The panoramic drive with small group was quite good, and our driver was friendly and informative - beyond just pointing out the sights. The walking tour with a different guide was less a sightseeing tour and more of a historical class. Very friendly, knowledgeable guide, but as it started to rain heavily, we cut it short.

It was such a pleasure meeting, Gordana what a pleasant and nice person. She is very knowledgeable. She was very patient took her time and explained everything to us. She didn’t go very fast and I’m thankful for that because I was wearing a brace at the time because I just torn my meniscus three days before my vacation would that being said I actually made it through it all had a wonderful time and I couldn’t have asked for a better tour guide. We are planning our next trip soon. Not sure where it’s gonna be but if it’s ever gonna be there I will make sure I ask for her again and I’m also letting all of my friends know where I went and what Guide I had thank you so very much for giving us the opportunity to meet her and learning all the information that she had to give us very nice person she even refused a tip. I had to chase her down and keep offering it to her. I think she worked for it and deserved every cent and I think everyone should always thank you so much Gordana for such a pleasant and wonderful day. the sun was out and shining and you were shining so brightly. From the Hayes family.
Great tour of Old Town and Panoramic drive! Loads of picturesque photo ops and well told stories of Dubrovnik! Both our local tour guide and driver Dennis were well versed on the rich history of the area.
Dennis was a great guide. He was very knowledgeable about the area and was patient with all our questions. We got a real feel for the area and thoroughly enjoyed our day with him!
Good introduction to Dubrovnik, Easy walking. The panorama is a good way to see the city and harbor from a distance and take photos.
Hrvoje was good tour guide replacing his wife Kristian was great driver too
Excellent value for the tour ! Fantastic information and stops!Dennis was the best!Ship drop off was a nice perk!
Dennis was a great guide!!! Lots of amazing views. Very informative and learned all the history of Dubrovnik. Must do tour!!
Nice tour, but you should tell the guider that where are you going back and let the driver be aware to stop close to port
Our driver Dennis was very informative and chatty, he drove us around for approx 90 minutes and then dropped us off in the square outside the main gates where we met our second guide for the walking tour. Again this was a very relaxed and informative tour which we all enjoyed
The tour guide is very knowledgeable and helpful in ensuring we get the best value from the tour. They suggested delaying the second half of the tour to ensure we get to see the sunset. While observing the beautuful sunset, the tour guide served us white wine that he prepared. The sunset was one of the best i have seen. The guide knew where to bring us to get a spectacular sunset panaorama view. Super memorable. Thank you!!!
This was a great overview of the area! From panoramic views to an interesting walk through the old city, we got a peek of lots of different places.
Horizon Tours were great! I needed to change my tour time and it was no problem. Also, I wanted to change the pick up spot from the ship port to Old Town. They were very responsive to my email and told me exactly where to meet. Dennis and Neco were great for the Panorama Drive. We timed it perfectly for sunset at the top of the city! Our walking tour guide was also very good, I just can’t remember her name.
It was great! I great mixture of scenery and information! I would recommend this excursion to anyone.
Informative and entertaining. Dennis made history fun.
Well rounded experience through this tour of Dubrovnik and surrounding area. Both our walking guide and driver guide were comprehensive in their knowledge sharing and warmth of personality.
Denis & Isis did a SUPERB job give tours! Extremely informative from beginning to end! Can’t give it enough stars!!! Would LOVE to do this tour over and over again!!!
Dennis was EXCEPTIONAL!!! Top notch from beginning to end. Made sure we got to key spots with extremes history detail. LOVED every moment!!! Would love to do it again!!!
