This tour was excellent. Our tour guide, Paulina, was outstanding. She was very knowledgeable, maintained a perfect pace, and made sure everyone in the group was OK the entire time. it was a very hot day but she took the time to let us stay hydrated. She walked us through the city first, and then took us up on the walls. We absolutely loved every minute of this tour, and Paulina made it the ideal experience. We know you can walk the walls by yourself but why would you when you can learn from an experienced, knowledgeable local who also shares so many interesting personal stories? Would highly recommend this tour if you want to learn all about Dubrovnik!!

Our guide was passionate about our experience. His insights to growing up in the city made the experience much more impactful.
Excellent tour of Old Dubrovnik and the city walls. A must do when in town. Best excursion of our entire cruise!
It is really hot and crowded but our guide did a wonderful job of finding shady places to stand while she explained the history of the area
Very enjoyable experience! Learned a great deal about Old Town! Worth the money to have a guy walk us around! A lot of walking for little kids (4 year old), but manageable!
Guide was excellent! His knowledge of the city, current and old was most informative. He was patient and caring of the 2 slow oldies. Thank you.
The city is incredible. I was blessed with great weather. Most importantly, the day I walked the city wall and went to the Fortress, both were practically empty. It was so great to have no other tourists. I am not exaggerating - for 50% of the wall, it was just me and one other person. We kept passing one another. At the Fortress, I was the only tourist there. Magnificent solitude. I hiked Mt. Srd. I stayed outside the Old City. My air b and b host was fantastic. I had a private patio, with a view of the port. I was near the Buza Gate. I went to the Modern Art Museum. In talking with a staff person, she was very nice, I was invited to a special exhibit opening. It was a kindness I won't forget. I took a boat ride around Lokrum Island - 15e for 50 mins. It was a family business. I walked miles and miles. Also had the BEST hamburger in my life. I had a wonderful experience. I would recommend off season travel to Dubrovnik anytime. I bought the Dubrovnik Pass. I recommend doing so. One important consideration - stairs EVERYWHERE. If you have any mobility issues, please do your research. I have never been anywhere like it. Stairs - everywhere. All in all - an amazing trip.
Kate was a friendly and informative guide with extensive knowledge of Dubrovnik being a local. Really enjoyed the tour and would recommend.
Absolutely amazing tour guide Brono, he loves his history and his country. He was extremely thorough and we walked and talked for 3 full hours showed us the entire wall, Museum, the town, all the best photo ops spots, great restaurant suggestions and cool historical spots. Also showed us the GOT stuff I'm not a fan of the show but we went to almost all of the shows sites.
A very knowledgeable and friendly guide. Tour was well organised. The wall walk is quite demanding but our guide advised us which was the easiest entrance.
I chose this tour specifically to walk the walls with a guide and that did not happen. We were given tickets for the walls and expected to go on our own AFTER the 3 hour tour. We did not have time in our day for that and broke off as soon as we confirmed this with the guide. The description specifically said the last 1.5 hours would be walking the walls. In addition the audio was difficult to hear--partly quality and partly our guides heavy accent. Can not recommend for anyone who is expecting to walk the walls.
Elvis was an excellent tour guide. He spoke with confidence and clarity and we learned much about the history of Dubrovnik. His knowledge of the city was incredible!
Elvis was friendly, knowledgeable and happy to answer all questions. We were introduced to local customs and local activities like the pigeon feeding. He also gave us some great tips for eating and drinking where the locals enjoy rather than the tourist prices. Great advice. Thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Elvis.
Sara was great! She is super knowledgeable and sweet. She lets the groups’ interests guide some of the tour and is great about stopping for pictures and breaks. We walked through all of the old town in Dubrovnik and learned a lot of information about the culture and history in Dubrovnik. Sara also gave great recommendations for things to do in Dubrovnik and around Croatia. We even passed through a local market and I was able to buy (and sampling) some homemade, local treats. After going through the old town, we went up onto the walls around the city and the view is stunning! Great opportunity for photos and just breathtaking views.
I did not appreciated the tour for 2 reasons: - the audio system was poor quality, sound with background noisy, bearly we heard. - the guide was flowing information continuously which make the follow-up difficult.
I really enjoyed this wonderful walking tour, Natasha was a great guide with so many interesting facts about the city, seeing the city walls was also a highlight of my trip, well worth it.
Great experience around Old Town and the City walls. Super guide who brought the historical perspective to light with great detail and humour
