My family and I enjoyed our Montenegro day trip tour. Being able to visit a different country while on our Dubrovnik Croatian vacation was cool. Our tour guide was great, informative and kind. The bus driver was also awesome and took great care to keep everyone safe and sound. Getting through the borders was tedious but our tour guide really helped us all to get through the process as quickly as humanly possible. We visited the lady of the rocks in Perast, Kotor and saw some cute cats in the old town. The only thing that I wouldn't do is eat lunch at their suggested restaurant outside of the city walls. The food was unseasoned, bland and not worth the so called discounted price. The restaurant bathroom was dirty as well. Other than that, take the day trip to Montenegro and eat lunch at one of the restaurants inside of the old town in Kotor.

Itinerary
The tour starts in Dubrovnik
Admire the views of the Bay of Kotor on your way to Perast and Kotor.
According to legend, the local seamen made an oath to the icon of Madonna and Child which was found on a rock in the sea. They laid a rock in the Bay upon return from each successful voyage, and over time the small island emerged.
Today, you can find the Church of Our Lady of the Rocks on the island. The church contains over 70 works of art, among them the ten-meters long, The Death of the Virgin. The island is accesible by a short boat ride. Alternatively, feel free to explore the town of Perast during your free time here.
Enjoy free time to explore the Kotor Old Town on your own. Explore the narrow streets and attractions such as St. Tryphon Cathedral and the Square of Arms. After, relax and enjoy the sights on the return to Dubrovnik.
This stop is included only in the small group option: Perast, Kotor and Budva. Visit the charming town of Budva, famous for its walled Old Town and some of the best beaches Montenegro has to offer. Take up to 2 hours to explore the town before returning to Dubrovnik.

We went in November and were reasonably lucky with the weather. No issue going through customs either way as it was low season. Driver was very good and we had a fantastic time visiting Our Lady of the Rocks Perast and Montenegro old town. Long day but very enjoyable with amazing sights!
The island in Perast is nice for photo shooting. It us small and you can finish it in 10 minutes, if you don't go inside the church, which is very crowded. Kotor us beautiful and worth the trip. Our driver was nice and accommodating but did not say much, he was mostly a driver not a guide.
The trip locations visited were as promised except the optional boat ride in Rotor wasn't available. Our guide, if you can call him that, Milko gave is very little information and certainly didn't guide us. On the return trip, we were dropped 6 blocks from our pickup point with a "it's that way" directions. We had no idea where we were.
Very limited sight seeing opportunities, hardly any commentary on local history, culture, life to engage the tour group. Immigration wait/ processing times can get horrendous if a few buses line up behind each other. Felt my day would have been better enjoyed in Dubrovnik itself.
I highly recommend doing a small group day trip to Montenegro. The 9 passenger van allowed us to use a smaller border crossing with no wait and avoid the long delays elsewhere. While I did not book the Budva option, the driver announced we would be going there. In the end it was my favorite stop, but I do not think it is appropriate for the operator to change the itinerary (even for the better) without prior communication.
Niko was an incredible host, so organised and knowledgeable, really helped us to get the most out of the day, fantastic humour and kind soul, hopefully more people in the world can be this kind, absolute highlight of our trip. Highly recommend this trip with Niko :)
Fantastic day. Niko was the best guide. So informative & courteous!
Our guide made our group experience amazing and funny. He gave us all necessary information to keep organization and not being late with schedules.
Excellent experience with Niko, went very smoothly but be aware that the border crossing takes a lot of time, which obviously cant be helped by the tour guide but just keep it in mind!
If you can get a tour with Niko GET IT. He was wonderful and we had a great time. Highly recommend
We really enjoyed our tour to Kotor but the best bit was our guide Niko. He always kept us fully informed as to what was happening and when, and was both knowledgeable and informative.
Great experience, lots of time to enjoy each location! Nikolas was a great guide!
Great experience ! Really enjoyed my time and Niko was great and fun
Niko was amazing! Very knowledgeable and respectful. The free time at both locations was enough to do what we needed. He also had recommendations of what to check out while there. Overall, I would recommend!
The locations were excellent. It was a nice chilled day, with plenty of time to enjoy the scenery. Great day.
Nikolas is a great guide. The weather was nice the whole day and kotor was crowded. The guide gave good suggestion on restaurants and also made sure we were on time after each stop so we could go back to Dubrovnik not too late as it took time to cross the border.
Niko was amazing. Amazing personality and hospitality.
Niko was the absolute star of the show!! I had a lovely time getting a preview of Montenegro. This is a great way to cross another country off of your bucket list in a day.
The tour Montenegro is a very excellent travel experience with Niko our tour guide. He is so excellent in his cultural and historical experience. He made everyone comfortable and make sure we enjoyed our travel..thank you Super Tours.. excited for the 2nd trip to Bosnia.
Great tour and funny tour guide, let’s not forget the great driver too! Niko, the tour guide was very informative, funny and clear with instructions. Highly recommended and great for day trip. The experience was life changing!
It was a really nice experience. Got the right amount of time at each place!
Niko was great fun and very knowledgeable. An interesting and amusing day out . The border control was a bit of a pain - thank goodness there weren’t many coaches waiting!
Nice experience with our guide Niko, it was wonderful, make all our expectations
This is only transportation to the 3 cities. There is no city tour or acclimation. They drop you off and pick you up.
The tour itself was ok, with good time management. However, one thing that made us uncomfortable was the tour guide, Niko. If you find it difficult to say “no,” this tour could be stressful. You may feel pressured to spend money at places recommended by the guide, and if you decline, his attitude can change dramatically. At first, guide seemed very friendly and welcoming. However, after we arrived at the first stop and some guests decided not to take the boat tour, his attitude changed. He even commented, “What’s wrong with the people?” In Kotor, lunch was optional, and we were supposed to have free time. Although he promised to provide everyone with a map at the gate of old town, he instead led everyone to a restaurant. We cannot say for sure whether he received a commission, but the situation gave us that impression. Overall, the tour itself was okay, but the guide’s attitude and the pressure to follow his recommendations negatively affected the experience.
