A fantastic trip helped enormously by an excellent and knowledgeable guide in Gabrijel. He was very familiar with the area and the history. I had some initially reservations around passport and border control delays however this was handled with ease by Gabrijel. The Kravice Waterfalls were spectacular and we spent around 3 hours in Mostar. I followed Gabrijel’s advice and had a Bosnian coffee and smokevara traditional fig cake) in the bridge tower on arrival followed by an excellent lunch on the terrace at the Urban grill restaurant.

We were staying in Dubrovnik and it was a last minute decision to book this tour. We booked through our hotels concierge who was very knowledgeable and had only good things to say about the trip. The information we received before the trip was very clear and understandable. Our pick up was at the hotel we were staying at, so perfect for us! The driver Ilija and guide Nora arrived on time in a clean and comfortable vehicle. There was one other pick up and the car was full with 7 adult guests ~ plenty of space for all of us. On our way to the Kravice Waterfalls we stopped for a coffee/comfort break which was really good when it was an early start. The falls themselves were of course beautiful! Arriving early in the morning we were able to take many unobstructed photos and walk easily. On to Mostar and we were dropped off very close to the main area and accompanied by our guide to the central area we then had free time to explore, see museums and eat! To finish the day we called at Ston to see the incredible salt pans. Again we were guided by Nora but also had some free time to explore. We arrived back at our hotel exhausted but very pleased to have experienced such a great tour. Thanks to our driver and guide for making it such an enjoyable and memorable trip.
Great small day trip. Driver was knowledgeable and insightful and upon arrival you are on your own with optional downloadable audio guide to explore. More time in Mostar would have made the trip better but overall worth the long day! Border crossing luckily went smoothly but could be a hassle according to driver.
We thoroughly enjoyed our trip. Our tour guide Anna was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions. We had an amazing time and would definitely recommend.
We had a great day with Anna, going to Mostar, Ston and the Kravice Waterfalls yesterday. The early start was worth it to beat the crowds. The tour was well planned and executed. Anna was bringing both history and her personal experience into the conversations and was very kind all along. Really made us and our parents happy.
We had a really nice & memorable tour to Kravice, Mostar & Ston with our guide Ana and driver Viktor. Even though the trip was guided we enjoyed the 2,5h free time in Mostar without traditional guided tour so that we were able to explore the city by our own. Ana gave excelllent info about the countries history & culture and we we enjoyed the views across the coastline & mountains during the ride.
We booked directly with Amico and had some questions beforehand which were answered promptly and cheerfully. We then had to change the date of our tour due to not meeting minimum numbers but this was handled well with options to change date, full refund , 10% discount on private tour or change to a different tour. We changed date and had 9 in our group on an 18! Seater van with WiFi ( important to teen as Bosnia outside of our EU phone package) & air con. All these small things made for a great experience but the main positive was Ana the tour guide who was so knowledgeable and helpful. A credit to the company. Highly recommend the small group tour although an early start it made border crossing so much easier and quicker and combined with good itinerary and Ana excellent hosting we were delighted with our trip
Gabrijel with Amico Tours was the best driver and tour guide. He was very entertaining and help throughout the entire tour. The van was comfortable and we saw all the amazing sights. We had extra time, as we were the only family on this tour and he took us to the top of Dubrovnik for a beautiful view of the city.
Our tour guide Gabriel was fantastic. Extremely informative, with vast local knowledge about the the areas we visited. Both geographical and political. Also an excellent driver on the tight coastal roads. Kate at their office in Dubrovnik was helpful and a pleasure to deal with.
Amico Tour guide, Gabriel was very friendly, enthusiastic and informative. Nice vehicle, very safe driving and we were well looked after. The out of season visit to the Kravice falls were great as there were only 6 of us there. Mostar was rather tourist orientated but still pretty with charm. Lunch was great with very nice food at the recommended Urban Grill, sitting on the terrace with view of the bridge.
We really enjoyed this tour and would highly recommend it to travelers to Dubrovnik. Our guide, Matej, was highly informative and gave fascinating insight into the complex relations and history of the Croats, Bosnians and Serbs during our trip to Bosnia and Herzegovina. Our driver, illija, was excellent and made us feel safe on our travels! Although the other stops were ok, we would have preferred skipping those and spending more time in Mostar.
I highly recommend this tour as the day was very enjoyable all round. Amico tours company were brilliant, everything was so well organised and their communication was spot on so I knew exactly what was happening. The staff were helpful and friendly and our tour guide Gabriel was so knowledgeable and good. I cannot find a negative thing to say about the trip
Absolutely loved this trip. Our driver and guide, Gabriel, was amazing and so helpful. He stopped at some lovely places along the way and was always thinking of his passengers wellbeing. Mostar is a must see city and Kravice Falls are stunning.