Our tour started at the cruise port. Anybody worrying about not finding the meeting point can stop worrying. It was easy - the rep there to meet us. We had a good panorama tour with great views over the city and cruise port. About 75 minutes free time at the entrance to the city - great for an early lunch. Note the meeting point is extremely busy with tour buses, but the fountain is easy to find. Our walking tour guide was absolutely superb - sorry i cannot remember her name. She was funny, fun and full of facts and information. I would recommend this tour guide anytime. The pick up back to the port was a bit chaotic - not the fault of horizon - just traffic and lots of people. Horizon did is proud. Thank you
The actual tour location was very good. The problem was the guide. She obviously is incredibly knowledgeable but she needs to learn how to be a tour guide. She had a very heavy accent, and spoke very fast. Spent way too much time on specific history like it was a history lesson instead of just the highlights. I could see many people losing interest because she just kept overwhelming people with more information and wouldn’t stop talking. Almost felt like she loved to hear her own voice! Also, The walled area of Dubrovnik was very busy with a tonne of people and our tour had about 23 of us. The guide needs to be aware that when you are leading people who don’t know each other through a crowd, you need to be able to tell them clear directions on where we will meet when we stop moving. For example, tell people that when you go down to the bottom of the stairs turn right and I will meet you there holding the green flag. That way we can all convene and move on to the next location without losing people. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case. So 6 of us on the tour continued to walk forward, not knowing that she had stopped. We couldn’t find her or hear her through the audio, or see her holding the green flag. Many times the green flag wasn’t raised so it was difficult to locate her while moving through the crowd. One lady called the main office while we were on the tour to try and find the tour guide so we could meet up. Apparently, she had her phone on silent. When we finally did find her, she took no responsibility for losing us. She kept saying it was impossible to lose us. Kept shaking her head and made us feel like it was all our fault. She obviously doesn’t understand how to run a tour or has any customer service sense. If she was to do the tour again, I would definitely cancel. It’s really too bad because it could have been so good!
Beautiful scenery. The driver drove us to the highest point so we could view the city from above. The walking tour of old town was very informative including locations used in Game of Thrones. Our tour guide made extra arrangements so we would not have to wait until later to take the transfer back to our ship.
The panoramic tour was terrific, even though it was the only cloudy/rainy day for months. lol. The tour guide on the drive was knowledgeable and experienced. We enjoyed the panoramic drive. However, the walking tour was the highlight. Our guide was outstanding. She was knowledgeable for sure but really made us feel like a local was “showing us around”. She gave us historical information but also connected it to present day. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ would highly recommend for a first visit. If you have been there before spend your time exploring on your own; can’t wait to get back.
Our driver Niko was excellent! So knowledgable and passionate about the history of the area. It was terrific because we had about 90 minutes of van shuttle then an hour to relax followed by 90 minutes of walking tour. The walking tour guide that day was fantastic! She had grown up in the old town and told us so much of the history and challenges of living there. Superb tour!
We had an amazing time with Dennis as our driver. He was friendly, informative, entertaining and funny. We were a group of 6 and we all really enjoyed our time with him. I would definitely recommend this tour for anyone wanting to see a large part of Dubrovnik, including Old Town!
Driver/Nico was very friendly With a wealth of knowledge! We thoroughly enjoyed this day. Our walking tour guide ? Name also was great. Would Highly recommend this tour
Enjoyed tour 0f 0ld town. Very good guide but not enough free time to eat and drink before panorama tour after. This was another good tour with Dennis as our guide.
The panoramic Drive and the city walking tour were a perfect combination… highly recommend! Our driver Dennis had lots of facts and information that made the drive very interesting
Very good tour, guide was very informative and friendly, there was so much history on Dubrovnik that doing it by yourself is simply harder. We loved it
Even in September it's VERY crowded and extremely busy. Difficult to stay together as a group - our guide did a good job of trying to keep us organized - yet we still managed to lose some people. Thankfully it ended up well and nothing was missed.
A good experience overall. The tour was very comprehensive, covering both the panoramic view and a visit to the walled city.
This is a popular & crowded city to visit. Our walking guide was good but focused a lot on the war and not other parts of history or what the buildings were. She did walk at a good pace. Our driver for the view part was amazing. He took pictures of us, told us stories of the area, and drove very well on some tight roads. Overall very worthwhile excursion!
We really enjoyed our Dubrovnik tour. The guides were friendly, knowledgeable and did a great job dealing with a very hectic day and unusually heavy traffic. I also really appreciated the communication beforehand. They reached out through WhatsApp and sent clear instructions, photos and details showing exactly where the pickup spot was. That made everything much easier and took away a lot of the stress of trying to find the meeting point in an unfamiliar place. A special shout-out to Mirela, Chris and Kiril for helping make the day such a positive experience. Overall, we were very pleased with the tour and would definitely recommend it.