A tour of old town and the City Walls is an absolute must! Our tour guide Katarina was very passionate, knowledgeable and proud of her Hometown and Country. She also took photos of my dad and I in the most scenic spots. Katarina was also a great reference for both popular/tourist and local hot spots.
We had a wonderful experience on this tour. Our tour guide, Sarah was very informative and patient with my “older” parents! Fascinating place!!
While our guide was awesome, the tour was not as engaging as we would have hoped. The meeting place is a bit tricky, in that there is a shop by the same name that is on one side of the fountain, and the restaurant of the same name on the other- and about 20 other tours are meeting there at the same time. I do blame one really rude couple for delaying our tour starting, and we think that cut some of the detail out of the tour, as we waited 45 mins for them, and they then ditched the tour almost immediately- with her voice box thingies- after arguing with her that they couldn’t find us. Totally their fault and they made no effort, and the company bent over backwards to assist- (way more than any company in the States would have) and they then bailed. But… I do suggest taking the group into some of the churches rather than standing outside and talking about them. We used our wall tickets the next morning as soon as it opened, which was great, as it would have been too hot at the end of the walking tour.
Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and had good pacing throughout the tour. Also happily answered any questions we had. Would definitely recommend.
The entire tour was amazing. Our tour guide was super knowledgeable and educated and it was great to see the entire city. She went above and beyond though with me and what would be a private solo tour of the walls. I only wish I had more on me to tip her, please let her know that.
Walls are amazing! You can see breathing views of Dubrovnik. I strongly recommend to take some water, and avoid the tour in the middle of the day.
The walled city of Dubrovnik is a wonder, with a rich history and many opportunities for walking. Our guide was a lovely person but it is important to know that this is a 'standing' tour not a walking tour. The first 45 minutes of the tour, we stood in one place while the guide gave us a lengthy history of the city. We walked for a very short time, then stood again. Although the guide was extremely knowledgeable, standing for the greater portion of two hours, at times in the hot sun, was grueling. If you want to walk, I suggest you take another tour.
Meeting Elvis.....he was superb guiding us round the walls and old town. We would highly recommend the tour with him. There was on my wife and I and two other people on the walk...it felt like we had our own private tour which we did for the second half as the other two left half way through. Fabulous trip, well worth it
One of the highlights! A must-do while in Dubrovnik. Tour guide was on time and knowledgeable and she was able to customize our tour. The views and history are amazing!
I really enjoyed this walking tour. Nora had so much knowledge about the history of the region and the buildings we saw. She answered all my questions and had some great recommendations about things to do after the tour. Highly recommended!
Great insight of Dubrovnik history. I enjoy the walk with Miro. Very entertaining and loads of information as if I was throw back in time.
I did this walls tour twice now. This year and 13 years ago and this is by far the best city walls tour. I addition this is the best tourist attraction in croatia. The price is a bit much 20 euro but worth it. tecommended to all.
Superb excursion. I couldn’t have wished for a more knowledgeable, accommodating and personable guide. Danijela was the perfect accompaniment - a history expert who also knew where all the Game of Thrones scenes were shot. I highly recommend this tour!
visit to Dubrovnik is a must and the city walls are not to be missed . You don't need to take the tour to enjoy . It is very warm and a lot of walking but you might only get one chance to do this
Our tour was set to start at 10. We got to the meeting spot a little early. It was a chaotic mess because about 10 other tours were also gathering at the same spot. As they all began to leave, my husband and I had no guide. I called the company and they assured me that one was coming. I found a guide from the same company and they called the company and they were also told we had a guide coming. Finally a young guy (we were told a woman was coming) showed up. He was a guide in training and was sent to get us to take us to our actual guide (who was with another group). He was sweet and knowledgeable. We joined the existing group for the walk on the old city walls. As it ended, the rest of the group went their own way and my husband and I had two tour guides. They were very engaging, friendly, and interesting. So, it ended on a great note!
We started our walk near the Pile Gate - 87 steps (I counted!) to get to the top of the walls - and then a lot more steps up and down during the whole circuit of the City. During our time there (Spring) there were not too many people there but I can imagine high Summer might be rather different! The circuit is signposted as one way. We took about 3 hours to complete our circuit, taking our time to make the most of the sea and city views - and looking at the restoration due to damage caused during the Homeland War. There are a few refreshment stalls, but it is advisable to take some water if the weather is warm.