I thought a “small group” tour would be more comfortable than a big bus tour, but it wasn’t. I paid more for this “small group,” but it wasn’t worth it. Apparently, “small group” just means less people overall, but packed into smaller van with smaller seats and less legroom. It was like flying in economy class. The destinations were great and the guide was knowledgeable, kind, and excellent. But when you cram 17 people into a 19 passenger van with small seats and terrible legroom, there is no way to spread out and be comfortable. It was terrible. For me, the AC couldn’t cool the van enough, probably because of all the heat outside combined with all the human body heat crammed into a tight space. For such a long distance tour, the company should absolutely NOT try to fill every seat in that van. They should keep it to 10-12 on such a long trip, not 19. I would not book this tour again because of the lack of comfort during drive time.
I had a brilliant time on the tour it had a great balance on time alone versus structured tour. Customs speed was amazing thankfully this happens when in a very small group. Gabriel made sure everyone was comfortable and kept us knowledgeable about everything we needed to know on the way. He is an excellent guide and if you get him you will be delighted. Can’t wait to return to Croatia and do more tours next holiday.
We went on this trip today and had a great time. Mat filled us in on lots of local history and politics. We left very early which was definitely the right thing to do as we only waited a few minutes at customs and the waterfall was not busy (but getting busy as we left). Mostar was very interesting. We went to the mosque and ate some local food. Ston was beautiful, good point for a stop on the way back.
was just on the Kravice waterfalls and Mostar tour which was guided by the most amazing tourist guide-Matej. It was truly a once in a lifetime opportunity. Not only did Mat bring such amazing vibes and energy but his knowledge was super! Everything was breathtaking I couldn’t fault one thing. Matej truly has such a skill to be able to make everything seem natural it never felt like he was reading from a script which is what other tours have felt like. The vibes were soooo good! I would recommend this to anyone wanting to experience such beautiful scenery and to experience different culture. Once again i want to say how much of an amazing tour guide you hired he truly deserves more recognition!! He was so funny which made everyone come together and laugh when we all spoke different languages, it truly is a skill that not many people posses, Many thanks Amy :)
Great trip into Bosnia with an amazing first stop at the waterfalls, which are spectacular. Good amount of time to explore before moving onto Mostar. Enjoyed the time there, really good lunch and exploration of the old town and bridge. Final stop on the return was Ston which is a quaint old town and a great final stop. Whole tour was fantastic and well worth it.
It was a brilliant experience. Our guide was quite knowledgeable and friendly. As we started early and were small group of 7 in a van , it was easy at the border. We reached earlier too at the falls. Kravice waterfall falls is stunning. We spent an hour there. Mostar old bridge is quite busy. We walked through it but then went to other parallel bridge to get more picturesque view. Ston is beautiful town. Short stop at it for 30 mins. Overall good experience. Only thing is 7 strangers are cramped in a van so it gets too tight.
We went into the Amico office in Dubrovnik wanting to do a number of trips which in Dubrovnik for 10 days. After an informative discussion on what we were looking for and what each trip entailed, we selected the Kravice waterfalls and Mostar. A very smooth pickup from our hotel in a lovely new minibus had us heading for the Bosnia & Herzegovina border. Anna our guide explained some of the history of the country and the Ottoman influence which underpinned Mostar. We really enjoyed the Kravice Waterfalls which were stunning (we watched rather than swam ourselves) before heading to Mostar whose winding streets had a really vibrant feel. After enjoying lunch, we headed back to Croatia and onto Ston where the walls extending up into the mountain were amazing to see. We felt looked after before, during and after the trip and would strongly recommend the Amico team.
We had a brilliant day with Amico tours on our trip to Kravice, Mostar and Ston. Our tour guide Matty was informative, knowledgeable and guided us to truly get the most out of our tour. And our driver Elya made us feel safe and comfortable. Their knowledge of the roads made the border crossings as smooth as possible and we couldn’t recommend this tour enough! Thank you Amico! We will be back! Swimming at Kravice will remain one of the top experiences of our trip!
I booked the trip and arrived at the pickup location at 6:30 to be told the tour was not running that day. Very disappointed. The tour guide was kind enough to allow me to come on a tour to Montenegro instead, which was Ok, but not what I had planned or paid for. Viator gave a refund without any problems which is commendable.
A private tour with excellent driver & guide, Gabriel. We had a superb day and he went the "extra mile" to show us some lovely spots. Highly recommended!
Saw many interesting places. Really enjoyed the beautiful landscapes and waterfalls. Drive by the sea was very pretty.
