Itinerary
Travelers will see the impressive seaside face of Dubrovnik’s City Walls, including fortresses, towers, and cliffs rising directly from the sea. This unique view from the boat shows parts of the walls that are not visible from land, offering a new perspective and amazing photo opportunities.
Admire Fort Lovrijenac from the sea — perched high on a cliff above the waves, this iconic fortress offers dramatic views and a glimpse into Dubrovnik’s defenses. Game of Thrones fans will recognize it as the Red Keep.
During the cruise, travelers will pass by Lokrum Island, a lush green oasis just off Dubrovnik’s coast. From the boat, they’ll enjoy views of the rocky shoreline, pine forests, and historical buildings like the old monastery.
Admire St. Jacob Beach from the sea, with its clear Adriatic waters, pebbled shore, and the historic monastery rising above the beach. Seen from the boat, the peaceful setting offers a beautiful coastal view with Dubrovnik’s Old Town in the distance.
See Banje Beach from the water, just outside Dubrovnik’s Old Town. With its clear Adriatic waters, lively atmosphere, and spectacular view of the city walls and island of Lokrum, it’s one of Dubrovnik’s most recognizable beaches. As the tour continues along Dubrovnik’s eastern coastline, enjoy the beach from a different perspective, with the city walls and Lokrum creating a striking backdrop.
Towards the end of the tour, cruise past Lazareti, the historic quarantine complex on the eastern approach to Dubrovnik’s Old Town. Built to protect the city from the spread of disease, Lazareti reflect Dubrovnik’s early role in developing organized quarantine measures. Watch the historic complex unfold along the shoreline, with the Old Town rising behind it, as you make your way back to the port.

We did this as a sunset tour. It was spectacular. It would be better if the guide talked and pointed out things, but it was still a great experience. There are several operators offering this sunset tour.
Tour operator is very flexible with scheduled time. We changed our time twice with no problem. Beautiful scenery. There us no commentary by the boat captain. Just sit back and enjoy the sights.
We had a lovely trip round the old walls and island. We were in a glass bottom boat and there was only 6 of us. We did have a bit if trouble finding the desk to let them know we were there as there are so many but once found the lady was very good, sat us in the shade and once the boat was in off we went. Thank you
It was very pleasant. There’s no guy just to drive on the boat, but we really enjoyed seeing the coastline.
While there was a cruise, it did not follow the path outlined on the diagram. Also, the captain did not say one single word...didn't point out any key sights, history, zip. So this is fun to be on the Adriatic, but if you are expecting a "tour", it's not.
We had no commentary from the boat operator, hence no real idea of what we were looking at. He spent his time smoking and eating chocolate. The tour itself was good but it would have been better if we were told what we were looking at on the islands and some history of the walls.
Pleasant boat journey from the old town harbour, towards the fort and then around Lokrum island and back. Only 45mins and not really a tour, the skipper didn’t talk to us but the ride was pleasant and I think for €15 it was excellent. PS small boat feels the waves so not for people who suffer with seasickness!
Was a nice ride around in the boat. Very interesting and lots of different things to see, worth the money
Good value, boat driver didn’t narrate, but we talked to others on the boat. Boat smaller than expected, water very choppy.
We were 15 minutes before our departure time at the meeting point. They told us to come back in 10 minutes, which we did. The captain on the boat didn’t count the people and left without us. Worst organization ever.
The driver of the boat was on his phone the whole time and narrowly avoided hitting another boat. We and another family had to shout to him so he noticed.
The boat tour was ok, very confusing which tour was ours near the meeting point. No interaction whatsoever from the skipper, a bit of a commentary would have been nice or even just an acknowledgement as we got on board would help.
Short boat ride round Loki island and city walls. Very enjoyable. Good communication and helpful staff at the meeting point.
The views are lovely but it was an old rusty boat and skipper just sat there and smoked cigarettes whilst going around. Not even a hello! The views are lovely but I would recommend to try other company. Don’t expect any comentary etc.
This was a cool ride. They showed the walls around the town and at an island. They showed us a naked old man, took turns smoking on the front of the boat, and were both very quiet. Even though it WAS a tour they didn’t say they were gonna speak 🤷♀️. I found it fun and cool to check out the scenery!
It was a boat ride that we could have booked at the pier for 15 Euros each rather than the 17 we paid. There was no English speaking guide, just a driver. His friend came on board and stood smoking cigarettes in front of our party, blocking our view and covering us with cigarette smoke. The boat is old and stunk of engine exhaust. There was no safety instruction, or visible life vests. There were full containers of gasoline in view under the open bow. Overall very unprofessional operation, lacking in basic safety.
Really enjoyed the trip around the bay ,lovely to see the city from a different angle 😀
This was a last minute booking but perfect for a short sailing out on the water. The trip took us along the coast to the north initially giving good views of the city walls. Then it turned back out to sea a little and around Lokrum island. Great opportunities all along for photos. The driver didn't give any kind of verbal tour but it was only £15/per. All in all recommended for a short boat trip, especially in the sunshine 😎
The tour did what it told it would do 45 minutes around this island with view of Dubrovnik. The captain did not said a word or explained anything. Mute
It was a nice boat ride but no interaction with the driver.
It was pretty. A little rough but very beautiful views. Wish there was someone who could talk about sights.
Horrific. This tour should have never been offered. I booked it the morning of the tour the waves so so ferocious. We got sick. Had to turn around after 20 minutes. The boat had to travel sideways due to the waves. Awful.
The booth to check in was well described and operators were nice. The boat ride was enjoyable and loved seeing the city that way, but there was no information on what we saw given to us.
A grand way to see the the out side of the city walls in Dubrovnik and sail around Lokrum Island. A nice way to spend a few hours relaxing
Beautiful views but no narration of any type. Even a little explanation upon what we were seeing would have been amazing.