Dubrovnik is very unique but ultra crowded. Too many cruise ships, too many people trying to see the place at one time which limits the value of the experience.
The first issue we had was confusion about the meeting place. We were given an address outside the large cruise port terminal. The problem was we were on a smaller ship that docked at the old port which was very near to the location where everyone met. It was not until we had almost taken a taxi to the other cruise port that it was clarified we were meeting a 5 minute walk from our cruise ship. The guide was late which added to the stress as to whether we were in the right location. The tour started late with the guide giving a history lesson in front of old town for 20 minutes. We finally walked into old town and she pointed out a few buildings that had been damaged in the war, buildings being restored and cathedrals and other buildings we were told we could tour on our own. The guide’s tour of Old Town lasted maybe 45 minutes and then we had 45 minutes on our own. My husband and I were then separated from our original group and put on a separate van for the panoramic tour. We were told the van with our group would not hold everyone. The new van first picked up people from the cruise port which was the farthest from us. The 6 new people were not English speaking. Consequently, the Panaramic tour was mostly conducted in Russian, which we did not understand. This was one of the worst tours we have booked with Viator, which was disappointing since we have used Viator many times all over the world. I would not recommend it.
Great short tour introduction to Dubrovnik highlights. Our guide was informative, knew her history and explained Dubrovnik so nicely. Our driver took us on a beautiful sunset drive through the city. It was a great first step to a memorable trip!
Nico was amazing very knowledgeable, energetic, friendly. He even stop local store. We highly recommend him.
Fantastic Excursion. Views incredible. Mico was very knowledgeable and full of facts. He had no problem taking pictures for us. Highly recommended. If you wanted extra time in Old Town they let you choose a later time to go back if you wanted to spend more time there.
Niko and Ines were excellent tour guides. They gave us so much information about Dubrovnik and the rich history. We loved the small group and air conditioned van. Highly recommend for everyone!
amazing sites very informative. great guides.. hidden gems. will be back thank you for great day and ventures
Started great. The Panarama part of the tour was insightful and views were gorgeous. Tour guide was great. The walking tour was a different story. Completely lackluster and dull. I was so anxious for it to be over, that I left with ten minutes to go.
I'm sure those that made it to the tour enjoyed it. But we didn't make it to shore in time due to rough seas and that held up the tender departs. The company did wait for an extra hour , which was very nice of them
The driving part was the best. Dennis was great & he showed us the absolute best view of the city & gave us a Polaroid picture as a keepsake. The walking tour wasn't great. Gordana was extremely nice but the tour was boring. I also think the walking should have been first bc of the heat & crowds. Next time I would probably just do the driving tour.
Happened to be hot and crowded but the guides were great and informative with excellent English Best way to experience the city and surrounding area.
Both our travel guides Ines for walking tour and Nico for panoramic tour were both excellent and knowledgeable. We enjoyed this excursion!!
Nico our tour guide was Very Informative
The meeting point just outside the cruise liner quay was seamless. I received a message the evening before with clear instructions and all the details I needed, so finding the meeting point was absolutely hassle-free. Our guide, Gordana, was already there waiting for us with the tour operator’s placard, so there was no confusion whatsoever. She was very welcoming and made us feel comfortable right from the start. We began with a sightseeing drive on the hills around the walled city of Dubrovnik. Along the way, our driver provided us with interesting and relevant information about the city and its surroundings. We also had some wonderful views overlooking Dubrovnik, which was a great way to start the tour. We were then driven back to one of the main entrances to Dubrovnik, where Gordana joined us again and continued with the guided walking tour of the city. She was very knowledgeable and provided us with interesting insights into Dubrovnik’s history and attractions. Overall, the tour was very well organised from beginning to end, with excellent communication and a knowledgeable and friendly guide. A great way to discover Dubrovnik, especially if you are visiting as part of a cruise.
Wonderful tour .. tour guide amazing very knowledgeable knew shortcuts to take to keep people cool.. gave the ref to GOT
Excellent! Our driver was Christian and he was fabulous.
Every part of this tour was handled very professionally. The tour guides were very informative. Nico and Innis were our guides.
Great tour and good value, especially compared to cruise ship excursions. We were only booked for 4 hours, but spent 6 hours touring (thanks to bad traffic around the old town).