Booked this day trip thru Maja at Amico tours in the Old City of Dubrovnik. We collected promptly at our pick up location by our guide Gabriel. He explained our path to Mostar and what we could expect along the way with stop off in Ston, and Kravice Falls. We were a small group of 6 and the Mercedes car was clean and comfortable. We stopped very early in Ston for early morning coffee seated along with early morning locals. The Walls of Ston are amazing other than that there was very little to see in Ston this early and out of season. Kravice Falls were beautiful and because of our early start and being out of season we had the falls all to ourselves. (I'm sure in the height of Summer it's a different location altogether) We got some good photographs and it was very peaceful. Our next stop was Mostar. Mostar is famous for its bridge and other than the bridge there is nothing much more to do or see in Mostar other than a central Mosque which we didn't enter as we heard the call for prayers so we didn't want to enter during this time as we were unsure of the protocols. We ate at a rooftop terrace overlooking the Mostar bridge it was called the Urban Grill. It's a beautiful location if you can get a good seat. We were very lucky to get a perfect seat. Other than that there was nothing to see in Mostar. It's very much a tourist trap. Full of narrow cobbled streets we stalls of trinket sellers selling Chinese made products for the most part. I commented to my fellow travellers that 3hrs in Mostar was far too long a stay. Maybe 90mins or 2hrs would've been enough. The bridge is the only attraction and photo opportunity. We returned stopping off for a bridge view and we also stopped in Ston and a family operated Oyster farm and shop which we really enjoyed trying the Local Oysters (we had 6 in total €2 to €3 each) we had a local bottle of white wine and some other refreshments totalling €40 but we'll worth it in my opinion. Gabriel took us on the scenic route through a marina outside of Dubrovnik. All in all in was a worthwhile visit. We paid about €100 each for the day trip but had seen it advertised for much less than that on Viator after we'd already booked and paid (€59) but we felt what we'd paid was acceptable. The communication from Maja was great she kept us up to date and is very friendly. Gabriel is very knowledgeable and attentive and we enjoyed his company. Our trip was out of season in late March 2025 and I'm sure in the height of Summer is a far different experience because I'm sure the queues for Kravice Falls and into Mostar are extremely long during peak season. We would highly recommend Amico travel as a reliable family run local business who give 100% attention to your needs.
Day trip to Mostar was the highlight of my vacation. I booked with Amico tours last minute due to a different operator cancelling my booking. Luckily Amico tours were able to accommodate me. The tour guide Gabriel, was exceptional. A mine of information, navigating contentious topics with respect. He made it seem like he was having a friendly chat, I think that's the beauty of small tour groups. He struck that difficult balance of being interesting, factual and not overwhelming with too much detail. He kept us on track without rushing us, very professional with an easy sense of humour. He is an asset to his company.
We took this tour on Wednesday 2nd October 2024. We had booked it the previous evening at the office in the Old Town where the lady was very helpful fully explained the trip itinerary to us. Our driver and tour guide was Gabriel, who was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable. Through the journey Gabriel gave a running commentary on points of interest and facts related to the just of the areas we visited. In Mostar we were met by a local guide who again was very friendly and knowledgeable and answered all questions she was asked. At the end of our tour, just after leaving the bus we realised that a mobile phone had been left in the seat pocket. We went straight to the Amico office where the lady contacted Gabriel, and told us she would call as soon as she had news. In no time at Gabriel called and arranged to bring the phone back to us later that evening after he had completed his work which he did. An outstanding example of customer service of the highest order.
I was recommended Amico Tours by the owner of the apartment where I stayed in Dubrovnik. Stanka in the office was very welcoming, answered all my questions and interpreted exactly what I wanted to see/visit, recommending various tours including Mostar/Kravica Falls as well as Montenegro. She even helped me pick appropriate days to travel according to the expected weather forecast. Compared to my observations & other accounts of different tour providers, I found Amico had an extra quality, from the warm, helpful personality of the staff to the quality and condition of the vehicle (notably a smaller, airconditioned 20 seater minibus rather than a huge 50+ seater coach) to the early timing in order to avoid time-consuming delays at boarder checkpoints. The historical information provided throughout was fascinating and I thoroughly enjoyed both the stops at Kravica Falls and Mostar (where a local tour guide met us for an initial half hour). Gabriel was our driver and tour guide on this trip and was wonderful, friendly, funny, professional, explained everything clearly, drove carefully and nothing was too much trouble. I also met some other lovely people on the trip (always nice as a solo traveller) and in fact cannot fault anything about the tour. I would highly recommend this service, I thought it was excellent value for money and I shall definitely be using Amico when I next return to Dubrovnik. Thanks to Gabriel for a wonderful adventure, this was genuinely one of my favourite days out during my Dubrovnik holiday, you are a credit to the Amico team!