The coastline of Dubrovnik is absolutely beautiful and to experience it from the sea is a wonderful way view it. There was no commentary throughout the trip which suited us fine but for others expecting something different you could end up feeling disappointed. The boat is small, there were less than 10 of us on board. Fairly old and very basic but clean. The sea was very choppy (which I believe is pretty normal in Dubrovnik) so I was quite anxious. My anxiety wasn’t helped by the young skipper who spent 90% of his time either on his phone, routing around for something or staring at the floor. I get it might be repetitive doing the same loop all day but it was highly unprofessional and left me feeling quite unsafe! That being said the actual route was good. We went out to sea to view the coastline, near to Lukram Island and into a cave. The desk was with the others as stated in the instructions but there was no sign with the company name. The lady on the desk was helpful. She showed us to the boat a few minutes before departure.
We enjoyed this lots. We had alot of fun and was a pleasant dayand experience. We asked to attend rhe earlier session as we arrived earlier
The morning I went to the port to join the tour, there was no one to pick us up. There was another tour guide with a similar program at the port, and she called my tour group (that I booked with Tripadvisor) to confirm they are not operating that day. So I cancelled my reservation right away, and received a refund, but my promotional fund of $30 that I had was gone.
The cruise was cancelled as we get to the harbour reason being due to weather conditions but we there were a few similar boats at the harbour offering the same cruise which we then have to book with a different boat.
Our 45 minute boat trip on 14th November was brilliant! Our captain gave us a running commentary, hidden extra as he took us into the caves and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Good value for money.
This is just a boat ride, not a tour, but we still enjoyed being able to get our on the water and get a quick view of the city from that perspective. Definitely recommend if you just want to get out for a ride.
We went on the Sunset cruise and our driver was really nice and informative. The scenery was so Beautiful and we couldn't have had a better Sunset.
This is a boat ride only. There is no information or narrative about what you are seeing. There is nothing to see in the glass bottom of the boat so don’t let that be the reason you choose this boat.
Waste of time & money. Worthless expense - worthless tour- lousy guide. Inaccurate description of tour on website. Poor guide. You can totally do this on your own and do a better job.
What a fabulous way to see Dubrovnik and Lokrum. The passengers were all super fun. The glass bottom boat was a plus. The gal working shoreside does a good job!
This trip suited us well. We are elderly and so didn’t want snorkeling, kayaking or time to swim. This was a 45 minute ride around the bay. The Captain didn’t speak, which was disappointing, but presumably he was chosen for his sailing skills instead,
This tour operator uses small boats that are dirty and the boat driver did not speak the entire time. Some passengers smoked cigarettes with no regard for others. I would have chosen a different boat if I had known.
One of the best things I did whilst visiting the old town. I took the 4pm cruise. The boat takes you along the wall to the West Harbour before heading over to Lokrum and touring the whole island, going into Teos Cave, before heading back to the harbour along the coastline passing Betina Cave. Having visited Lokrum the day before it was nice to see it from the sea. Also to see the houses along the coastline. There was no commentary on this trip which was fine for me. Just 45 minutes of bobbing around on the sea in a boat. Such good value for money.
A comfortable tour of the city walls and nearby islands, in a glass bottomed boat. Also saw some caves and beaches Recommended
Darvo was very insightful with all the information he shared during our tour! His love for Dubrovnik shines through! Easiest way to see the city in a short period but absolutely love every single second!
Lovely little cruise. On time-gorgeous views and helpful explanations from the guide. We had a lovely time and it was great value for money.
Very nice people, very affordable and a Very nice trip. The sailor was good Would recommend!! Thank you!
Fantastic trip, lasts 45 minutes. Went into the small bays. The Captain was very skilled and made us feel safe. Our children aged 14, loved the whole experience. As a family we would do it again tomorrow. 5 stars.
Great value trip around the port, the driver stopped off at the caves so we could take photos. Well worth €15!
We took the 45-minute boat tour around Dubrovnik’s Old Town walls and Lokrum, and it was a great experience from start to finish. When we arrived at the port just outside the Old Town (Stari Grad), there were a few tour counters around, but ours was easy to find — just on the left side of the Stradun, past the clock tower. The staff at the counter and our guide were friendly, helpful, and made the check-in process easy and stress-free. It’s a good idea to arrive a little early just to get checked in and make sure everything’s in order. Once it was time, we boarded the boat and headed off for a relaxing ride around the Old Town walls, which were stunning to see from the water. After circling the city, we made our way around Lokrum Island. I especially enjoyed this part, as it brought back memories of visiting the island when I was younger — I used to love jumping off the cliffs there. The tour even took us into a small cave on the far side of the island, which was a nice surprise and added a little extra to the experience. The final leg of the tour brought us smoothly back to the Stari Grad port. It was a quick but enjoyable outing — a great way to see Dubrovnik from a different perspective. Definitely recommend this if you have a short window of time and want to get out on the water.
What a fantastic way to see Dubrovnik from the water. The trip included a tour around lokrum island. We went so close to the shore you saw so much detail.
What a great tour, captain was really good and gave us information we weren’t expecting. I would definitely recommend this trip for anyone who is thinking of a short but well run boat tour.
I wanted to take a short boat tour before leaving, and the 45-minute option was perfect. It was also more affordable than other places. Everyone was very kind and gave great explanations throughout the tour. I had a really pleasant experience. Since it wasn’t crowded, I had a good view in all directions and could fully enjoy the scenery. Highly recommended!
It was an okay boat trip for the price. But it's neither life jackets nor an English-speaking guide. Nice tour near Lokrum but I had completely wished that the boat had also gone outside ”Castely Rock”.