excellent tour, enjoyed every bit of it. saw things i would not have found on my own.

Went with friends in october.Great tour. Great views of the city and sea. The place needs around 30 to 1hour to complete the wall circle.

We did not have a good tour guide on this tour unfortunately. Ivana could have done a better job as there were only 3 of us in this tour. I thought small is good but it did not turn out that way. She was not too enthusiastic and there was not much been shared about the history of Dubrovnik. She was nice but lacks the passionate and content!

This was by far one of the best Viator tours that we've taken, worth every penny! Hama, our guide, provided us with an overview of Dubrovinik's history by sharing personal experiences. He took us to parts of the city that a normal tourist wouldn't experience. We went to 5 different locations for wine, antipasto, main course , desserts, and ending up in a cave wine bar. The food was amazing. We went back the next night to eat at one of the restaurants again. If you are a foodie, DONT miss this tour!

Excellent communications from Viator re meeting point. Tour Guide exceptional and very passionate about the history of the area - the tour of Dubrovnik very interesting plus very busy! on the Tour of the Walls with the same guide it was a very small group and we received a very interesting and informative tour which was way beyond what we expected - the guide did not rush us - in fact went over and beyond by allowing us time to have a coffee on the city walls which was lovely I would certainly recommend this trip to make the most of the Dubrovnik experience.

This was a really enjoyable and informative tour. The guide Nerena was very straightforward about even the painful aspects of the war. The walls are beautiful and so well maintained. In spite of the crowds I highly recommend this tour. A real plus was that each person had a small receiver to wear with 1 earplug. Therefore we didn't have to struggle to hear what our guide was saying.

we found this trip to be very superficial. AFter being told the history of Dubrovnik for the first 10 minutes in a side alley, we proceeded into the old city. WE were shown from the outside some of the cathedrals, government buildings etc but were never taken into the buildings to see or learn more about them. We were told we could do that on our own. . When we walked the old walls there was no commentary. IT was a total waste of time and money we did not need to follow someone around the walls. We have been on many city walking tours and usually there is too much information to digest. This was quite the opposite and very disappointing.

Knowledgeable tour operative, v friendly and a lovely city. We took tour guides advised and walked the walls later in the day as it was raining in the morning and could possibly of been slippery.

Great guided tour . The guide was exceptional , gave us lots of insights into the history of Dubrovnik both old and recent. Only request is that Elite tours schedule the walk on the walls earlier in the day to avoid midday heat..

Informative and enjoyable. Make sure you wear comfortable shoes and that you're protected from the sun as up on the walls it's impossible to find shade. The tour was good value for money. Our tour guide Lydia was interesting and spoke excellent english. The back streets were fascinating and the views from the walls are amazing. A great tour of the city, we were certainly ready to relax when it finished.

Well worth the money. Guide very informative. Would recommend this tour

Our guide was excellent. Friendly, considerate, very knowledgeable and an excellent sense of humour!

Dubrovnik is a very nice interesting old town and worth seeing. Too expensive, unfortunately. If you want to go to the city walls€40.- and the city pass another €40.- per person.that is out of proportion. The tour is absolutely overrated.
Natalia est une guide au top : passionnante, chaleureuse et qui sait s'ajuster selon les centres d'intérêt des visiteurs, avec aussi de chouettes conseils pour découvrir la cuisine locale ! Un grand merci :)