Excellent trip. New minibus and smooth and safe driving. Good driver/guide with lots of information. This all gives you feeling about professional work. And of course beautiful views. Totally worth the money!
From the moment we were picked up to the time we were dropped off, Gabriel and Mira were the consummate guides. For the entire tour, each of them filled us with important historical and cultural aspects of Bosnia and Herzegovina having both come from these provinces. Gabriel took great care in assuring our trip was safe as our driver (and English-speaking guide). The deep knowledge Mira shared (en Espagnol) made for fascinating conversation among the guests. Our day was extremely hot (32C) but both guides made sure to remind us of sun-protection, water, and shade. If you are interested in learning a tremendous amount about this region and Mostar, this is the tour to book!
Amazing experience, it was like being in a dream , we felt so much comfortable with the agency, very recommended. And thanks Martina and Agustina for this opportunity 🙌🏼
Lovely day out, it was an early start (6.05am) but worth it to miss the traffic and the crowds at the waterfalls. The route was very scenic and the waterfalls were very pretty. We spent an hour and 15 mins here which was enough time to have a swim if you wanted or grab a drink and a snack. Mostar old town was lovely with lots of little shops selling jewellery, scarves and lots of handmade souvenirs. We had 3 hours in Mostar which began with a local guide who was very informative. We then had just over 2 hours to grab lunch and walk around the old town. The staff were excellent and very friendly. I would definitely recommend.
Gabrielle was the perfect tour guide! We had a great time and this was a very well-paced tour. First we went to the waterfalls and had more than enough time to take in the view. Then in Mostar we also had enough time to walk around and see the sights. There was also adequate time to stop for the bathroom or to get a small snack/drink on the way to and from the locations on the tour. Gabrielle told us a lot about the history of the area, and we could ask lots of questions. He was very knowledgeable and I'd definitely recommend this tour to anyone else.
We had an amazing day out to Mostar and Kravice waterfalls with our small group tour headed by Gabriel and Yelena. It’s our second tour with Amico and it was another great experience - comfy van, well planned stops, a local guide, Marko, to help provide a great overview of the town of Mostar ahead of our free time for sightseeing and a lot of storytelling along the way as Gabriel points out interesting points from both Croatia and Bosnia along the way. Highly recommend this tour! We even got a bonus stop at Pocitelj which was another very interesting site showing the Ottoman influence in Bosnia. Thank you, Gabriel and Yelena, for a great sightseeing day! We not only saw more than what we would have if we did this ourselves, we also learned a lot more about the colorful history of Bosnia & Herzegovina.
Very early morning start (to get ahead of the crowds at the border crossing). Comfortable medium size coach. Interesting, knowledgeable guide on the bus itself but the local guide at Mostar not so impressive. Overall the tour was well-organised, friendly. The journey itself was enjoyable. We would have liked a little more time at Mostar – perhaps another hour. The Kravice Waterfalls fascinating and a great photo opportunity. Mostar, as you might expect, Is a bit of a tourist trap with everything centred around the famous bridge. Still, worth the visit and at 50 Euros per person very good value.
The trip was really well planned and executed. I read a lot of reviews ahead of booking the Kravice/Mostar trip. We had about 10 on the tour. We were on a good quality air conditioned minibus. The driver and guide were two different people so both could concentrate on what they were best at. We also had a separate guide for the walking tour of Mostar. The timing with an early start minimized the wait at the border crossing. The Falls were beautiful. If you want the best lighting on the falls, we were a little to early. They face mostly East but are on a curve and need the sun to be higher to be fully lit. Because of our early October date and early in the day arrival time there weren't any crowds so we could see everything comfortably. The tour of Mostar is mostly just a few blocks walk on the small shop filled main street with the bridge in the middle. Definitely worth seeing but only there for tourist trade. Our primary guide was Darijo. He was terrific. He spoke excellent English and was very knowledgeable about the history and politics of both Dubrovnik/Croatia and Mostar/Bosnia. Best of all his delivery was filled with good humor and easy to understand despite some of the material being complicated. I would definitely recommend requesting Darijo as your guide and scheduling the trip according to his schedule if you have the freedom to do so.
We really enjoyed our day in Bosnia and Herzegovina and we fully recommend this to anyone seeking a day out while staying in Dubrovnik. We had an early start, but this was worth it to spend so much time at the waterfalls and Mostar. The waterfalls were spectacular and the lake was super refreshing to swim in. Mostar was beautiful and I loved exploring the old streets, although it was very busy. Our guide Matej answered all of our questions and his commentary was super interesting. The minibus rides were long, but they felt shorter thanks to the commentary and the regular stops.