If you want to check out the Bay of Kotor while you are in Dubrovnik then this is the perfect solution. Boris is a knowledgeable guide as well as courteous and efficient, while Mira is an excellent driver. Couldn't recommend more highly!
Absolutely amazing! Views are worth every money, our guide Nico was fantastic ! He explained everything twice, so everybody could ubderstand. Every meeting was on time, with no excuses! Nice and polite, but strictly following the plan and procedures. Great day!!!
Nikolas was our guide. He was very welcoming from the start. The pickup was easy and smooth - prearranged from our hotel. Perast was lovely. The boat trip was efficiently organised. Nikolas ensured we always had the information we needed so that schedules could be adhered to. Kotor was also lovely. The only downside at Kotor was the walk back to the coach - 20mins away. My mum walks using a walking stick and she struggled a bit with this. We were also stuck at the Croatian border back for 1.5hrs, but this was out of anyone's control. Overall, great value for money and a good day out. I recommend it!
Excellent value for money! We had plenty of time to explore both Perast and the beautiful old town of Kotor without feeling rushed. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Both places were absolutely stunning, and I would highly recommend this tour company to anyone looking to explore the area. We paid a little extra for the boat ride and entrance to Our Lady of the Rocks, but both were very affordable and definitely enhanced the experience. The whole trip was relaxing, peaceful, and enjoyable. The group size was also just right, and everyone was incredibly kind and easy to get along with, making the experience even more fun. Overall, it was absolutely worth the price, and I would highly recommend this tour!
Thank you to Niko and Miro. They were really nice and professional, they did everything to accommodate everyone of us.
Great trip - thank you Niko. Views were amazing, well organized day
We have done the Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro day trip with Niko and both trips were amazing and would highly recommend it, please and thank you.
Niko was an excellent guide and very knowledgeable. He gave great recommendations on where to eat and where to visit. I’d definitely recommend booking a tour with him.
Niko was very knowledgable. Good itinerary - long day - take water and snacks for the journey Perast was beautiful
Montenegro is a beautiful country on its own and highly recommend planning a staycation here rather than a day trip from Crotia. If unavoidable, still take this but the reviews about passport control at the border are true. The trip itself would take a lot less time if the passport control went any quicker. Our tour guide Milko made our trip memorable with his wit and humour and ofcourse Kotor and Perast are exquisite. A small suggestion could be that the time at Perast can be increased to atleast 2-2.5 hours. If we take the boat trip to Our lady church, we might be short of time to visit the old town. In Kotor, we had ample time though!!
It was a brilliant experience. Every GOT fan should do it if they’re in Dobrovnik
We were the first pick up, so unfortunately had an hour of picking everyone else up before we headed off to Montenegro. It is a stunning country and well worth a visit. Kotor is a must see. However, we went out of season in October and it was very busy, so I imagine in peak season it’s horrendously crowded. The border crossing is a very time consuming and again, in peak season the wait would be far worse. Whilst on the coaching, the guide gave interesting facts about the places we were visiting. It is a long day, but well worth it, especially for the price.
Our driver was very good. However, he was not a guide. We basically got driven to three towns and left to explore on our own. I just felt almost $500 CND was pretty steep.
Excellent tour, guide was fantastic , knowledgable, a in depth insight to history and he and made sure everything was smoothly and ensured everyone was back on time , so there was no issue with the border and it was smooth ! it wasnt clear enough on the whats app message you need 10 euros for the Lady of the rocks and 3 for tax. It says the trip is optional but very much forced to do the trip, i didnt mind but could see other peoples perspective as it was raining and they didnt want to go on a boat , also you got to pay extra to enter the church, and on the way back from the island the shuttle kept asking for tickets which guide didnt give us. Worth the trip , i enjoyed it and would reconmend anyone doing it
AMAZING GUIDE !!!! Nico went above and beyond to make that day trip amazing! Well appreciated and great vibes! Nico we’d love to see you in Greece next time you have our card Lots of love, Your friends from Greece ❤️❤️❤️
We were challenged with very poor weather and road closures but our guide Nikolas kept the spirits high and ensured the day went smoothly. Its a great day trip with enough time to explore Kotor and Perast.
Wonderful trip. Nika, our guide was great. Interesting facts and clearly passionate about the place. All in all a fantastic trip. Would definitely recommend.
Nikolas was a great guide! He gave excellent explanations throughout the whole tour and made sure we had a great time! Highly recommend!
Nikko was fabulous!!! There was alot to juggle today … rerouting of bus due to a marathon. He explained everything.. he made sure we sll understood and was happy to answer any questions He did a great job sharing history and his knowledge along with his personal experience as well. He was amazing. Definitely a credit to the company!!
A great day visiting Kotor and Perast. Niko was a fantastic guide who provided lots of information throughout the day and kept the large group on track with humour and clear instructions on meeting points and time. Would highly recommend this tour and will be back again soon. 10 out of 10.
Nice trip, with quite lucky border times
Nikolas is a lovely guide and makes the tour more enjoyable than one might expect. I really recomand. And the tour per se is lovely obviously
Nikolas is a great guide, and we've had an amazing day trip in Montenegro
We had a fantastic day in Kotor and Perast, made all the more enjoyable by our fantastic guide Niko who entertained us and gave us lots of information on the region. He even managed to organise the weather for us !! It only rained when we were on the bus. Would highly recommend the trip.
