance to the pool is very stoney so it’s good if you have footwear you can use. Also changing facilities are limited (there are toilets). Mostar was a real surprise - very hot but well worth a visit our guide Johnny gave lots of really good insights into the history of Mostar including a great explanation about the bridge jumpers and we actually got to see some of the jumps. We also opted for the Turkish house visit although Johnny preferred the title Bosnian house. He also gave us a really good tip at the end of the tour that we should pay a couple of euros at one of the mosques to give entry to a courtyard overlooking the river where we got some brilliant photographs of the famous bridge. Top tips. Do not forget your passport. You will be passing through at least three border controls Remember to take euros with you as many places will not take credit cards Drink plenty of water Don’t forget suncream
We loved the kravice waterfalls, it was so refreshing the water was around 12c but don't let that stop you! Very well organised guide and driver, very informative on sightseeing and telling stories of the past yugloslavian reign.
A must do! Simple as that! We were staying in Cavtat. Pick up was easy. 15 people on the tour. Everyone from a different nationality but a really friendly group. Your guide was spot on, just gave you the good stuff. Easy border cross now the new bridge is there. The waterfalls are stunning. Take your trunks as you can swim! I had to go in my boxers as couldn't resist. They’d dried off before the bus as it was that hot. Mostar is the perfect place for lunch after and a really unique town. Really recommended!
Excellent tour with informative guide, Maria & lovely friendly driver. Great team! Had adequate time at key locations. Interesting hearing about the politics and history of Croatia and Bosnia. Would recommend. Plenty of rest breaks. Things to note are the 6am start time (not 7am) and 12 hour day (not 10).
We had had a very disappointing tour experience to Montenegro a few days earlier from the same company, and nearly cancelled the Mostar tour. We are so glad we didn’t! It seems if you get lucky with your guide, then it just makes the whole day. It was a long day - we were one of the first pick ups at 6am, then one of the last to be dropped off at around 8 (to Cavtat). However the day flew by. Our driver (his name began with P, but we forgot exactly what it was) was smily and very safe, and seemed happy every time we came back to the bus happy! We also got lucky with speedy border crossings. Our guide Maria was awesome! She gave an interesting and relevant running commentary on and off for most of the journey. We learned a lot about Yugoslavia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, politics, religion, the economy, local industries, and left feeling like we really had an understanding of the history of the region. She also shared lived experiences, which made everything feel very real and in context. The waterfalls were busy and touristy, but beautiful- had a dip in icy waters and a great iced coffee. Mostar was lovely- the old town very pretty and great architecture. It was also very busy ( we went in peak tourist season) , but we took our guide’s recommendation of what foods to try and ate downstairs in a place called Urban- we had a full meat sharing course with 5 different traditional dishes, a traditional salad, amazing bread, baklava and traditional fig bread for dessert, and some local wine and Bosnian coffee. The view from there was beautiful, everyone very welcoming and friendly, and it was also cool and misted with water spray!! Be prepared for a long day, but it was great.
Waterfalls stunning Knowledgable guide in Maria Bus driver friendly Mostar was interesting full of history Turkish house a must visit
Excellent guide and driver. Very passionate and knowledgeable about history of country. Comfortable travel with appropriate stops and beautiful scenery, cultural experience
Well organised day and very informative about the local area and history of Croatia Both the guide on the coach and in Mostar were excellent Just to be aware it was almost a 13 hour journey with 45 mins at customs both ways
It is quite a long day added to which we were the first to be picked up which didn’t help. We went for the small group tour and we travelled in a very modern mini bus. Maria the guide explained the countryside we were travelling through up to the Bosnian border. She was very informative and explained in detail about the war, why it took place and the after effects. Driving into Bosnia she told us about the history of the region and again how they were effected by the war. At Mostar we were met by a local guide who took us through the streets and across the famous bridge. We went in peak season so expected it to be busy but it was heaving with people which made it difficult to get anywhere quickly. It was 38 degrees and we had 2 hours to look around. This wasn’t really enough time to have lunch and shop. We did however buy the ticket for the Turkish house which is small but beautiful and only 2 Euros if you want to do it yourself. Mostar will accept Croatian Kuna in the tourist areas or Euros if you don’t have the local currency. We then travelled to the Kravica waterfalls which we were looking forward to. We pulled up in an enormous car park and it was packed with tour buses and cars. This was mid afternoon and very hot. To get to the waterfalls you have to climb down hundreds of steps which also means you have to climb back up them!! I would not recommend for anyone with mobility issues . The falls are absolutely beautiful but it was so busy there was nowhere to sit or even put down our bags. We had a paddle but didn’t swim as we only had an hour so grabbed drinks at one of the many cafe/ bars. I think out of peak season it must be a wonderful experience. All in all I’m pleased we did the trip, we saw so much of the coastline and countryside. Mostar is magical and so are the waterfalls however in peak season it may be better just to have more time in Mostar without the waterfalls. Maria and her driver were excellent and very professional.
Absolutely fantastic trip with this company. Ivan our driver was excellent punctual, great knowledge and keen to help with anything he could for you. Trip itself was unbelievable stunning waterfalls and Mostar is a beautiful town.Wellworth the money
We enjoyed this full day excursion to Mostar and the waterfalls of Kravice in Bosnia Herzegovina. The pick-up in the early morning at the agreed point went punctually on time and during the bus trip the guide told us a lot about the history of the country and the sights that awaited us. In short, we are satisfied with this excursion. However, I do criticize the behavior of both the guide and the driver of the bus who spoke to/rebuked the group of participants in an improper tone at the border between Croatia and Bosnia Herzegovina and vice versa. It is not always clear to tourists who do not know the situation at the border what is expected of them in terms of procedures and formalities. The tone that both (guide and driver) take towards their guests is downright unacceptable.
Long day (pick-up from the hotel in Cavtat at 6 a.m. and return at 8 p.m.) but very interesting. During the trip, the guide "promotes" the places to visit and gives a short lesson in the history of Bosnia-Herzegovina and relations between Serbs, Croats and Bosniaks. The waterfalls are a heavenly place and swimming is for those who are less cold (water at 16-17°). Mostar is a magnificent city, it's a shame that it is so difficult to navigate the streets because of the number of tourists. I highly recommend this visit out of season, when there are fewer tourists and the temperature is lower. The food is excellent but the 3 hours are a little tight to really take the time to eat and visit the city.