The whole trip ran like clockwork and was really well organised. Leaving earlier and being in a small group meant that we were a lot more efficient in getting around, less waiting, and border control wasn't too long. Our tour guide Darijo was great, really interesting and friendly and we never felt rushed. The scenery en route was incredible and we loved swimming in the waterfalls. Mostar was also nice, and we had a delicious Bosnian meal at Food House. We would have loved to have learnt more about the history of Mostar on a longer walking tour, but appreciated the free time. We would really reccomend this tour, it's been the highlight of our holiday so far!
We have decided to go with Amico. We have changed the dates of the trip to make it happen. However, we have been shifted to some other company. Of course, noone informed us in advance about it. Poor coomunication and rude behavior lead to our rating of: “highly not recommending” By the way, tour with other company was good. But we are rating a tour with Amico - the tour hasn’t happened.
Tour was very well-organised and guides were brilliant - it's an early start but that meant zero issues at border control and a smooth journey all round. More time at the waterfalls and less time in Mostar would have been preferable. Despite assurances that card would be accepted in Mostar, restaurants there were extremely unwilling and in some cases outright lied about being able to pay this way (forcing you to then take out cash in KM at an exorbitant few). Euros are accepted in cash form which is useful - but only if you've brought enough cash to begin with, as you cannot take more out in Mostar. This can make three hours in the heat there quite painful. Even with the right amount of cash in advance, the city is rammed with coach tours visiting the same small street. Waterfalls were far more pleasant but arguably too short a stop (1hr vs 3hr in Mostar)! However none of that is the fault of the tour operator, who were kind, organised and incredibly knowledgeable, with a comfortably air conditioned minibus throughout. Would recommend Amico Tours to anyone.
Very good trip! Everything worked Well and according to itinerary! Guide was professional and the minivan and A/C was working.
We had a great trip to Moster with this tour. Our guide, Darijo, was amazing - he couldn’t be more helpful and his history knowledge is second to none. I understand this tour leaves earlier than others to reduce the waiting times at borders and we found this to be true in our experience - a very smooth trip with minimal waiting around and a good amount of time in each stop. I’d really recommend it.
The tour company is excellent. However, the trip is not worth the time. Darjiowas a fantastic guide with so much historical knowledge. Mostar is underwhelming, crowded and just a tourist trap. I hate to leave a three star review for a great company, but I don’t want to encourage people to waste their time on Mostar. It would be better to spend your time in a nearby coastal town with history.
Amazing travel tour company highly recommended..our tour guide was Mattie a nice chap. They are the true friendliest travel tour.
The trip is good, the guides are excellent, you will learn a lot of information and historical facts. It is a slightly different Europe, by the way, this complex county, which consists of three nations, is preparing to join to EU.
Fascinating trip into Herzegovina. Beautiful swim at waterfalls and fascinating wander around the bazaar in Mostar. Saw jumper of the old Bridge, ate traditional Bosnian food. Souvenirs much more affordable than Croatia prices. Delays at the border. Well run trip and a good informative guide.
Fantastic trip, Kravice falls is beautiful and a lovely place to swim. Mostar is a fascinating old town, where you can eat wonderful food, watch the divers dive from the bridge and shop in the bazaars. Thing I most loved about Amico tours are the guides who tell you so much about the local area.
The whole experience was memorable from pick up to drop off. Darijo was full of historic facts and made the journey go quickly. He looked after you on your stops and made sure you had a day to remember. Thank you Darijo and your driver for everything!
This was our second tour with Amico, and it was just as great as the Montenegro tour. Our brilliant guide, Gabriel, was hugely informative - both on the logistics for the tour and the history and geography of the region. Our group was only 5 people, so we felt very well looked after. The early start is completely worth it to get through the border quickly, and we beat the crowds to Kravice waterfalls which are even more impressive in person. We had our swimming gear but chose to only paddle as the water was very cold. After the waterfalls, we drove on to Mostar. The tour of the city by the local guide helped to orient us and give us the background of the city. Mostar is bigger than Kotor, so you easily spend much more than the 3 hours there that we had - but leaving mid afternoon meant that we had a very quick border crossing, so worth it. We stopped at a beautiful viewpoint on the way back. Excellent service from start to finish.
Fab tour with Amico tours, the guide and driver were so friendly it made us feel at ease and enjoy the whole day. The guide also gave lots of information and historical facts on the drive. The places we visited were stunning, would definitely return to the waterfalls. Overall great trip, would 100% book with this company again!
