The hotel is in a great location, but it’s a bit tricky to get there and back with heavy luggage since it’s in the Old Town (cars aren’t allowed in that area). I’m not sure if it’s a 3-star hotel—the night we arrived, there were no towels for drying our hands or for the bathroom floor. Breakfast is great; they bring it to you at a time that’s most convenient for you, and it’s very substantial. The staff is very friendly, but that detail about the towels when you check into a 3-star hotel seems worth mentioning to me.

Do not recommend unless you are a very heavy sleeper or go to bed late. There was extremely loud music from an irish sports bar, for what felt like all night. The bar has a second floor and we could literally open the curtains (in our pjs) and see into the bar from our window. We stayed here 2 nights on separate legs of our trip since we flew out of Dubrovnik and had this issue both nights. Luckily, we were extremely tired and are heavy sleepers so it just woke us up a few times but we were able to fall back asleep. We also ran out of hot water after one short shower, so the other person had to take a cold shower. They also ran out of towels the second night so we couldn’t get a foot towel, hand towel, or an extra body towel. Please also note that you will need to bring your luggage down the large stairs on the street down since Ubers can’t get into the old city. After the first day, we had our Ubers pick us up by Pile Gate instead of Buza Gate so we didn’t have to contend with the stairs and heavy suitcases. On the positive side… - Staff was already kind and tried to help - We could drop off our bags if rooms weren’t ready when we checked in very early - Breakfast is delivered to your room at a time you choose and was a nice bonus! - The 2nd room was stayed in (shown in pictures) was very spacious
I was disappointed with my stay, especially considering the price of around £300 per night. I chose this property because it advertised soundproof rooms and blackout curtains, but neither claim matched my experience. The curtains were thin sheer curtains that let in daylight from around 6 a.m., making it difficult to sleep. The rooms were also far from soundproof—I could clearly hear guests walking upstairs and people using the stairs throughout the stay. The breakfast was another disappointment. Rather than a continental buffet with a good selection, it was delivered to the room with very limited options. If breakfast is served this way, it should be made much clearer before booking, as it significantly affects the overall experience. Although the room was clean on arrival, the maintenance was poor. The curtains were coming away from their fittings, and the kettle did not work. Housekeeping was also below expectations. We did not receive a proper daily room service. The bed was never made, and apart from replacing the towels, very little was done to refresh the room. Overall, this stay did not meet the expectations created by the property's description and was poor value for the price paid.
We checked in to this cute little spot. It’s a great location in the old town. While it was a hike from the nearest parking we knew that would be the case. The team was great communicating up front about parking options and how to get to old town. The room came with breakfast which was great. There were 4 options and each afternoon you were asked to choose your selection. One morning I had fried eggs with avocado toast one morning. I had an omelette and one morning. I had a ham sandwich. They were all delicious and delivered right on time each morning. Yes, there were a few opportunities. The sink didn’t drain and it never got fixed. So it was a very slow drain if you wanted to shave. But even after washing your hands, it would take quite a bit of time to drain out. The space was nice and big and the location is super convenient. You walk out the door and you have tons of restaurants and all of the old town sites at your disposal. You couldn’t ask for a better location (mostly - keep reading). The one thing that wasn’t really great is that despite trying to soundproof it you’re very close to a bar downstairs. Most nights we heard quite a lot of noise because it was high season. It didn’t necessarily keep us up, but you could absolutely hear people being rowdy downstairs. This was not an issue for us. All in all, we definitely would stay here again. It’s such a nice spot to be at and you have a spacious room. It was a little strange because they took the trash out the second day and they always took away our breakfast plates. The bed never got made, but they brought us new towels. So not really sure what the housekeeping plan was, but it really wasn’t disruptive for us. Tip: Order double cappuccino in the morning or it’s very small
You are exclusively paying for location with this hotel. There is no help with bags on your long journey, no amenities, and 1 person working at the desk who basically just shows you to your room. Breakfast served to the room was good. Room was fine, nothing special. Location is in the middle of old town. We were only there for 1 night during a Croatia trip. My somewhat negative review is mostly due to the price point for what you get. At 450 EU/ $524 per night you expect a somewhat elevated experience and we certainly did not receive elevated accommodations or service. It felt like an Airbnb that served breakfast. Perhaps booking by through a 3rd party which advertises their rooms for much cheaper would make the hotel a better value. When I went to leave this review there were dozens of links to third parties with rooms starting at 225EU. I booked direct and apparently paid top dollar. At 225 EU per night, the lack of service and amenities would be a great trade off for location.
